Initial D Headcanons - What's their random/useless talent?
Project D!
Keisuke - He can solve a rubix cube. He used to never understand how people did it, but one of his friends in high school made fun of him because he couldn’t solve it. It then became his obsession for the next two weeks, and he’s now able to solve it in record time.
Ryosuke - He can write with both his right and left hand, both separately and simultaneously,. Also really good at drawing organs, skeletons and different kinds of medical-related diagrams. They're always extremely accurate, and he can sketch the human skeleton in under 2 minutes.
Takumi - He’s able to do the flower tongue fold. When he got bored, or zoned out as a kid he tended to fold his tongue differently subconsciously. Itsuki thinks it's both super cool and super gross. He can also wiggle his ears. He is also super good at crane games and has won Itsuki almost everything he’s wanted.
Tomiguchi - Is an expert pen spinner. He learned how to spin pens a bunch of different ways, and you can often tell how he feels from how he’s spinning them. If he’s spinning them really fast or doing the endless spin, he’s nervous. If he's pushing it back and forth between his thumb and forefingers, he’s thinking really hard about something. He is also a GOD at dance dance revolution.
Kenta - He can burp the alphabet. He saw somebody do it in elementary school once and spent weeks learning how. Kenta also has pretty flexible fingers and can bend them back to touch his wrist. He used to have a habit of bending his fingers all the way to the back of his wrist, then hooking them underneath his bracelet and just leaving it there. It never bothered him but it freaked Keisuke so he stopped doing it.
Matsumoto - He’s really good at untangling jewelry. Even the smallest knots he finds someway to undo. He’s also really good at juggling. His best is four things at once, but if you have him hold any two (nonfragile) objects, like a fruit or a water bottle, you’d likely come back and find him juggling with them.
Fumihiro - SUPER good at shadow puppeting. Like he can make a bunch of different animals and objects, almost anything you give him. He’s also really good at catching flies for some reason. Like if he sees one buzzing nearby he can swipe it with startling accuracy, and he kills them on the first try every single time.
Gas Station Gang!
Kenji - Really good at making balloon animals. He can make the most random animals in just a few seconds. He can also jump rope really well, and can do tricks with it, such as crossing his arms back and forth and hopping on one foot. Kenji is also super good at baton twirling. Catching it between his fingers, spinning it over his shoulders, everything. He never officially learned how, he just saw somebody do it once. Now whenever he has a somewhat long and cylindrical object in his hand, he will do small spins with it.
Iketani - I can imagine him being able to make really good impressions of people. He used to practice the voices of people from his favorite TV show when he was younger, so it became a habit. He’s also REALLY good at whistling and can do a cartwheel. He has a pretty decent memory, which allows him to recognize the makes and models of so many different cars, as well as have a small fun fact about almost all of them. It also means he tends to memorize people's license plates when he gets bored at the gas station. Also he can moonwalk.
Itsuki - He can hula hoop almost practically forever. Found out during a middle school PE class where he spent the entire time trying to teach Takumi how (he still doesn’t understand). He can peel oranges/tangerines with the peel still in one piece. He’s also really good with chopsticks, as his mom made him practice a lot when he was younger. He can replace them with almost anything (crayons, pencils, ex) and use them just fine.
Bonus:
Bunta - He can make smoke rings. He used to show them to baby Takumi and it blew him AWAY. This kid was amazed. Bunta also has amazing hearing, despite his age. He complains about crickets and dripping faucets while he’s trying to sleep.

I just finished my annual re-read of quantum meruit and man i love that comic so much thank you for making it. I was wondering if you had a favorite part that you've made? Mine's probably part 9 or part 13-1.
thank you so much for taking the time to read it! i think batch 13 is probably my favorite too. i had a lot of fun drawing those chunks of pages for the turnabout samurai courtroom scenes and of course i'd been excited to hit the Unnecessary Feelings bit from the getgo. i feel like it's the part where i really got the chance to establish what kind of person i view edgeworth as.
in a lot of ways that's the most load-bearing thing in the writing. i enjoy writing mia a ton but i have a lot more leeway there because she has less canon to work with and the fandom is less invested in whatever conceptualization they may have of her. on the flipside all of the work of establishing phoenix's internal world was already done by shu takumi. i've barely shown any internal thought processes for phoenix and that's very intentional because i think having to see the bizarre way he acts without being in his shoes for it gives him a different flavor (hence a big part of why aa4 is so fun). so then by process of elimination being able to sell the core conceit of this comic kinda relies on being able to sell my version of edgeworth, which i think does have some fundamental differences from General Consensus.
In general, this page from that batch is probably the one i'm the most satisfied with out of everything i've drawn for this comic. i think it manages to do a lot very efficiently in a way i find hard to pull off.

Oh, these are hard ones. There are a lot of people I can think of that fits these. I'll start with a few people who fit these and then make other posts with the other people who fit these.
💻 ― excellent writing
@s-talking is not only an excellent writer, but also a talented artist and created one of the best OCs that I know of. I will be including Envy for being a well-developed OC and I always admired the years of work they put into their muses, which includes Envy.
. Their writing is incredibly intricate and illustrates Envy's perspectives and show how dangerous he is. The Mun's writing captivates readers, drawing them into a story of the darkness of an Eldritch entity driving Envy to delve deeper into madness. I always look forward to seeing more of that. I love his interactions with Harmony and she loves him dearly despite the grim secrets he carries.
Most important of all, the Mun is very kind and a cherished friend. The drabbles and threads we have, the art like the gifts and commissions, and the messages exchanged brighten my day. I often look back at them when things get rough and I find comfort in the pieces. Envy-Mun helped me be a better writer and also a better person with their support and advice. My friend has done a lot for me over the years and I always strive to do the same. They deserve happiness and good things to happen!

There are a lot, and I mean a lot of OCs that are masterpieces in their own way. They deserve all the love and I am willing to make separate posts for these OCs I have in mind because they deserve the spotlight.
@whispers-in-daydreams has a variety of OCs that have their own stories and Scarlett-mun has put so much love into each of them. Scarlett is my favorite of her OCs because I love her style and she's a baker has has no f***s to give. Harmony certainly admires Scarlett for her beauty and talents. I also love the kinds of trouble that these two get into!
@handcavity made an truly unique OC of a doll that carries the soul of a girl who was betrayed by the cult she was raised in. The OC called Her is a kind spirit who longs for company, but bears a curse that brings others who are close to Her dire consequences. This is different from what we see with haunted dolls because Her is not malevolent or see joy in harming others. She is also alluring but also unnerving. However, Her is not sinister. In fact, she is a tortured soul bound to the doll with a powerful demon.
😍 ― admiring from afar
@spectralhunter is someone I always admired from afar. He does amazing work in his writing and with his muses, both OC and canon. Takumi is a well-developed OC who is a paranormal investigator looking for ways to gain fame on his livestreams and channel. I consider the mun as a friend and I am thankful to have him and Envy-mun as my friends and rp partners. These two are a dynamic duo and seeing their is always a treat!
I followed the Mun for years and led me to also meeting other horror roleplayers who became my friends and great rp partners. I'm grateful for his friendship and the threads and drabbles we write.
@b-erserk makes a great Guts! I started to get into a bit of Berserk and made an AU that would work better for that world. I can't wait to write more with Guts in the future!

