"He doesn't seem superstitious."

“Steve, not superstitious?” you laugh at Lucas' assumption, knowing very well it's not true. "Yes, he is. He has a pair of sneakers that he calls his lucky sneakers, for God's sake.”

“Really?” Dustin asks, probably surprised to find out something new about Steve at this point. “Why would he think that sneakers give him luck?”

“Well…” You dip your foot into the water absently, sitting by Steve's pool and deeply enjoying the summer sun. The kids are staring at you with puzzled expressions. “He was wearing them when he got the job at Scoops Ahoy and at Family Video, and now he thinks they're really-”

You stop talking because someone has just come to a stop right behind you, shielding your body from the sun. Someone with a wonderful scent that you find terribly familiar, something fresh and citrusy mixed with the signature scent of sunscreen you'd all shared earlier.

You lift your chin and look up at Steve with an expression that probably looks guilty. He's got his head angled down to look at you too, quite calm.

“Ohh, you wanna start telling secrets?” he says slyly, an evil grin slowly taking over his handsome features. “I also wore my lucky sneakers when I asked if you wanted to-”

You get up so fast it's a miracle you don't trip and fall right there, but you're so focused on getting Steve to stop talking that you don't even think about what you're doing. You do the first and most effective thing that comes to your mind: cover his mouth with your hand.

You can feel his lips forming a smile against your palm almost instantly. Was he really going to tell them that you two are secretly dating?

You don't have to look to know; Max must be raising an eyebrow right now. Dustin is sure to have a lot of questions he's dying to ask. Kind of panicking, you start pulling Steve by the arm towards the house before anyone can say anything.

“Ow, ow,” he complains, stumbling along the path but allowing you to drag him without any resistance. "What's it?"

You close the door behind the two of you and see he has a big smile on his face. "What's it? Steve! You were going to tell them that the two of us...that the two of us-”

“-that the two of us...?” he encourages, apparently having lots of fun.

You slap his arm lightly.

“Steve!”

He takes your waist into his hands and pulls you closer than you should probably let him, touching the tip of his nose to your cheek affectionately. “You're the one who started it.”

“I thought it was supposed to be a secret.”

"You wanted it to be a secret."

“You agreed,” you remind him.

"Because I wanted to be with you anyway."

Your palm is warm on his chest when you gently push him a little to stare at his face. "You don't mind if people find out?"

You stare at each other for a few seconds before he's moving closer again, lips seeking yours but finding only the corner of your mouth when you turn away, giggling but still worried about the high probability of some of the kids coming in here out of nowhere and finding you two.

“I only care about you,” he murmurs, angling his head so he can kiss your neck. You sigh, your skin heating up under his attention.

Trying to think clearly, you take a step back and swallow hard. Steve places a firm hand on your back and pulls you flush against him, even closer than you were before. The side of your nose touches his and you blink.

“Steve,” you sigh.

He leans in and presses his lips down on yours for barely a second. “I want to kiss you in public,” he murmurs.

"Steve."

Another kiss.

“I want to walk hand in hand with you.”

He kisses you again, this time longer and sloppier. You're pretty close to melting, you're sure.

“Steve,” you say again, weakly. Your throat is getting dry, your heart performing all kinds of jumps inside your chest.

“Fuck, I want to show you off,” he smiles and you laugh, putting your hands around his neck and lifting your chin, hoping he notices you're expecting a proper kiss and gives it to you.

He notices, of course. But Steve only gets close enough so the two of you are breathing the same air, lips barely touching. “But if you don't feel comfortable telling people yet, that's fine too. I can-"

“Okay,” you cut him off.

"Okay?"

You kiss the tip of his nose lightly.

"Let's tell them," you say, grinning like a kid in a candy shop. "Let's tell them now."

