been living in korea for the last 10 years! moved to busan at the age of 12 due to his parents' jobs and they just decided to stay permanently
had little to no issues with adjusting to the move! him attending the school for teens like him, whose parents moved from jpn to kor for their jobs, aided a lot in the transitional period; he was surrounded by a language he knew and he fit in comfortably, lucky enough that his new friends helped him adjust, too. his parents worked a lot so whenever yuji was not at school or with friends, he was either studying or consuming various tv shows n stuff. overall a bright child -> teen since the day he was born and how does he do it i don't know but he has to teach us all!!!
present time yuji works at viva, as a bartender. enjoys the job even if he's standing all evening / night and socializing because he's quite extroverted and energetic, enjoys being arnd people + it's sort of grown as a safe space for him too. basically switched day for night. a vampire, if i may.
will shamelessly flirt for tips, or will be like, a therapist if he has to. always schmoozing boss to let him dj but he hasn't been really successful at it....
makes friends easily and will remain that 'oh we're friends still wdym' attitude even with someone he hasn't really been in touch with for whatever reason

in the way of every designer, he's a free spirit and doing like fifty things at once :+) making posters, adjusting and sewing own clothes, screen printing shirts, making his own jewellery, if given the chance would even dabble in tattooing? bring out the stick n poke set! will try everything at least once because how can you know if you like something if you haven't tried it?
his true passion, however, is producing music; which is why i mentioned he wants to dj as well. yes he does have a spotify AND a soundcloud profile and together combined he has like 1.5k listeners... a rising star if you ask me! definitely has mixtapes ~published in both kor and jpn, even tries making samples for games... he really believes he can make it if anyone just gives him a chance (maybe he shouldve gone the auditioning route instead lol!) don't really have a style reference but he's talented in both flow of lyrics and music production itself
tiny shirts and baggy jeans are a staple of his wardrobe. like you won't ever see him in skinny jeans ever and if you do it's because he lost a really bad bet.. tries with his appearance because he wants to look and present himself nice; in a way, the children (yuji) yearn for the mines (harajuku). speaking of, baggy jeans went platinum in his head, alongside everything that kard has put out
aside the fact he's literally a #soundcloud_rapper and a #short_king another red flag about him is that cannot commit to a relationship for his life. or like, he can and y'all can be exclusive and going on dates and genuinely being a full on couple, but the moment the word boyfriend is uttered he kinda gets cold feet. there's an explanation for this but the onion hasn't been peeled deep enough x
however like i said he's an overall friendly individual, so he tries to stay friends with his exes :+)
currently living at the artists' share-house and... the spooky aspect of it doesn't really bother him? like yeah it's spooky but also maybe we are all just forgetful and that's the cause of everything and it's all just overreacting and ghosts aren't real. he's the girl who's going to be okay. also his side of the share-house room just might be the scariest thing ever cause it's so unbelievably messy
certified lover of cats will feed stray cats will buy literally everything if it has cats on it or it's cat shaped/themed... even if he realistically does not need it at all
as far as plots go, with the way his personality is i can see just about anything working out between our characters :) obviously fellow share-house residents and shenanigans that keep them scared of going to sleep or the typical 'who took this food container that obviously has my name label on it' misshap / connections made through the club itself like maybe yuji bothers your character to be taste tester for the cocktails he made up on the spot / usual club partners ordeal / (that tiktok audio) someone keeps bothering and bothering and bothering your chara so he steps away from the bar like jazz hands omg hi bestie we need to catch up / musical friends and collabs... or more antagonistic and someone who rips his demo for themselves... or even a h8r who thinks his attempt at music are corny... i dont really have a specific uni name in mind for him either but uni friends can happen too, maybe our charas gave each other some tutoring classes? thrift buddies... literally anything goes and idm filling in your wcs either 🫶🏻

i'll start off by introducing my beloved muse, jungha! ex-almost-idol (newave 💔), current part-time tutor & delivery boy who's fluent in korean and ksl!

fluent in korean & korean sign language! both his father and older brother are deaf, so jungha communicates with them in ksl
really enjoyed music as a kid growing up and dreamt of becoming an idol. his parents, especially his dad was against the idea. they get into a large argument and jungha refuses to acknowledge his dad for weeks.
at 16, his mother passes away. he's devastated.
at 18, he auditions for a company and passes. his father is furious at him, and they fight yet again. they refuse to speak to each other, but only do so when his younger brother gets into big trouble at school. they communicate with one another and jungha's father finally laments, but he tells jungha that he will never truly support him.
he's a decent trainee! gets along well with the other trainees and staff and is known to be friendly and kind. they tell him that he's made the cut to join newave and that they'll be recording their pre-release song 'memories'. jungha is ecstatic. he feels like his dream is finally coming true.
he records memories, and thinks of how amazing it'll be once he finally debuts.
the dream is short-lived. he's pulled out of training one day, and it feels eerily similar to what had happened to him in school, the day his mother passed. the staff inform him that his father is in the hospital.
his dad is in need of a liver transplant, and urgently. he’d gone so long undiagnosed that even the doctors are surprised. jungha is there to sign the whole conversation, terrified by the information that he’s learning. his father had ignored his own ailment, had instead been working longer hours in an attempt to earn more money. jungha feels sick to his stomach.
the doctor explains to jungha that the fastest way to have his father go through the liver transplant is if either jungha or his younger brother decide to be the donor. jungha wastes no time to volunteering himself.
the doctor explains to him that he’ll have to run a few tests, but if the results come back as a match, it’s possible. but he also tells jungha that continuing the life of an idol trainee may be hard for the next few months.
jungha will have to drop out of his company, he’ll have to throw away his one chance at debuting. surprisingly, his father is against the idea. refuses to allow jungha to do this. “you can’t throw away your dream because of me,” he signs. but jungha is stubborn.
it’s fine, he thinks. he’s fine with giving up his dream.
jungha drops out of the company, leaving behind his dream of becoming an idol. maybe it was never meant to be.
the operation, thankfully, goes smoothly. his father never speaks of his idol dream again, but jungha knows that he carries a guilt that he can’t quite explain. he tells his father that it’s alright, jungha is happier this way too – with his father alive and well.
jungha is now a university student, as well as a part-time math tutor and delivery boy. his father continues making his monthly check-ups to the doctor, and jungha continues to strive for a better life.