I was late to my own event but by god i’m still gonna do it!
drawing some updated designs for my Tokyo Mew Mew nextgen team! Most are retcons of old characters, but one of them is brand new. I have info about them under the cut if you’re interested!
First, in the black outfit, is Riko Aoyama, aka Mew Licorice. Her original name was Miyoko, but I changed it to Riko to fit more of the food naming theme (”riko” is just the first half of “rikorisu”, the pronunciation of licorice in Japanese). She is the daughter of Masaya, Ichigo, and Lettuce, and she is infused with the DNA of the Javan Leopard. She’s a little bit hard to get to know, as she can be a little prickly and introverted, but she’s very determined and has a strong sense of justice. She is 15 at the time of her infusion.
In the pink outfit is Mochi Aoyama aka Mew Mochi. She’s changed quite a bit from her original design; she used to be a blond infused with a labrador retriever, with a black and white outfit, and her name used to be Kanna. I decided to go for the three-colored mochi design for her instead, and she’s now infused with the DNA of a Darwin’s Fox. She is also one of Ichigo, Masaya, and Lettuce’s kids (the trio has two other kids, Takumi and Suika, who are not mew mews.) Mochi is shy and nervous and tends to hide behind her big sister Riko most of the time. She is 11 years old.
In the blue we have Kazumi Aizawa, aka Mew Mooncake. She is the adoptive daughter of Mint and Zakuro, and she took Mint’s last name to avoid the spotlight of Zakuro’s. She has a twin sister who is not a mew mew named Mai. Kazumi is infused with a Japanese Crane, and she’s 16 years old. Kazumi is very cheerful, kind, and enthusiastic; she works as a model and would like to become an actress. In her original iteration, she was the daughter of Zakuro and Keiichiro for some reason lol, and she was originally infused with a Mexican Gray Wolf, but I decided I had too many canines lol.
In the green is Suān Chéng Fong, aka Mew Lime. She is one of Taruto and Pudding’s kids, one of triplets. The other two are called Yòu Zi and Níng Méng (their names are all just words for citrus fruits: lime, lemon, and grapefruit). In her original design, Suān Chéng was named Kiseki, but I thought in hindsight that it was really weird for the daughter of a Chinese woman and an alien to have a Japanese name. She also used to be infused with a Chinese dragon, cause I thought dragons were cool, but I decide to make her infused with an okapi instead this time around. She’s very cheerful, energetic, and takes after her mother quite a bit. She’s 13 years old.
In the white is Sugiri Meguro aka Mew Currant, the only son of Berry and Tasuku. He’s probably changed the MOST. His original color was light blue, but I didn’t want him to overlap with Kazumi, and in his original iteration, his name was Sora and he was the son of Kish and an OC of mine lol. Since I’m detaching these kids from the original OC-centric story they were going to be the sequel too, that OC isn’t canon to this universe, so I decided to slide him over to another couple instead XD. He’s infused with a black-footed ferret (instead of the original wolf I had assigned to him). Sugiri is very adventurous, a little bit reckless, and definitely one of the most supportive people you’ll ever meet.
Then finally, in the purple, is a brand new character I made just this year, Makkaron Fiala, aka Mew Macaron! She’s actually an alien, and she’s the adopted daughter of Pai and his life partner (another newish oc of mine named Fran). She’s infused with the DNA of a roe deer, and she’s a very sweet gentle girl who loves cute and soft things, and loves to visit Earth to collect flowers.
And that’s them!! I’ll do a few more things with them with the OC week prompts (Even though I’m late) but I’m just very excited to have new designs of them!!

she is the parasol lady! she is a terrible person and that's about all there is to it dghdhfg. her family life was shit on all sides so she turned to a life of hard crime at age 14. she attempts to poison ALL her problems away like any time someone gets on her tail she tries to poison them to make them fuck off. it never works but somehow she still got away w so much shit before she was caught.
except even death wasn't enough for her she literally hung around as a pissed off vengeful ghost after she was executed. she literally refuses to die. im obsessed with her she is absolutely vile. when i announced i was kin w her on here someone was just like 'of course you are' so idk what that says about me fdgfdgdf

YESSSSSS so miles has pess who is never actually shown in canon she's from an interview where the creator just casually dropped that miles has a dog and we all ran with it. pess has no specified characteristics beyond being very big and--no one indulges this, no one draws this--she has a little cravat on her collar. i have never seen anyone draw the cravat. a lot of ppl hc her as a borzoi, she was some kinda collie in my canon. we all kinda seem to agree that she has a really thick/long coat, and that she's a girl.
miles also has a SEPARATE dog in the anime, a little pomeranian named missile that larry found on the side of the road. larry and phoenix were both sure their parents would say no to a dog so miles took it home and gregory was like sure whatever. and then manfred was like sure whatever.
missile in the anime is named after a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, THIRD DOG in the games, a shiba inu that's meant to be a police dog i think but gumshoe definitely isn't training him. missile the shibe was never in the anime (he's kind of an optional lore in the games) so they named missile the pom in his honour.
yanni yogi famously has a parrot named polly after his dead fiancee. this parrot got my father incarcerated and placed on death row. incredible life i lead.
the berry big circus has a fucking multitude of animals including but not limited to a monkey named money who will steal any shiny shit he sees near you
local scumbag matt engarde has a fucking cat named SHOE and i think about shoe every fucking day of my life, he's supposed to be named after shu takumi the creator of aa but im not gonna be over them romanizing it as SHOE his fucking cat is named shoe.
i have never played the sequel trilogy but apparently apollo justice has a cat named mikeko that he claims is his girlfriend. kristoph gavin has a dog named vongole or some shit?? im scared of the sequels.
OH AND HERLOCK AND IRIS HAVE A LITTLE CALICO KITTY NAMED WAGAHAI WHO I THINK ABOUT EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE AND GINA HAS A LITTLE BLACK PUPPY NAMED TOBY. I FORGOT HOW MANY ANIMALS THERE WERE IN THESE GAMES

