Like I just know kids LOVEEE him. imagine bringing him to a family function... The lil cousins would be ALL up on him. Thinking about him carrying like 3 kids at once and makin em all laugh and giggle has my HEART SOFTT. I feel like they would ask for his studded bracelets or his rings (and he would give them some too AHH). Also, i don't know about anyone else but when I was growing up and we had cookouts, all the kids would have dance battles. and I can jus see Hobie letting the youngins try to teach him all of their dances it would be hilarious 😭

you ever think about how the byers are the town pariahs, they have a reputation of being freaks and weirdos, the whole town looks at them as those people, and yet despite this a little mike wheeler saw the “sensitive” kid the whole town looked down on sitting alone on the swing set and all he thought is that both of them were alone so maybe they could be alone together

and he probably heard whispers from his parents and other kids, sly comments he never truly understood because they were so young, and even despite that, with will being an outcast and repelling people by the dozens, he chose to stay by him, choosing to be a black sheep even though with his family he had every opportunity to be the worlds golden boy

he couldve been like all the other kids and pointed and laughed and been the perfect little son, but instead he chose to stick by the town queer and play nerdy games and defend his best friend despite how much it damaged his appearance in the eyes of the masses
