kindness, first and foremost. you must be a kind person, someone willing to help others. he’s met all kinds of personalities, but above all they all come together when help is needed. that goes for a partner. especially because as a kid he was treated so roughly; someone who is nice is the foundation of a perfect partner for him.

“Tsuna, I brought you some food.”

You held up a plate with a couple pastries on it and Tsuna hummed lowly. “Thank you, dear. You didn’t have to.”

“You haven’t taken a break in a few hours now, so of course I did. You can’t focus if you’re hungry.”

You only smiled when Reborn made a low noise, something like amusement. “Perhaps you coddle him too much? What would he do without you?”

“Ehh, I think it’s fine to coddle him a little bit!”

You set the plate down gently on Tsuna’s desk after he made some space for it. “Right? You’ll let me coddle you, won’t you?”

Tsuna pet one of your hands gently before taking it in his and squeezing. “Thank you. If you’d like to, you can. I appreciate it.”

“Yay. If you need anything, just ask.”

“I will, thank you.”

gentle, but confident. once he gets older, and has been with you for a while, there’s no hesitation in his kisses, or any of his actions. after a while, he becomes comfortable and thus does not need to worry about what he does, especially because he learns quickly what you do and don’t like as well

“I found you. Have you eaten yet?”

You turned to smile at Tsuna as he entered the kitchen, one of his arms slipping around your waist comfortably. “No, not yet. Why?”

You tilted your head without any instruction to, like habit, and Tsuna pressed a kiss to your lips with a pleased hum. It was short, and you followed him when he pulled away. His soft laugh could be felt on your lips.

“I wanted to come get you so we could go get lunch together, if that’s okay.”

“Of course it is.”

chai tea; how do they spice up their relationship?

assuming his partner can’t fight, he probably doesn’t take you many places with him when it comes to jobs, missions, etcetera. so I think he would fix this by taking you on specific trips overseas that are unrelated to work; if it’s unrelated there’s less chance people know where you’ll be and he gets to spend more intimate time with you, so it’s a win-win. the best one was obviously taking you to Namimori for the first time

“Ahh, what a cute, quaint town! It’s so nice here.”

Tsuna watched you rock back and forth as you looked out the window of your hotel, taking in the town again after you’d gone exploring earlier in the day.

“I’m a little jealous of you all. What a nice place to be raised in.”

“Mm, I agree. I think it’s a great place to raise a family.” He paused for a moment. “I had fun growing up here.”

You hummed lowly, thinking over his short pause carefully. You straightened, pushing off the windowsill to turn and face him, leaning back against it.

“I bet it was! Haha, thinking of you all running around causing trouble for everyone… Makes me wish I could’ve met you all sooner.”

He smiled widely at this, head tilting. He stepped closer when you waved at him too, crowding you up against the window. You happily grabbed his coat and tugged him down closer, lips ghosting over his.

“I think you would have fit in well with our little group,” he murmured. “But we can make new memories now, so it’s fine, isn’t it?”

“Right. We can start right now, too. Indulge me?”

“Of course.”

Of course, my dear! Thank you so much for the request and I hope you’ll enjoy my thoughts, even though I know they differ quite a bit from yours on some of the characters!

What is the most common source of arguments with the character’s life partner(s)?

Tsuna and Ryohei’s most common source of arguments with their respective partners actually run quite a bit along the same lines. Both of their partners will have issues with accepting the fact that both of these men will hide a lot from their partners. In both cases, these men believe they’re doing the right thing. In their minds, they want to shelter their partners from the harsh realities of mafia life and they don’t want to make their partners worry or hurt. But the fact of it, coming from the side of their partner, is that it will make their partner feel as if these men don’t trust them or see them as weaker and just something to be protected and set aside from the rest of their lives. It’s nearly impossible to keep a relationship alive when one party feels as if the other sees them as less than or if one party feels like the other doesn’t trust and respect them. Tsuna and Ryohei do have their points, but they’ll also need to realize that their lovers have valid points too. They’ll have to put themselves in their lovers shoes and realize how they would feel in that position and there is hope that both men are capable of getting better at communication, but it won’t be a natural or quick thing for them and finding a partner who will stick around and wait for them to improve is going to be a struggle. On top of this issue with Ryohei, I do feel like his partner will also have some issues with just how much he enjoys fighting, with how often he comes home with his body broken, cut up, badly injured.

Gokudera, Yamamoto, and Chrome’s most common fights with their respective partners all come down to the same issue – their partner never gets to feel like they’re the priority. Each of these characters are people who would put other things above their partners. Chrome really will, even as she gets her own life, her own friends, a romantic partner, all of it, put Mukuro and the Kokuyo Gang above anything else in her life. If Mukuro needs her, she is going to him, no discussions needed and nothing her partner will say will change that. She doesn’t see why her partner cannot accept this, especially as they know how precious Mukuro and the Kokuyo Gang are to her. To her, Mukuro is the only reason she had this second life, this chance to actually be with her partner, so how can they sit there and complain about the times when she has to go and help Mukuro? Do they not realize that without him, she would not be there with them in the first place? She’s not a scream and fight kind of person though and most arguments her partner has with her regarding the subject are shut down just by Chrome walking away, telling them she will be back and hoping that they will come to their senses by the time she returns.

Gokudera’s case is obvious. I will always say that, because of how long he spent with nothing and because of how Tsuna took him in, gave him family and friends and a purpose in life, that Tsuna and the Vongola family will always be his priority. If Tsuna needs him, he will go, and it’s not just Tsuna. If any of the family are in trouble and he is close enough to lend a hand, he is going to do so. It might mean that he sometimes has to cancel plans with his partner, it might mean that occasionally he will be gone from them for significant chunks of time. But he always comes back to them, doesn’t he? He does the best he can for them, doesn’t he? And besides, they’d known this about him from the start, he’d never hidden it. It was part of why he'd never really ever wanted a serious romantic relationship, but he couldn’t help falling in love with them, with how they’d snuck past all his walls and barriers. Couldn’t they admire his loyalty to his precious people and realize that he’d protect them with his life as well? Why did it always need to be this big fight? However, the truth is that his partner has valid points as well. It’s a horrible feeling to never get to feel important to the person you love the most. It hurts to be stood up or cancelled at the last minute, it hurts to never get as much quality time as you need and all of that on top of always worrying about Gokudera’s safety, because he does share the Mafia life with them, they do know the dangers. Unfortunately, I really don’t see Gokudera ever being fully willing to do much to compromise on this. He is who he is, he lives how he wants and needs to and his partner will have to find ways to accept him as he is, accept his life and his family, or there’s absolutely no hope of a future together.

Yamamoto has always had ambitions and goals and things he wants to do with his life. He wants to continue to play baseball, and I do think he does achieve his ambition of playing professionally, even just for a while. He has the Vongola and his family there, along with his father, that he wants to protect, cherish, and love. He has his sword and his determination to continue on the flawless, invincible Shigure Soen style. His relationship with his partner is just one of the many, many things going on in his life. It doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love his partner because he most certainly will. He deeply loves his partner, they’re the light of his life and are incredibly important to him. However, there’s other important things in his life and he needs them to understand that because his life will keep him busy. He’ll be on the road with his team and they’ll either need to be willing to uproot their life and travel with him or trust him to be away from them for so long. His family, of all varieties, are equally as important to him as his lover is and he’s going to do his best to make sure everyone’s needs are met, but that also does mean that sometimes he needs to prioritize and that can leave his partner feeling neglected. He hates when it happens but he’s only one man and tensions can run high on both sides. Once the initial flare of anger has faded though, he is someone who is willing to listen and communicate and the one most willing to find compromises.

Lambo’s biggest source of fighting with his partner? Believe it or not, it’s because Lambo grows up into someone who is a major flirt and likes to fancy himself a bit of a ladies man. He would never stoop to out and outright cheating, mind you. To him, such an act of utter betrayal and disloyalty is disgusting, but he does have a bad habit of flirting with both genders, if the person seems into him, flirts and flatters him, or is just really gorgeous. I also think Lambo has a really bad habit of, once he gets comfortable in a romantic relationship, stopping flirting with his lover. In his mind, there’s no reason to compliment them as much, to flirt and be super playful. That kind of stuff is for courtship and to let them learn how magnificent he believes they are and how much he loves them. Once they’re in a committed relationship for a bit, he figures his partner knows that without him having to do much to show it. It just…slips his mind. So, it’s no wonder for his partner to be hurt by him flirting with other people, especially if they’re not getting that kind of attention and it’s easy enough for his partner to get insecure. However, the good thing about Lambo is that, after there’s enough arguments with his partner, he’s really going to be able to accept that he’s probably fucking up somewhere and he’ll honestly be willing to listen to them if they want to tell him what they need. He honestly will need to hear it to realize what’s going on and once his partner lets him know that they need him to show them appreciation and once they let him know they need him to perhaps tell those flirting with him that he’s taken, he’ll try his best to work on it. He won’t ever stop flirting with people, it’s just a part of his nature, but he will try his best to make sure his partner knows he appreciates them, finds them beautiful, and would never jeopardize his relationship with them.

