hellooo!! congrats on 1k! your writing is absolutely amazing and you definitely deserve the followers <3
for the event:
1. i took silver's hand first, cause i rlly liked maleficent and silver is pretty, and he seemed nice. (and i was right. silver my wonderful boy)
i don't clearly remember why i switched, i'm pretty sure it was just because i wanted to read all of the character's home screen lines so,,.
2. afterwards, i hopped from character to character, kalim, jamil, whoever's lines i wanted to read, and now lilia is the one who's on there most of the time. but i want a little romance story and i am not romantically attracted to lilia!
the only other characters that i switch to are the tweels, it's up to you which one to write, just pick the one you think will make the story more interesting! (or both?)
3. jade and floyd are one of, if not the, most interesting twst characters. i just love their personalities and how they interact with their surroundings, their designs are amazing, they actually remind me of myself sometimes, and i also just really love eels, and marine biology in general. i just wanna crack their skulls open and poke around their brains!
4. silver and i would get along magnificently, romantically or platonically. but there's just something about him that's so !!!! i don't think i couldn't fall in love
5. me! i'm very reserved, preferring to listen and observe rather than talk or do. and though i try to seem confident and eloquent, i'm a bit awkward with social interactions. despite this, people seem to relax in my presence.
strangers and acquaintances describe me as put-together, intelligent, and friendly, but quiet and reserved. once you get to know me, i'm a very confident, honest, and bold person. i love joking around and bantering. my friends describe me as funny and eccentric, but mature and reliable. i'm honest with people i'm close with, often to a fault, and i may be too harsh with my jokes. i'm always putting others first, but i know how and when to stand my ground. i have trouble showing emotion through my voice or body, but if you look closely, you can read my facial expressions.
my main hobby is visual arts, but i also enjoy singing, playing different instruments, writing (songs, poetry, fics,) and taekwondo. i don't do them very often, but i like physical activities like running, hiking, and anything swimming! my interests are marine biology, chinese myths and history, and anime and manga.
6. i'd love to be in a harem with both my og and new character. i'd like my story to be angsty to fluffy fluff. i struggle with cptsd (from childhood abuse) and depression, so you could use that for angst if you'd like, but i totally understand if you don't. whether i go poly or the ending is left open, i don't mind!

