eldest daughter syndrome really do be kicking my ass tbh

#i just find it like so unfair yknow #im the only one who works in myhouse and full time #but i come home and the house isnt clean and i tidy up and sort everything out and tidy the kitchen anf living room after dinner and put #my sister to bed and yk if there was no one else to do these things id understand but #i have 5 brothers all of whom are adults and they dont lift a finger #its not as if any of them work bec they dont and neither does my dad #and im so so so exhausted yk? bec not everything is my job or responsibility #and i keep blaming other things for me getting sick but yknow what maybe i just dont rest enough #and the other day i was upset bec i'd had a tough day at work and i felt unwell and i cleaned up everything after dinner and my brother #said i didnt have a right to be upset bec i “chose” this. like as if i chose to work full time nd do all the chores for a family of 9 #and it just really upsets me bec no one sees an issue with it and im so mad at my mom at rhe same time #constant therapy sessions w her bec shes mad at my dad and wants someone to vent at and then he does the same abt her and my brothers #and im so tired yknow just sososos tired bec she'll complain abt how they dont do anything but then she wont ensure they do either #its just empty complaints whereas she thrust responsibility on me when i was 9 and yet my brothers are 18+ - all but one that is and they #cant even do their own laundry bec she just..... did everything for them all the time but now is mad that they cant do anything.#like yes i know my dad is a failure of a husband and a father i expected that i'll never be a good enough daughter for him and that the onl #thing he has to say about me is that im bringing shame on our family despite everything ive done but come on #im just tired and upset #its hard not to see yourself as a robot or machine when theres little room to be anything else.#and even on a day like today when i dont feel well it never stops and i just keep doing #im sad i want a hug from my gangster bf #oh god i am sorry pls do not perceive me for this #and yk what #thats why i cant stand when people are nice to me bec all i can think of is #i havent done anything to deserve this? i should have to give something in return #or if not #theres something this person must want because why else would they be nice to me when i havent done anything for them #i cannot fathom the concept that someone just wants me because its me #its literally just not possible why would anyone fo that for me

which wouldn't normally be an issue! like, needing to use the bathroom in the middle of a fight? Nope! minor cuts and bruises like papercuts, only actual enemies or fall damage counting? hell yeah that'd be great (theoretically no chronic pains if you got that?? hmmmm unsure)

see the issue comes when you realize, you as a player, don't have a "character" that's all your own

there's aether/lumine yeah.. but bc the game's real now, they're their own people, and you didn't wake up to find yourself as a blonde twin...

the closest you can describe your form as is .. like a seelie?

or like the way ghosts look in game?

but a lot more "starry"

like your specterlike, but you look like you got filled up with stars and the milky way, maybe a reference of you being from another universe/world? (aether/lumine/dainsleif/khaenriah star symbol reference secret thEORY-)

but yah.

you also got just, white eyes.

like, not iris, not pupil. like your pupil and iris got erased

you gotta admit, at least you look really aesthetic now.

(u also got a little cape and hood on at all times, and you cant take it off to see your starrified hair >:/ ,very Blue Diamond-esque, look up Steven Universe, Blue Diamond if you dont know who im talking about)

so needless to say, as soon as you sort of glitched your way into existence you were HYPE

i mean ur ACTUALLY IN TEYVAT WITH THE BOYSSSS

...then you realize your a spooky-no-character-to-pilot-around-thus-no-character-model-body-for-you thingy

and that you cant touch stuff!! >:(

these kinda thoughts plague your first few days of irl genshin impact playing

a rishabold tiger? yep.

a sumpter beast? kinda slow and heavy feeling but yeah.

...you also try a ruin machine LOL

by far, the fungi and ruin machines are the best to possess, mostly because you can remain upright with those

(tho u did find some type of flying monkey that wasnt in game, but its like,, a real world and jungle now so that makes sense there'd be more complexity + stuff)

you do eventually think you should try and possess a person at this point... but ur kinda nervous 👉👈

its ur first time doin this okay nobody explained the basics to you youve been winging for a week now!

will your mind be replaced with theirs? it hasn't been so far with the creatures/bots

and as far as you can tell, they kinda just-

forget what happened or "wake up" after you possess them

(the tiger you were for a day looked confused as hell when it realized that there was a new pile of fruit next to it when it "woke up", it was your way of saying thank you to the animals of the jungle, u left them little piles of food you collected running around as them)

so THEORHETICALLY-

you should be good to go and possess a random poor eremite

... you figure you want to possess something human-like eventually even if you get a puppet body like wanderer/raiden so...