Hibari and Byakuran have the same issue with their partners. That is, obviously, that both men have serious commitment issues that will cause arguments in any relationship they get into. In Hibari’s case, he can’t stand the thought of being tied down to any one person or any one thing. He wants to be able to do what he wants, live how he wants to live, fight who he wants to fight, and go where he wants whenever he wants. He doesn’t want the absolute responsibility for another person. While he could be capable of entering a romantic relationship, it’s going to be a challenge and everything about it will have to be dictated by Hibari’s whims. It’s something he will make clear from the get-go. There will be no marriage, no happily ever after’s with children and happy families. That’s just never going to be something he wants, no matter how much he loves the person. Though fights are sure to arise from this issue, Hibari will shut them down right away or will just plain out walk away from his partner, sometimes for quite some length of time. His attitude, his way of living his life, is absolutely inflexible and he’s not going to consider, even for a moment, changing anything about it for his partner’s sake. Compromises aren’t his style so his partner will have to accept him as he is and be willing to live a life without those ideals of marriage, children, etc. If they can’t, he will make it clear that it’s best for both of them if they walk away from the relationship before either grows more attached.

In Byakuran’s case, he is honestly very changeable as a person. Even after Yuni helps him open up his heart, he’s someone who really does have a problem connecting with humanity. She opened up his heart after all, she didn’t take away his special powers. He’s already lived a million years and life is in some ways very boring for him. He’s a person who lives and acts entirely on his own whims and he can’t settle into one thing for any long period of time unless it’s something entirely new and potentially exciting. In his other lives, he’s done the whole marriage and kids and forever love kind of things. He knows the experience, it’s no longer novel. Because of this, and his own issues with indecision and tendency to wonder if the grass is greener on the other side, he has no desire for big commitments, like getting engaged or married, and there is a huge potential for him requesting an open relationship at some point during his time with his first, and most important partner.

Mukuro’s main source of arguments with his partner are actually two-fold. One is the most obvious potential for arguments, which is Mukuro’s habit of lying or telling only half-truths, obscuring his real goals, feelings, and motivations. The other is that he’s actually a rather poor communicator when it does come to himself. He’s completely emotionally closed off, with big strong walls separating him from people and that’s not something that will change throughout the years. While he definitely is capable of love and affection for others, letting them truly and completely in is something impossible for him. This can make forming true and lasting romantic relationships really difficult. It’s hard to always feel like your partner doesn’t trust you or that they’re keeping a distance from you and it’s understandable for his partner to bring it up every now and then, to try to communicate how it makes them feel to him. However, Mukuro is not someone who takes even mild criticisms well and it will turn into a verbal fight most of the time which results in him telling them to leave. His relationship will be very on-off for that reason unless his partner allows him to get away with everything.

With Xanxus, there is really no common source of arguments with his partner. The fact is that Xanxus has a really horrendous temper, even as he matures. Though the maturing does mean he gets a better grip on his temper, he still has that nasty temper that is always ready to explode, set on a very hair-trigger. The worst of it is that there’s no telling what will set his temper off. There’s the obvious things that his partner should never speak of in front of Xanxus (mentioning his defeat at the hands of Tsuna, suggesting that maybe he make up with Timoteo, criticism of any kind), the problem is that things that won’t upset Xanxus in one situation or on one day will at another time. His temper is unpredictable, even to him, so literally anything can cause fights with his partner and, unless they’re willing to face his wrath (and have excellent dodging skills) or unless they learn how to read his body language and control their own behaviour based on that, Xanxus’ partner is going to have to learn to live walking on eggshells really because he will not change.

Squalo’s most common sense of arguments with his partner is really a very obvious one. Squalo’s line of work and his lifestyle is an unconventional one and it’s one that he completely devotes himself to. His goal is to become the Sword Emperor and to serve Xanxus and nothing will stand in the way of that, even falling in love. His work is dangerous; he will come home injured, sometimes with bones broken, in horrible conditions. He will have to be away from his partner because of work, or even through choice, for considerable lengths of time at points. Much like some of the others mentioned, Squalo lives the way he likes, and he has no plans on changing his job, his hobbies, or how he lives in any way because in his mind, he is living the right way. Everything he does, in his mind, is the right thing and anyone who disagrees with it is in the wrong, which is a hard mindset to argue with. Because of that, arguments with his partner can get bad and in the end, his partner is going to have to learn to cope with his work with the Varia, with his ambitions as the Sword Emperor dragging him around the world, and with his devotion to Xanxus. None of these things will mean that Squalo won’t love his partner, but if they cannot handle living with those things, then the relationship is doomed.

Levi, Bluebell, and Daisy all have very similar topics and issues as the most common source of arguments with their respective partners. Levi has extreme jealousy issues and will be a very possessive partner. He struggles quite badly with his own insecurities, some of which are rather extremely felt. Because of this and because of the amazing (and often good-looking) men he’s around, he’s always scared that his partner is going to wake up and realize they can do better, and that insecurity will lead him to being jealous of any other person that his partner gets close to. What if they take his partner away? That fear and insecurity also drives him to want to keep his partner with him. In his mind, he’s as good as out of sight, out of mind to people and he’s scared that, between other people and not always having a lot of time with his partner, that they will forget about him or replace him. So, Levi can pick fights, accuse his partner of cheating or of caring about any other person in their life more than they care about him. He’ll pick arguments when he’s feeling insecure about everything, and he will try to separate his partner from friends that he feels they like more than him or that are too good-looking. He wants his partner’s life to almost revolve around him, because other than his work and his boss, Levi’s entire life will revolve around his partner. It is abusive, it is unhealthy, but he just can’t seem to stop himself.

Bluebell also gets extremely jealous. She wants to be the center of attention for her partner. They should be looking at her, complimenting her, playing with her, spending their time with her. She doesn’t want them to like anyone more than they like her and because of this, she will pick fights with not only her partner, but any of her partners friends that they bring around her. She’ll get really rude at those times – the only exception to this is her partner’s direct family members, who she will respect as she believes family is a very important thing. It won’t matter how many times her partner brings up that this is too much, that her rudeness is unfair and embarrasses them or that her partner can’t take it. Bluebell won’t change her actions and she honestly does assume that they’ll never leave her no matter what she does, because the two of them are in love.

Daisy, meanwhile, when they fall in love, is someone who wants to ‘own’ their lover. They want their lover to be theirs in entirety. Daisy’s lovers life will have to grow to be entirely based around their relationship with Daisy, around Daisy themselves. To Daisy, they do love their partner, but they feel entitled to their partner in all ways and might at times view their partner as a toy. Because of this entitlement, arguments with Daisy will really get their partner nowhere. They will either be used as a toy or they will have to try to leave Daisy, which comes with its own unique set of problems and troubles because if Daisy’s partner thought Daisy was possessive during their relationship, that’s nothing compared to a dumped Daisy.

Lussuria is someone who really is never fully satisfied. He has a problem with, even if he’s in love with one person, always wondering if the grass is greener on the other side. A true romanticist in his own way, Lussuria dreams of the perfect partner and the moment one of his relationships starts to show imperfections, he can get too focused on those and start wondering if there’s something better out there. He might even be easily tempted to cheat, even just emotionally or through paying male escorts. This can obviously affect his partner’s self-esteem, their trust in him, and their whole relationship and there will be numerous fights about it. Unless his partner leaves Lussuria or stays but opens up the relationship, this will be a continuing fight as no one person will ever be able to live up to Lussuria’s dream partner.

Both Belphegor and Zakuro have the same issue that causes the most arguments with their respective partners. Similar to Xanxus, both of these men have extreme tempers and serious anger issues. Belphegor’s temper is not only unpredictable and nasty, but it’s very violent and that extends to when he loses his temper with his partner. He throws temper tantrums, and he really doesn’t think anything of physically hurting, even attempting to murder, his partner when he loses his temper. This is obviously not going to sit right with his partner, but there’s really no talking to Belphegor and, if his partner tries to leave him before he is done with them, Belphegor will seriously make every effort to kill them in as brutal a way as he can. There is no fix for this issue and it’s something that just comes with a relationship with Belphegor. Honestly though, his partner should have seen the hints of how unhinged this man is before they decided to get together with him. Zakuro’s temper isn’t that bad. It’s more that he just gets angry really easy. He won’t physically hurt his partner, but he’s going to be violent and intimidating. There will be at least one hole in the drywall of their apartment from where he put his fist through a wall when he was angry. He really probably doesn’t even mean to scare his partner as much as he does; it’s just that Zakuro gets all consumed in his anger and can’t think at all. He’ll always apologize for his anger afterwards, promise he’ll do better next time, but the next time comes and it’s the same thing again. I think the only thing that would seriously make him attempt to change, to seek help with his anger issues, was if his partner were to leave him over it.

Both Irie and Spanner have bad habits of getting much too into their work and their passion projects. They will forget even the basics of sleeping and eating when they get in the zone, until those urges become undeniable. So, it’s really little wonder that they completely forget about their partner as well. They will forget dates or plans, standing up their partner because they don’t even think to message them to properly cancel. They will forget special occasions. They just won’t be around for their partner to support them. It’s no wonder, and very understandable, for their partners to sometimes get upset about this, especially if it continues on for weeks, as it sometimes can. Both men would feel absolutely horrible about making their partner feel bad and they will honestly try to apologize and do better, but they keep repeating the same patterns over and over because how into their work and their passions both men get are just huge parts of who they are as people.