AHH thank you so much!!! it’s going to be called If You’ll Have Me, and it’s currently slated for fall 2023! we originally planned for a spring release but had to push things back because of industry-wide supply chain issues, printing delays, etc... for a more in-depth explanation i found this twitter thread very helpful!

thank you so much! i actually planned to reopen my shop this summer but had to push it back because i’m so busy. i’m still aiming for the end of this year though! i’ve been in touch with a company that does store management and bulk fulfillment, so i’m optimistic. the last time i had to pack and ship everything from home and oh my god... how do people do this regularly. my deepest apologies to everyone who previously ordered from me because i realized there were so many ways i could’ve done better after the fact. keeps me up at night sometimes lmaO

general life update

i wanted to make this post three months ago but in a tragic turn of events, the one day i set aside to accomplish some personal tasks made a terrible mess of my plans 😔 the deadline i mentioned back then was for inks, so i’ve since moved on to color! i’ve been working in the morning, then coloring in the evening and through the night. it’s pretty grueling, but i’m trying to be good about stretching and resting because if my body disintegrates i can’t draw more gay shit and what then?

i feel like i’m doing okay, all things considered! i’m just tired mostly. god, i’m so tired...

this book has been my life for all of 2022 which is why i don’t have much else to talk about 😂 i have a big deadline coming up so i’m really hustling right now. i actually have to deal with packing and moving as soon as i’m done, so i’m not sure when i’ll pop up again! maybe late september, maybe october... we’ll have to see!

been living in korea for the last 10 years! moved to busan at the age of 12 due to his parents' jobs and they just decided to stay permanently

had little to no issues with adjusting to the move! him attending the school for teens like him, whose parents moved from jpn to kor for their jobs, aided a lot in the transitional period; he was surrounded by a language he knew and he fit in comfortably, lucky enough that his new friends helped him adjust, too. his parents worked a lot so whenever yuji was not at school or with friends, he was either studying or consuming various tv shows n stuff. overall a bright child -> teen since the day he was born and how does he do it i don't know but he has to teach us all!!!

present time yuji works at viva, as a bartender. enjoys the job even if he's standing all evening / night and socializing because he's quite extroverted and energetic, enjoys being arnd people + it's sort of grown as a safe space for him too. basically switched day for night. a vampire, if i may.

will shamelessly flirt for tips, or will be like, a therapist if he has to. always schmoozing boss to let him dj but he hasn't been really successful at it....

makes friends easily and will remain that 'oh we're friends still wdym' attitude even with someone he hasn't really been in touch with for whatever reason

(buzzing sounds) if i haven't done the math right please let's pretend i did but, character and concept design graduate

in the way of every designer, he's a free spirit and doing like fifty things at once :+) making posters, adjusting and sewing own clothes, screen printing shirts, making his own jewellery, if given the chance would even dabble in tattooing? bring out the stick n poke set! will try everything at least once because how can you know if you like something if you haven't tried it?

his true passion, however, is producing music; which is why i mentioned he wants to dj as well. yes he does have a spotify AND a soundcloud profile and together combined he has like 1.5k listeners... a rising star if you ask me! definitely has mixtapes ~published in both kor and jpn, even tries making samples for games... he really believes he can make it if anyone just gives him a chance (maybe he shouldve gone the auditioning route instead lol!) don't really have a style reference but he's talented in both flow of lyrics and music production itself

tiny shirts and baggy jeans are a staple of his wardrobe. like you won't ever see him in skinny jeans ever and if you do it's because he lost a really bad bet.. tries with his appearance because he wants to look and present himself nice; in a way, the children (yuji) yearn for the mines (harajuku). speaking of, baggy jeans went platinum in his head, alongside everything that kard has put out

aside the fact he's literally a #soundcloud_rapper and a #short_king another red flag about him is that cannot commit to a relationship for his life. or like, he can and y'all can be exclusive and going on dates and genuinely being a full on couple, but the moment the word boyfriend is uttered he kinda gets cold feet. there's an explanation for this but the onion hasn't been peeled deep enough x

however like i said he's an overall friendly individual, so he tries to stay friends with his exes :+)

currently living at the artists' share-house and... the spooky aspect of it doesn't really bother him? like yeah it's spooky but also maybe we are all just forgetful and that's the cause of everything and it's all just overreacting and ghosts aren't real. he's the girl who's going to be okay. also his side of the share-house room just might be the scariest thing ever cause it's so unbelievably messy

certified lover of cats will feed stray cats will buy literally everything if it has cats on it or it's cat shaped/themed... even if he realistically does not need it at all