here goes nothing...

so it's been 2 weeks since you've been forcefully yanked into teyvat, and by the second week, you were trying to possess eremites

which! worked out!

mostly..!

you kinda convinced the entirety of two eremite camps that a certain part one of sumeru's forests is hella haunted bc ppl keep "blacking out" and doing things they don't remember doing, yknow... like possesssion LMAO

they kinda ran off to escape you but, hey!

experiment #2: people possession, success!!

now you were kinda convinced of this when you realized no matter the angle the animals and machines of sumeru didnt react to you getting super close to them (you dont have to touch something to posses it, just look at it really, but you wanted to test limits, so you walked up to sumpter beasts and fungi and ruin machines)

but no one can see you.

you don't have a "character" most of the time, you can float and glide around the ground like scaramouche lol

you cant touch stuff bc of this, you cant smell stuff (u saw the eremites campfires & couldnt smell the smoke until you were them)

you cant eat stuff w/o a body, so.. it makes sense that the eremites and passing merchants, cant see you when you float around, trying to reorient yourself after 2 weeks of experimenting

:( ur only a lil sad about it... but mostly not bc lol u got possession powers so trade off u guess

the first time you see a vision-bearer you literally scream

ur so lucky u cant be seen or heard

bc Collei would have def screamed back lol

needless to say u stalk the forest ranger- ALL DAY.

Collei goes on patrol around the woods? you go on a patrol.

collei goes to visit other forest rangers? you "visit" other forest rangers at base (lol u def possess a guy who was asleep on a bench nearby & wake up to go talk to Collei "in-person", poor guy was so worried he sleep walked/talked so hard he went to see Tighnari an hour later lmao)

welp, you decide this is your life now, follow Collei everywhere, talk one-sided to Collei until you can possess a forest ranger w/o it being suspicious (dont wanna turn the poor rangers into the terrified eremites from a week or two ago...)

then, after you get the courage and erase the paranoia that tighnari can just... somehow hear your ghostly bullshit-

u do the same to Tighnari (then Cyno when he visits! no u didnt squeal, so what, nobody can hear you- )

♧

Tighnari begins to get suspicious about 3 weeks into this routine.

he's been starting to collect and start a file on all the rangers or nearby villagers that've started randomly "blacking out/sleep walking" in the evenings usually

(u possess as close to nighttime as u can so it seems like sleepwalking)

So when Cyno comes back from a mission gone wrong,

having nearly been decapitated by a rogue flying ruin machine, only to black out and come to standing calmly 10 feet further than he remembered being 1 minute ago...

Tighnari's suspicions are confirmed, and he launches into researching this phenomenon.

his first thought is something like the aranara, but that doesn't account for the effect this thing is having on people

after all, what little forest spirit is strong enough to-

-control humans??

Tighnari begins to get the sense he's in over his head after he finds himself pushed into going into Sumeru City in order to collect more library books or ask around if the blackouts have spread to the city people

he answer is negative, on both accounts.

and he spends about one half of the day walking around, and the other reading up all he can on mythical creatures or ailments

Tighnari gives up for the day, and as he makes his way back to Ghandarvaville, he almost gets ambushed by some particularly nasty muggers

...and then he wakes up 20 feet away, his denro vision thrumming with power, full of worry and fondness for himself??, (just like Cyno said he felt happen to him..)

...Tighnari decides he needs reinforcements.

I was wondering if u could write a lando x wife!reader fic where reader is sick and everyone expects her to die so she makes a video to lando telling him how much she loves him and he should live his life after shes gone. But she doesn’t die and lando accidentally finds the video on her laptop and watches it. Reader finds him after hes watched it and he tells her he could never be with anyone else, a girl needs to feel wanted every now and then yknow. (no this is so not because I imagine the funerals of people who are alive and well no ma’am)

Thank you for your request! :) I will not write the whole story about them finding out about the diagnose simply because I don´t think I´m good at writing that, but I hope you like it anyways! :)

The last year has been tough. There was no doubt that it was a rollercoaster of emotions and you were sure that you could´ve never done it without the love of your life by your side, Lando.

The diagnose was a shock, of course. It was supposed to be a tiny little cyst in your left breast, nothing problematic. But during surgery the doctors noticed that it was a tumor, a malignant one and that it spreaded already.