Kikyo has the most boring source of arguments with his partner, the most mundane. The truth of the matter is that the thing he’ll fight with his partner the most about is finances and financial stressors. Kikyo, despite his extravagant appearance, is actually really financially smart. He’s a saver, not a spender, and he’s careful with his money. Part of it is really needing the security of knowing his bills will all be paid, that he and his partner will have the money needed to survive and thrive. If his partner has a habit of spending money on things, even if they can afford them, that Kikyo considers unnecessary, it will definitely spark arguments. Honestly, the two of them need to find a nice compromise between the two, and there’s definitely the potential for both of them to get there, but it will be after plenty of arguments around the subject, as Kikyo is proud and does believe that he is right in everything.

Headcanons I think about a lot cause I wanna see women thrive

Haru

-Part-time Lightning Guardian

Okay, do you're gonna tell me Haru finds out about the mafia and how serious it is and shes just gonna let Lambo fight out there? Naw naw not my girl

Haru: "No you can't let Lambo fight out there! Hes just five! Give me that stupid ring. He shouldn't have something so dangerous Tsuna!"

Reborn: "If you're so worried about him then go out there with him."

Haru: "Eek!"

This is how Haru just starts training to be a "Part-Time Guardian" she doesn't hold the ring or the box but she has her sort of Lighting type box weapon. Which I think would be a spear or like some gauntlets but thats honestly for no reason but cause I like it. But I think something with way more agility would help her out. Cause girl took gymnastics and shes gonna use that to her advantage. Shes gonna be much bendier than those stiff-ass boys that I swear wouldn't stretch if Haru didnt make them.

She would name all of her attacks after herself let's be honest.

"Lambo now! HARU HARU BULL RIDE"

Which is just another amazing idea I had where she would have combo attacks with Lambo if they were to fight together. She would go in close combat maybe then Lambo would come in with Gyudon to wreck some shit. All while Haru hops on the back and surfs on the Bull.

I would just love to see her in combat too

-Cloud and Lightning

Okay, I think it would be neat if she had two flame types! Why? Cause the team that gave her flames was inconsistent and so now shes super cool and badass

- Mafia Life

Haru would give up the position of Lightning when Lambo is old enough, but she would still be part of the mafia and try to help Tsuna.

I wanna say she goes "missing" but she goes on missions as a spy since shes got way better at costume making and disguises. Which make her go unnoticed even without mist flames. She does end up ending her career early to help her family and keep them safe as a regular civilian.

Kyoko

Unfortunately, I dont see her in a combat role like Haru. But I do see her as battle support!

Now this is where she shines, unlike Ryohei who learns by doing. She can learn from watching, which after watching her brother do boxing and maybe some other martial arts. She can understand footing to get the best results and strategies for individual battles.

She's learned things from observation!

At first, people dont think much of it since Kyoko honestly is a bit strange in a very nice and not at all off-putting way. But she wants to just help more with combat like Haru.

Also note when i write tjese im writing from where im watching in the anime which is after the girls find out about the whole mafia thing. Also the first choice battles.

Kyoko omly knows so much self defense that it isnt much to go out there and fight and train. But soon hears word of a man named Squalo whose the Varia Battle Strategist which gives her a good chance to at least get started on her self training and learning.

She seeks him out and gets caught immediately, to which Squalo just kinda gives up and gives her some advice.hes already dealing with Yamamoto so whatever.

"You need to close off your weaknesses while highlighting your comrades strengths. You must be fast with your eyes, give commands like you mean it. Like your life depends on the right choices you make. Never second guess yourself."

Then gives her a hint to go to the bunker Library for some books. Which honestly fair enough. She goes in looking for something useful, only to find books with her name as the author. Battle Strategy books and theres a lot of them.

This is the future so shes listening to the audiobooks while doing housework cause we love a girl that can do it all.

So now thats my role for Kyoko

[ companion drabble to this from @queenharumiura. we have plenty of dev in here i don't think i've ever referenced, so don't worry about if something is confusing. ]

It's hard to stop listening when two people are talking about him, especially when it's partly behind his back like this. Being seen and monitored is one thing, but hearing directly what others think about him is… more than a little different. It's unnerving in a way being monitored never has been.

Listening in on all of Haru's inner thoughts like this seems wrong. Is this conversation something he should be hearing? Isn't Kyoko-chan Haru's best friend? Isn't girls' talk confidential?

But Kyoko-chan seems to be doing this intentionally -- she knows Byakuran is right there. They even made eye contact as he walked in the store, but she's still asking Haru such invasive questions. It's a lot to digest, and he'd rather be digesting his two extra-large castella cakes, but he doesn't have a choice.

( “I was thinking about it—So what did Hibari-san tell you about the Bermuda incident, anyways? Did he go into details about it?” ) “Hm?” “Let’s see… the conversation came up because he said he found out because of his birds, so it was only a matter of time before the others find out and come to talk to me about it. I asked how he thought Tsuna-san would take it, and he answered by saying that he trusts Byakuran-san enough if he personally requested his assistance for the Bermuda situation.”

So it's Hibari-kun's monitoring that Haru-chan heard… all this time, he's assumed CEDEF was the only group. Has the Vongola Tenth been watching so intently as well? He already wishes he wasn't here, but he has to stay now that he heard it at all.

“He said that people could’ve died if they were any unluckier. He singled Byakuran-san out and said he was gravely injured, requiring emergency illusionary organs to keep him alive.” - “Hibari-san was at the scene with a few others, but everyone involved knew about what happened, so it wasn’t like the rest of them were kept in the dark about his cooperation.”

There are a lot of things he wished had went differently during that incident, but it's impossible to change that now. He survived it, though, and that's what's important to everyone else.

( “So, you don’t think or find him at all dangerous? Don’t you deep down feel afraid of him?” ) “I exercise a healthy amount of fear. Regardless of how harmless someone my present themselves, they’re still dangerous. You must be mindful of the possibility. Look at Yamamoto, put a ball in his hands… and… you know.”

It's interesting that Haru-chan brought up Yamamoto-kun to explain why she wasn't afraid with Byakuran. He doesn't think there's any possible way to compare them, but that doesn't sound like the point.

( “So, you’re not afraid of him, but you don’t forget the fact that you should be mindful around him in different situations.” ) “Exactly. I don’t have a reason to fear the Byakuran-san of this timeline anyways. He hasn’t done anything that would warrant fear on my end. He’s been nothing but nice or helpful to me. Like I said, I don’t think it makes sense to judge him of today for something that happened in the future.”

Nothing but nice or helpful… The thought makes him smile. He's appreciated for what he does now and is not feared for what he did then. It doesn't stop him from worrying she could still find a reason to be afraid. Or, in the worst case scenario, an excuse to do so.

“Ah- he does look a bit intimidating sometimes. At first, I honestly thought he was trying to scare me away, you know?” “Though, I think it’s like Gokudera and how he always looks mad.” “Maybe he just always looks intimidating. He’s not intimidating when you actually talk to him, so it’s like… a weird dissonance kind of thing. Like, gap moe, except this isn’t moe?” “Mn- maybe it would be moe to some people.”

This comparison makes a lot more sense than with Yamamoto-kun, but… Gokudera-kun doesn't inherently have the intimidating effect. There's a huge difference between purposeful and unintentional. 'Gap moe' to some people, though… he wonders if he can ask about this later.

( “So earlier, you were very deep in thought. A strawberry castella for your thought?” ) “Well, I guess it came as a shock to me how quickly I came to feel comfortable around him, and how I trust him.” “I thought it was kind of funny how I may trust him more than some of our friends in some areas. If I ever did a trust fall, I can think of at least two people who may have just let me fall- not out of ill-will, but either because they didn’t think I’d go through with it or they got distracted by a bug.”

Maybe Byakuran isn't surprised that she has other friends who wouldn't catch her in a trust fall, but why does she seem to assume i>he would? It's true, but having it said aloud like that… isn't it still a bad idea? Even after protecting her from serious danger that one time, he's much more dangerous than that situation.

( “Was that all of it?” ) “I just—I never thought about it much until now, but I said I trust him right? I don’t know if that’s mutual. Maybe he doesn’t trust me. Could just be humoring me or being nice to be polite.”

It's not in his nature to be polite to that extent, it's more about maturity. Haru-chan might see it if they ever interact with anyone else when they're around each other, even if that doesn't seem likely to happen.

( “So, you’re worried that he just tolerates you or something? Mmm… I feel like that isn’t the case. You know, the others don’t tolerate you either. They do like you being around, even if what you do confuses them sometimes. Tsuna-kun included.” ) “Thanks.” ( “Of course. Anyways, I don’t think a person who was just tolerating you would go out of their way to create more opportunities to meet you or take time out of their day to talk and console you.” )

Byakuran has no idea where he'd start if he were to write down all the reasons why he likes Haru-chan being around. He just knows he'd worry about giving her something spanning more than one page, but it'd be longer than that.

“True… though, I do hope there is some trust there. He’s already being monitored, and if he knows that, I wonder if he was wary about me approaching him. Like, was I tasked to approach him?”

Without knowing the Vongola Famiglia has been eyeing him, the thought of her being a spy of sorts… it never occurred to him. Even if it had, he's not sure he'd have cared. He has been grateful for the company regardless. The only major thing he has to hide is the dark thoughts, and those aren't major enough to warrant espionage.

“You know, that is annoying to me. He’s still being monitored? For what? I doubt it’s on Tsuna-san’s orders, but if it was, I’ll need to have a stern word with him.”

Byakuran is no stranger to being monitored - the feeling of being watched never leaves because he is. He always is. It's nothing new, but when she says it like this… it does feel wrong. It's no wonder he lives alone now. No one can watch him, no one can listen in on him. The nothingness in his apartment at least reminds him he's totally alone, even if he's not sure he likes that.