I wanted to get something posted! First of all, hooray for opening! Secondly, I'd like to plot! Like that's sort of the main thing. I am totally willing to try and make Tumblr messages work if that's your preferred method of communication, but I'm definitely more responsive on Discord! I've got an embarrassing number of muses I'm bringing in and didn't want to make a thousand different intros to be totally honest, so I've got my first batch with some information below the read more, and I'll post for the second group over the next day or so! Yebai moved to Korea when he was a child after his mother remarried. His mother is great, and his stepdad is a sweetheart, but nevertheless, as the leftover kid and with a pair of younger half-siblings, he has always felt like a moon in orbit, wanting nothing more than his feet on the ground. He's done well enough for himself, going to school for graphic design and digital art and getting a foot in the door in the industry, doing jobs here and there on top of doing the art for an indie games studio, but he's never stopped wanting more friends and more validation and a little more adventure.
Plotting Points: Yebai is a huge NewAve fan, with a Twitter account devoted to posting chibi comics and occasionally more fully-rendered fanart of his biases. Tweets at least once per month about the two fancalls he's had with his fave. Once collaborated with a fansite to design a plush doll of said member. School friends? Or school enemies. Coworkers? He loves to go out into public and sketch scenes and people. Frequents cafes and parks. Very outgoing.
Hyeji was very nearly an it girl, placing second on a popular idol survival show in 2016. A rigging scandal brought her two year-old group (and a planned franchise) to an end, and for a while, it seemed as though her career had fallen victim to his as well for a time. Her company debuted her as a soloist, but they were ill-equipped, and perhaps hesitant to promote her. She languished in lack-of-release limbo for a few years, picking up a few bad habits in her downtime during overly long hiatuses. She's sober now, if only barely, and has in the last year or so signed to Canvas Labs after her contract with her last company expired. As she puts together her debut album, she's also in the process of piecing together her identity. She's not sure that she knows who she is, if not a party girl.
Plotting Points: She's fairly well-known amongst a certain demographic of young people (especially women) in their 20s and international Kpop fans and does a lot of CFs and promotions even though her musical releases have been scarce, occupying a niche somewhere between Sunmi and Chungha and Somi. Canvas Labs employees and idols. She has crawled half of the clubs in Seoul by this point. Exes? Situationships that got a little complicated? Friendships that got messy? Maybe more than that, if there's chemistry?
Katrina lives with her grandmother in Seoul while she attends school, aiding the increasingly less-mobile woman with her chores. Originally from San Francisco, her mother is the charismatic pastor-president of a luxe, modern church, and her father is a plastic surgeon. Growing up, she's known nothing but strict rules governing femininity, womanhood, and the role she was to play in the world if she was to be saved. Korea confuses her. Here, a lot of those lessons ring true, and yet, freed from the covenant eyes of her parents and church community, her previously well-defined sense of self, and of the world, has begun to fray about the edges.
Plotting Points: Volunteers at animal shelters and community food-security orgs semi-regularly. People she's met at school? Someone who frequents the same thrift shops and tea shops she does? Has tried to attend several different churches in Korea and been weirded out by each one. Has an interest in musical theatre and is secretly obsessed with a couple of 40 year old musical actors. Has done some modeling for random little clothing brands.

✨ hello, beautiful citizens of jongnorp! ✨ how the hell are ya?! my name's ryan (h/h, 25+) and i'm so thrilled to finally be posting one of my eight muses' (yes, i know... i know 😅) intros! first up is one of my all-time favorites, ezra park! he's currently working as an influencer who mostly creates fashion, lifestyle, social commentary, and makeover content, but he'll be expanding his résumé with exciting new projects very soon! 👀 below, you'll find a quick breakdown of his life, as well as bits and pieces of his personality. please 💖 this if you'd like to plot!
1.
to keep things simple, he was born and raised to a rather liberal family in queens, nyc. both his parents made good money, he felt very supported, loved, and accepted, and honestly speaking, he had a rather idyllic childhood. i've written this muse before, but in this update of him, i wanted to give him a less grim upbringing.
however, his brighter history has created new flaws. being that he grew up in a rather privileged environment, it's made him ignorant to many things, and upon moving to seoul, he's been hit in the face with plenty of life's harsh realities. he's on his own now (for the most, part, anyway—his older half-brother is also in seoul), he's starting a career for himself, and it's his first time in a part of the world that's dramatically more conservative than the safe haven he surrounded himself in back home.
is he losing his mind? sort of, but he's doing keep his feet on the ground. he'd love it if you joined him on this new journey he's on!

ezra park is a hedonist. he's someone who'll never say no to another drink, or a second slice of cake, or going home wrapped around the arm of a handsome someone. he's over-indulgent like that, and substantially sensual, as well. he's someone who will catch a man's attention by eye-fucking him across the room, then moments later, appearing only to whisper the most delicate compliment in his ear; hoping that the sweet scent of his breath and the feeling of it ghosting along the other's skin is enough to reel him in for a night of fun.
if there is one thing that ezra park values, it's beauty. why else would he host a show on his channel that highlights attractive men from around the city, mostly by giving them makeovers? why else would he be teaching people how to upgrade their closet with clothing that accentuates their best features? why else would he be interested in ensuring that he never leaves the house looking anything other than immaculate? however, he realizes that, like most things, beauty is subjective, and he aches to discover what others find people, too.
ezra park is an individual, much to the chagrin of his grandparents' home country. he's still not gotten used to the stares of his elders whenever he enters public transit, or the glares he receives from his peers when he's a little too "flamboyant" in a public space, but he likes to think he's learning how to comfortably coexist in a place that doesn't fully understand him. after all, that's kind of all he can do. he made the choice to learn about his heritage and expand his career by relocating, and it's a choice he has to live with now. at least for the foreseeable future.

ezra has a show on his youtube channel where he gives handsome men from around the city (often male models, drag queens, and less often men from off-the-street) to interview and give makeovers to. he asks them questions about growing up in korea, and the knowledge they have on queer individuals, and their opinions on certain topics. in addition to this, he also hosts queer people of korea to ask them, specifically, about their experiences living in the country; hoping to shed awareness on stories told by marginalized voices. these could work as connections!
he's been in the city since february of last year, so it's been around a year and he's likely made some friends! maybe they could be your muses?
he's also likely slept around with plenty of men. he's no stranger to jongtaewon, and even hongdae, so if your muses frequent these areas, they've likely ran into him or ended up in his bed.