A thread with the 1st slot report from azifxxx, Zepp Tokyo with Kyo and Shinya
F: Hello everyone at Zepp Tokyo! I'm DIR's manager Fujieda.
T: I'm manager Takabayashi.
F: today in Tokyo it's the last day (...) now I'd like to invite two band members to start the talk event! Give them applause!
Shinya arrives, then Kyo.
Kyo wore a black beret and big glasses, blackish grey jacket, some yellow badge on the left side? and grey denim. Shinya (Yamo-chan) wore all black, double jacket? it looked very soft. When entering the stage Kyo did 'Fujifuji pose' to F...
F: today Kyo and Shinya came to the event! How are you doing, the two of you?
S: I'm always fine. 24h a day. Just got bit foolish in Sendai due to snow...
K: yeah... I'm also good...
F: for both of you it's your second time, going straight to the point what's the most impactful/memorable thing in 2020 for you?
S: not COVID?
F: from the band's point of view it is.
S: it didn't feel like being in a band. There were no concerts at all.
F: for you, Kyo? (pretending to eat)
K: PS5.
S: I see.
K: I couldn't get it. That's all I can think about.
S: I want it too, but not that much... can you play Dead by Daylight on PS5? having ps4 edition?
K: you can.
S: then I want it. I also applied for it, but as I wasn't contacted I don't think I won.
F: there's nothing besides PS5?
K: the fan who said in the message they're getting it next day, they are probably playing right now.. I get angry again when I think about it. K: you draw 3 or 4 fingers for a bear! A horse gets 2! is the claw here (between the fingers?)? the claws come out here (pointing back of the hand)?
S: there are no fingers there (in the back of the hand)
K: and it is listening standing in front of the speaker? Its ears will get bad! Listening to such loud sound in front of the speaker! you will go nuts!
F: so Kyo, you were praising the choker a lot in Osaka.
K: ... (looks at the choker) ...(starts to tie the choker)...(puts the choker in front of F)
F: it can be tied up? Is that a good point? Ah, you mean that it can be displayed like this? It's a very popular item so everyone please get one!
Today there are only two tables, on the right (kamite) sits Shinya with Takabayashi, on the left (shimote) Fujieda with Kyo
F: any no-no topics for the questions? (S says nothing) I hope it’ going to be interesting... what kind of outfit are you wearing today?
S: I’m wearing black... the hood is...(hesitates) like Penyu
K: (smiling😊)
S: I realized today that it’s like Penyu. Not because Kyo came today as well.
K: suddenly getting closer, feels bad

S: Area or Cyber recently got closed, right? I really don't remember... didn't we only play at Rock-may-kan? I think no small venues [we played at] are left in Kansai? only Cowboy or Muse Hall.
K: I guess only Rock-may-kan.
Ta: how about for Shibere Bajiru?
K: with going straight to Shibire (like paying too much attention?), is that a shoulder pad. No? I wanted to see~
F: Cyber, Area is a very sad news... K, you don't have any [venues]?
K: not really...
Ta: 'what's the book you've recently read or a movie you've seen?'
S: ehm... nothing much... I also don't really read manga. But I've seen Demon Slayer. I got into it after watching anime.
K: heh, about Demon Slayer, I ordered the comics to be delivered, but only volumes 4~8 came. Am I supposed to start from vol 4? Wouldn't it be horrible? don't wanna start there
K: there's this thing I have, only get into it after it stops being so popular. I also didn't watch yesterday.
F: what kind of books do you read?
K: I read various things ... but I'm really excited about the new story from the Innocent.
Ta: 'what's your kanji of the year?'
S: 心・kokoro from 心夜・Shinya
Ta: isn't that the same every year?
K: for me... nothing really.
Ta: what was it this year (officially)?
S: 密・mitsu・crowd/carefulness, right?
K: (still trying to think) ...nothing really.
F: 'if you were to play on a different position in a band?'
S: by elimination only the guitar is left.
K: not the vocals? You're going for the guitar??
S: I'm not going for the vocals...
K: but you sing in karaoke?
S: I can't sing...
K: there's emotional singing! You're often angry!
S: I haven't gotten angry in 10+ years
K: but you sing the chorus!
S: but there's only short phrase with the chorus...
K: but you're doing lotsa of choruses
S: well... I'm practicing...but vocals are the most impossible for me...
'If you done something else than vocals?'
K: Takumi's position is good, watching the band members from the side, if it's something else than vocals then from the side is good.
S: but you like bass? That's the only idea I have for you.
K: that's only when song writing though!?
S: but you've been playing everywhere, right?
K: where everywhere? I haven't!
S: you have that time... (=sukekiyo)
Ta: aren't we going fast today? 'is there any country you'd like to visit?'
S: if possible I don't want to go...
K: but you're always going somewhere alone. To play board games etc
S: it only happened because I was already going.
Ta: Kyo doesn't want to go like "I'm!Not!Going!"
K: I'm playing a bit online games (Fortnite), but I'm told I suck at it. When you suck at something it's usually better to quit, I'm told so, many times, why is this guy going that way or is he going to the enemy's site on purpose? I'm told things like that from 6:30 in the morning sometimes.
K: if I (my heart) get broken by that how should I continue living?
S: I'm being told 'how are you living?'. I'm using the pig character but it feels like I'm living like a pig. I can block out the talk, but I'd rather hear those terrible opinions.
K: but it's hard
S: it is really hard.
K: when I played with Fujieda it was going well! He told me, get down or make your nose bigger
S: it also went well when we played, don't go there, let's go there and so on.
K: but the fights take about 20 mins in DbD, right? I'm dead in Fortnite in about 10 seconds
Ta: 'what do you like about F?'
S: he's always full of energy and almost never gets sad
K: his nose? Doesn't it get bigger as you look at it?
F: is that a praise?
K: it's easy to breathe and the mask stays on. Hands down it's your nose.
F: 'what song would you like to listen to very loudly?'
S: I'm not good with loud sounds... I prefer to listen quietly.
F: what do you listen to nowadays?
S: our new song(s)
K: I also don't want to listen (loudly), not really...
F: how about a song to listen quietly?
K: nothing special
F: Fujifuji!x
K: (ignoring him) (removes invisible dust from his shoulder)
Ta: 'what would you ask Santa for?'
S: it would be PS5?
K: Me? After all of that, I don't need it anymore, don't come. How does he get inside? There is no chimney. Is he picking a lock? Is Santa like a cockroach? Pretending to be dead when they're not... but maybe Santa is fine with all of that.
K: in the past, when I was in elementary school I was happy when Santa came, but then at some point he stopped coming. Wasn't that a crime (Santa's visits)? and parents also don't know how he comes in, isn't that scary? And from that time he doest come. I don't want him to come anymore.
'What song do you want to play when you can do concerts again?'
S: And Zero. I saod that in Sendai as well, but if it's not mode of Arche we probably won't...
Kyo: I don't really have one..
F: Do you want to play new songs?
K: I haven't listen to it (them). Isn't it how it is that you listen to them even when you weren't planning to? you dot feel like listening so much to the song you made yourself, no?
S: I also haven't listened to the new song(s) much.
Ta: Fujieda is listening to new songs a lot, in a car.
K: isn't that a bit narcissistic?
F: you don't want to perform new songs?
S: I already did while filming the music videos... doesn't that count?
'what time you go to bed and wake up?'
S: I go to bed at 6 and wake up at 1pm. It's my cycle.
K: I go to sleep at 1 and wake up around half nine. Should be around then? So there's someone who wants to know information like this?
F: they want to imagine (their lives)
K: and for what? Even if they know the time they don't know what we do
K: what time you wake up and then what time do you make coffee, make a toast, I don't understand why asking that, what's the point?
F: Shinya, is there something you'd like to know about Kyo?
S: I want to know everything.
K: I hate it that this person is called a doctor.
F: when the band has just started you two have met as first, right? What was your impression then?
S: I thought he's a really good person.
K: ...Oh?
F: And did you hit it off/became friends?
K: he didn't speak like this then. He spoke one or two things a day. He had long black hair and earrings.
S: You've bleached that black hair for me.
K: and, he said 'thank you' but... he said his kanji of the year is 心・heart, but he's the one without one. For over 20 years all band members are saying that he's like a robot or humanoid. When you go to his house he will reply with 'what is it?' with the chain on the door.
S: this is because when a certain member came some things happened...
K: But when I came over I was nice! I want to visit! Remodel stuff! (with enthusiasm)
S: remodeling... (like the certain member) there are issues like that and that's why you're banned...
'is it weird if your mother comes to the concerts?'
K: isn't it okay?
S: and brings dad...
K: I'd love to see mother headbanging. The deep one when you start from waist!
F: do your parents come to the shows?
S: mine often come.
F: your parents as well, Kyo?
K: sometimes.
F: is it something you welcome?
K: yeah.