“You don’t team up with someone and use them to in return not trust them. Don’t work with people you can’t trust and don’t trust people you can’t work with. How is it any different from using someone as a disposable pawn, they almost die and then you still don’t trust them?”

Hm, he didn't think of it like that. He was still too self-confident to understand he had a lot more at stake now than he did in the first future. Maybe it's still a self-absorbed idea that he gladly accepted an invitation rather than was just being used for a goal. He didn't even meet that goal, did he? Tsunayoshi-kun was ultimately enough. Byakuran wasn't conscious or even there for any of that.

Maybe she's right. The more he thinks about it, picking at his castella cake, the more it really does feel like he was thrown away as soon as he failed to do something he was asked to do. Does being overconfident really change any of that?

“It’s frustrating. It’s no surprise that he gives off a lonely vibe. I don’t think they see just how broken and hurt he is. They only see what they want to see, like they want for him to still be the person they fought against.” A sarcastic snort, “Isn’t it funny though? It’s like they would much rather him be the same instead of being different and turning out for the better. Maybe it’s just the optimist in me.”

He lowers the fork with the bite he's about to take.

That everyone else can't get rid of the sight of who he was is obvious, but… is this how Haru-chan really sees him now? As he is in this life… ? Not evil, just broken?

Last time he lived, he'd stopped caring about hurting others and just let it happen. The thought to stop doing so never occurred to him until the very end. He can't hurt anyone else anymore, and he doesn't know how to stop hurting himself. Is that really much different?

“Well, if he doesn’t trust me, then I’ll just have to work to gain that trust, that’s all.” “I just… want to help, and I hope he’ll come to understand that and let me try to help him. Things are easier if you have someone who is willing to support you through it.”

… It always surprises him how much a single person's kindness can change his life, and it sounds like she's dedicated to doing so. She really wants him to trust her… she wants to help and support him in every way. And she's right. Everything really does seem easier when someone is there, he's just never truly experienced the all-encompassing type it sounds like she's aiming for.

Now that he thinks about it, there are ways he knows she can easily do just that, but he's never thought to ask for them. Maybe he should try sometime… ?

( “If he doesn’t know now, I’m he’ll come to understand in time.” “By the way, what drew you to him anyways? Like, why did you approach him at the ice cream place to begin with?” ) “He was alone and sweets taste better with company. I don’t think I really had a deep reason behind me approaching him other than I was curious as to why he was alone? I didn’t really know him, but I do know of him- so it didn’t feel right to walk on by without saying hello at least.”

Just curious, huh? They're similar in that respect, then… Byakuran is usually the same way.

And he'd barely paid attention to any other Haru-chan he'd met, always too focused on studying the rest who he needed to take down in his original timeline. Of course he'd seen other versions of her, but not enough to know her. It seems like they had the same reason to interact. Had known of each other, but hadn't gotten to know each other.

As hesitant as he is to consider it… maybe they have more in common than he thought?

( “Hibari-san warned you that soon the others will find out you’ve been hanging out with him, how do you think it’ll go? Are you worried?” ) “Honestly? I’m a bit nervous about it, but overall, I’m not worried. Tsuna-san trusted him, Lambo-chan was a bit too young to really understand what was going on, Hibari-san didn’t have anything to say about me befriending him, and Yamamoto seems to be okay with him?” “Gokudera and Onii-san probably would have things to say, they’d be mad, but it would be out of worry. I think they’ll come to terms with it over time. It’ll be harder for them to keep that grouchy energy if Tsuna-san is okay with it. He’d be worried, probably, but I don’t think he’d be against it.”

Naturally Haru-chan being around him would upset some in the famiglia that took him down. She would've been better off staying away, but… Byakuran knows he doesn't want that. He's just as confident that she doesn't want that. She does exactly what she wants, and he won't try to stop her.

… But why, though?

Why is she so intent on helping him? So dedicated to a goal of getting someone like him to open up to her? Deep down, is this just about Haru-chan fixing someone she sees as broken and hurt… ?

It doesn't feel like it, though. He can't place why he doubts it, but he does. Is there some other reason she's here that he's not aware of?

But… his mind has already been spun enough and their topic has changed, so he'll eat cake and think about something else. He's exhausted his mind from processing everything he just heard. And if Haru-chan sees him, he knows he can say he just arrived and didn't want to interrupt.

He'll have to think about everything when he has a clearer head, so maybe right now he'll stay where he is, still picking at cake. Now if only his appetite would return...

Hi, I just read your college headcanon thing and I'm just wondering if you have any about what Reborn, viper, Collenelo & Lal and Skull are doing during this! Or of them during their college years!!

As for while the main cast (Tsuna & co.) are trudging through their years in uni, Reborn has grown a considerable amount, and has kind of let Tsuna on a longer kitestring than before; He still offers his absolutely unhinged tutoring services, and threatens Tsuna that if he doesn't sit down and study to do well in college, he is doomed to having no skills outside of being the 10th generation Vongola family boss lolol

Mammon literally doesn't have to worry about anyone in uni lolol I don't think they're close to anyone who would go to university, maybe Fran but they genuinely could care less about how his studies are going; Maybe if Fran was an accounting/econ major and Mammon considered him a good asset for accumulating wealth.... but we all know Fran's an art or language student or some shit so there's no way in hell

Colonnello goes to all of the sports events to cheer on Yamamoto and Ryohei and literally everyone else; Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he was a PE instructor or decides to be a kinesiology/athletics/nutrition related instructor at some point, he's got time...

Lal doesn't feel as much obligation towards watching over Tsuna & co. anymore at this point, but she gives them shit about their studies sometimes whenever they do see her; Duuuude maybe Colonnello's a prof somewhere and she's the mysterious hot person that visits him during his breaks a little too often and the students are definitely speculating LOL (ColoLal is literally the "prof who overshares" and "brick wall prof" ship dynamic and I love them for it)

Skull is pretty involved with Enma and the Simon bbies in uni!! He goes to any of their sporting events or extracurriculars that they want him to witness bahahaha; Aside from that though, university was never his thing..

Would probably be a frat boy at some point in his college career, he's terrifying and notorious for being brutal with incoming members (hazing isn't fun, y'all); He thinks it's all in good fun though hmmmm.. evil

He somehow has so much time it's like he has infinite time he's that friend that's taking all these classes and balancing work and clubs and socializing, nobody knows how he does it; He's secretly running on basically no sleep, just pure survival instinct

He's in a lot of clubs, his favorite is the costume making or fashion club, he's not the best with sewing, but he loves the people there and they love him as well; He's their bestie and model of choice and he has a good eye for design

He has a creative knack and it's his destressing outlet but he tends to ignore it, why are youuu doing polisci of all things, hardass :\

Literally why would Mammon be in university it's expensive???

In the case that higher education is not exorbitantly priced and Mammon is attending such an institution..

They literally have purple hair and pronouns BAHAHAH They're absolutely styling on everyone in class all the time, but in a dark brooding and emo way

Says the bare minimum and does just what they need to pass their classes, spare time is spent grinding their side hustles for moneyyy

They're pretty quiet and generally keep to themselves, but won't hesitate to speak to people when spoken to or interacted with

Mammon studies econ or something like that because eughh money money money, but they also have a soft spot for studying certain animals

They got closer to Reborn because they were in the same herpetology course, and had some heated debates over whether the frog or the lizard was superior; They study together sometimes, people think they're dating but they're literally just two hot people sitting next to each other reading up on caecilian life cycles

Mammon definitely has kind of a weird room, with pink lights set up for exotic plants they got really into taking care of at some point, some frogs in a tank somewhere, it's also quite dim in there for no good reason

Gym rat

University is but an extra expensive gym membership to him

He's the type to bring coffee or snacks in to a friend's class, sneaking in through the back with that stupid little grin

Yeah, he knows the effect he has on people, his eyes pierce through hearts brooo it's insane

People assume he's involved with Lal and kind of back off, they probably founded a little paintballing club and a majority of their initial recruitments were just people who thought they were hot and came up to them

He studies something super niche like kinesthetics or whatever goes into physical therapy; He's fascinated by the works of the body and actually is so sweet for wanting to use his experience to help others live their best lives

He volunteers at the raptor center because I said so and that's where he met his best bird friend Falco; He also goes birdwatching at the crack ass of dawn, the perfect time for him to start his morning run before going to the gym or something ashdhsjdf idk how people do this shit broe

Him and Reborn have friend groups that somehow merged and they hated each other's guts since the moment they met each other, they probably fought at some point idk and then became like rival besties LOL the kind where they compete with each other in a not so serious way to keep themselves motivated

Either has a double major or minor in women's studies, she's too much of a baddie to not; She's a physics/engineering student though, if not something else hot and sexy like biochem or chemeng...