hi there!! i'm bear (he/him) and i'm so excited to finally be able to introduce you all to my boy here, lee woosol! he's a 24 yr old personal assistant to the ceo of a tech company (definitely not his dream job), and a lover of stories and sweet things. here are links to his profile, and bio, and under the cut i'll leave some tldr info about him. please like this post if you'd like to plot, though i'll be messaging everyone with welcomes anyway!
woosol was born in seoul on aug. 31st 1999, he's the second son, but when he was 13 his parents accidentally had a twin boy and girl (that they most definitely could not afford to have)
he was class president multiple times throughout school until he was 15 when he had to get a part time job to help support his family who were struggling a lot with the addition of the twins
despite previously having been smart enough to get into a sky uni, and wanting to pursue writing and literature, woosol had to settle for a mid-level uni due to his grades taking a hit from having to work, and decided to do a business management degree in hopes that he'd get a better paying job to help out his parents with money
he struggled through military service (he's not the athletic type at all) and finished his degree and now works a boring office job doing coffee runs and filing
he hopes to 'work his way up the corporate ladder' and hopefully land a better job in a publishing house later in life
he's got a massive sweet tooth, and eats way too much ice cream and pastries
he has yet to be dragged kicking and screaming into the gym by his boyfriend but he's really close to cracking because he gets winded going up the stairs at work when the elevators full or taking too long
he still lives with his parents purely because he feels obligated to stick around and support them and his siblings, even though his older brother's moved out and doesn't seem to feel the same filial responsibility that woosol does
he's growing increasingly more stressed, and its taking a toll on his health, from living with his parents and siblings, and really wants to move out but feels really guilty about that
of the seven deadly sins he's either sloth or gluttony. this man loves to not move and eat sweets. if he could he would sit in a chair reading and eating rice cakes, pain au chocolat, cream bread and ice cream for all eternity

Biography.
Nam Jaemin, born and raised by his parents and older sister. He was raised as the baby and it can still be seen in how playful and expressive he is with those he is close with.
While he had good grades at school, always part of the top list of students, known for his athletics (Basketball, football, traditional wrestling, taekwondo) and artistic sides, anything the school or after school activities offered he took and he was good. He went into competitions and took trophies home. Basically the golden boy of his town, the whole package, good kid with good personality and good grades.
His childhood dream was never to become famous, he wanted to be a vet and have a shelter to help people find their special companion yet he couldn’t fill his dream.
He was a teen when he was scouted in a school play, ‘ Chunhyang and Lee Mong-Ryong’ playing the male lead and getting the attention of an acting company and due to his parents persuasion he agreed.
His first role came soon (though some believed it was due to his good looks), and it was a hit, a historical drama that became the sensation (think of Moonlight drawn by clouds) and soon he was flying to the biggest pedestal of acting, showing how natural he is and how he was meant to be acting with each role he picks.
Now he is a top actor in south korea, any drama he stars is a granted success, any movie he leads will get great reviews. He is the moment
Named the Nation’s ideal type and South Korea’s prince.
But fame comes with a price, even if he is all smiles on the inside he second guesses his life choices, what if I hadn’t picked up that card? What if I had stayed in gwangju? those type of questions roam in his mind more than he wants to admit, especially with how much of a private person he is and the media test his limits more often than not by trying to see that privite life of his making him ask himself if its really worth it.
Plot ideas.
Friends / Best friends.- The best friends Jaemin could ever ask for, they met and since then they can hardly be appart, their friendship is known by everyone in the industry and even the netizens know about the dynamic duo. (could be someone in the industry or not)
Dad mode on - He is a softie deep inside and they had made their home in his heart, he finds them cute and have put on him the dad mode on. He is protective of them and you can see how truthful it is when his chest swells with pride when they come into the conversation, his fatherly smile full on display.
I hope not. - A past relationship that didn’t end with the expected happily ever after, things got on the way and soon they were saying goodbyes with a bitter taste on his mouth. He loved her, he really did with all his heart, she was his first love and he is thankful for what they had. He can only hope she still thinks kindly of him whenever he crosses her mind.
One-sided love.- He is a softie even if his looks make him seem like the total opposite and they know it and has experienced his tender heart first hand and that’s exactly the problem, they had seen the real him, the softie with hopes and dreams and not only the great actor he is, the first love of many. They had gotten his flowers and they had felt his head on their shoulder as if that was it’s rightful place, hopefully one day he will realise it, right? To bad he is busy looking another way…
Love wins all: the person he is interested in the reason he is entertaing the idea of leaving the spotlight for a calmer life more and more. He had always been a hopeless romantic, dreaming of finding the love of his life and settling down, having a family...perhaps he found her. pls give me the jihye to his taejun. Sm:)e - Acting is not the only thing that Jaemin is interested in. He fell in love with photography and even has a full album from photos he took during his travels, of everything he saw and found beautiful and that's where your muse enters, they share the love for the same hobbie and they go to nice trips outside of the city to get the most beautiful views in the world, they keep each other company while visiting galleries and enjoy being by the side of each other.
Lion cub - Your muse is someone special to Jaemin, they came to him with the idea of learning to act or perhaps they met during one of his acting jobs while you were just getting a name in the industry, still he saw your passion for it and soon the two found each other exchanging numbers and tips, slowly the little lion cub that wanted to follow his steps became a friend.