A Tale Where Silver gets Some Sense knocked into him by the Boy of his Dream's Boyfriends
The twins were dating you. You'd told Silver before that they were fine if you dated him too. The twins understood…and they would one hundred percent be willing to share you if it meant they got to experiment with get to know Silver. 
But Silver knew that the boy from another world was destined to leave. He'd heard his father talk about the people who'd come and gone in his life and had watched his face show his true age in those moments. It would be easier to let you go if he stayed away. 
And he was doing a good job staying away. Watching from afar as the twins dragged you from place to place, as you smiled and laughed with them, watching them cling to you like ivy to a wall. 
Sometimes you'd see him watching from across the hall and would wave at him with a light hearted smile. He'd wave back, his cheeks getting pink at being caught staring. 
He was doing well staying away until today. He'd slowly noticed chronic drowsiness getting worse. One minute he was walking down the hallway, the next he was awake with your arms around his middle as you tried to drag him out of the walkway, and the twins fought off someone who he had to assume was upset that he was blocking the hall.
"I'm up, I'm sorry," he muttered, despite feeling himself drift off again.
You looked at him in concern, then said, "Do you think you can walk? You can sleep in Ramshackle for a bit. It'll be quiet since Grim is in class."
He wanted to protest, but the world around him was starting to fade, so he nodded, and allowed you to wrap his arm around your shoulder as you began walking towards your dorm. 
When he woke up again, you were humming while gently running your fingers through his hair, massaging his scalp.
He couldn't help but stare up you, allowing himself to give into the moment until you noticed he was up and stiffened. 
"I….sorry I should have asked permission to touch you, but you were having some kind of nightmare and it helped you calm down. I'm sorry."
"No…. it's nice," Silver hummed, before remembering he shouldn't get attached. He sat up and stretched. 
He got off the bed, and gave you a polite bow.
"Thank you for taking care of me. I'll be on my way."
"Oh, okay," you seemed sad, but he knew this was for the best.  So he left the dorm before the sadness could catch up to him.
                                   ….
"Hey Jellyfish, you're supposed to be a knight, right?"
It was three days later, and Floyd and Jade had plopped down in the chairs across from him as he was studying in the library. Both of them looked a little angry.
"Yes, why…"
"Our boyfriend did something nice for you, which means you're supposed to pay them back, right? You know, code or something."
"Oh….I"
"What my brother means," Jade cut in, smiling lightly and placing a calming hand on Floyd's shoulder, "is that he's a little put out that you made our 'Shrimpy' sad."
"Look…I…."
"We told you we were okay sharing Shrimpy!" Floyd burst in again. "So why do you keep pushing him away? It makes him sad. Even if you don't love him…"
"Which it's obvious you do…" Jade added pointedly.
"At least go back to being his friend!" Floyd started slumping in his seat. "I'm so annoyed at you that I don't even wanna talk to you anymore."
Jade looked at his brother for a minute before sighing.
"May I ask what the problem is?"
Silver bit his lip, then looked at the two irritated twins. 
"Well…I…"
Jade raised an eyebrow and Floyd humphed but that was the only response he got.
"Aren't you both a little worried about what happens when he goes home?"
The twins shared a look then turned back to Silver.
"Should we be?"
"Well the headmage is…"
"Like crow brain would ever do anything productive."
"And I'm sure they have friends who…"
"We're their friends."
"And their family…."
"Have you ever discussed this with him?" Jade said, covering Floyd's mouth before he could cut in with yet another response.
"I…no…but won't it be harder for all of us when he leaves."
Jade looked at Floyd thoughtfully, before removing his hand from his mouth. Immediately, Floyd burst out,
"Shrimpy's not close to his family! He made his new family here, you silly brainless jellyfish!"
"Deep breaths, Floyd," Jade said, not expecting the outburst to be as loud as it was.
"No! No deep breaths! He should know!" Floyd practically leapt across the desk as he grabbed onto Silver's blazer. Silver had to fight every instinct in his body to draw his blade in defense.
"Shrimpy had a rough childhood. He doesn't super miss his old world, especially since we can give him as much love and affection as he could ever want. Now, go kiss and make up, before I wreck that face that he loves so much!"
Jade did nothing to help Silver extricate himself from his twin's grip. So Silver gave a soft nod, and stood  up slowly.  
"I'll talk to him."
"Good, let's go!" Floyd stood up, and wrapped himself around.
"Wait…"
"Yes, let us proceed. I believe our beloved boyfriend is in his dorm."
"But…" and Silver made the mistake of looking into the twins' eyes and seeing their threatening gazes.
"Okay, let's go," he sighed.
                                  ….
He was a knight. He had trained for worse. He could have a conversation with you about his feelings. Even if the twins were there he could….
As his eyes fell on you writing in a notebook, he felt his resolve fail. The twins must have felt it too, because it suddenly felt like they were pushing him forward. 
When he was five feet away, the twins let go and each placed a kiss on one of your cheeks.
"Hey Shrimpy!"
"-Hello darling."
"Hi boys," you said looking up, when you made eye contact with Silver. "Oh, hi…here have a seat!"
You seemed so excited to see him, it broke his heart a little bit. Maybe he should have just talked to you in the first place.
He sat down next to you and steeled his nerves.
"I like you. A lot. But I'm scared."
"Of the twins? They're okay with it, and they both promised me they wouldn't bite you…"
"Unless you asked!"
You shot a withering glare at Floyd as he giggled.
"No. Not the twins. I've fought off worse and can handle it. I'm scared of when you go home."
"Oh," you stiffened. "I…I don't think you really have  to worry about that…."
"We tried to tell you jellyfish, now stop making shrimpy upset!"
"No, it's a valid discussion Floyd. His feelings are valid," your eyes found their way back to Silver's and you gently took his hand in yours.
"Silver, I don't really plan on going anywhere. Yes, not everything was a problem back "home" but I've made a life here. I have my friends. I have Floyd and Jade. And…well I have you. You guys are everything to me. I never have to worry about anything with you three."
Silver sat in silence for a moment, searching your face for any dishonesty or doubt. But you looked certain. He had to wonder what things were like in the other world. But he could dig into that later. For now, he had to atone for his sins. 
He knelt before you, pressing a soft kiss to the back of your hand. 
"I have hurt you, and would like another chance to make it right, and prove my merit as a potential lover."
"Silver-"
"No I wanna see him beg," Floyd cut you off, giggling happily.
"No he doesn't have to…"
"I've hurt you."
"Silver! Don't-"
"He should beg. Floyd's right."
"Jade!"
"Please, allow me to…"
"Enough!" You shouted. All three boys went silent. You helped Silver to his feet, and kissed the tip of his nose.
"Silver, I've told you many times you are always welcome to join us. There's no need to beg.  You're fervor is admirable, though, so any pain you have caused me is behind us."
Then you glared at the twins.
"And you two are in timeout."
"WHAT? WE'RE THE ONES WHO MADE HIM COME HERE!"
"No, Floyd, it's alright. We can make up for lost time later."
They each pressed another kiss to your cheeks, one eel more grumbly than the other, and left you alone with Silver, who was starting to realize how tired he was.
"Silver," you smiled fondly and patted your lap. "We're together now, you can rest on my lap if you want, I don't mind."
Silver laid down, stiff at first, but then your scent started to comfort him.
"I have to apologize to myself as well, I've missed being around you," he whispered, before speaking up again, "Can you hum that song and massage my head for me? I…"
He blushed and you laughed.
"Of course."
You started humming and running your fingers through his hair. It was the first nap of many where Silver would actually feel safe and well rested.