The doctors told you that chemo wouldnt make much sense, since it spreaded too far already but you never gave up. You were determined to beat the cancer, not being ready to die at the age of twenty-something. Lando was by your side, all the time. He shaved his head when you had to shave it, he sat by your side when the nausea from the therapy hit you. After six months, you were alive and married Lando after he asked you to be his wife.

The doctors gave you 6 months, and although you believed that you could beat the cancer, you made a video for Lando. Just in case. You needed him to know how much you love him, how you would never want anybody else by your side but him. How you dreamed about creating a family with him. You needed to tell him that all of that would´ve been your dream but that he needed to be happy again, if you would have to go.

Luckily, you were right and Lando never had to watch the video. He never had to plan your funeral, never had to tell all your beloved ones that you lost the fight against this unfair disease. The chemo started working and after two hard years, you were free of cancer.

You celebrated that night like crazy. You invited all your friends, all of Lando´s friends and your family. You had to miss out on so many birthdays and other parties, you wanted to celebrate big time.

"Love, Andrea calls me all the time I have to call him back. I´ll be in my office for a while", Lando told you and you nodded, pressing a kiss against his lips. "Don´t be too long!" you said and he cupped your face. "I won´t, but we have all the time now, remember", he said and gave you another kiss before he headed to his office.

While he was speaking to his team chef on the phone, he fidgeted with the drawer of his desk, not being able to remember when was the last time he opened it. Without thinking about it, he opened it and his eyes fell on an envelope with his name written on it. He frowned, recognising your handwriting.

After hanging up the phone he opened the envelope and was surprised when he found a usb-stick inside. Curious, he sticked it into his laptop and opened the video which popped up. He gasped when he saw your face, looking in the camera with red and teary eyes.

"Lando. If you watch this video, we didn´t make it. We didn´t get the chance to beat the cancer and I had no choice but to leave you behind. I know that this is a hard time, probably the hardest time you will ever experience. But you will be okay. I know it. Lan, I love you so much. I always have and I always will and that´s why I want you to not be afraid to move on once the time comes. You´re the best that ever happened to me, but you know that I believe in destiny. You were the right one for me, but maybe I wasn´t right for you. Your future wife is still out there, somewhere. I know you don´t want to hear it right now, but I know it´s true. And the day will come, where you will now that I was right. I love you Lando and I´m sorry that I had to leave like that but I will never be truly gone. I will always be with you. I will live in your memories and in your heart. I love you."

Lando didn´t know how often he watched the video. He cried, sobbed, almost threw up, even though he knew that you were right outside, alive as ever. How could you think that he would ever be able to love someone the way he loved you? After a while, a soft knock on his door made him look up. You were standing in the doorframe, frowning. "What´s taking you so lon-", you asked but stopped when you saw him. You gasped and headed over to him, pulling him into a hug. "Lan, I´m so sorry you were never supposed to see this!" You said and closed the laptop.

"How can you say things like that?" he sobbed and you frowned again. "I could never love anybody the way I love you, y/n. Never." "Shh, Lando it doesn´t matter, really. I´m here. I´m right here and I´m not going anywhere."

"No, I want you to understand that even if you weren´t here, nobody could ever replace you. You´re the one I love, you´re the one I want. Fuck, you´re the one I need. I need you in my life, y/n", he said and sobbed again, pressing his head against your shoulder. You were glad that he finally was able to let out his emotions which he suppressed for such a long time. "I love you, I love you so much", you answered and let him cry because you know that anyone needed to cry once in a while. Maybe the video had his purpose after all.

* he’s the happiest when you guys became official but since he struggles to show his affection, he hesitates when he wants to hold your hand or he’ll squeeze his eyes shut when he tries to kiss you ( he saw a couple kissing in public and he wanted to try kissing you since he hasn’t)

* he’ll get used to it and becomes more bold after some time (he’s a young fella he’s filled with energy :3 )

* after some time, he’s proud to show you affection anywhere and anytime and he can’t thank you enough for being patient with him so he attacks you with neck kisses (in a cutesy way not sexual,, unless 👀/hj)

