Sexuality headcanon: gay but doesn't know it. he doesn't think he's allowed to love so he doesn't let himself think about it, ever.

Gender headcanon: you know i'd never really thought about it but. i'd kind of intrigued by the thought of him being a trans man?

A ship I have with said character: polyeden! i think they are all so cute and fun together. also the rest of eden is just so supportive of ibara i love it i care them so much...giving him an environment to try and heal while also allowing him to grow and change at his own pace instead of trying to force him to be better immediately. he's still mostly an evil little gremlin right now but eden said he deserves to be loved anyway!

A brotp I have with said character: does hinata count? i think their relationship is so funny skhldsk hinata just hangs around him all the time and gives him puppy eyes until ibara gives him a snack and a personal finance lesson it's really cute

A notp I have with said character: i don't think i really have a passionate enough dislike of it to call it a notp but i'm not really into ibahaji. like at All. i do think their friendship is very cute and i understand the appeal of the ship because Morally Dubious and Pure Uwu Angel is always compelling but they just don't do it for me. i dunno maybe i'll feel different if i ever actually get around to finishing reading bogie time dskhdsh

A random headcanon: these are always the hardest parts dhkjdkhj i forget every headcanon i've ever had. hmm i think cooking might be a love language for him actually. i think a lot about him joining niki's kitchen so he can learn to cook better food for nagisa and then refusing to cook whenever nagisa makes him angy.

General opinion over said character: man i was not expecting to love this guy but here we are. i don't know what happened. i met him in main story and was appalled by the way he talked about war. i met him in his first idol story and thought he was so silly, then he revealed it was a manipulation tactic and i was appalled once again. but then he just....kept being silly? i guess the manipulation worked because damn, i sure did fall for him huh. but also as i've gotten to know him better and caught glimpses of what's underneath he's become so compelling to me. i know like, 50% of the enstars boys have the "i have gotten so used to putting on this act that i no longer know who i really am" thing going on but ibara's particular flavor of it is fun for me, since the act he was forced to put on was that of the Evil Little Guy. now instead of learning that he doesn't have to be this perfectly sculpted image of joy like a lot of the others do, he has to learn that he's allowed to be good. to be soft. being evil is Not the only thing he's good for and he's worthy of being alive even if he's not being wielded as a tool for the sake of others or even his own benefit!!! oh and also he's hot

Finished this fast but the pain is augh. Took me 5 hours to artline and another 8 to colour and finish. 2 days and it finished~~

I'm quite proud of it even though I could see some imperfections. I'm proud of myself because I don't care there's some tiny miniscule imperfections!! (I can't draw hands consistently ffs)

I did a lot of post edit colour correction and shit so if their colour looks off to you, it's because IT IS OFF AND MY MISTAKE CAUSE I DIDN'T LOOK AT REFERENCE AA In the raw files Ibara looked like Ariel instead of Ibb with how red her hair was... It still kinda is

Anw I did the gold border to make it looked like an illustration out of a story book. I have love hate feelings about it. I like how it looked but without it looks so good as well...

Horne ness took over my body and soul when I draw Ibara. She's topless, yes. I did the usual anime censoring lol. AND SHE HAS BELLY BUTTON PIERCING AUGH ARGH AAAAAAAAAAAA. When I saw femstars week day 5 with tattoos and piercings my mind literally blanked and imagined Ibara with body piercings. Like you know what I mean. Just imagine.

This is my first time drawing Hiyori I hope I did her justice 🙇‍♀️ I referenced her outfit from her global exclusive card, yno which I'm referring too. Hopefully that card won't come to EN soon... Since Ibara doesn't have a mermaid outfit, she doesn't get any clothes /hj

In my mind this is Mermaid!Hiyori/Siren!Ibara. At first I want to do night time, since I think sirens come at night or smthng but then I couldn't care enough.

The story I have in mind are polyeden of course.

Nagi and Jun lived in that castle. Hiyo always wanted to go outside but Ibara advice her not to but she did anyway and met Jun and bla bla bla fell in love. Ibara was like "why" and try to go outside as well. There she met Nagi and at first their relationship was the usual "using eachother" but then fell in love ofc. Idk how to make it polyeden but it's polyeden idc. The story could be m/m f/m f/f or others, it doesn't matter tbh.

I could try write it but in my mind it'll be at least 30k long and it'll take me 4 years to do that.

In global exclusive cards, Adam are those creatures with wings, tails and tight outfits. While Eve are mermaids. At first I wanna do that, but then horne.

Adam's outfits could very much be incubus outfits... Especially with the tail...

Okay first of all... I think Eden is a very fun poly ship material because they have a nice group dynamic but each individual dynamic are a little different, also, the members are very much themselves with each other.