LEE RIEL. idol (hi/fi 4eva!!!!) struggling with the spotlight who listens to sad girl music while staring out of windows and pretending she's the main character to cope.
a rundown of her background will be under the cut, and if you'd like to plot, please like this, and i'll im you (disc 🆗 too!)
attempt #1 at her debut is... laughable. it's 4 months after she joins her first ever company, and her little 13yo ass with zero coordination? not a chance! it's a good learning opportunity if nothing. she's cut, and moves on.
#2 is just tiring. 2 years, give or take, of juggling her training with academia. her parents, both professors, aren't exactly happy that she's got this silly little distraction, but she's an angsty little 2nd year middle schooler, so they let it slide on the condition she doesn't let her grades slip. the debut lineup's ever-changing and never actually debuting.
#3 is quick and dirty--- she's transferred to a subsidiary of the company, realises she's not a good fit for the concept, and takes her leave to focus on school. mom and dad are over the moon-- if she's able to get into a foreign language high school while doing this idol nonsense, just imagine what she'd do with her full focus!
takes her csats... lives her life... develops her frontal lobe slowly.... and then canvas auditions are announced. she's free this saturday, anyway, so why not kill some time?
when she passes, she mulls it over for a week. brings her decision up over dinner, and her mom flips the table over. they come to a compromise: she'll just try it out one last time, and when she fails, she'll start uni the next sem. take it as a gap year.
except she DOESN'T FAIL!!!! after years of training and very nearly giving up on being an idol altogether, riel debuts as hi / fi's vocalist & visual. absolutely not a dozen ok!!!!!!!!!!!... don't call her that... she's sensitive about it....
born to act cute n kyuuuuuu... forced to be part of hag line. pour one out for riel.
cons of debuting with a slightly more developed brain: more retrospection. is this really what she wanted. she could've gone to a good university. become an english lecturer. instead she's talking to sweaty 40yo men and fighting off dating rumours whenever she looks sideways at someone.
so that's where she's at: absolute misery. she loves being on stage and her members, but has awfully complicated feelings about it. let's yap abt it

his family is pretty ordinary despite them being sort of rich considering his dad is the ceo of an architecture company and his mom a famous graphic designer, but just weren't much of the parental type.
so when taeho is born out of an accident, they don't know what to do with him but they at least try (not very successfully) until they get tired of that too and taeho is mostly left to his own devices since a little too young.
things don't get better when his younger brother is born as the apple of his parents' eyes, a child that came when they actually wanted one and used the excuse that he was born with a sick body to give him more attention than to taeho (but then things didn't change when his little brother got healthy later on).
so he learned how to be an adult a little too soon and how to look after himself; surprisingly he doesn't really resent neither his parents nor his brother for it and he does love them dearly, would die and kill for them, even if the relationship with his parents is still awkward at best.
was (and still is) a good student with good grades and as much as he just wanted to chill throughout his school years, he still ended up class president more than once and almost if not all of his group assignments he ended up as the group's leader because at the end of the day he's very critical and methodical about things, esp academic work, so he ends up taking charge just so things will be up to his standards. he also has very dependable vibes so people end up relying on him a lot too so in the end he does end up in positions of leadership even if the i in his mbti wants otherwise.
characteristics that he carries with himself to this day. hence why new semester is yet another broken promise that he'll just chill in group tasks and agree with everything.
moves to seoul for university in a way to try to escape the awkward environment that seems to linger whenever he's in the same space as his parents; besides daegu isn't a city that he necessarily sees his life being at so expanding his horizons to seoul seemed like a good idea.
receives an allowance from his parents but still works part time at a cafe to earn money and use as little (if at all) the money that he gets from his parents, deciding to use it only for extreme emergencies.

classmates ! someone who loves doing projects with him because taeho does most of hard work anyway or maybe someone who doesn't like doing projects with him because you two end up always bumping heads due to difference of opinions and no one is too willing to give in.
rent-a-boyfriend ! someone who is in need of a fake boyfriend for whatever reason (introduce him to their family so they'll be kicked out left alone / impress their in a relationship!friends / they joked about having a bf and missed the timing to say it was a joke so now they have to keep the lie up, etc etc) and for some reason taeho ends up being your guy.
coworkers at cheongsudang cafe ! someone who tease hims for the way he doesn't have exactly the most friendly of the faces even when he's serving costumers (but he's still known as one of the cute servers); someone who sees him off work and is completely off guard when discovering that he has a full sleeve of tattoos since he usually has them covered for work, is also very surprised by the piercings too since they assumed he just didn't seem like the type.
regulars / costumers at cheongsudang cafe ! maybe someone that he sees almost everyday and they always order the same thing so ofc that he's going to memorize their order; someone he realizes might not be having the best day and he's feeling particularly generous so he decides to get them a little baking good on (his tab) the house along with their coffee; someone who sees that he's having a bad day and tries to buy him coffee or whatever instead and as much as taeho appreciates it, he can't really have anything on the clock (but with some insisting, he'll def keep it for his break).