A substantial number of people in her classes have the hots for her because of the skewed sex ratio in stem especially engineering college life Lal is the hottest bitch on campus

She's got blue light glasses (nerd) and usually shows up to class right on time with sweatpants and a tank top, maybe a zip-up hoodie (my bets are that it's Colonnello's hehe) if there's a breeze outside

She's probably yet another busybody that somehow has time for everything; College level volleyball or softball, probably, and probably some internships on top of her classes

Lal gets along surprisingly well with Mammon, they both begrudgingly respect each other's interest in insects

She definitely started getting tattoos in her college years, she wasn't allowed to even think of them before that, but she knew that once she got out into the world on her own she would adorn herself with so much wearable art

She's got mad rbf to the point where other students are intimidated to even speak to her, sometimes even intimidating to instructors

She's usually in a neutral or even decent mood though, she's quite blunt and straightforward with things, but she's so kind and helpful to anyone who dares to ask her for help

♡ Skull

Why is he even here he doesn't know why he's here

He's here because there are hot girls on campus who look at him when he pulls up on his motorcycle, that is all

Imagine his surprise when he realizes he has to do work to stay in uni, not just hang out and be hot and get girls

College was his peak and his prime for getting his hair cut and dyed spontaneously, getting a million new piercings, etc.; A good amount of these body modifications are done with friends or by friends

He's punk af and loves going to yard shows, maybe house parties

Frat people love him because he has the most insane party tricks, being basically invincible

I like imagining that Colonnello and Skull have lived together at some point and Colonnello has a stockpile of energy drinks; Skull makes great use of that stockpile as well when he's furiously guzzling those electrolytes the morning after to fight off his hangovers (oh Skull my dear it doesn’t work that way lol)

His handwriting is so messy yo whenever he bothers to actually take notes, he'll look back on them and he isn't even 100% sure what he wrote orz

This man cannot cook for his life and became the errand boy just getting groceries for the house so that his dear roommates can make dinner LOL He doesn't mind though :)

Everything that I write about Mammon is sooo friggin self-indulgent, and this is my worst offense. I love reptiles and insects and they do too now I don't make the rules :) Also I literally have a crush on Lal don't come for me if she was @ my uni I'd propose on the spot move aside 'Nello

Hello there ! Since I saw you do a lot of theories and meta and things I wanted to know if you had an opinion on Nana's behavior as a parent ? There is a lot of controversy about her way of being a parent. For you is she a good/caring mother or is there smth wrong with her (some say that she is negligent to downright abusive and I wanted to hear your take on this ?)

hi, nonny! thank you for the ask. <3

i do have an opinion about that, and personally it’s a conflicted one. i agree she wasn't a great mother for sure, but for me she wasn't a bad one either, more like she had her bad moments, tho admittedly they were very upsetting and questionable ones.

but imo she's still a good mother all things considered, loves and cares about tsuna without a doubt, and has always only had his best interest at heart and has always been well-meaning, even if sometimes she still ended up being hurtful to him. they're close too, like, she doesn't just give him a roof and food and clothes and calls it a day, but is actually involved in his school life, showing up to support him at the sports festival, showing up at the parents' day, and bribing him with his allowance so he'll put in more efforts to get good grades. she scolds him about school too when he skips and whatnot, worries about him when crimes pick up in their neighborhood and warns him about it, and they’re also close enough and comfortable enough with each other to argue with each other about dinner or lambo or iemitsu, to snap at each other too, so there’s familiarity and trust there too.

all around when the manga starts she’s the only one shown to not have given up on him yet, tho does have low expectations for him too by then, but she wants him to “live happily” and pushes him to try harder so that can happen, and is present and involved in his life, and supportive of him.

ON THE OTHER HAND, her bad moments really are less than stellar ones, and whenever i think about how she called him dame-tsuna like it was no big deal, in a way it was clear it wasn’t the first time she did that, tho if the rest of the manga is anything to go by it isn’t a recurrent thing either, and forgot his birthday while preparing a surprise party for reborn who was born literally only one day before him, it honestly fills me with so much unreasonable rage, and in that moment i’m convinced she’s irredeemable actually lol. she also lied to tsuna about iemitsu having supposedly disappeared for two years, and tho i care less about this one because i don’t care much about iemitsu lol, it was objectively still not her finest moment as a mother by a long shot. and part of that rage i feel about all that is only because i’m projecting on tsuna so it hits a little too close to home, but those are things that still did lasting damages to tsuna’s self-esteem for sure all the same.

and if tsuna never forgives her for that and never wants to move past that hand in hand with her so they can start fresh and make their relationship a healthier one going forwards, it’s of course totally understandable and well within his right, but overall i personally believe that there’s also room in canon to believably redeem nana and make her closer to tsuna in a way that won’t hurt him, which is what i tend to do the most in my fics. like, if amano went down that route, i could and would have actually bought it, you know? and wouldn’t have felt it was ooc for either her or tsuna. like, she’s not unforgivable as a mother, not to me at least, even if, again, i of course still don’t think tsuna owes her forgiveness in any way just because she’s never meant any harm and has genuinely loved him and cared for him through it all.

actually @ browniefox put my conflicted feelings about her as a mother in a better way than her being a good mother with her bad moments! in one of their posts they described her relationship with tsuna like that:

which is literally so perfectly put in a succinct way i clearly could have never done lol, and is literally everything i think about it too.

is nana a negligent mother? yeah, for sure, which is plainly and simply canon, and which also makes her abusive because child neglect is abuse, but i don’t think she was “downright abusive” in the sense where i don’t think she’s ever gone out of her way to actively, purposefully, constantly and consciously emotionally and/or physically abuse tsuna.

i particularly like how they said nana “doesn't think there'd ever be anything to do with Tsuna that would be worrysome”, because i know the fact she’s never done anything about tsuna’s bullying and overall poor treatment from his peers as far as we can tell is rightfully held the most harshly against her, but i really think she actually just doesn't know about any of it, instead of her choosing to ignore/dismiss it. or at least she's never taken it seriously if tsuna has ever tried to tell her about it or if she’s ever came aware of it in other ways, downplaying it enough she thinks it's okay to just ignore/dismiss it, letting tsuna to deal with it by himself.

because, and i’m going to fully speculate here about her thought process, we’re talking about tsuna here, right? her only, beloved child she’s dotted on and loved and cared for happily ever since he was born, answering to all his needs, so how could he possibly have stepped out of that loving household into the world and not be doing perfectly well in it? not be perfectly well treated by it? or at least, how could he possibly encounter hardships in that world he wouldn’t be able to deal on his own, and go through without it harming him in lasting ways?

and you know, when he was little and before the bullying started, it’s likely she was answering to all his needs, except tsuna has grown up while meeting hardships in the world he can’t deal with on his own, let alone go through and make it on the other side unscathed, and his needs changed while new ones have came up as he's done so. but instead of adapting herself to that, nana has kept believing she's already being the best mother she can be, and thus her son can’t need anything more from her than what she's already giving him.

which we know isn’t true by a long shot, but if tsuna has ever tried to snap her out of her bubble of blissful ignorance, he clearly didn’t get through her and gave up on that by the time the manga starts. which also means nana explains his attitude by making it a personal failure from him, which super sucks for tsuna and is also one of her less than stellar moments as a mother, but that just goes to show how much she believes nothing could go wrong with tsuna unless he chooses to make it so.

talking about the whole bullying thing, i also think it’s the same thought process that lets her think it’s no big deal to call him dame-tsuna. like, she has had to pick up that demeaning nickname somewhere, and i doubt she did it from tsuna himself, so she’s clearly aware to some extent people call her son that, but i don’t think she realizes just the scale at which it happens, and the weight of that nickname, and how hurtful it’s meant to be and how much more hurtful it’s turned out to be as tsuna has came to see himself like that too and believe it’s truly all he’ll ever be able to amount to, and how much it can only hurt him to hear it from his own mother. especially if she picked it up from other kids like i think is the more likely way it happened, because then she had the easy option to explain it away as just “kids being kids” who didn’t actually mean anything by it, let alone harm and hurt, which is also the most logical and only option that makes sense to her.

and finally i really believe tsuna would hide it all from her to begin with. maybe not at first when he was still young, but once he’d realize he wasn’t getting it through her about how he was legitimately struggling and being hurt by others, because nana wouldn’t even think to consider the fact people might give her son legitimate trouble, he’d stop trying. and on days when he’d come back home bruised from a beating or with other obvious proofs of the bullying, he’d simply lie about it, would be the one to actually dismiss it/brush it all away using his natural clumsiness and whatnot as excuses.

sorry i went on a bit of a tangent here zsdfgch, but i figured it was relevant enough to share my opinion on that matter too.

finally i want to add a bit to that part of browniefox’s quote too:

because it’s just the direct consequence of her not thinking anything could ever go wrong with tsuna, but i’m drawing attention to that bit too because as much as i said they love and care about each other and are close to each other, i don’t think tsuna actually sees her as someone he can rely on at all.

so by the time the manga starts they’re in this interesting stalemate where they are close to each other, but not in the ways that matter the most, not in the way where tsuna trusts her with his most hurting, struggling, vulnerable self, where he believes he can open up to her and have her share some of his burden and have her help him go through his hardships, so much so he doesn’t even try anymore because he’s learned it gets him nowhere anyway.

so they’re stuck in this weird status quo where nana literally doesn’t even see tsuna the way he truly is, as the boy he’s grown into with all the struggles he’s picked up along the way, and tsuna has resigned himself to never have the mother he needs because of it, but they still care for each other and are still genuinely on good terms, though no doubt there’s some resentment and bitterness on tsuna’s side. and idk, i just think it makes for a super nuanced, layered and interesting dynamic, so i wanted to put it out there.

and i know i said finally lol, but just a quick note on the mafia side of all this. not that i think i need to because this isn’t something i’ve actually seen being held against her? but yeah, i still want to say she could do little about tsuna being forced into the mafia and all those dangerous mafia-related situations, when everyone including and first and foremost tsuna and iemitsu themselves actively does their best to keep her in the dark about it, so it’s hardly on her. and when she is aware enough of that to be angry and want to talk about it like when lambo was involved in the rings battles and ended up in a coma for it, she’s actually asked by iemitsu to let it be, so.

but anyway, do i think nana is a good/caring mother? yeah, i do.

do i think she could have been a better one and has her flaws that have deeply hurt tsuna and failed him when he needed her the most? for sure.

do i think she was negligent to downright abusive? like i already said, negligent, yeah, no doubt, meaning she was also abusive by design of her being negligent, but i don’t personally think she was abusive otherwise.

do i still think there was canonical room to believably make her a better mother and mend her relationship with tsuna should amano had chosen to go that way (not that i’m saying it should have gone that way)? well, this might be an unpopular opinion, but yeah, i do.