A lot of the times the issue I have with poly ships in fandom is:

the individual relationships within feels too similar and thus their characterizations gets a bit flattened in group dynamic (polystar)

it feels too harem-y (polyundead)

one pairing within takes up too much attention (polyfine)

Polyeden is really great because each combination have pretty distinct dynamic within, so it doesn't get flattened, but when they're all together it's a new harmonious thing, making the whole greater than the sum of its parts.

Okay so in my mind, they were on their way to becoming a stable poly between Conquest and SS. And then... you know... NagiIba problems.

What I really enjoy seeing is seeing Nagisa a little jealous of Jun in Conquest, and then you see him gets closer to Jun in a lot of their smaller idol stories and scout stories. (Nagisa FS2?? POLYEDEN FUEL IT HAS EVERYTHING.)

So how I picture it is NagiHiyo use to be queerplatonic/sibling-ish vibes. NagiIba starts off with their non-romantic dom/sub contract, and their fondness for each other grows gradually throughout their partnership. IbaJun gets on well together.

When HiyoJun officially mutually affirms their relationship like "this is a thing", Nagisa would be the first to know and he'd be drawn in immediately. And then Nagisa and Jun would slowly gently try to invite Ibara in. Hiyori doesn't put as much effort partially because Ibara is his least favorite family member (he still loves him tho lol) but also because if he commits to it he'll be too intense and that'd scare Ibara off. <- Anyway that's where I picture they all are before SS.

Due to personal bias I'm always an Adam stan first and for most. Just... Nagisa's Idol Story 2. Ibara asks Nagisa to evolve his emperor role and he prepares a whole new write-up, Nagisa is reluctant but still humors him, but ultimately asserted himself and decided not to WHILE STILL APPRECIATING IBARA'S EFFORT AND THANKING HIM FOR THE NEW LEARNING OPPORTUNITY, and Ibara was just fine with this and didn't mind at all that his work went to waste, cause Nagisa got to learn something new and develop himself.

THEY'RE SO TENDER AND RESPECTFUL OF EACH OTHER'S BOUNDARIES, ACTUALLY??? A RARITY IN ENSTARS!!! I mean I think this is because they start off with a dom/sub contract, which makes them more boundary conscious. But the way they interact is so tender and careful and loving and they treat each other like something precious.

Just. Ibara being genuinely happy whenever Nagisa learns something.

Nagisa always appreciating Ibara's effort even when he chastise him and disagrees.

You honor they love each other so much.

Anyway can you believe I've never written about Eden ever I really don't know how my inspiration works but they're so precious to me I want them to hold hands.

Hmm, maybe HiyoIba? It's just that the ship itself doesn't have a lot of substance and there's nothing romantic about the dynamic the two have. They're two girlbosses <3 It sits in the middle of being a rarepair but also not because polyeden..

Oh right yeah, I did say I don't like that Alkaloid simply places Tatsumayo as the father and nother but— TATSUMAYO itself, is a decent ship. We have the "eye colors match the other's hair" thing going on and the "person who thinks they don't deserve love and the person who loves them like it's breathing" energy.

polyeden and any pairings within that unit is usually my #1, there's just so MUCH for me to latch onto ugh they are so in love. adam, eve, seniors, juniors, dynamic doesn't matter i just adore them ugh

obviously my url comes into play here... i am rowing this little canoe as hard as i can but nagimayo is so real TO ME... i genuinely forget they've barely interacted bc they are probably my top ship outside of eden. they are perfect for each other in my eyes

i love a nagisa rarepair. really into him and kaoru together lately, entirely the fault of @menodorasmoon if i'm being honest. kaonagi the world. i also love ultissimo as a ship and just as a dynamic in general; wataru and nagisa absolutely have a ton of stuff in common despite the contrast in their general demeanors. i am also a big fan of him with rei, tatsumi, hell just about anyone

yuushino - yknow i know less abt their actual canon dynamic than i'd like to admit (i STILL have not found a tl of shiny first years) but i do know that they're friends!!! and quite good ones at that :> from what i know abt them i get the idea that they care abt each other a lot and they're very important to one another. they seem very calm and stable as a romantic pairing (aside from yknow . the usual that comes with being a teenager in love)

the rest of the polyeden square - i could literally talk about polyeden forever i hope u kno. i think hiyojun are fun tbh !! there's a Bit of a power dynamic thing w the context of how reimei works but honestly i think even as hiyori plays into the jun being his pet/servant bit, he still makes sure to recognize jun as his whole, own person. he's said that he picked jun for a reason and because he sees qualities in jun that he admires, and hiyori's so outright about love and the love he has for his unitmates . jun also isn't afraid to call hiyori out on his shit. also they just have such a funny dynamic they contain multitudes and the multitudes are so funny. nagihiyo are just . they are so in love and devoted and important to one another. childhood friends to lovers real i think theyve been at least a little in love with each other their entire lives. they also see each other as equals which is sosososo important for both of them - nagisa in particular esp considering Why hiyori's family took him in but i think nagisa bein able to recognize hiyori and see how hiyori stands out and see him as more than the second tomoe son is really important 2 their dynamic. jun and ibara :3 i like that they call each other soulmates as a bit but also like yeah. they get each other. they're both really determined hardworking ppl who have 2 deal with nagisa and hiyori's insanity and also have a harder time accepting love or being vulnerable due to needing to be strong as means of escaping some of their hardships in the past. also its like girlboss4malewife u know . girlboss ibara comes back from a hard day in the office to her quiche-making boywife jun sazanami

Sorry I've had these finished charts lying around for a bit but I wanted to say something about them!