born november 18, 2002, lee hyeon is the only son to a catholic priest & a schoolteacher :~) talk about a set-up for failure…
the earliest chunk of his life is fine—obviously his parents are more than willing to take care of a baby, but the older he gets (and the busier THEY get), hyeon’s pretty much left to his own devices. as a toddler, his parents take turns pushing juice boxes into his hands and making sure he’s occupied by the tv; by the time he’s ~12ish, it’s a “here’s ₩10,000 to get some food after school, we’ll be home late so don’t wait up” type of deal probably 4/5 nights a week.
he doesn’t care, really; or at least he doesn’t feel like he does @ the time. he has some friends that he’s really close to, so he fills up his time with those friends rather than worrying about his parents—until he can’t anymore. by the time he’s turning into an angsty teenager, he thinks a lot about his family situation & how his dad is out there “serving the community” but failing to serve his family and how his mom wouldn’t know his favorite movie if asked, like… these things chip away at a person!!!
it doesn’t help that his parents kind of have a “business” r/s; not really in love like they were once upon a time, just staying together because it’s easy (and it would be shameful for a priest to divorce—plus, in the catholic church, he wouldn’t be allowed to remarry so long as he stayed a priest) but anyways… hyeon didn’t have a good example of filial OR romantic love in his early life, which resulted in him being emotionally unavailable and having zero respect for his parents 🤙 oh yeah!
his life is like this: church services on sunday / pretty much no interaction with his parents any other day of the week unless it’s thru sticky-note messages around the house / go to school half the time, skip the other half / waste time with his four best friends / play league of legends all night / daydream of being a rapper like… obviously a very fulfilling life
anyway i’m really not trying to make y’all learn every minute detail of hyeon’s life story here so i’ll say tl;dr he got really into rap/making beats around 13/14ish, started a yt channel w his friends at 15, had a joke song go viral on yt that same year which kind of made him realize how starved for attention he was/how much he really WANTED to rap??!? / applied and got onto season 3 of high school rapper at 16, placed 3rd, signed with canvas labs the next year and consequently dropped out of high school to focus on music/training and ultimately severed his ties with his parents like… he obviously didn’t have time for church anymore/the desire to go and him turning his back on the catholic church AND dropping out of school??!? spitting on everything his parents stand for fr fr
worked part-time as a mechanic’s assistant while he was training, up until newave started prepping for debut—in this time, he got really into cars, got his driver’s license & then got into racing; super into racing go-karts!!! he still does some side work for his former boss from time to time for pocket cash: uses this money to support his love for designer clothes mostly or buy shit for his own car, which is a 2008 mitsubishi eclipse spyder that his former boss gifted to him (was a piece of shit at the time, required extensive work and is still a pain in the ass unfortunately)
as of march 2024, is a (somewhat) newly debuted idol—does not take it particularly seriously, and it’s not his career end-goal. ultimately he wants to produce a bunch of music for the group (and potentially for other groups), get rich off royalties, drop the group and return to the “real” rap/music scene… u know how it goes… selfish selfish man!
all in all hyeon is literally just some guy with a chip on his shoulder. he views other people as disposable, so he doesn’t care to get particularly close to anyone—but even if he does, he’s a pro when it comes to burning bridges & never looking back. if you have nothing to offer, hyeon has no interest; and if he has no interest, he won’t fake it. a lot of this is just a result of him having to be independent from a young age & (ideally) something he will grow out of in time :~) very hot and cold type of dude: might be nice to you, might not, and it’s always up in the air as to what side of him you’ll get 🤷♂️ but even at his nicest, he’s pretty rough around the edges—tough love is his speciality!!! will do anything for a laugh (or just for attention lbr), bitches & complains constantly but will still do what’s asked/expected of him, shows that he cares in quiet ways like carrying your bags/luggage or ordering a large fry for u instead of the regular like… he will not be caught dead doing any sappy/sentimental shit but if you mean anything to him he’ll never forget a thing u say…. he’s a villain fr but maybe he can still be redeemed.
other trivia: was a smoker for about 6 years, recently switched to vaping but is trying to quit completely because It’s Unbecoming Of An Idol (re: management caught him a few too many times) / was active in the underground rap scene for a little bit before he joined canvas labs, was never well-known ‘cause u know… he was like 17… but he went by the name sweendakk and still has a soundcloud profile under that name / as a celebrity, has a very loud, goofy, rambunctious & mischievous persona—all of his shit-talking and impulsivity is sanded down into something endearing (or at least halfway palatable) for the sake of selling an image; kind of whiplash when you meet him irl and he’s really just a jackass / king of pacing. catch him furiously walking back and forth at your local grocery store / used to be really into weight-training, currently is on more of a cardio kick—regardless, he’s a healthy guy & much stronger than he looks / catholic guilt but i’m sure you saw that coming / dishonest, will tell you a blatant lie straight to your face KNOWING that you know it’s not true. a shameless man with not much to lose. aiming to change that. there we go…

head’s up that i love extensive plotting—this is not at all a requirement & i’m also down to just jump into a base idea and see where it goes!!! but!!! if you’re like me and you love to yap about every little detail!!! i will never tell you no!!! anyways…
naturally, one of his close friends from before he was an idol. ideally this would be someone born around '00 to '03 who was generally up to no good as a kid/teenager: hyeon was shit at showing it, but he lovvvveddd this person and still thinks fondly of them despite having cut them (and the rest of the friend group) off when he signed with canvas labs. thinking he might be reaching out to them again soon, so let's hope they haven't changed their number...
that one member of hi-fi he’s trying to rizz up ‘cause no way you’re gonna have hyeon living right beside a girl group and not expect him to cause problems… i’m open to discuss any/all details of their dynamic, but my idea for this is that he’s initially interested in her for very shallow reasons but ultimately she ends up becoming a muse for him (causing him to write songs such as this and this that he shares with her, but doesn’t actually release until much much later in his career when he ought to be leaving her name out of his mouth) and is someone he has every element of a relationship with without actually dating her—but in these early days of newave & hi-fi, there’s still an understanding within the groups that she’s “hyeon’s girl” but it never actually becomes something and in the end she cuts it off ‘cause hyeon can’t/won’t commit to her… wasting this poor girl’s time fr fr... all i'm saying is we're at the perfect time of the year for them to have a summer fling
various meet uglies because hyeon's a menace to society. your muse has the same workout schedule as hyeon & he's sick and tired of them hogging the one (1) working treadmill, your muse is also a celebrity (preferably someone with a higher profile than newave) and hyeon mistakes them for an employee at this appliance store where he was sent to buy a new microwave for the dorm, you bring your car in on the one day a month hyeon happens to be helping out at this mechanic shop and no way you've got an idol telling you your car is a piece of shit (as if you don't know that already) (is this a fever dream?), your muse is buying laxatives or lice shampoo or some other embarrassing item and hyeon's trying to rizz them up when they really just don't want to be noticed at all, alternatively hyeon's trying to rizz your muse up while HE'S buying something embarrassing and they can't take him seriously because of it, etc etc etc... if you have any ridiculous ideas PLEASSSE send them my way! i love these types of things!
i already know hyeon's putting those nda's to work... your muse is/was a fan so hyeon had a relatively easy time pulling them, talked a bunch of shit about how they couldn't reach out to him anymore/needed to delete his number but he's the obsessed one now (never meet your idols)