You both always care for eachother, you are always here for eachother. But you will always remember that day when toge was very sick and barely could move. He was showing signs of being sick days before but he didn't care much, he had to finish his papers for the work.

He had to try his best to provide for his lovely family. All he could think about was his children and spouse, he never cared about any of the signs about him getting sick.

You just started realising how he's breathing tightly and how he is always hot when you are next to him, and how he is always tired. So you wanted to confront him about it. "Hey toge, you seem sick, why don't you take a rest?"

"Okaka!" He continued pushing himself until he fainted and it got really serious. You tucked him in the bed. He woke up seeing the concerned looks on your face and how worried the children were.

"S-sweetheart, im so worried about you!" You cried giving him a hug. "Move away" he replied afraid you will get sick too. "Oh and I made you some soup... i hope you like it" you said giving him the soup "shake" he said doing prayers then started eating.

"You are pushing yourself so much... remember that i have a job too, i can provide alone... your health matters more..." you said mad at him. He just looked down at his plate crying. He felt like a burden now. He also felt upset because you started yelling at him.

"You see, i don't want to lose you.. you know how much you mean to me, right?" You said wiping his tears "rest well, I'll do everything and take care of you." You gave him some water to drink. He just started feeling dizzy and was about to vomit. "Okaka-" he said running to the toilet and vomiting.

"Toge?! Are you okay?" You helped him cleaning up his face, he just started crying, it was so painful. "Tsuna!" He yelled sitting on the floor, you had to carry him back to the bed. He hugged the pillow tightly wanting to hug you like that. "I'm sorry" he said. You just placed a wet towel on his forehead and went away to give him some space.

"I hope he will get well soon, i feel bad because i didn't notice before..." you thought calling a doctor, "yeah my husband is in a bad condition, can you be here as soon as possible?, yeah he does have a high temperature, no we still haven't gave him any medicines"

Toge was hearing every second of that conversation, he just couldn't hold on anymore and fell asleep. Meanwhile, you were trying your best to hygiene all of the room and make it a better place for a sick person. The doctor came to check on him and diagnosed him while sleeping.

Eventually you drove to the pharmacy quickly getting the suitable medication. He was awake vomiting again, but this time he didn't make it to the bathroom quickly so he felt disgusting. He tried cleaning the mess up but he couldn't.

It was hard to do while being sick. "I'm home!" He heard your voice as you just got greeted by him sobbing. "I'm sorry!!" He said you helped him change again and you cleaned the floor. "Sweetheart, it's okay.. take this medicine, hopefully you will feel better."

He drank the medication hoping to feel better. "Oh also the doctor said that it's alright if i hugged you or sat next to you, i won't get sick, so don't worry." After you said that a grin was formed on his face then he jumped and hugged you tightly crying. "I love you sweetheart" you said kissing his marks as he replied "shake shake."

Waking up and grabbing his waist then pulling him closer to you felt like a dream. You cared about him a lot. You started tearing up at that time, you placed your hand on his head as you felt him moving, "you almost gave me a heart attack dumbass... please take care."

"S-shake" he said with a red face, no, not because he's sick, it was because of the way you are holding him tightly wrapping your legs around his and grabbing his waist with one hand and the other on his head.

"Are you feeling better?" You said admiring his face "also, your face is red! Omg-" you got up and started filling up a bowl with cold water and bought him a wet towel. *it's blush, calm down-* he signed. "It doesn't matter, I'll cook for you some mashed potatoes take care love."

Days passed by and eventually he's feeling better that. day, so he decided to get up and help you with cooking. "How are you feeling sweetheart?" You said smiling as you was hugging you from behind. "Shake!" He replied that made you happy to hear that he's doing better so you started crying happily.

"I love you.." you said leaving everything aside and showering him with kisses, he felt butterflies in his stomach. "Tsuna!" He then pointed out that the food was burning. You immediately started panicking. After that you started cooking again.

Toge on the other hand went back to the room feeling bad that he distractions you. He opened his phone and found out that he has been fired from the job. He sat there devastated feeling empty.

You came to give toge the food only to find him crying wrapping himself with blankets not looking at you at all. "What's wrong?" You asked waiting for a reply you say next to him and hugged him.

As simple as that he turned to your direction and started trying to explain himself. "So that mf fired you because you are sick?!!?" You asked madly as he just nodded. "Don't worry I'll try making you happier" you wiped his tears away. "It hurts me seeing you hurt"

Your sweet husband wiped his tears and looked at you as if he had disappointed you. "Hey, remember that you can now start a YouTube channel! It's always your dream to start one so I'll support you with it!" His eyes wide opened remember his dreams. He decided that he will achieve his dreams.

"Oh also until YouTube starts paying you I'll support the family financially! I'm just so happy that we both have a lovely family, i couldn't ask for more." You smiled as he agreed happily.

After that day toge started with his new career and he realised making money in this was is more easier and less exhausting for him. He was just proud and happy to have you in his life.

Hashirama Senju

🌳Let’s be honest, this guy won’t have a hard time to bound very quickly with your child. He’s funny, supportive and spoiling and every child’s dream dad, not to mention that it’s cool to have the Hokage as your new father. The child’s old parent will be quickly forgotten, there’s no way to avoid this.

🌳Hashirama will be so happy and thrilled when hearing the child calling him dad. He tries from the very first moment he met you and the child to be seen as their father and the kid finally calming him their dad makes him feel very proud.

🌳Hashirama is in a sense sometimes a bit like a child himself and would probably be the type to suffocate the child in a hug after they called him dad and became embarrassed by it. No need to feel embarrassed kiddo! They just made his whole day brighten up.

🌳Hashirama would be already affectionate dad no. 1 before, but after this? Expect him to work even harder on wrapping the child around his fingers so that they won’t feel embarrassed anymore in the future about this.

Tobirama Senju

🌊Tobirama has a harder time to get along with your child, especially when they aren’t interested in the things he is or are just in general more smaller. Then expect the second Hokage to look absolutely clueless about what to do. He’s insecure, to say the least, feeling almost frustrated that he can’t seem to bound with the child. His self-esteem would be hurt and he can of course try to blame it on the child. But in the back of the head he’s aware that his behavior isn’t the most ideal either.

🌊So as weird as it may sound, the child calling him dad would be needed in order for him to regain the confidence needed to treat the child better. He would feel relieved to hear that his child didn’t think of him that worse like he thought they would and also proud. He must have done something right in order to get the kid to call him dad, didn’t he?

🌊He would have a bit of a hard time to think about what to do when seeing the kid getting embarrassed about this, not really knowing what to say in order to make the child feel better. He isn’t the best in it and we all know it. But he does know that he should say something. In the end he might settle with simply telling the child that they don’t need to feel embarrassed about it.

🌊I feel like calling him dad would help him to try to get more bounding time with his child. He isn’t all that funny like Hashirama is and a lot more awkward, but he’ll try to get closer to the child in another way. I feel like if the child starts visiting the academy he would have a much more easier time to get closer to them, helping them with homework and teaching them in taijutsu, ninjutsu and genjutsu. He would help them finding out their strengths and lessening their weaknesses.

Tsunade Senju

🐌If Hashirama is affectionate daddy no. 1, then Tsunade is affectionate mummy no.1. You can’t tell me that she won’t be head over heels for the child and would do everything to make them feel loved, especially if the child should show signs that they suffer from their other parent leaving them. Just like with Hashirama I can see your child quickly forgetting all about their old parent.

🐌Tsuna would be constantly worried that the child won’t really accept her as their new parent and if that would be the case she would be heartbroken because she loves that child with all her heart. Completely overjoyed when the kid calls her for the first time mum.

🐌Tsunade wouldn’t be that smothering like Hashi, but would still quickly reassure the kid to not feel embarrassed, hugging them and pressing a few soft kisses on their face. She honestly feels like bursting with joy right now.

🐌Tsunade is in that case similar to Hashirama. She would become more smothering and lovingly, if that’s even possible, to the child to help them finally coming over the phrase of feeling embarrassed about addressing her as mum. It’s also always helpful to have a medic as a parent because as soon as the child gets sick or injures themself Tsunade goes into full mummy mode.

Minato Namikaze

⚡️Minato is easy to get along with. He’s supportive, understanding and listens to the child’s every worry they might have regarding their parent who abandoned them or general worries they might have. He’s a fun and playful teasing type and it won’t be hard for him and the child to quickly get along amazing together.

⚡️A proud man, let me just tell you this. Minato really wants to be the new parent figure for his darling’s child and would be glad when hearing that they consider him as their new father.

⚡️Would give the kid a happy smile, ruffle their hair and tell them that they don’t have to feel ashamed about this. But I can also see him as someone who’s alright if the child has some troubles in calling him dad, understanding that for them the whole situation is still pretty new and foreign.