Madara:

I don't know Madara as well as my claim to be MadaraP at hard may suggest to be honest- I mainly just vibe with him real hard wjwjsk

That being said I feel like he gets misrepresented in the fandom as...some specific brand of evil quite a bit? That doew not fit his brand.

I genuinely cant tell if I know more or less than the average person about him, and I cant tell if I totally het him or dont get him at all

He's fun and I want to study him more <3

Nagisa:

I feel very fondly about him!!!! And weirdly protective honestly. Maybe I should have given him a "done dirty by the fans" badge because somehow sometimes he gets....his agency taken away by some people I guess? And also somehow portrayed as malicious? But I don't interact with the fandom super much so it's always just individual posts.

Anyways i love him he makes me so very happy actually. I love him I love his niche interests I love his brand I love his gender

I also love Polyeden so there's that I have a HUGE soft spot for them <3

I think about Nagisa a decent amount but honestly could always be more >:)

OH HEY WE FINALLY GOT A BINGO

the adam half of this relationship is just ibara evil laughing and getting up to Shenanigans while nagisa is like "as long as you're happy dear" they've committed so many crimes as a result. also it's so funny when nagisa decides to remind ibara he's the leader for a reason and ibara briefly turns into a Wronged Woman in return. i don't have many coherent thoughts about them but i feel their entire relationship can be summed up with "maybe i can't fix him but i can definitely fuck him" and sometimes that's all you need.

the inventors of gay people, Even (yes i saw that)

definitely one of the most canon couples in the entire franchise, it's hiyojun! they're idiots who love each other no matter how inconsiderate they act towards each other sometimes. in direct opposition to the adam half, these two are probably the only things stopping each other from being gay doing crimes...most of the time. they're so cute with their simple honest affection and casual need for the other's presence. also it was so iconic when they kissed on stage (all three times) man what a time to be alive.

Eden, the second poly unit i ever loved

the fascinating thing about polyeden as a whole is that even though the individual halves enable and even sometimes encourage each other's worst behaviors (especially adam) together they are all actively working to better themselves and each other. nagisa is learning to act on his own and become his own person. ibara is unpacking his childhood trauma and unlearning the things he's been conditioned to do and to think about himself. hiyori is learning that sometimes it's worth it to do something warui hiyori for the sake of the people he loves. jun is learning not to think so little of himself and stand alongside the others as equals. and they all love each other so much, eden is so important to every single one of them that if you even so much as lift a finger against it or one of its members you're in for a world of hurt. they're family too and at this point they wouldn't know what do to without each other. again i really don't feel like i can articulate how i feel about them but just know that there's so much love there even if it looks way different from the usual.

I love polyeden platonically but my issue with it usually when romantic or so is that they're 3/4 or all asexual, to me. With Jun being the only one that's very much is gay, and has plenty of interactions outside of Eden. cough. junmako cough

Sadly I don't know for sure which ships you talk about (a few of course but I dunno if that's all of them)!

But I'll give you Yuzutori and if you talk about that one too often (I remember you writing something about their relationship but that wasn't necessarily romantic) then PolyEden!

Yuzutori

I do love them. I think they're a very precious pair of good kids who wants to do right by each other. (Primavera made my heart very soft.) But like. Also. They were fundamentally fucked up due to uh... Tori's family.

Like... I think growing up being told "this whole ass person belongs to you" is pretty fucked up. But then having this friend just suddenly be taken away without explanation one day and then returned different is like... also pretty traumatizing for a young child. There's just a lot to unpack there.

I cannot stress enough that they need to get therapy separately. Not together... lol...

I didn't circle the platonic part because I think their relationship defies categorization that way. I mean it's kind of anachronistic, right? Like I don't think either romance or friendship would quite cut it. Maybe a bit queerplatonic but I think it's a bit all over the place.

Anyway I do have a yuzutori fic that kinda outline a lot of my thoughts on them (probably one of my best fics in this fandom, if I do say so myself.) But like... in general I'm very proud of how much they're growing alongside each other and becoming their own people.

Like... their relationship has a really poisoned basis and I totally understand the viewpoint that think they should spend more time apart. But they still wanna be in each other's lives! And I think that's very precious of them and I support them gaining independence together.

I don't have a rant for polyeden. Just know that I love them and I think they're the best poly in enstars no contest 10/10.