dylan hwang, born june 14, 1997 in santa monica, ca, usa to a rock musician/producer/blue collar worker father and a hairstylist mother :~) dylan was their first and only child and he was absolutely cherished. his parents were deeply in love, and you could tell that dylan was a product of that—a very bright, happy, confident kid who took after his father in particular.
he had an interest in music from a young age and would frequently accompany his father to his band’s practice sessions and/or studio recordings; but he didn’t only think the music stuff was cool, he also admired how hard of a worker his dad always was and how he still made time for his family and never seemed tired like…… the most he ever complained about was a headache. in dylan’s eyes, that man was a superhero!!!
also has an uncle (on his dad’s side) who’s cool as hell too; owned a record store in queens and babysat dylan often when he was little and both parents were busy. cool cool guy
but he had a harder time connecting with his mom as she was the more practical adult in his life—very much “good cop/bad cop” and unfortunately she was the bad cop, LOL. making dylan let her cut his hair whilst his dad encouraged him to grow it out, lecturing him for climbing trees in the neighborhood, no sweets before breakfast type deal like… she wasn’t evil AT ALL, just irritating sometimes lmfao
anywayyyy… TW CHRONIC ILLNESS, DEATH / when dylan was 14, his dad went to see a doctor for the aforementioned headaches he’d been having; this turned out to be a series of growths in his brain—he passed away within the same year / END TW
tl;dr dylan lost his dad in 2012, and it turns out his dad was the glue that was holding him and his mom together as well; rather than grieve and heal together, an irreparable distance grew and it definitely didn’t help that dylan was 14… the most evil age ever??? was extremely unkind to his mom, made her cry a lot, the house was silent most of the time with them even learning to have their meals at separate times
dylan really leaned into music more than ever around this time, and even more so once his mom realized she couldn’t pay the bills on her own and needed to go back to south korea and live with her parents for a while; dylan was extremely americanized by this point and didn’t speak korean on a native level, so he felt isolated as all hell in seoul—luckily his uncle richie moved to seoul along with them to stay close to dylan so at least he wasn’t stranded in unfamiliar territory with no one who he felt like he could lean on
his mom’s parents gave her a small loan to start her own salon in jongno-gu and richie relocated his music store to the nakwon musical instrument arcade, where it still is today; needless to say, they adjusted surprisingly quickly and, in a way, dylan felt like he was the only one still grieving and consequently was being left behind (which is not true but yk he was an angsty teenager)
had a lot of sadness and frustration with nowhere to go, and from about 15 to 18 he was a problem child :( picking fights, treating the people around him like shit, getting kicked out of school, etc etc
but around 18 he got a very humbling reality check and has been striving to be better ever since/striving to be someone his dad would be proud of—his relationship with his mom is still quite complicated because, like i mentioned before, he ended up getting kicked out of school which was NOTTTT cool… eventually got his ged, but. should not have happened that way. and she’s consistently asked him to pursue something other than music with his life as she doesn’t want to watch him waste his life chasing a pipe dream, but that remains the only thing that he really wants to do; he does help out at her salon on occasion and she talks about how she wishes he would come on full-time so they could spend more time together and she wouldn’t spend all day worrying about him, but 🤷♂️ he really doesn’t want to cut hair for the rest of his life. mostly nice to her now, but never gave her a proper apology for the fucked up shit he said to her before/the way that he treated her, and is still prone to lashing out when she gets on his nerves—familiarity breeds contempt type vibe.
after he was kicked out of school, he started working for his uncle richie at his music store as a sales associate; is still there to this day, but has job-hopped quite a bit over the years… richie always takes him back when he inevitably quits or gets fired. nowadays, he’s operating as a sales associate/instrument and record player repair tech/halfass assistant store manager like… what does he not do? he acts like he owns the place.
started a band in 2019, tentatively called both haze and through the haze (sounds like: silica gel, thornapple) depending on who you’re asking. a psychedelic rock band with a bunch of random ass influences; slow start, but they’ve been gaining a fair bit of traction recently. not quite known internationally, but most people in the jongno-gu area know the name and they play shows in the area often, as well as being invited to perform at independent rock festivals throughout the year. still…. the band’s not paying the bills, so 🤷♂️ they can’t quit their day jobs yet…
here he is now: a 26 (almost 27) year old man still doing the same shit he was doing 5 years ago, seemingly at a standstill in life. personality-wise, he’s very kind and humorous—forever trying to make up for the jackass that he was as a teenager, feels the best when he’s making people smile or laugh. treats everyone he encounters like they’re special to him in some way, “because they are”. much more intelligent than he’s given credit for, but lives as a piece of comedic relief instead of letting his skills (beyond music) show. absolute party animal, can outdrink anyone and can go for hours; hosts a lot of afterparties following haze’s shows, so stop by if you’re looking for a good time. a candle burning at both ends, but if you don’t look too close, you can’t tell; has an alcohol problem, but 🤷♂️ claims that it “comes with the territory” and “is no big deal”. friendly, well-meaning guy who never made peace with his grief and has to be fucked up to feel good, and no matter what levels of success he reaches, it never feels good enough. like i said before, he treats people like they’re special but fails to maintain meaningful relationships as he runs from commitment in any form and wants to know a lot of people a little bit rather than know a few people really good. lonely lonely man.
plot ideas
i always say this, but: i love extensive plotting, so if you're trying to discuss all the little details and build a strong storyline together, i'm your girl! however, i'm also 100% game to get a loose idea together, jump in and see how it develops. that said, here are some small ideas:
naturally, dylan's band members. the band has been around since 2019, but the current members do not have to be original. if/when these spots are taken, i would like to get together and discuss the band's dynamic as a whole as well! currently seeking: bassist, lead guitarist, drummer.
a friend around dylan's age (born '96 to '98 ideally) who he met when he first moved to seoul in 2013. they've been friends for 11 years now, so this is someone who knows dylan better than anyone else in his life, and his #1 supporter but also his biggest critic - they see how toxic/unhealthy his behavior is and call him out on his bs, which quite frankly scares him LMFAOOOO so maybe there's a little distance between them now that's never been there before? let's figure out the details together
musicians who often come to spins & needles for things like guitar strings, picks, cords, various music equipment, etc etc... connections he's made this way who don't have their own band, but sometimes fill in if a member of haze is unable to play a show? connections who DO have their own band and sometimes open for haze or vice versa? jam session buddies, young/budding musicians who think dylan's way cooler than he actually is, someone who just really loves music and drops in to chat the shit with dylan.
an ex-girlfriend, probably someone introduced to dylan by his mom as she used to frequent his mom's salon. they dated for a while, but dylan wasn't serious about her/wasn't willing to settle down at the time while she was wanting a partner who could be husband material. sorry!
a random ass eclectic friend group... people who have absolutely nothing in common with dylan, but they have a great time together anyway.
party friends, and ultimately, bad influences on each other - constantly pushing each other's limits, waking up with gnarly hangovers and doing it all again the next night. perhaps these are friends who dylan will grow apart from throughout his development as he tries to steer away from drinking, but that's a bridge to cross in the future!!!
let him have his christopher wilde (from starstruck, for those who don't know) moment... someone who doesn't like him/has been talking shit about how he's "pretentious" or whatever and now he's fixating on making them change their mind. "you don't like me? but you don't even know me.. i think... i think if you knew me, you would really like me" monologue type beat.