I'm drawing Kakashi for the first time (as much as I love them, I rarely ever draw naruto characters so this is a little fun and new for me) and I'm struggling a little bc I'm trying to draw him relaxed, reclining with pakkun (in the way I recline with my cat) and I'm realizing there's something so personal abt drawing him in such a vulnerable pose ig. Like? I'm very tired too rn so maybe I'm being extra emotional and rambly but there are so few scenes of kakashi in canon where he's not wearing the jounin vest, where he's alone and relaxed and out of uniform. And I didn't realize it until I was trying to think back to other similar scenes and there really weren't any. and I'm kind of mesmerized by how you draw him because you capture that so so well, your art is gorgeous but it's also so real and expressive in a way that shows a lot of practice and a lot of love. Idk i think I've said this before and I'm sorry if it's annoying that I'm saying it again (I'll just shut up after this lol) but I went to an art school and I had massive burnout and only really started drawing again in the past 6 months and you were one of my inspirations 2 start drawing again and I'm still not as good as I'd like to be but I draw so much more now and having an actual passion for art has led to a huge improvement, so thank you and thank u for bearing with me and my sleep-deprived rambles. I think my original point got sidetracked. I forgot why i started writing this ask.

djhsdkjghsdkjhg thank u for all the compliments abt my art, i do work really hard in order to draw expressive characters, and spend a lot of time paying attention to how the small details in posture and expression change how the character comes across, and im glad it pays off!
also yeah no, similarly, once i left art school (when the pandemic hit) i did have a good 6 months where i did not pick up the pencil even once, and like, usually i feel rlly bad or guilty when i'm not drawing, but my burnout was real bad and i was straight up angry abt everything dgkjhsdgkjh so i just...didn't draw for like 6 months. i didn't even feel bad about it bc i was too busy being angry
and i had a bad relationship with art at the time and eventually realized i kind of had to like? make a different relationship with art—like, try to stop seeing art as something which gave me fundamental worth as a human being, or part of who i am? you know? that's a LOT of pressure to put on just...something that i do. if i took that kind of approach to literally any other task in my life, i'd never do it. imagine thinking that the way and style with which you descend the stairs gives you your worth as a person and if you don't do it exactly right then it means you're worthless as a person? buddy i'd just find a way to go down and out through the window LMAO
i think this is the thing which gives a lot of people burnout, it's exhausting to be constantly working on something and ALSO believe that if you fuck it up even a little, it's because you are the fuckup, and a fundamental failure of a person. god thats so much pressure.
anyway so i decided to make a naruto art blog because i don't even like naruto That Much but my best friend had been trying to get me into it for years (ty kate ilu kate), and so any art that i made would be purely for fun, wouldn't have anything to do with my self worth, and might make kate laugh too, and that's why this blog exists! and taking the pressure off of creating art like that has been enormously helpful to my mental health and my ability to create, also i take breaks alllllll the time, i'm like...way healthier about my art thanks to that, and also just...a nicer person, i think? anyway i'm very glad that i inspired you to get back into art but i'm far more glad that you've found a passion for it, cultivating that passion and joy is so important