Sanyu's Thoughts on Sendai Division
Ryūzō Mizutori
"This guy is a professor at a university. ...Meh, not really an interesting profession, at least in my opinion. I know Ming goes crazy over that kind of stuff. But besides that..." Sanyu looks at Ryūzō's photo. "...It's obvious from his demeanor that this guy has some demons in his closet. Like he's done a lot of things he isn't proud of. Of course, that's practically everyone in Japan, but this guy... he seems to harbor a lot of pain and resentment. I guess we have that in common..."
Takumi Wakaba
"Another professor, only this one seems to be more focused on getting active than learning in a classroom. I imagine him and Tasuku would get along well in that regard then. They're pretty much one and the same: they both are perverted womanizers and have don't know the meaning of 'inside voices'."
Kotono Ohara
Sanyu stares long and hard at the physics teacher's photo. "This woman... I can't help but feel that I know her. I mean, I know she's a professor, but... there's something else..." Sanyu brings the photo close to her, her mouth slowly falling open as she continues looking at the photo, curious and confused.
"I'm not crazy. I know this woman from somewhere. ...But where? Chuohku? Possibly, but... it's not just that. She..." Sanyu stops speaking as her eyes lock on the pendant around the woman's neck.
"That pendant... where do I know that thing fr- ...Ah!" Sanyu stops speaking as her head is hit by an intense pain, like before. She falls to the ground, grasping her head, before screaming out loud and fainting.
Kiya Kara
Sanyu is in her room in her bed, asleep with the comforter concealing her entire body save her neck. On the side of her mattress is a billboard with all three members of the Sendai Division team. Ryūzō and Takumi have no writing around them, but Kotono has a circle drawn around her picture with the words: 'WHO ARE YOU?' written in all caps. A badly-drawn picture of her pendant is drawn underneath her photo. Underneath the drawing, the words, 'WHY DO YOU HAVE THIS?' is written.

I drew the thing I most afraid of......Full bodies *shudders*
Anyways, I need some sort-off full body reference for my the SnKimiko-Cast (my Shokugeki Next Gen). I also decided that I would draw them in their school uniform. So well, here we go with the first batch: The Main Four.
From left to right:
Yukihira Kimiko: Daughter of Soma & Erina Yukihira, Kimiko is Sumiredori Shopping District’s pride and joy. Her family’s diner is the most important place on earth to Kimiko and she has been honing her skills there ever since her parents deemed her old enough. Kimiko is a very down-to-earth persona but one should not underestimate her. She is perfectly aware of what she’s capable of and would not back away from a challenge. She recently made her transfer to Totsuki, albeit a little reluctantly.
Kimiko practices the so-called “Yukihira-style”, which means affordable ingredients and limitless creativity. She always held a particular fascination for French cuisine however which even leads to her joining the French RS on Totsuki.
Hayama Kaori: Daughter of Akira & Hisako Hayama, Kaori is one of Totsuki’s current crown-jewels and the valedictorian of the 115th Generation. Kaori has a very sophisticated and elegant aura to her which many would describe as “noble”, “queen-like” even. She puts a lot of distance between herself and her peers as Kaori deems herself way too busy for social interactions. Kaori is a diligent and hard worker who firmly aims for the first seat in the Elite 10. And she won’t let anyone stand in her way.
Kaori is specialised in medicinal cooking and she is considered a child prodigy in that field. Kaori’s dishes energize greatly and soon enough people began saying that her cooking possessed the power of “giving back youth”, which earned her the title: “Gatekeeper of the Fountain of Eternal Youth”.
Hiroshi Aldini-Tadokoro (usually just called “Tadokoro” by friends): Son of Isami & Megumi Aldini-Tadokoro, Hiroshi is known to be Polar Star’s resident angel. Hiroshi’s soft-spoken, peaceful nature often appears out-of-place in an environment like Totsuki’s and he tends to disappear off people’s radars rather quickly. Those who do actually get to know him will come to realize that Hiroshi is incredibly gentle and kind. He’s very helpful and can read people astonishingly well. You can bet that he’ll comfort and solace anyone who needs it. While his friends have nothing but nice words to say about him, Hiroshi himself doubts himself severely and lacks a lot of confidence.
Hiroshi’s cooking prioritizes the customers front and foremost. Following his mother’s example, Hiroshi creates dish that have a very comforting effect on whoever eats them. He also enjoys fusing Japanese and Italian cuisine.
Mika Aldini: Takumi’s and Ikumi’s only child, and a fiery one at that. Mika grew up in Tuscany and speaks both Italian and Japanese fluently. She’s a very bold individual who loves the thrill for the challenge and therefore embraces Totsuki’s competitive nature. At the same time, her temerarious charisma has certainly made her one of the 115th’s most known and popular members. Something that not many people know however is that Mika is actually a hopeless romantic. She therefore has no interest in any quick flings and rather awaits true love’s kiss so to speak.
Mika is highly-skilled in the usage of meat in her dishes and also cooks majorly Italian.

Souma let out a sigh of relief, he was resting on one of the benches outside one of the buildings in the never ending campus, he had just finished his last exam for his most difficult class, intro to design. He didn't just have difficulty with it, he actively admitted that he sucked at drawing, and he would've most likely failed the class if Megumi hadn't been so kind as to help him with the final project.
It wasn't that he didn't have the imagination for it, it was just hard for people to interpret his magnificent idea of a giant octopus and a fire breathing dragon fighting over the last sushi roll from the couple of funny looking scribles that he managed to conjure.
Nobody but Megumi had managed to figure it out by her first glance. She had quite an easy time understanding him, he noticed. Megumi ended up offering to help him when the teacher almost failed him on his last assignment. He got a 90 thanks to her.
She was really good at illustrating, she must have done that a lot before she came to Totsuki.
Erina probably draws in cursive. He thought.
Regardless he was glad that classes were finally over, the semester was finished. And so summer vacation would finally drop upon them.
The sun settled right between the two trees that were providing shade for Souma letting an annoying ray of sunshine pass right onto his face, he squinted. It was hot. Perhaps he should go buy something at the cafeteria.
Grabbing his bag from the bench, he went on his way, counting the change from his pockets.
"Two Yellies please." He smiled politely. Handing the cashier the previously counted coins. What he got consisted of a small bag of orange juice that had been frozen. He snipped off one corner and began munchin on the frozen treat while storing the other in his bag.
That hits nicely. The cool treat was a favorite of his, while he was throwing the piece of plastic away a hand landed on his shoulder.
"Yo." Takumi greeted.
"Washup." He managed from the Yellie that hung from his mouth. Souma noticed the suitcase that Takumi was holding.
"Shu goin shomewher?" He asked.
"Oh yeah, Isami and I are heading back to Italy for the summer." He replied. "How about you? Any plans?"
Souma grabbed the Yellie from his mouth. "Nothing much, thought I'd head back to Sumire, see what's up."
A ding sounded on Takumi's phone. "Well I gotta head out now, the car is here."
"Sure, have a good flight, don't slack off in Italy alright?" Souma replied.
"I should be saying the same to you." He grinned. "See ya."
Souma waved him goodbye, but before Takumi left he turned and called out. "Hey Souma, if you're looking for something to do this summer you should come to my Villa, my grandpa's always looking for extra hands I'm sure he could use your help. Oh, and you can bring Megumi too!" He waved and left the cafeteria.
Italy huh? He thought. That could be interesting.
He grabbed his bag and his Yellie and headed off to the dorm.