hello, hello, hello! just me, ryan (h/h, 25+), returning to you again with another muse of mine. this one is someone a little newer to me, but he's a character i'm excited to write and get to know more. his name is itō takumi! originally hailing from japan, he relocated to korea in middle school and has lived here ever since. at present, he's studying child psych and education at skku, and is the secretary at the (secret) lgtq+ alliance. keep reading below!
1.
he was born in osaka, japan, and though he has a lot of love for his home country, the memories he has from osaka aren't exactly the greatest. sadly, itō takumi was a victim of bullying by his peers. he's small, he's meek, he's got buckteeth, and back then, he wore the hugest glasses—ones that made his face/head look much smaller than it already is. he's mousy, and he's shy, and extremely studious. with kids being as feral as they can be, he had no chance.
in middle school, his dad accepted a huge job offer from a tech firm in south korea, and the entire family relocated when takumi was in middle school. starting over was something that excited him, and once he landed on korean soil, he wished for a brighter life, but instead, learned that people are cruel everywhere. though, for some reason, it was easier for him to make some friends in korea.
nowadays, he attends classes at skku, plans on becoming an educator in the future, and hopes to be an advocate for kids who are bullied at school. nothing would make him happier than making sure the voices of shier kids are heard. he feels as if it's his goal in life to be there for kids like him, especially since no one ever really stepped in to help him during his roughest days.
2.
takumi is an exceptionally gentle soul. there's nothing he loves more than being helpful, and he devotes his life to assisting everyone he loves in solving their problems. he's nurturing, and sweet; he's the best giver of advice, even if he's never experienced certain things; he'll always give you a big hug if you need it; he'll help you with your homework, or he'll help organize your closet, or he'll take on any favor you ask of him—taking it to heart in a way that shows he deeply cares. this, though, only happens whenever a person gets to know him. some say he comes off rather timid, but once he feels secure, he unveils the many layers of his personality.
among them is a signature snark. while he's helpful and kind, he's no stranger to playfully criticizing a friend. he wants everyone to be better than they currently, including himself, so a little chiding here and there is typically how he expresses this. he's motherly, after all. it may be annoying to some, but despite his young age, he's often the friend who (s)mothers everyone else.
sometimes, he can be a little gloomy. maybe it's sick of him, but he loves to spend his downtime at home watching sad movies, reading sad books, listening to sad music, or even reminding himself of sad memories from his past. it's not because he's a masochist, rather, it's that he loves the wilted. he loves the downtrodden and marginalized. he loves seeing and hearing their stories of triumph, and redemption, and reliving his own. it reminds him that, regardless of the odds, a person is capable of facing any obstacle head on and conquering it.
overall, he's a sweetheart; a boy whose sole purpose in life is to do good, and be good, and help other people be good, as well. all he hopes is that people appreciate his efforts.

calling all students of skku! takumi would love to help you study, or he'd love your help getting to know the campus, or he'd even love becoming your friend if things work out. he's rather studious and shy, but he's easy to talk to if you're patient with him.
his mother owns a café in jongno (location coming soon...) that specializes in creating absolutely adorable bento box lunches for people. she also makes beverages with stunning latte art, as well as other baked goods and treats. takumi works p/t at her shop when he's not in class. maybe your muse is a frequenter of the café? maybe they're a coworker of his? we can work something out!
as he's been in korea for awhile now, he likely has friends from high school kicking around, as well as former bullies that used to give him a hard time. anything with some sort of history would be incredible to discuss. as he's a 2005 liner, something like this would make the most sense if your muse was in that general range as well, but!
maybe you're a friend he's made that watches romance dramas with him. it can be a routine. you two get together every sunday to catch up after a long week of school!

1.
robby was born in san diego, ca to a single mom. he has an older brother, too, named jamie. the three of them struggled to stay on their feet for a very long time. his mom was kicked out of the house when she became pregnant with her first-born, and her life hasn't been steady ever since, but she's always worked hard to support her kids. robby gets his work ethic from her. he remembers being mind-numbingly bored at every restaurant his mom worked at to keep their lights on, and he also remembers seeing other kids at his school have way more than he did at the time. from an early age, robby began to view life as unfair, and it manifested in a lot of anger.
he was a hellion. he fought with a lot of his peers, ended up in the principal's often very often, and eventually, got expelled from school. however, around the same time, his mother married a really nice guy—someone who genuinely came into their lives and totally changed it, all for the better. gael was the father figure he needed, and gael's family embraced robby with open arms, as well. what's more is that they were all patient enough to support robby in getting help for his anger issues.
later in life, despite presenting himself as your typical dirtbag alt boy on campus, he discovered a passion for dance. it was first mentioned to him by his therapist as a way to help calm him down; to get in touch with his body in ways that weren't violent. in his opinion, dancing is really what saved his life, and he knew that he needed to do it for as long as his body would allow him to.
with passion and grit, he auditioned for canvas labs and is now a member of their first boy group, newAve. he may be the youngest of the lot, but his personality's not for the faint of heart. overall, he's young and figure himself out; fucking up and learning from mistakes as days go by.

robby han is still a hellion. he's just gained better self-control, at least when it matters. for those who know about astrology, he's a scorpio stellium to the t. mars is also in house 1, making its effects even stronger upon him as an individual. he's combative, and aggressive, and cunning, and passionate, and obsessive, and strong, and sensitive, and everything that encompasses the scorpion, but with a touch of beauty, romance, and balance—a libra venus.
every time i write robby, he cracks me up. he has this way about him that's provocative, shockingly so even, but it's also so cheeky. there's a wink in his tone, a teasing one that lives to taunt and fluster. can he take things a little too far sometimes? yes, and he often does, but he's usually a good sport about people expressing their discomfort with his frequently pervy jokes. sure, he might roll his eyes at you and call you a prude, but he'll stop going there with you. he'll respect that, and he'll even respect you for standing up for yourself like that.
there's a dark side to him, though. he is vindictive, and quarrelsome, and competitive in a way that makes him ruthless when it comes to any competitor. he was likely highly volatile and focused as a trainee, but loosened up once he secured his spot in the group. he's not one who'll refrain from mind games as a self-defense mechanism. as a lover of control, he has no issue controlling other people.
if you're on his good side though, he is fiercely loyal and protective. he's a ride-or-die friend, one whose love is intense and fiery, and as mentioned, it's not for the faint of heart, but it's unrelenting and powerful regardless.
however, if anyone of his loved ones ever betray or burn him, he becomes an exceptionally toxic enemy. you've been warned.