#a lot of the way i approach art is bc i worked with kids for a while and like. u can kinda tell when a kid is at the breaking point w/ art#where they're like ''if one more thing goes wrong i am going to Lose It''#+ at that point as a ''teacher'' u have to pick between giving them critique on their artwork to improve OR letting it go + saying their#art is good and they're doing really well#and i always pick the second one—LIKE. once the kid is no longer feeling soooo frustrated abt their art that they're at a breakin point?#THEN we can talk critique. and even then i will still tell them what they're doing well#until theyre at that point tho its all ''yeah!!! you're killing it! look at these new skills you're learning! look how you're improving!''#''look how funny/beautiful/exciting/cool your piece is!!!!''#because first and foremost. i think that art should be enjoyed#having creation as a friend and ally vs A Duty is sooo important#TO BE CLEAR LIKE. this is also still technically a form of critique#i dont just say ''good job champ! great work doing art!'' if u wanna compliment art and have it mean something you do have to be#specific about what is good...not ''that looks great!'' but ''wow you draw really fabulously detailed noses!#or ''wow the fashion you're drawing is really cool—i wish i had that jacket!'' like.#as in all things. compliments and praise are only meaningful if they are /meant/ and you cant fake that#MY POINT IS. if we want to take the pressure off ourselves with art. i think we also gotta treat ourslves like this#look at what we're doing and compliment things we genuinely think weve improved upon. love our successes#nothing better for the ego than to compare new art to old art and look at what weve changed#i should do some redraws at some point#my jutsu

hi:’) i hope you’re doing well today. i just discovered your account and it’s been rlly interesting reading up on it. while going through them i came up with a question. thing is, i feel so sad all the time. no matter what i do it just never changes and i don’t know i guess it’s just kind of upsetting yet comforting? like i want to change but i also don’t want to bc i just, don’t like change so i’m like stuck :/ and also, another thing is that i steer away from love (romantic). i can easily give it out kinda? like i love helping them in their time of need, giving them comforting/reassuring words, etc. but i just can’t fully give them what they want, like i can’t commit. it’s like i like them but i don’t? it’s honestly so confusing and it sucks because then they tell me i don’t actually mean what i say and that "actions speak louder than words" LIKE i get it but it’s just hard for me to express what i feel and stuff because i myself don’t even understand it. and well point is, i was wondering if maybe my chart has anything to do with both of these situations. my sun is in Taurus, moon is in Aquarius, rising is in Taurus, mercury is in Taurus, venus is in Aries, mars is in Aquarius and MC is also in Aquarius. hopefully that’s enough info... if you need anything else pls lmk i’m so desperate to get answers </3