as far as plots go, with the way his personality is i can see just about anything working out between our characters :) obviously fellow share-house residents and shenanigans that keep them scared of going to sleep or the typical 'who took this food container that obviously has my name label on it' misshap / connections made through the club itself like maybe yuji bothers your character to be taste tester for the cocktails he made up on the spot / usual club partners ordeal / (that tiktok audio) someone keeps bothering and bothering and bothering your chara so he steps away from the bar like jazz hands omg hi bestie we need to catch up / musical friends and collabs... or more antagonistic and someone who rips his demo for themselves... or even a h8r who thinks his attempt at music are corny... i dont really have a specific uni name in mind for him either but uni friends can happen too, maybe our charas gave each other some tutoring classes? thrift buddies... literally anything goes and idm filling in your wcs either 🫶🏻

natsume noticed how you’ve been isolating a lot, how you’ve been less and less creative, he noticed everything down to the smallest detail. he had been so busy, leaving almost no time to pamper you. but after everything was done? he was sure to give you all he could.

he finally finished everything he needed to do, and was more than happy to rush home to you but before he wanted to make a few stops, one to your favorite food place, then to a little store at the end of the street to pick up a small stuffed bear. he noticed how drained you looked lately, and wanted to make you smile.

when he arrived to your shared home and went inside he noticed how quiet it was, almost no noise besides from the almost silent sounds of moving in your bedroom. he walked in with food and bear in hand, taking note of the small lump on the bed covered by the blankets. he sat next to you and helped you sit up, kissing your cheeks before handing you the bear and the food he picked up.

“i knOW it’s not muCH, but I stilL wanted tO surprise yOU, you’vE BEEN working haRD lateLY and iM proud of yOUR progress. howevER, it sEEMS you’VE worked yourseLF to the BONE. yOU need to taKE care of yourSELF before othERS.”

you silently nodded along, enjoying the food and the softness of the bear in your lap. you couldn’t verbalize it now but you really appreciated what natsume had done. “i know, i’ve just been buried in work lately that i’ve become drained. thank you for doing this.”

he held your hand and rubbed your knuckles as he mumbled about having a talk with your managers to get them to take it easy on you for a little while. once you finished your food and put it back in the bag, natsume pulled you up and led you to the bathroom. he started a warm bath as you sat on the sink slowly kicking off the clothes you had on.

he put you in the tub and pulled up his sleeves as he wet your hair and started washing it. “natsume, i might’ve been feeling bad and dragging others down because of it but you don’t have to do this. i don’t wanna burden you or anything.” he started rinsing your hair as he spoke “you wereNT dragging ANYONE doWN, so doNT say thaT. yoU aren’T a BURDEN eiTHER. yoURE an aMAZING and LOVELY persON that deSERVES more recongnitioN.”

once the soap was out of your hair and you let natsumes words sink in, you felt yourself tearing up. he was afraid he had gotten soap in them before you reassured him that he didn’t. he wiped your tears and you felt your heart swell with love, his loving gaze, his careful and soft touches, his kind words, you needed it.

he let you cling onto him for a little while, letting you get everything out of your system before he finished washing your body. he got you out as he wrapped a towel around you and dried your hair, sitting you on the sink again as he handed you a toothbrush with toothpaste and letting you brush your teeth. while you were doing that he was setting out a comfortable outfit for you and multiple letters he wrote for you when he missed you.

that night you two did a lot more crying and a lot more cuddling than either were able to admit.

FLOYD i don't think i need to point out that floyd is very very overly excited he literally vibrates anytime he's happy such a tiepnisy so having a lover that does that too would make him SO SO HAPPY he'd be all akjqjajqjwhqhshqhha;;@+@+1+$+2;? and u two can vibrate and make microwave sounds together holding hands!!!!! floyd absolutely adores hugging and showering the people he loves with affection he'd adore the fact you like physical affection just as much as him and he would just casually come up behind u and squeeze u very very tight.

floyd loves spending time with you, whenever he's sad or annoyed instead of finding a quiet empty place to isolate himself he'll go search for YOU and then bring YOU to the quiet isolated place so he can nap in ur lap or sit on ur lap and hug u tightly hiding his face on ur shoulder, you calm him down so much it's so comforting to have someone who loves and understands him someone who's not afraid of him someone who doesn't judge him for his mood swings and someone who accepts him fully, he genuinely cannot imagine his life whitout you.