okay but real talk ... this dynamic could go really well, or it could go really bad. really well because nate also can enjoy a good anime or manga and probably spends who knows how long online playing a variety of games, so it’s possible that takumi and him bond over these things, particularly gaming which — now that i think about it, might also make it possible for them to just hate each other too since depending on the game, i imagine things can get really intense, and i already know nate is a shit talker on voice chat alkjsdlkas he’s so childish.
i say that this dynamic can go really bad because, well, nate, figuratively speaking, is the person who hurt umeko. nate did to alison what satou did to umeko, and i’m unsure whether takumi ever finds out about what happened to umeko ( it sounds like he purposefully avoids finding out ? ) but if he ever did find out about what happened to umeko, and on top of that, found out about what happened to alison ( because she’s friends with umeko ), and then finds out how nate was involved with alison — well, shit, all hell is gonna break loose. this would have to be like, a super intricate plot though so it’s probably not the most plausible dynamic between nate and takumi but damn could you imagine how much of a dumpster fire that’d be ????
anyway, i also think takumi might hate nate’s guts because nate is garbage and a bully and takumi hates bullies so they’d be butting heads all the damn time alksjdlsa takumi seems like he has a temper or at the very least he’s very headstrong and has an attitude and seeing as how nate also has an attitude, things would probably not be so friendly between them ahahaha
Emile & Simonne
music !!!! buddies !!!! simonne plays bass which isn’t exactly like the classic music emile trained in, but that doesn’t have to stop them from practicing together! he plays the violin and is known to play out in the open at parks since he really enjoys being outside, so playing in a quiet space really helps to ground him. it’s one of his favorite ways to wind down, and it’d be a lot of fun for him to have someone join him !!! it’s always refreshing for him to meet other people who are into music, so this would be a really cute way for them to bond and meet. i also saw that simonne liked fresh baked bread and yeah emile can do that for her too, he makes a nice sourdough
Cedric & Jun
oh this one might be funny ahahaha, i headcanon that cedric grew up with a persian cat who adored his mother but hated him, so ever since, he doesn’t really like cats. he doesn’t hate them, but he’s always suspicious of them it’s kind of funny because cedric’s attitude could be considered cat-like, so it’s rather ironic he doesn’t like cats alsjdlksa in anyway case, the idea of jun following cedric around and remind cedric of the cat in his childhood is kind of funny. but also, the fact that jun is a spirit only makes things more interesting because cedric doesn’t usually react well to supernatural because he’s a stick in the mud and isn’t welcoming to weird shit that happens in the roleplay world :/// but jun making a ghostly appearances at the hotel/shrine seems like a way they could meet actually 🤔
Aito & Marissa
okay but i think aito would have so much fun with marissa. there’s something about the fact she could just accidentally set a building on fire that resonates with him because he too, could accidentally set a whole building on fire. not because he has magic powers, but because he’s a dumbass who can be accident prone at the worst of times oh my god. but still, i think they’d get along really well, especially because aito would think marissa’s powers would be super duper cool and he’d want to ask her a lot of questions and get to know her. maybe she could teach him how to make jewelry — aito loves using his hands to make things, after all!
Alison & Umeko
🥺 🥺 🥺 these two ,,, we know the potential between these two already. the fact they both have endured something so heartbreaking and fucked up really brings them together, and i’m actually glad they have the potential to grow and heal together. i’m really excited to see how this dynamic blossoms with more interactions. i know alison might end up taking a motherly role too over umeko just because she naturally acts very maternal around those she grows to care about, so there’s a lot of potential for very sweet interactions! since we’ve plotted a bit about these two already, i threw in a bonus connection so that you’d have five new connections :)
Grace & Hazel
first of all, hazel is cute as fuck what the fuck — i know this is about grace and hazel, but i kind of want hazel and leah to meet too LMAO i feel like those two would click really well on so many levels. anyway, as for grace, i also think hazel and her would get along! grace has a hard time making friends usually because she seems to come off as a little cold and uninterested in making friends ( which isn’t true; she just isn’t all that interested in making friends at her school ), so hazel being super friendly and social would make it possible to draw grace in. but also — this whole mystery around hazel would be something interesting for us to play around with. grace is very smart and could easily pick up on clues if you sprinkled any in a thread, so it’d be a fun, extended thing to try and have grace figure out what happened to hazel. from what i understand, hazel doesn’t really know either, so this could be like their mission to figure out what the heck is going on.