Ah I apologize that you feel that way. I would reccomend possibly looking for things or something that inspires you maybe try something new, go on walks, find a new hobby. Try to keep a postive mindset, it gets better with time.
Of course a number of factors could come into play. Though I would definitely say from what you’ve showed me of your chart it could be of influence or manifest in the way but it doesn’t have to dictate over you. You seem to have strong Earth and Air energy specifically Taurus and Aquarius. Taurus is a fixed sign and could be why you may feel stubborn to change or feel like you cannot change and get out of the feeling. Taurus energies within your chart could also manifest as you not wanting to change. With the Taurus placements and Venus in Aries could manifest as you being able to give your love out (and that’s a great thing but making sure it’s the right perosn and a good person is important). Taurus engeries (sun, ris., mer.) and Venus in Aries could be why your actions can align with wanting to help and show you care the Aquarius could be why you may not feel its all come together inside though and just feels like your just doing it to be doing it and not knowing if you really want them. The Aquarius is a fixed sign as well, the placements (moon, mars, etc.) could manifest as you not wanting to fully commit or feeling like you don’t want to, you may think if you were to commit you would be letting go of your freedom, or maybe you feel that your not ready for a relationship, or subconsciously feel or know the perosn is not the right one for you. All the fixed energies with your chart being specifically Taurus and Aquarius, can manifest as feeling like you can’t openly express your feelings and emotions with others. Don’t let people tell you don’t mean what you do or say esp. if you do mean it or least are trying to figure it out for yourself (telling people upfront that it’s harder to express how you feel can show honesty(or least how you feel) towards to them, the situation, and yourself though if they aren’t being understanding or don’t understand don’t dwell over it and don’t force yourself to open up, take your time), the saying ‘actions speak louder than words’ sometimes they do but sometimes it can be interchangeable sometimes ‘words speak louder than actions’, and I would say finding the balance between the two is best if that makes since. I would say that it’s ok if you don’t feel your ready to commit to relationship yet, taking the time to grow and work on yourself to be the best version of yourself for not only your partner but for yourself as well is important. It’s ok not to be ready just work on yourself for as long as you need to until you feel and know your ready. All these engeries and placements within your chart are beautiful and great placements or least can be they can manifest beautiful and will for sure (all placmetnets are great, none are bad). We all have our personal struggles but don’t let them get the best of you.
Don’t let sadness be your friend or be of company to be comforting, because you’ll be and can be happy even if you don’t feel like it yet, you will and can, you already are. Surround yourself with the utmost best, encouraging, and positive people. Let go of things or people who are bringing you down, judging you, or making you feel like you have to question yourself or your actions. Just know you don’t have to change for anyone but yourself. Know that just because someone may say your not giving enough or think your not trying, their perception doesn’t define you and you can be and do your best on your own regardless. I think change is good or least it can be. Change can lead to growth and new opportunities. It does take time I know but trying to can help. I’ve noticed its easy to feel stuck sometimes so do I as well, you just have to carry a good mindset, keep doing your best or least trying, take care of yourself, and be the best you can be and it will all come together some way some how. If your struggle with talking to close ones about it take it slow and gradually get there when you can in the meantime I would recommend journaling your feelings let it out, write down pinned up energy and the way you feel why you feel that way. It helps. Express yourself whether it’s through art or some new activity, try something new. Do whatever brings or makes you happy, I know there’s something and long as it’s good for your well-being lol. Maybe get out and about sometimes motion helps with emotion. Carry faith and trust in yourself always. Get support if you need, again I’m always here if you want to talk.