floyd would constantly be calling u petnames that are super sweet or super weird, he's always teasing and joking with you it's mostly super inside jokes too that only you him and jade (azul too sometimes) understand and you're always laughing when you're next to floyd and that is exactly what he wants, he lives to see your smile to hear your laugh and feel your body shaking when you're laughing so much that you start to cry and your stomach starts to hurt, you guys constantly have pillow fights and tickle fights it's very out of nowhere you're just there chilling w floyd on ur lap and all of a sudden BOOM pillow war :3 (somehow azul and jade got dragged into it and now there's an ambulance arriving soon and a passed out azul on the floor)

CATER he absolutely loves it when you hug him tightly and kisses his face he'll always laugh and then hug you back, it's basically your morning routine to do so at this point, cater has all the love languages that your search for, in the start cater was a bit closed off in a way that he was still afraid of sharing too much since the ppl he loves usually leave him behind but as time went on he started trusting you more and more, you're his safe place and he hopes he is yours too so he always make sure to tell you just how much he absolutely adores you, he's always praising and flirting with you but whenever you flirt back he giggles and twirls his hair like a teenage girl with a crush on a edgy boy named zack, cater's favourite part of the day is the tike he gets to spend by your side, u can bet this man will take you out on as many dates as possible he is simply so so happy to have you he wants to make as many memories as possible, when you're out you two take a lot of pictures, surprisingly most of them are not posted to cater's magicam who also hasn't been as active as before, cater says it's because he wishes to keep the photos to himself and himself only, it's always hard for him to choose which ones to post and which ones to keep just for himself since he loves them all but he's determined to do so, in those pictures cater doesn't even care about adding filters he thinks anything else would ruin the feeling of the picture, cater loves to hear you talk about the things you like he ends up getting so so excited too soon you're both just rambling loudly while laughing about completely random topics that change quickly when you two finally return to reality hours had passed by and cater will always try to convince u to either sleep over or let him sleep over, he just wants to enjoy more time w u :(((( no 8 hours is not enough the day has 24 hours he needs more at least 12....ok maybe 14....????

Scaramouche had left an hour ago some harbinger stuff he had to go do, you didn't mind although you were starting to miss your scara all you wanted to do was cuddle and kiss him

You decide to go lay down and watch some tv while you wait for him to get home, you open the door to your shared bedroom the door Creek's, the room is dark it looks a bit eerie, and for a second creeps you out but just for a second because then you look at your bed and see the cute bunny stuffy Scaramouche bought for you

It makes you smile and you go over to cuddle the stuffie, the stuffie was white and had a blue bow with long ears you still remember when Scaramouche gave it to you, you weren't dating but you like each other a lot it was 3 days before he told you, the thought makes you smile

You began to close your eyes and daydream about Scaramouche as you slowly start drifting off to sleep.....then suddenly you wake up to a soft kiss on the cheek, and you lazily open your eyes to the sudden contact, it's just Scaramouche "I love you so much" he says and walks away, you don't think he noticed you were awake

You close your eyes about to fall back asleep but then you have the sudden urge to cuddle scara so you slowly crawl out of bed with your stuffie

You see scara sitting on the couch reading something on a notepad, he sites back relaxed "hi scara" you walk over and sit on his lap "oh hello love" Scaramouche smiles happily to see you awake, you look up at him and lay your head on his chest, Scaramouche look into your eyes AHH HIS EYES ARE SO GORGEOUS you could get lost in them, you begin to feel a faint blush sprawl against your cheeks "your so pretty when you blush", you weren't expecting scara to say anything it makes you jump back a bit

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to go scare you," Scaramouche says apologetically "it's okay scara" you rub your thumb against his cheek and he smiles and leans closer planting a faint kiss against your lips, scara takes your cheeks into his palms and holds your face-up "danm it your too cute"

You can't help but smile at his words, you wrap your arms around his neck you feel so in love at this moment, you lean on and gently rub your noses together making scara chuckle a bit