1) a personality trait that most people wouldn’t know about you (if you feel comfortable with sharing of course!)?
I’m kinda self-defeating. I tend to think of the worst about what I do as default and have to ease eventually to the idea what I did turned out at least ok afterwards. It’s still a mindset I’m learning to work on, though it trickles in from time to time.
2) what are you most passionate about?
Creating.
|’Dc Broad answer, I know, but more specifically, I love a lot of creative hobbies, and it’s hard to narrow it down to any specific one since I love them in different moods and different reasons. Things like writing, drawing(/spriting), textile things like sewing or crocheting or origami... It’s easier to say I like the core theme of knowing you made something, and it exists because of you, and “you did this” kind of feeling.
3) what is your favorite flavor profile? (sweet, spicy, sour, umami, bitter, etc)
Sweet! Depending on the food and my mood, I also like sour and spicy things, but I tend to gravitate more to sweetness with less fussiness of how so.
4) favorite series/franchise (from any medium) and favorite character within that series/franchise?
Oh gerd, there’s a bit, but in a vague attempt to narrow it down that let’s face it, I know I’ll fail, UUUH...
Fire Emblem (particularly Fates and Heroes) - I love both of them for just how easy it is to generate ideas for. It’s funny because I realize it’s admittedly taking a lot of things that frustrate or disappoint or leave me hanging with either games that I end up liking the two most by virtue for how many ideas it paves way for in terms of headcanons or fanworks or the like. I do like things on their own merits as well, but I think the “I wish things could’ve been better/elaborated on, and therefore I will create things based on that!” side to it was what made me appreciate them more (probably not exactly for the best reasons, but! It’s a thing.) In terms of favorite characters, there’s a ton inside and out of just these two games, but I’ll give the honorable mention to Summer Takumi specifically, because the paralogue he (among others) was released in came at a critical point in my personal life that had some effects on me that, tl;dr, led to me commiting to making this blog, and making more art in public, and eventually writing fanfics in public too.
Pokemon - Was basically my childhood and went a long way into starting the first spark of a lot of the kind of hobbies I end up growing up and obsessing over/enjoying. Things like giving me a massive interest in coding and programming along with glitches and unused beta elements, or how it’s where I got my start in art back when I was little and trying to figure out how to do pokemon fusion sprite edits. I’d probably say my favorite character is a tie between Missingno and Celebi (in case the former doesn’t really count), the former for just how varied it is and being the main part of why I love how game coding works while being a gateway to beta content interests, and the latter for sentimental reasons spanning all throughout the entire time I followed the fandom game-wise.
Animal Crossing - It got me through ups and downs, it made up a chunk of nostalgia since the first game up to New Leaf (no switch, so now New Horizons, oh wellz), and I had a lot of memories both fond and low-key terrifying otherwise all throughout. I got a lot of favorites among villagers and NPCs otherwise, but if I had to narrow it down to one each:
I love Whitney for being the only snooty-type villager back when I played Wild World who was surprisingly kind to me (and I’m sad I no longer have the original cart and imagine she long since moved out anyways probably), and so she gave me an experience pretty similar to Ai’s own experience with Whitney in the movie.
NPC-wise, I’m going to go with Sable (it was a really tough choice!) for the fact that in every game, she was among the first instances you can get to know a villager so closely that she was willing to explain to you more and more of her character. Usually in many of the games, once her arch is finished, she no longer elaborates on her life and goes right back to talking generally, but if it wasn’t enough that it was among the first times you see how her demeanor changes from ignoring or staying quiet with you, to going out of her way to find things to chat with you, it was also the memories she explained once you start befriending her.
5) how have your closest family members and/or friend(s) impacted your life?
I consider friends more as family than my actual family (to put it vaguely and/or kindly, my actual family did few to no favors for me). My closest friends have picked me up when I fell (multiple, multiple times), and they were much of why I’m still here, doing what I can. I owe the world to them...
6) if you could be anything (any job, other person, type of animal or beast, literally anything aside from what you are now) what would it be?
A multi-billionaire Maybe someone who shapeshifts. The possibilities with that are endless.
7) favorite beverage?
Coffee. There’s quite a lot of drinks I really love, but coffee is the most easily accessible for me.
8) i know this is a generic one but favorite subject/class you’ve taken?
Arts & Crafts and Computers, give or take. Pity they’re usually the least important for grades and also the shortest class semesters of the year.
9) early bird or night owl?
I’m heavily inclined to be a night owl, which is unfortunate, because I’m in a place constantly forcing me to be an early bird.
10) favorite meme?
I’m completely in love with memes of cat pictures where cats have expressions that are beyond words, yet represents big moods all the same. If I had to narrow it to one specific meme, however...
My heart will always be with Anfisa. Aka Angry Cat No Banana.

Aija and Hikaru: Aija fell in love quite quickly with Hikaru after spending a sizzling week with him having sex in the office. It wasn’t the sex per se that made her fall in love, but she got to learn more about his personality as well as being able to touch him all over and be close to him. For Hikaru it wasn’t until way later in his relationship with Aija; being as he had always known a playboy life. When he realized that he knew his happiness was with Aija he knew he loved her.
Honorée and Cowen: These two fell for each other in the beginning after Honor’s house fire when Cowen would come to visit her in the hospital. Seeing Cowen’s determination to make her happy, made Honor feel admiration for him but it wasn’t true love until she moved in with him and he began to peel away his layers for her. Cowen had fallen in love first but when Honor had to leave, he had to focus on matters in his present, putting her in the back of his mind but not in his heart.
Briseis and Takumi: Briseis fell in love with Takumi after he dedicated a song that he made to her at one of his live performances. Takumi fell in love with her when he found out that she had been drawing him in her house from her window. He found it by accident and realized that she had been watching him just as much as he had her.
Seren and Graven: I think just like Honor and Cowen, these two fell in love around the same time. In a dystopian/post apocolyptic setting like theirs, true love is hard to come by but they both recognized their pros and cons about the two of them and accepted them. Once they consummated their love during a sunrise it was solidified.
Tarana and Sol: One word- Soulmates. There was always some kind of bond keeping Tara and Sol close to one another and being the reincarnations of the creator dragons who were also bonded as mates was a big reason why. But Sol feel in love with Tara as a person when he watched her do her first moon dance and Tara fell in love with Sol when he protected her from the Ice dragon, Tulvir.
Amila and Cassian: This is one that I’m still trying to figure out but I feel like Cassian would be falling in love with Amila first after being in such a lonely way of life for so long. When Amila feels like Cassian is more of her family than her own, she begins to relax as a person and show him her true caring side. Knowing that she can do that around him, makes her fall in love with him.
And for honorable mention:
Phoenix and Chaison: Chaison loved Phoenix from the moment he set eyes on her at her ranch. He had fallen super hard and worked even harder to make her feel the same for him by treating her with care and respect. He was patient and it paid off. Phoenix fell in love with Chaison when she realized how much he admired her late parents who had saved him.
Anouhea and Valentino: These two fell in love in high school and were high school sweethearts, however, they didn’t last and separated from a tragic ordeal. When they reunited years later, they found out that they had just as much love for each other.

Leokumi Week Day Six (Story Three) - Flowers
The characters in the novels Leo read always seemed to talk about that ‘one fateful morning,’ where they woke up one day and suddenly everything in their life was different.
Leo used to think that was bullshit.
Until, one fateful morning, he woke up with... a sore throat.
Groundbreaking.
Leo was frustrated, of course - surely he wasn’t getting a cold in the middle of a war, of all times? But he didn’t consider it to be anything major. After all, what harm could a sore throat do? It was nothing more than an inconvenience, one easily remedied with a warm drink and some honey. Or at least, it should have been. Unfortunately for Leo, after a week his throat hadn’t gotten any better - but it hadn’t gotten any worse either, which he guessed wasn’t a bad sign.
Soon, however, he began to notice the strangest thing - his throat would become worse any time he was around Takumi. At first he thought it was just a strange coincidence - how on earth could being around someone affect the severity of his cold? It was just nonsense. But every time he spent time in Takumi’s company - hell, every time he thought about Takumi, and he thought about him much more often than he was willing to admit - the pain in his throat would flare up, and sometimes even send him into a coughing fit.
Leo knew it was strange, but still didn’t pay it much mind - after all, the cold should pass soon, and then he wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore. Besides, it wasn’t as if the pain was going to prevent him from spending time with Takumi. Getting to see him, relax with him, play shogi with him, read with him, train with him- Leo was compelled to spend every spare moment of his time with Takumi. Those moments Leo spent with Takumi were precious to him, the only times he felt as if he could truly relax and be himself. He would spend his life with Takumi, if he could.
... okay, Leo could admit to himself that maybe he had a little bit of a crush on Takumi. A big crush on Takumi. But it’s not as if he could do anything about it - he had known from a young age that as a prince of Nohr, marriage to anyone but a noblewoman would be unacceptable, and so had resigned himself to his future of raising children with a spouse chosen for him and not by him, whom he could not ever love in the way she would want him to. And even if he were free to choose his own partner, Leo was absolutely certain that Takumi didn’t like him in that way. So he forced himself to be content in the friendship that he and Takumi shared, for even though he was not completely content when he was being honest with himself, it wasn’t as if he was willing to jeopardise their relationship for his own selfish desires.
Everything really did change, however, about two weeks after Leo’s cold first appeared. He had been reading in the library, as usual, and had happened to glance out one of the windows he was sitting near. This particular window overlooked the training grounds, and he could see from where he was sitting that Takumi was out there, sparring with Hinata. A pang of longing flared up in Leo’s chest, as did the pain in his throat, until he was coughing, doubled over and hacking into his hand, eyes watering and chest stinging. He could feel something in his throat and he gagged on it, coughing and coughing to dislodge it until the sensation abruptly stopped. Chest heaving, Leo sat back to catch his breath and looked down at his hand, curious to see what it was he had coughed up, only to feel the air leave his lungs once more - in his hand sat a smattering of yellow petals.
“Daffodil petals?” Leo murmured, stunned. Perhaps this wasn’t a normal cold after all.