hi!!! first of all i adore your art so much!!!! like daddy jesus, it gives me life. u draw rlly good poses, so maybe u have some tips? or any good places to find references cuz i can only find pretty stiff looking pictures and thats sad :((((
Tips! Yes! I have those, since it’s a thing I’ve always struggled a lot with too, so I ended up hunting down and hoarding tips like an artist dragon with fancy pictures of gold - disclaimer, even though I know of these tips it doesn’t necessarily mean I’m good at following them. Because I’m a mess. SO! TIPS!
 - When trying to decide on a pose, try to picture the whole action behind it instead of just the single instance! If we were to talk in animation terms, I’d say try to picture the whole sequence instead of just a single, specific frame of it. What is your character doing? Picture in your head the whole movement, and then pick a frame that’s smack in the middle of it - this is because generally the stiffer moments through an action are the beginning and the end of it, so drawing the middle will give your pose a lot more life! If you’re unsure about exactly which moment of the action would work best, draw thumbnails of a few different “frames” of it and pick the one that flows best for you
 - Related to that, when looking for references generally I prefer looking for videos instead of pictures, specifically to get a better sense of how the whole movement flows and where it would be best to stop it. In the same vein, I’ve made a habit of at least partially always keep an eye out for body language while watching movies/tv shows/cartoons&anime, because while real life is just as much a good source of reference as anything else, actors and animators tend to exaggerate movements to make them more captivating and eye-catching, and that’s what we’re looking for when drawing too! It’s all in the drama of it, look for the drama
 - “A real life person wouldn’t do that/move like that/bend like that”, that’s okay, this isn’t a real life person! Exaggerating the shapes and lines is a good way of increasing the flow of your pose, as long as you don’t make it grotesque then pushing on the shapes and curves is always a good idea! Unless you meant to go for grotesque, in which case push all you want, who’s to stop you. In this specific area action lines are your best friends, so if you feel your pose is stiff or lacks life, try finding the action line in it and push it more - you can find a lot of youtube tutorials on action lines and gesture drawing, in case you want to look more into that! Only god and my youtube history know how long I’ve spent doing just that
 - Talking about youtube, if you want to work on your flow a good way is to try out the one minute figure drawing exercises - they give you a pose, you have one or two minutes to sketch it out depending on the video, then it moves to the next pose. It’s a good way to loosen up your lines, in my experience! This is a nice playlist for that, in case you wanna give it a go!
 - Rewinding a bit and going back on body language, if you want your pose to feel alive and be realistic while at the same time conveying a specific mood or feeling, maybe you’ll want to look into how people express themselves through body language! I always see this suggested to writers to set the mood without explicitly stating the emotion, but it’s a wonderful tip for artists too the way I see it (mostly so if you’re drawing a comic, actually!). A good list is this one, give it a skim!
 - More than a tip it’s a trick, really, but giving a prop to your character can help make the pose more interesting - there’s only a finite number of things a character can do standing alone by themselves with nothing to occupy them with, an object or an animal or a second character to interact with really do make finding an interesting pose easier!
That was a lot of theory there, wasn’t it, let’s go for some practical tips too (featuring Horikoshi’s pencil sketches, because I love them and he’s very, very good at this whole posing thing)
 - If you picture your character as standing in an open space and the eyes of the viewers as a camera, moving the camera around them to find an interesting angle adds a lot of depth to the pose. It can be really, really tempting to just draw them from the front and eye level, but sometimes even just raising or lowering the camera the smallest bit helps with giving the drawing life - perspective! I know, I hate it too orz but we’re working hard to overcome that problem, because look at Horikoshi’s latest Kirishima sketch!

so alive! So beautiful! The pose in itself isn’t all that special, but the angle he decided to draw it at sure helps give him life. A thing I do often is to draw a thumbnail of the scene I’m trying to draw from the most boring angle possible, to make sure of where everything is, and then metaphorically move the camera around to try and find a more interesting angle to portray it from - it helps! At least, it does for me haha
 - Keeping it asymmetrical makes the pose dynamic! Let’s look at Toga over here

Her legs and arms are an obvious example of this, but specifically I marked for you the hips line and shoulders line to show you how they aren’t paralel either, because that’s a little thing that’s generally a good idea to keep in mind when you want to give a bit more of movement to your posing! It’s true in photography too, actually. If you want a full body selfie to look good, try keeping shoulders and hips on non-paralel lines, it makes the whole thing look a lot more professional 
 - Keeping that Toga pic as our set example, hair and clothes give a lot of movement to the pose too! If you draw someone in the middle of an action, their clothes and hair are (possibly, if the clothes are loose enough and hair long enough) going to move with the action too - they show the direction of the motion, so keep that in mind when drawing them. Additional tip! If your character is just standing still, wind is a thing you can always make use of to give a bit more movement to the whole set-up!
 - It’s a good idea to keep all the noise in your pose on one side, to give it a bit more balance and make it less chaotic - let’s use Jirou here as our example

the lines on the right side are a lot more simple and straight than the ones on her left, as I tried to very roughly mark for you - all details and “noisy” bits are all on the same side too, so that your eyes can easily focus on what’s important in the pic without getting lost all over the canvas. Balance and asymmetry! Again! It’s an easy way to make poses interesting, after all!
 - That said, it’s not like you can never keep it symmetrical - the human brain actually likes that symmetry a whole lot, finds it compelling! It has to be perfectly symmetrical, though. Let’s look at Bakugou, because why not, always a good time to look at Bakugou

if you drew a line in the middle of his face and down his body, you’d see he’s pretty much perfectly symmetrical - that’s nice! That works! ...why does it work, though? This goes a bit more into composition and less into posing, but this has to do with the rule of thirds: generally and very simply, the rule is that for a picture to be well composed it needs to be set so that the main focus isn’t smack in the middle of the canvas. Some examples with the pics I just posted up there!