the thing about robby is that he doesn't want a lot of idol friends. he'd much prefer creating a network of "normies" who he can be himself around. he's new to the city, but he does try and get out. i'm shocked he hasn't had a clubbing controversy yet, but to be fair, he's very good at keeping himself hidden. maybe your muse is one of these "normies." he'll appreciate whose "human" and who keeps it real.
robby loves debauchery. he's a bad influence himself, but also appreciates those who are bad influences on him, too. he'd love some partners-in-crime to be debaucherous with.
it's no secret that he's a bit of a "freak" if you know what i mean. he's likely had some recent flings, and some fwbs, etc. he's got needs and he's gonna take care of them. if your muse is his type, this is an option, too.
he'd love other americans/foreigners as friends, too. he has a hard time fully embracing his korean heritage because he didn't really grow up celebrating it. being that he was so close to his (step)dad's family, who are mexican-american, he connects more with them on a cultural level. having others around who speak english and/or spanish would make him feel much more at home.
being as intense as he is, he's likely made a lot of enemies, too, especially in the entertainment industry. that, or even at fan-meets. he's not one that delivers great fan-service. he's called a "savage maknae" by fans because he's cutting and often cold. maybe your muse and him got into some sorta fought. anything's possible.

last but not least, it's me bear (he/him) again, here with my final muse intro. this here is ahn dohyun, an absolutely beloved muse of mine who, despite having existed for years at this point, i've never gotten to write. he's a 23 year old music teacher at an international school. he's passionate about music, good literature, his family and friends, and baked goods. here you can find links to his profile, and bio. under the cut i'll leave some tldr info about him. you know the drill, please like this post if you'd like to plot!
dohyun was born the 3rd child to an eventual family of 7. he's a twin, though he and his twin brother are pretty different. that didn't stop them from being inseperable as children though. even now he's still exceptionally close to his twin, and he's one of teh very few people in the world that dohyun will ever complain to.
he had a very normal, though slightly poor, youth. with so many kids it was pretty hard to make ends meet, but it never bothered anyone and they all made do. they were always reminded that many people had much, much less than they did
[ tw: parental death ] at the age of 10, his mother fell ill, and wanting to spend what could be her last years with her own family, they moved to seattle, usa where she got intensive treatment that inevitably didn't work. when dohyun was 14, his mother passed away, and shortly after that they moved back to seoul [ end of tw ]
dohyun took on a 'motherly' role in the family after the loss of their mother, despite having an older sister. he was naturally much more nurturing than his siblings and found that looking after them helped him deal with his grief. he also turned to music much more during this time and would play his mothers piano to feel close to her
he sought a lot of comfort in his old best friend who he reconnected with after he got back to seoul and managed to find his happiness again
his grades took a slump around the time of his mothers illness, and passing, but he managed to climb back up to near the top of his class by the time he graduated high school. he went on to college, taking a break midway through for military service. he studied music education with a minor in korean literature, and after graduating in late 2023, he landed a job teaching music at an international school that would begin at the start of the new school year in march 2024
along the way, he and his childhood best friend fell in love (or perhaps that happened even before dohyun moved away; he'd never been quite sure) but they began dating shortly before high school graduation, and though his enlistment came with some bumps in the road, they're still together and he plans to spend the rest of his life with him
dohyun is a gentle giant. while he's gotten pretty 'buff' since his enlistment (he kept up with his exercise after discharge) he'd never hurt even a fly. he's entirely too selfless sometimes, but can be a bit stubborn (almost has a bit of 'mother knows best' attitude)
loves baking and eating baked goods, and appreciates a good hot drink, whether it be tea or coffee, or something else
definitely the kind of teacher who's never seen without a flask of tea or coffee

it'sa me, bear(io) (he/him) here with the saddest, most depressing muse you'll ever meet (only joking) han saem! he's 21 year old funeral director at his family's funeral parlour. he's eeyore, but also hides his emotions super well so you'd never actually know he's suicidal. here you can find links to his profile, and bio. under the cut i'll leave some tldr info about him. also, please like this post if you'd like to plot!
saem has had a stick up his arse since he was a child. he's always been very 'prim and proper'. he hated getting dirty in any way (still does) and was very particular about his clothes being clean and ironed
he's always wanted to be 'perfect', in his schoolwork, in his attitude, in his extracurricular activities, and in his responsibilities as a son
he was class president often, but didn't have may close friends due to his stiffness. other chilren found it hard torelate to him, or get close to him, but didn't dislike him as he was always kind and willing to help
he got straight A's, and took piano and ballet classes, though the ballet was something he was nervous to ask for, given it wasn't typical for boys he knew to do ballet, but was something he'd seen on tv and was so drawn to. he loved how perfect the dancers were
he knew from a young age that he had a terrible flaw he must hide from his family forever, and that was that he didn't have any interest in girls at all, but desperately wanted to kiss a boy in his class on the cheek and hold his hand
[ tw: suicidal ideation ] from his early teens he had planned out his life. he'd marry a woman who was pleasant enough, that he could hopefully be friends with. he'd provide her with a child, and then once he'd set up his family well and made sure they were okay, at the age of 30, he'd throw himself off banpo bridge. he just didn't seen any point in prolonging his suffering past that age. he'd done his duty by then [ end of tw ]
once saem left high school he immediately took up a position at the family funeral parlour, doing most front-of-house business. he was able to figure out exactly what a deceased person's family member needed when talking to them, and so he was put in charge of any public-facing business
now, with an income, saem filled the horribly, festering hole inside him with things. he'd buy expensive skincare products and clothing, though never so much that he got into financial difficulties; he was careful. but he did spend rather a lot on things that would make him momentarily happy
he also began to frequent nightclubs, have one night stands with men who merely knew him as 'han', and then return to his 'real life' the next day as if nothing happened. he knew he couldn't date a man, but he could at least enjoy some momentary pleasure to keep him going until he had to marry
suffice to say saem is deeply miserable inside, and perfectly poised and charming, albeit a little stiff, on the outside. he smells and looks great, but it's almost akin to the slight sweet hint the scent of a decomposing body has. it's just hiding the horrors.