Elise was absolutely no help. A cough she could treat, no problem. But coughing up flowers? When Leo had first gone to her for advice, Elise had almost kicked him out of the medical tent, thinking he was lying to her. Leo had eventually managed to convince her that he was telling the truth by having an unfortunately timed coughing fit in the middle of the tent. Elise had panicked, having never heard of a disease like this before, and had quickly sent him to Azura. Many of the soldiers in their army had contracted strange diseases native to Valla, and Azura’s ability to identify them and suggest treatments to the healers, as well as keep up the spirits of those affected by illness, had proved itself invaluable time and time again.
Unfortunately, Azura had nothing hopeful to say about Leo’s disease.
“It’s called Hanahaki,” Azura had told him gently, “and it’s extremely rare. It’s also extremely dangerous.”
“How do I cure it?” Leo had replied, face grim.
Azura had taken a deep breath then, and looked Leo straight in the eyes, her mouth pulled down at the corners. “You have to profess your love and have it returned.” She said. “Or you will die.”

So, he had flowers growing in his lungs. How many times had he heard that expression used in books and poetry, writers waxing lyrical about vines constricting their vocal cords and greenery filling their airways? He thought of the book of poetry Camilla had lent him just the other day, and how she had rifled through the pages to show him one of her favourites;
You made flowers grow in my lungs/
And although they are beautiful/
I can’t breathe.
How ironic, that he would be killed by the very things he controlled. He had thought of using Brynhildr to manipulate the flowers and force them out of his body, but was held back by the possibility that doing so would tear his lungs and give him an even earlier death. It had been almost two weeks since he had spoken to Azura, since she had told him that the only cure - and his only chance at survival - was to have his love returned. But even though this was a matter of life and death, Leo still couldn’t bring himself to tell Takumi how he felt. He couldn’t bear to even imagine his inevitable rejection, or the disgust Takumi would hold in his eyes when he found out - disgust at him, at his feelings that he had tried so hard to keep covered but still kept forcing their way out of him in the form of kind words, small favours, and yellow petals. Leo was also firm in his decision to never tell Takumi of his Hanahaki - he knew Takumi would force himself into a relationship with Leo just to try and save his life, but Leo couldn’t accept a relationship like that; he had no desire to force Takumi into anything. Leo sighed and buried his head in his hands, groaning at how hopeless he felt. How helpless.
He can’t tell Takumi about his feelings, or his Hanahaki, but he knew that one way or another Takumi’s feelings would still determine his fate.

Leo was, apparently, a terrible actor when it came to hiding physical illnesses. After almost a month of coughing up flower petals - and now whole, bloodstained daffodils, which Azura had confirmed (between pleading with him to “just talk to whoever you’re in love with!”) meant that the disease was getting close to its final stage - Takumi cornered Leo in a secluded area by the mess hall.
“You’ve been avoiding me,” Takumi said, hands on his hips. “Mind explaining why?”
Oh gods. It was true Leo had been avoiding Takumi more and more as his coughing fits had become much more violent and frequent. For all his talk of persevering through the pain, he had still inevitably wound up avoiding his friend - Leo just couldn’t bear to have Takumi know about his illness, or what it meant. He was absolutely not ready to have this conversation with Takumi, not right now.
“Ah, my apologies, Takumi. It was not my intention to avoid you - I’ve been feeling unwell lately, is all.” Leo could feel a scratching in his throat, vines constricting his lungs, but he had to hold them back. He couldn’t cough. Not now. Not when Takumi was right there. It’s okay, Leo thought, just act normal for now and hold out until he’s gone, it will be fine.
It wasn’t fine.
Leo’s hands flew to his mouth as a violent cough forced itself from his body, collapsing to his knees as they came again, and again, and again. He was vaguely aware of Takumi, now beside him, rubbing his hand along Leo’s back and asking if he was okay. Leo tried to draw in enough air to reply but instead coughed again, gagging at the feeling of flowers in his throat, choking him and tearing at his airways as they forced themselves up.
The coughing fit stoppedy as quickly as it had started, and Leo sat heaving, trying to get his breath back. Takumi was still beside him, and Leo’s mind was running a mile a minute in an effort to concoct a way to keep the flowers he had just coughed up hidden from Takumi.
“Leo,” Takumi gasped, eyes widening at the sight of blood slipping between his fingers. “Is that blood? Oh gods, we need to get you to a healer right away-“
“It’s okay,” Leo sighed, defeated. “Elise and Azura already know. There’s nothing they can do for me, going to them now would only cause them unnecessary worry.” He drew his hands from his mouth but kept his fists clenched, praying to whoever would listen that Takumi would be too preoccupied to notice the flowers.
Luckily for Leo, he was. “Unnecessary worry?” Takumi almost shouted, “you’re coughing up blood, Leo, it’s not unnecessary! You have to take care of yourself!” Takumi was working himself up, face flushed in anger and voice strained with disbelief that Leo would care so little about his wellbeing.
“I told you, I’ve already seen someone,” Leo replied, voice clipped. “There isn’t a cure for this.”
“Like hell there isn’t!” Takumi growled, eyes narrowed. “We’re going to a healer right now, I’ll find a cure myself if I have to.”
“I told you, forget it!” Leo said. “Why are you bothering to worry about me, anyway?” He snapped, turning away from Takumi.
“Why am I bothering-“ Takumi spluttered. “Of course I’m worried about you, you idiot! I love you!”
Leo’s whole body froze, and he was sure that if he wasn’t already sitting on the ground he would have fallen over. He turned back to face Takumi slowly, heart hammering in his chest, taking notice of the other boy’s red face and wide eyes.
For the first time in weeks, Leo felt like he could breathe easily.
“Uh,” Takumi was now so red Leo was a little concerned he might pass out. “I. I didn’t mean to just blurt that out, oh gods I’m so sorry, just- just forget I said that, please.” Takumi had one hand over his mouth, eyes firmly looking over Leo’s shoulder.
“I’m not going to forget you said that, Takumi,” Leo said, swallowing his fear (and quite possibly a flower petal or two) as hope bloomed in his chest. “I’m not going to forget, because I love you too.”
Takumi’s eyes snapped back to Leo’s face. “You do?”
“Yes,” Leo smiled. “That’s what I said.”
“I’m glad then,” Takumi smiled back at Leo, breathing out a sigh of relief. “Nothing could make me happier than hearing you say that. But, maybe we could talk about this later? Preferably after you’ve been to see a healer?”
“Actually,” Leo laughed, “I think you just cured me.”