⚡️Minato has patience and isn’t pushy in the last bit. If your kid needs time then so be it. He will during this time just try to make the child warm up to him, probably even being sly about it and taking the child with your approval from time to time to work and showing them all the different sides of being a Hokage.

Sakura Haruno

🌸Another great mom to have. Sakura is a very caring and protective mother, adoring the small sweetheart just as much as she adores you. As a medic she’ll always be great with handling any injuries or sickness the child might get. Also only supporting and sweet to the child, a great contrary from how she acts to persons that make her child uncomfortable.

🌸Sakura’s greatest wish is it that her child sees her as their mother, working hard to prove that she won’t leave like the other person. So the moment the kid calls her mom her heart bursts with joy.

🌸Sakura is beyond excited, but also doesn’t want to pressure the child into anything. But that doesn’t mean that she won’t lift the child up with a smile on her face and press a kiss against their cheek. Do you even know how happy that made her?

🌸This would encourage and cheer Sakura up, telling her that she’s on the right way to gain the child’s trust. And once she does she’ll be the best mom anyone could ask for. If the child is on the more quiet and shy side, I have to agree with you in this, Sakura would help them jumping over their shadow and helping them blossoming.

But considering how Shamal is aka flirts and hits on everything that identifies as female

How would Tsuna and his guardians react to that happening to their female partner?

This actually isn't a question I've ever had before! Thank you so much for sending it in and I hope you'll enjoy the headcanons!

We actually kind of saw how this would go down with Tsuna during the Daily Life Arc, when Shamal made some comments about Kyoko, someone Tsuna had a crush on. He'd react exactly the same throughout his teenage years with anyone he dated. That is, while nervous, panicky, a little upset, not at all sure how to react, Tsuna would definitely step in front of his partner and tell Shamal to leave them alone. I think he'd still largely react the same as an adult, though he's gotten more used to the doctor, knows Shamal is just being Shamal and wouldn't genuinely carry through with any of his flirting. He's still making sure he's right beside his partner though and if they become uncomfortable in any way, he's shutting Shamal down and getting his partner out of the situation in the best way he could.

Now, when it comes to Gokudera, I really do think that Shamal has a real weak spot for Hayato. Hayato is someone precious to Shamal, even if he verbally pretends otherwise. Actions speak a lot louder than words and Shamal is very interested in Hayato's life, worries about him, and does keep tabs on Hayato's life even as the boy grows into a man. He'd never actually do anything to harm Hayato, so in a way, I do think Shamal respects any partner Hayato does actually settle down with enough for Shamal to meet. His flirting wouldn't be as overt and not as physical as it would be with some of the other Guardians partners and it's mostly done to tease his precious student, to see Hayato get worked up. Because he will get worked up, calling Shamal a dirty old man and maybe even getting a little physically violent and definitely angry. His partner is either someone who just would've shut Shamal down anyway or is laid-back enough to realize the flirting was harmless and teasing and would both laugh it off and help Shamal out by defusing Hayato's ever-present temper just a little.

Honestly, this probably wouldn't bother Yamamoto too much. Not only is he a pretty laid-back, chill kind of person but he really does accept people for who they are. And that includes Shamal and his many quirks and his habit of needing to flirt and 'pick up' those women he considers attractive. In some way, yeah, it's kind of an ego boost for Yamamoto that his partner is so hot that other men really are desperately trying to flirt with them. Overall though, Yamamoto is someone who would never be in a relationship with someone he didn't absolutely respect and trust, so he knows that his partner would never do anything with Shamal, no matter how much flirting and pick-up lines the other man tried. That being said, if Shamal does cross the line to a point where Yamamoto notices his partner getting uncomfortable (which he definitely will, as Yamamoto is a lot more observant than he lets on), Takeshi will have absolutely no problem just casually telling Shamal to knock it off, in probably the nicest and friendliest way. He's just like 'yeah dude, maybe tone it down a bit, you're making her feel uncomfortable' or Yamamoto manages to completely change the subject, because he really just that kind of person.

Okay, but we kind of get hints that teenage Lambo turns into a bit of a playboy type and I really think that's partially to blame on Shamal being around Lambo during his formative years. Lambo seems to be the one person genuinely interested in learning Shamal's pick-up tricks and he takes some of the doctor's lines and techniques and honestly, those are probably among the things that made Lambo's partner initially fall for him. So Shamal trying to flirt with Lambo's partner? Lambo is genuinely curious to see how his partner will react, what might make them blush, make them upset. He uses it as a bit of a learning experience, though if his partner doesn't seem at all interested in anything Shamal is selling, Lambo is celebrating and rubbing it in the other man's face. It's that 'I have surpassed your skills, you dirty old bastard' moment for Lambo, where Lambo genuinely thinks it's because of Lambo's superior flirting and hitting on people skills that makes his partner like him more than they like Shamal and not the obvious choice of Lambo is who they're in love with and attracted to. That will, of course, create a verbal spar between Lambo and Shamal and Lambo's partner is just going to have to step away from those two idiots for a little bit, though Lambo will want his partner's sympathy and comfort when he loses that verbal sparring match.

Ryohei's starting a fight. There is going to be actual physical blows thrown on Ryohei's side and Shamal tends to beat a hasty retreat when that happens. It only takes once and Shamal really learns not to hit on Ryohei's partner, even jokingly or out of force of habit, when Ryohei is within earshot.

Hey, sorry to break it to you, sorry to anyone who doesn't like this take, but if Shamal is flirting with Hibari's partner, it's pretty much goddamn certain it's because Hibari isn't with them. One, Hibari doesn't actually spend an abundance of time with any romantic partner he does take, just because he is busy and has very clear goals and ideals he's working towards in life and doesn't have a lot of free time. Two, not even Shamal fucks with Hibari. Three, even if Shamal did fuck with Hibari and knew that was Hibari's partner, and even if Hibari overheard anything, Hibari expects ANY partner he takes on to be able to handle their own shit. Any romantic partner of Hibari's needs to be able to stand up for themselves and handle their own problems and that includes the good doctor.

I really honestly don't see Mukuro and Shamal interacting much at all. Even if they do encounter each other, it's largely just in passing, not even conversations. They share Tsuna's family in common but Mukuro doesn't really attend Vongola events, still holds himself apart. Chrome goes in his place instead for the most part and the only time I see Shamal and Mukuro seeing each other is either if the Vongola is in the midst of battle or if Shamal is treating someone in Kokuyo at Reborn's request. So, if Mukuro's partner does get hit on by Shamal, it's when they're not with Mukuro and Mukuro mostly hears about it afterwards. Because the situation isn't a pressing matter, it mostly just amuses Mukuro when his partner tells him about it.

As much as I absolutely adore Shamal, he's definitely propositioned Chrome and her female partner for a little ménage-a-trois action because the only thing hotter than one pretty girl is two pretty girls. It did make Chrome angry, embarrassed her, but Chrome isn't great about speaking up and standing up for herself. So her reaction is probably largely to just grab her partner's hand and run away from him. She doesn't much care for Shamal and tries to avoid him to the best of her ability anyway.

What kind of people do they dislike? Do they like who they themselves are?

What is their biggest secret? What's the biggest/worst lie they ever told? What lie do they frequently tell themselves?

What's their darkest desire? What's their biggest hope for the future? If they had the money, how would they want to change the world they live in?

If the world ended tomorrow, how would they spend their last day on earth? Who would they want to be with? Their worst fear stands between them and saving the world, would they be able to overcome that fear to save the world?

What would be their civilain dream job? If they had to kill someone innocent to save a friend, would they be able to do it? How long would their choice haunt them? Would they be able to face their friend if they decided to sacrifice them, but things ended up working out?

Your OCs biggest, wildest dreams all just came true! What do they do next? Who do they celebrate with? How do they celebrate? Loud exhilaration or quiet disbelief?

After these questions, I ask again, what would your OC change about themselves if they could? Did the answer change?

this hit me if only bc I thought “wouldn’t it be funny if Lambo just fucking sniffed someone lol” and then realised I’d have to come up with smth to surround it, here we are. anyways Bianchi’s about like, 22 here, and reader is the same age so. if Tsuna and co. were mostly 14 and I believe Bianchi was 17, that makes them 19, Ryohei 20. Lambo is 10 lol

prompt: you and Bianchi are incredibly close “friends”

Bianchi was someone you knew well. The first meeting had been rocky, but you thought she was rather cool, and very pretty. She was fun to be around; a lot more so than others in this line of work.

It was only natural that at some point upon hearing about her chasing after Reborn, in another exciting attempt to murder some poor kid that didn’t know any better, you’d end up following eventually. You did, after some time.

Being as close as you were, you frequented the Sawada household quite often, too. Which didn’t bother you, or anyone else, really. Nana was a wonderfully kind woman to you, very welcoming. You’d then naturally met the younger occupants. Well…

You wouldn’t really say you were fond of kids, including teenagers. But you’d learnt they were actually quite funny, and all a little stupid, which made things a lot more fun. You’d learnt early that out of the four boys, two girls, three children and Reborn, only four had any true book smarts. Two of them were children. You’d say three, but Reborn would kill you.

You liked the girls; a little ditzy and airheaded, but cute and attentive of others. The boys… they were good. You still had a lot to learn about them.

This was prompted by one of the youngest—

A deep inhale at your side had jerked you out of your thoughts, and you whipped around to stare down at the child incredulously.