The way the bodies are positioned and the way in which the empty spaces are used respect the rule of thirds pretty dang neatly, and that helps make the pictures look less stiff too, between the others things! It gives balance to the whole composition, and makes it more lively! (The reason why it works with Kirishima is that the focus of the drawing is less him as a whole and more his face and right fist - so very neatly positioned! I’m in awe, ngl)
Bakugou’s case is a bit different thoguh, and that’s why the symmetry works there!

when you want to go for the symmetrical look you sort of need to forget about the rule of thirds, as far as I’ve been thought - symmetrical means tidy, and it’s only really tidy if it’s symmetrical based on a line traced right in the middle of the canvas, so Bakugou’s center is right along the median axis, and his pose works even if it’s pretty stiff, by all means.
(this goes into the rules of making a good portrait work, actually, but the lack of empty space all around him helps with keeping it looking well composed and tidy, too. There’s a lot of little tips and tricks that help make a pose work when it comes to composition, really!)
(Also, to be fair this last bit about the rule of thirds wasn’t exactly necessary or particularly well explained, I’ll be real, but while browsing Horikoshi’s twitter I realized how neatly all his sketches follow the rule and I needed to gush about that for a sec, it’s how being a fan works haha hope it was useful at least a bit to you, though!)

Name (preferably include how you came up with it and why): Kazmal Nepila
I think Kazmal can stay because it sounds like a change from “Kamal,” a name which means “perfection/excellence” in Arabic and “lotus/pale red” in Sanskrit. I think it’s fitting both because tailoring means fitting something with precision and because you’ve written a character who is defined to an extent by his pale red relationship - his moirallegiance.
For the last name, how about Halgus for hallux valgus, another name for bunion, which is a sneaky reference to a tailor’s bunion which was commonly developed from tailors sitting crosslegged while they worked and developing joint deformity in their pinky toes. Also fitting because he is in a situation in which the nature of his work for his moirail is causing him strain and deformity in his self.

He uses his horns to ram his victims (they jut out front and point. They kinda act like blinders on a horse but they are very sharp and pointy)
I like it as a concept but I feel like if we wanna tailor (heh) his bio a little more closely we could go with needlekind? And if we wanna play into him being a purpleblood he could have a chucklevoodoo doll that he uses as a pincushion and could weaponize against those his moirail tells him to kill.