“A disease that caused flowers to grow in your lungs because you thought I didn’t love you? Okay, you’ve got to be pulling my leg here Leo.”
“I’m not! I’ve been coughing up daffodils for a month and this is how you treat me, your very own boyfriend. I’m insulted.” Leo had reluctantly decided, after about two days of Takumi pestering him about his health, to just come clean about the whole thing. Now that he and Takumi were officially courting (well, they were the only ones who actually knew about it. They had decided that whatever scandal their relationship would inevitably cause could wait until after the war), Leo reasoned that there was no need for him to keep it a secret. As embarrassing as it was, Takumi had a right to know.
“Okay, but why daffodils? They’re literally the most inappropriate flower for this disease.”
Leo raised one of his eyebrows. “How so? They do represent unrequited love, so I thought they were rather fitting.”
“They do?” Takumi shouted. “In Hoshido, they represent joy.” Takumi paused for a moment, considering. “Remind me to tell my siblings to never get you daffodils as a gift.”
Leo laughed, “that would truly be an unfortunate present.” He smiled across the table at Takumi. “So, do you believe me?”
Takumi nodded. “Yeah, I do. As unbelievable as it is, I don’t see what reason you would have to lie about it. And it does make sense, in a weird way. It explains you avoiding me, at least.” Takumi stretched and stood up, walking around to Leo’s side of the table and holding his arms out to him. “Now come over here and kiss me, I don’t want to think about you almost dying anymore.”
Leo laughed, and did just that.

A question about "Complete Turnabout"

Hello Nenilein,
I’d been reading “Complete Turnabout” recently and noticed that there haven’t been any updates for a long time. I’ve also played through the beginning of the game. I’ve been getting into writing fanfiction recently and I just wanted to ask if you’re ever returning to writing Ace Attorney Fanfiction. Did Spirit of Justice just completely drive you out of the fandom and the fanfiction? Or are you just done with that part of your writing?
Hello, sorry for the late reply. So, let’s get into this.
I’m a super flighty nature. It often causes me to start projects and then jump to the next, not taking into account how the new project might divert my attention away from the old projects, especially because I find it hard to even force myself to keep my attention on the old project if I have new ideas. It’s a problem I’ve honestly been working to overcome, especially because I never really abandon old projects. I mean it, I still have every single tiny, useless thing I’ve ever started working on in my Dropbox and occasionally randomly pull them up and make new additions to them or edit them, even if the thing has been dormant for years. Complete Turnabout is no exception there,
The big problem with getting back into actively finishing the Fanfic is... Well, there’s several, actually. And yeah, Even though I still actively think about the fic a lot (like with a million other things), it makes it hard to go back. Here they are, most important to least important:
1.) Complete Turnabout no longer matches my current style of writing and doesn’t reflect my skill level.
The Fic represented a huge turning point (ha ha) for me in my “career” (using the term losely) as an author, since this was where, influenced by an important person in my life, I threw out everything I thought about writing before and gradually came to use a completely different style of writing, one which I’ve kept developing to this day. CT reflects a huge part of this transitional phase in my writing. The thing is, I haven’t stopped progressing as a writer ever since I last actively wrote on it. There’s so many things I’ve started and stopped doing, so many techniques I’ve learned and a lot of humor I found funny back in the day now only makes me cringe. It’s not like I find all of CT entirely unreadable now. But the first 10 to 15 chapters are garbage. Unadulterated and absolute trash. You couldn’t force me to write like this anymore these days. So if I wanted to go back to finishing it, I’d feel myself compelled to rewrite half the fanfic from scratch, which would be a massive undertaking and would clash with my already almost non-existence time management abilities.
2.) The in-fic Court Record is fundamentally broken.
To me, a huge part of the fic was the reader’s ability to guess along while reading and feel as if they could actually move around through the settings and throw evidence at places and people like in the series proper. Unfortunately, my inability to update the CR properly has turned this into a mess I was deeply ashamed off at latest by chapter 25. If I wanted to go back and continue the fic I would HAVE to rework this feature of the fic from ground up, maybe even program a little web-page to make it work for everyone or something. I want to do that one day, but right now I am a creative garage stuffed to the brim with unfinished arts and crafts projects and I need to take some time to clean myself out and finally get things in order.
3.) OMFG Spirit of Justice
Yeah, as you correctly guessed, that game was like... the straw that didn’t just break the camel’s back but put the camel into a coma that only the most advanced veterinarian science could possibly retrieve it from. It wouldn’t be so bad if I just didn’t like the game, I mean, there’s a ton of stuff I don’t like in Gyakuten Kenji 2, and I still use its characters and concepts quite prominently and passionately. No, the problem is what Spirit of Justice did to friggin’ Apollo! That friggin’ game messed up his character timeline and underlying motivations so badly, I have no idea how to write around this bullshit stuff anymore. I have no idea what the writers were thinking there, all I know is that this is DEFINITELY not the kind of thing Shu Takumi envisioned when he wrote Apollo’s character. The character was envisioned to be young, passionate, but down-to-earth and an everyman. Spirit of Justice turned him into a fully fledged DanganRonpa character, and not the “Ultimate Luck” type. I have no idea how to work with this!!
4.) I really want to do everything ever, now, immediately, all at once, god, give me 20 arms and 5 more brainssssss
As some people following my antics for some time might have realized I have a teeeeensy problem keeping my priorities straight and tend to start, like, 5 new projects every month. I’m working on a TobyFox-multiverse themed comic right now, wrote a script to an A Hat in Time adaptation comic, I have an ongoing Kingdom Hearts fanfic retelling an alternate universe version of Birth by Sleep, I am working on a Youtube Series about the meaning of the Tarot Arcana as used in the Persona games, I sew 3 Cosplays a year and take part in various nerd competitions, I am working on my final University thesis on the application of religious themes in JRPGs, I have been writing on a novel for 3 years, have started working on several different video game projects with friends (all but one abandoned right now), started and abandoned a web-novel project, I draw, I stream, I play Trading Card Games on Weekends, I am actively looking for a job, and, damn for some dumb reason just a year ago I thought getting myself a pet would be a great idea, too!
If it were up to me, I’d finish all these things. Every last one of them. But as it is, I’m forced to set priorities. Right now, I am working hard to at least bring the most important/recent of these (One of the game projects, my novel, the comic project and my Master’s Thesis) to a satisfying finish. After that, I will pick other ideas back up and work on them. But I really, really, really need to learn to not just start things, but also end them.
It’s been a journey, and it will keep being a journey from here on out. But I’m glad there’s people who love what I do. Making people happy with my creativity is my dream, and I’ll fight to keep making it happen, no matter how much effort it takes.
I thank you for being happy with what I’ve made so far. I thank you with all my heart. Here’s me praying that I will make more things in the future that will make you just as happy. And here’s me praying that I will be disappointing people less by not finishing the things that made them happy in a timely fashion.