“Did you just fucking sniff me?”

He was a child. He was a child, he was a child, he was a-

“Huh? Yeah, obviously.”

He was a goddamn child. Calm down.

You shot Tsuna a cautious look, and he had the decency to look half mortified. “Does he… usually sniff people?”

“Uh, no- Um, I’m not sure what he’s doing.”

Hayato’s snort caused you to twitch. You got along with the kids just fine, they were exciting to be around. Bianchi had told you you would get along with them, though her younger brother had not taken a shine to you. Expected.

You returned your attention to Lambo, shifting. “Why did you sniff me-?”

“You smell different!”

Breathe in. Out.

“Do I…? What exactly do I usually smell like…?”

“Like you!”

Not helpful, but direct and to the point. That was typically how he handled things.

“What do I smell like now…?” Oh, you were nervous.

“Huh… Bianchi!”

You froze, staring down at him in silence before visibly twitching this time when Reborn let out an amused noise.

Now… you’d met the kids a few years ago. They were a lot younger, and a lot dumber, and, well, a lot more innocent. They’d gotten older since then. You wish they hadn’t.

“How do you know what she smells like?”

“You stayed over, right?”

God, this kid was persistent.

“I did.”

The two of you stared at each other, as collected as possible on your side.

“In her room? Why?”

“Because we’re friends…?” You offered carefully. “Right?”

“Oh, that makes sense.”

You watched him leave the room, and it was silent for a good, tense second.

“Gross!”

“Shut up! Don’t talk to me!”

“I wasn’t going to!”

You stormed off at the sound of Hayato fake gagging, a ‘bleugh’ echoing as you stomped down to Bianchi’s room.

She wasn’t surprised when you threw her room open.

“Yes-?”

“Lambo fucking sniffed me and said I smelt like you and now your shitty little brother knows I stayed the night!”

Bianchi stopped for a moment before snorting, shoulders shaking as you threw her door shut and trudged up to her. “Did he?”

“Yes! Don’t laugh!”

She pet her lap, and you obeyed immediately, getting comfortable on her legs. She swung her desk chair side to side in an attempt to comfort you.

“Well, this could be an opening to get to know him.”

“Hah?” You stared at her for a moment. “Are you dumb? He didn’t even talk to me before this, why would he now? He’s a little punk, you know. He’s mean.”

She pet your hair down, nodding in understanding. “Push through adversity-“

“What part of this is adversity? Tell him to be nicer to me.”

“I actually think it’s rather funny. Do it yourself.”

You gaped, hitting her shoulder. Soft enough it wouldn’t hurt, hard enough to make her move with the motion.

“That’s terrible! Isn’t this your job as his sister?!”

Bianchi blinked up at you slowly before guiding your head down to her chest. “Don’t worry about it too much. He still has to grow a bit more.”

You huffed, draping your arms over the back of her chair, turning your head to get as comfy as the position would allow. “These brats are all weird as hell.”

“I thought you liked them?”

“They’re still little weirdos.”

In another ask, you shared your thoughts on why you didn’t like 6996 etc. do you think 2795 share the same problem? I think while Tsuna and Kyoko doesn’t seem as weird as 6996 on the surface upon further speculation and reading works where Kyoko becomes this bamf vongola tenth wife who does anything for Tsuna, it sort of treads the same vibe as Chrome and Mukuro in some way. Idk I just want to hear your thoughts on maybe 2795 and maybe 2786 as well.

Had to search these because I literally did not have any ships for this show until I rewatched it and just merged my favorite characters into one pair that happened to be a ship. I forget the others exist...With that being said, take this with a grain of salt because I honestly don’t even think about these ships a lot, forget they even exist. How KHR was written will always make the the very idea of Tsuna with any of the female characters feel weird or odd unless you’ve managed to read or create enough Fanon that changes your characterization of the original dynamic. I don’t think they share the same problem but maybe a similar one ? Tsuna and any female character compared to Mukuro and Chrome is very different in my opinion. (funnily enough it’s also because Mukuro isn’t a misogynist shsjsjsj) 6996 could work, they actually have a relationship that’s very personal to both parties and unlike 2795 they’re both aware of it and have a distinct unique connection with each other that consists of shared interests trust and mutual respect. it’s just odd to think about because chrome looks up to Mukuro and the power imbalance feels weird, he’s literally keeping her alive. (Which I know is disgustingly sweet I find it very heartwarming. )

2795 is this one sided crush with zero redeeming qualities. There was nothing remotely romantic or intriguing happening between Tsuna and Kyoko the entire series. If we took out Tsuna’s inner thoughts we honestly would’ve thought she was just this nice girl he knows from school. If we took out Tsuna’s thoughts in general and left it up to the fandom pulling this ship out of their butts it would honestly be 1000% cuter. All their interactions read like

“this girl is so lovely I really like her and she’s talking to me that’s amazing”

“Thanks for the pencil. Do your best on the test okay?”

I’m not swooning over the most lackluster interactions on the planet because he is over romanticizing it. Even the reason why he likes her is not that interesting or convincing. Which I mean I get it he’s only 14 he’s not thinking about all the small stuff like emotional support or validation or like not wanting to be alone etc. It’s still just you’re pretty let’s be happy all the time while you hold my hand forever. He deserves that he’s literally a kid. but even when i was younger i didn’t see it between them ever. On top of their interactions being boring they never give us things that make you go “oh wait she might actually like him hmmm” . they could have tried a little harder to make it a little more romantic? sometimes they show us Kyoko in a pink background hands clasped surrounded by hearts and I forget she’s supposed to be viewed in that light. I forget we’re supposed to actually consider her liking him too but what are we supposed to think Kyoko is looking for in a guy that makes Tsuna a possibility when she doesn't exist past eating cake and worrying about her brother and Tsuna. I think it’s also fair to note that they never imply that Tsuna actually thinks about her beyond his image of her but we see how caring he is with his friends to the point where he can point out their flaws and work through them anyways and accept them. Tsuna realizing Yamamoto was not himself during the Guardians trial is a perfect example of this, it establishes the relationship they built with one another. another example is Tsuna acknowledging that Gokudera is overwhelming and short tempered but he wouldn’t trade the guy for anyone because he is loyal and a good friend. he cares for Kyoko as a person in general but he never reaches that depth when it comes to her. he doesn’t have to either because it’s just a crush, how you manage to take that through the next ten years of his life I honestly don’t know.

TL;DR : My ONLY problem with 2795 is the fact that there is nothing to work off of but the implication that Tsuna likes this girl and that’s why they are endgame. she matters very little, just a figurehead of his normalcy. she’s written just as badly in fics, can I blame you? no you were probably like 14 writing them. do a lot of people still do this ? yeah so i’m just not interested until the fanon has changed her character for everyone.

I know I sound super hypocritical because “Sprite what the fuck does 6918 have that’s soooo intriguing they actually canonically hate each other how is that any better.” the answer: Mukuro and Hibari have a more established relationship with mutual feelings than those two, even better they’re actually really strong feelings (of pure hatred). Bonus, despite being aloof both characters also have fully developed personalities and Opinions/Behaviors that we can mold however we please. they actually have a relationship to play around with that's what makes it fun and lets you have those “actually they’re pretty similar in this aspect” because you know shit about both of them individually.

Now for 2786,,, as i sit here and think about it Haru and Tsuna make so much more sense for all the reasons him and kyoko don’t .

Kyoko and Haru were already made solely to be Tsuna’s love interests (specifically Kyoko) , but then it went on to be something they didn’t even bother hiding when they reduced their characters and their interests to looking after kids and repeatedly worrying over Tsuna. The reason I don’t find it appealing is because there really wasn’t any dynamic there at all. This boy liked this girl and that’s literally all it was. She has no depth , and despite being written for him nothing about Kyoko screams you’re perfect for this kid. Nothing says, You’re compatible, You have common interests, you two can rely on each other. She was pretty and nice and polite and that’s all they shared along with half the cast. With Haru they went the completely opposite direction, this girl likes him and is upfront about it. she's not a better candidate just because she's not the typical pretty girl whos quiet and polite and caring,(She’s not the better written female character either, this is reborn. they all lose here.) she’s the better candidate because we actually have a personality to compare to Tuna's. she was purposely given this big personality because he was never going to be in love with her because she’s like all the other intruding figures of his life. Again we have this one sided crush, know he doesn’t like her at all but you can actually see where they do go right and wrong. she’s a complete person.

Haru can handle a little wild in her life, she was the first one to know he would be a mafia boss and it didn’t phase her at all. Tsuna might need that later in life.

In the future when Tsuna finds her crying she tells him not to think her feelings have anything to do with him, completely different dynamic from kyoko whos emotions are always directly related to male characters and what they are doing.

Haru and her cosplays are so perfectly absurd and she does not care how weird he finds them, she has this big embarrassing trait to her that Tsuna comically responds to but just grows to overlook and accept.

she actually talks to Tsuna quite a lot and helps him out whenever she can, because he doesn't like her she's allowed to actually exist in his world and he sees her fully because of it. It makes sense to see his significant other who will be involved in the mafia as an asset who he wants to protect and not just...something he needs to protect bc they honestly don't want this.

she interviews the entire cast of the show because haru just fits there, in a yamamoto like way, she can just handle it.

Tsuna and Haru could have been perfect friends or a couple. they had the grounds for it. it’s just not what he wanted but I can totally see them working out for each other later in life. they make so much sense! i’ll have to think about them more sometime soon.