You hum and slowly you place your hand into Scara's hair, it's SO SOFT AND JUST AHH, he moves back a bit his eyes widen and he blushes "i- um...my love...." W-what are you doing" he says nervously, you quickly let go of his hair you felt bad you didn't mean to make him nervous "I'm sorry scara" you get off his lap embarrassed not sure what came over you to do such a thing

With your head down you begin to walk away, your face flushed with embarrassment "wait" you hear scara say, you turn around and he pats a spot on his thigh gesturing for you to sit down, so you sit on his lap he kisses your and lays his head in your shoulder you look down at him he looks away from you his face full of embarrassment just like yours HE LOOKS SO CUTE EEEEEE

"I- umm... I liked when you did that" he says hesitantly, wait really you think to yourself "can you do it again please?...my love" his voice sounds sheepish and cute, you nod a bit stunned by his comment about liking his hair being touched

You slowly place your hands back in his hair, your fingers wove throw the strands of hair, the way the light reflected off it gave you butterflies it was so soft as well, a faint blush peppered across your cheeks you try and avoid eye contact with scara you're scared it would be awkward but ever so often you peek down at him, he's blushing a lot more then you are

You keep playing with his hair, the way it tickles your hands, the softness, the color, and that it was his hair just made the experience so much better

Suddenly you feel scara's arms wrap around you, you look down at him and he looks up at you, you both are blushing profusely and you see a faint smile begin to form "I love you cutie" scara says his voice calm and delicate

As far as my personal writing goes, because even counting rp that's the only thing that I can really go off of, I've started to love Pixie x Sommer, specifically in the 'standard' verse as well as their Omega variants in their Val verse. I'm huge on multi-shipping, even with my own characters, so truthfully an 'all time fav' is difficult to name.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

It kind of just depends? Anything more than 8 years will have me looking at things a little more closely, but it's muse + situation dependent, and my 'tolerable age gap range' varies depending on the age of the younger muse. General rule of thumb? 4-5 years for muses between the ages of 18-25; then the 8 year rule for muses older. But I also acknowledge experience and maturity is a critical factor in these sorts of things so... case by case basis at the end of the day.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?

i think a combination of ' the bikini rule ' and intent should be considered . ' the bikini rule ' covers , metaphorically , touches anywhere a bikini covers , so once touches start to be focused in those areas with sexual intent , i ' d start considering that nsfw . touching someone ' s butt as flirtation is nsfw , while jokingly patting someone ' s butt is more friendly , but still suggestive ? goodness knows i ' ve reached over and bopped a friend in the tit as a joke , with no sexual intent behind the move .

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?

I'd like to think not? When it comes down to it, I tend to let my muses take the wheel with shipping, and I'm typically open to it provided there's chemistry and past interactions to go off of. Heavy emphasis on established chemistry prior to bringing up shipping because in all honesty, I'm a little paranoid about accidentally forcing ships/writing my own characters ooc for the sake of one

As far as ocxoc ships go... Like I said earlier, Pixie/Sommer has got me in a chokehold lately... And as far as other, 'non-official' ships go with Pix and other ocs; gotta love going for Brook,

DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU?

Hard yes, without a doubt, both for my own personal comfort and for the sake of future interactions and the like. Very few of the muses I write here are 'easy to ship' for varying reasons, the most common being severe trust issues + emotional self isolation due to trauma and other factors. Some, like Wolf, Sommer and Phoenix, are violent and abrasive as a primary response. To put it simply; most don't play nice.

ARE YOU SHIP-OBSESSED OR SHIP MORE-OR-LESS?

I kind of just go with the flow? With writing and rp, I have the philosophy of thinking of threads and stories as a vehicle out on the freeway, and while technically we're the ones in the drivers seat at first, these characters we breath life into have free rein to take control of the wheel at any time on a whim, and sometimes you get kicked out of the car entirely and lose control. I love ships, don't get me wrong, but if it happens, sweet; and if it doesn't, I can live with that, sometimes ships aren't meant to happen .

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SHIP IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM?

None I'll admit to I'm a secret fan of König/Stiletto in cod and spitfire in animated young justice.

Just have a thread or two with me then shoot me a dm if you think there's potential for something! I promise I'm chill, I'm just awful about reaching out first (yay for communication related nerves), but trust me, if you think there's Something There, more often than not I'll be all for it.