I don’t know that he seems like a Dersite or a Hope player. As a blind follower who would rather reshape himself than reshape the world around him he’s a definite Prospitan. For his aspect, I think we could reasonably swing Space, especially since sewing and the like is so intimately associated with physical manipulation in Homestuck.
Trolltag: none yet tbh
If we wanna go GCAT maybe greatCouturier? I assume a lot of his work is for fellow purplebloods since Alternian trolls generally think fashion is stupid and purplebloods are like…the only caste that wears patterned fabric? This trolltag would indicate his status in society but also seem insufferably frou-frou to most other trolls, making him a likely target for harassment.
Quirk: he doesnt use any capitalization. even when mad. he has committed to having almost a monotone kind of tone to his typing.
Special Abilities (if any): does tailoring count?
I think I wanna add the chucklevoodoo doll to his abilities given that purplebloods gain abilities from being in the juggalo cult.
Lusus: :00 a bull head on a rhino’s body, actually
In general, purplebloods live near the sea and have lusii that can presumably exist in some form both in and out of the water. I like the big grey thick-hided aesthetic, so how about a manatee with a rhino head? You could also have him wrap thread around his dad’s horns either for sewing assistance or as a way of showing his dad he loves him. You could still keep the theme of isolation this way, too; purplebloods’ lusii are more likely to be out at sea. They can’t pursue their parents since they’d be encroaching on seadweller territory, and they have no way of knowing if their lusus has been culled to feed Gl’bgolyb.
Personality: he is a blind follower. Hes manipulated by his moirail to murder other trolls, trolls in castes lower than him that she couldnt get away with so she can cook them. She acts like she cares but then will shut him out. But he clings to the relationship because he feels like thats all he has. He has hope that this will all turn out good for him and her. He keeps a stoic expression and thus paints on a face to make it seem like he is smiling. But he isnt really. He seems void of all emotion but in reality hes just really good at hiding them. He likes to make things for his moirail to show his compassion (even though she never wears or uses said things and sometimes throws them away right in front of him)
I think this has a lot of potential! First off I’m very intrigued by this cannibalistic moirail of his, but second off, I want you to expand on his relationship with her! As a reminder, a moirallegiance is not necessarily akin to being a best friend; it’s a partnership with the very specific purpose of each troll balancing an imbalance in the other. Now, this doesn’t mean that every moirallegiance is healthy; while we saw Nepeta and Equius as the platonic ideal of one, we saw plenty of examples of kismesissitudes and matespritships that devolved into something sinister. This can be a really good example of that if you answer the following questions: what does Kazmal think he’s getting out of this? What is it about this relationship that makes it an unhealthy moirallegiance rather than merely an unhealthy friendship? What imbalance does he think his moirail corrects in him, and what does he feel he gives to his moirail?
As an example, how does Kazmal feel when his moirail throws away the things he makes? Does he view that as a critique of his work? As encouragement to work towards getting better? How does he view her requests to murder other trolls? What does he think he’s giving her? Does he feel he’s protecting her from something? What is the imbalance he thinks is being corrected, and how does he envision the “perfect” version of this moirallegiance? Answering these questions will tell you a lot more about Kazmal’s relationship.
Interests: tailoring :0 this man loves making clothes!!! Even if he isnt so good at it he still loves doing it. He made his own!! He is currently working on his ultimate clown suit for when he has to inevitably fully commit to this clown juggalo cult aesthetic thing. He also likes to ram his horns into things like trees or punching bags with his lusus for fun.

Man given Homestuck’s history of Pages as gentlemen who try very hard and get pushed around by the people they care about, I think this dude is for sure a Page of Space, which would eventually make him incredibly powerful. It especially fits with his being a not-yet-great tailor whose moirail throws his stuff away. Also, because the Robin Hood outfit would be funny to stick a tailor in.
Land: idk rlly
Land of Rips and Frogs (LORAF). I like the idea that he’d have a planet that was extremely broken and full of ravines, and that his job as a Page of Space would be to mend these enormous rifts in order to advance to Echidna (and would make frog hunting harder, though not impossible).
Dream Planet: Prospit
Aha, so here you say he’s Prospit. Good. We’re in agreement here! Which makes his sign Caprigo, Sign of the Lacuna! WHICH MEANS A GAP IN A MANUSCRIPT OR A BONE. This dude’s themes are LOCKED THE FUCK IN with gaps and gaps and gaps.

Horns - I usually try to sprite horns from scratch but naphal’s sprite sheet had a set that just worked so incredibly well with his symbol and the whimsicality of purple horns??? Edited them very slightly but it’s mostly presented as is. If you want a set from scratch just lmk and I’ll work on it.
Face Paint - I gave him Flowey’s smile from Undertale! Firstly because it’s the smile he gives us when he first says “it’s kill or be killed,” a philosophy Kazmal is no doubt subjected to by his moirail, and secondly because Flowey is himself a character who represents being trapped in unhealthy cycles.
Eyes - once again edited from Naphal’s sprite sheet.
Mouth - purplebloods tend to be toothy, so I gave him very narrow and needle-like teeth.
Clothes - aside from some plain black pajama pants, this is all naphal. I deliberately wanted to avoid the neutral colors we usually see in Alternian outfits. I surmised from your design that Kazmal’s moirail is a goldblood, though if that was incorrect I’m happy to fix it up. I wanted his color scheme infected by his moirail’s as if by a virus, culminating in the apron, which is so subsumed by his moirail’s color that his symbol looks quite lost in it! I also wanted some clashing patterns both to represent his struggle and to show that he’s still a fledgeling designer. The vine-y pattern on his apron is courtesy of mirz123 on deviantart.
Shoes - these are some comfy slippers from fan-troll, which I have elected to keep as his blood color to…I dunno, inspire some hope? Despite all the bullshit he’s going through, he’s still fundamentally grounded in his own sense of identity.