* UGHHH i feel like richter loves neck kisses 😋 he likes giving and receiving :3

* PLEASE CUDDLE HIM EVERY NIGHT 💔 he finds cuddling comforting. he feels so safe in your arms that his nightmares vanished ever since you guys started cuddling

i feel like uty improves on things undertale did but it doesnt have the same strong foundation as the original. like all the qol tweaks and secret shit and meta flowey are all super impressive but as a whole i agree i didnt find it cohesive or consistent

eh, sorry but i don't really think UTY "improves" much of... anything from Undertale? you can make an argument for the visuals, which are more detailed and certainly better animated, but i would argue right back that undertale's rougher, retro, "kinda ugly" graphics are a deliberate design choice on Toby's part that he stuck to for a reason. not to mention, even in their ugliness, the original main cast managed to display more variety in shape language and size than the entire UTY one, which seemed unable to break past the "tall, skinny, anime proportioned humanoid" figure for anyone beyond the occasional side NPC (which, credit where it is due, DID have some really creative designs).

the secret shit is part of my critiques, actually! while conceptually cool, i don't think they appropriately distributed their story and lore at all. i feel like if we got to the end of the pacifist run and were wholly confused as to why dalv was even a character in the story, the whole "human attack" backstory was... not delivered properly. now, there's no problem with having secret lore, gaster is right there. but if you DO have it then it shouldn't be... yknow... tied to the main backstory conflict that literally set the story in motion? lol? it felt like a game with dataminers in mind, rather than players. which was unavoidably detrimental to its storytelling.

the bullet patterns and attack designs were very visually creative but what they improved from the original in their cleverness they tanked with their execution. WAYYY too unfair, counting too much on memorization and giving you no time to accustom yourself to the mechanics (shout-out to the gun tutorial that... didn't teach us how to shoot. at all. we figured it out on our own in the axis fight LMFAO)

the meta flowey stuff was a fun idea that only really delivered in the neutral run and didn't amount to enough anywhere else to justify his presence in the game imo. like, i lost my shit during his fight too, don't get me wrong, i like when fan stories let him be a little FREAK. but everything else was just so... wasted? i almost didn't see the neutral ending at all because the way pacifist handled flowey disappointed me so much.

uhhhhh running was a good addition and the music fucked hard. can't say anything against those two, nossir. not sure it'd go so far as to call them improvements tho, just nice touches

Who is stronger Lute or Vaggie?

Personally I'm gonna go ahead and say Lute is stronger than Vaggie. 'But they fought and Vaggie beat her-' yeah no one cares, lemme explain.

So basically I know that the angels are meant to be kinda bad fighters because yknow they don't arm themselves properly and stuff and they don't defend as well and you can strike them easily from there but uh...

while I don't doubt that this is the case with other angles its pretty damn clear that it isn't the case with Lute.

Lute attacks Vaggie aggressively and when she first attacks her she goes straight for her eye like she said she would. Not to mention but Vaggie does try and defend against her. Of course this is all kinda unfair towards Vaggie since well she is defending and apparently angels aren't good at defending but you also have to keep in mind that Carmilla trained her so... yeah- sorry.

not to mention the fact that she isn't totally helpless as we see Lute lunge at her trying to attack and Vaggie grab her arm most likely trying to throw her to the ground. But as we see in this next very weirdly timed screenshot I took Lute easily counters this attack. She doesn't hesitate to fly up and slam Vaggie into the ground.

That is impressive. Especially since it's hard to react that fast with a move that effective. Most people even when fighting for a while wouldn't think of that because when you're in hand to hand combat with someone every decision you make is in the moment. Especially in such a fast paced battle like this one.

Another thing would be her notice of the piece of glass that Vaggie held. She had basically a few frames (from what ive seen) to see that and grab it trying to stab Vaggie. That being said though she puts all of her weight and force on it causing Vaggie to easily overpower her and use her own force against you. Remember when fighting you don't put all of your weight/force into one move, it can be easily used against you and yeah, its gonna suck.

We see that here when Lute is in a very bad position, but not for long as it seems that Vaggie might've also made the same mistake and used it. Not to mention that she appears to be standing here and having bad frame as she is bent over. When fighting in a position like this you typically wanna stay tall with your chest since it'll be hard to do what Lute does next which is throw you over.

And we see that Lute does in fact do this with what seems to be little to no struggle. Not to mention that Vaggie didn't have the upper hand for very long. She had it for like a frame in the animation so yeah.

Vaggie does react quickly in this scene though so thats nice :)

Not to mention she's just been thrown to the ground and had to get up and regain posture so thats cool :D

We then see Lute quickly back away though which is also a good move and is kinda a defense I wanna say. She distances herself with her weapon knowing that more distance equals more power but uh yeah she kinda rams it into the wall...

She then leaves her sword (good idea since its proven that she and Vaggie are both quick to react) and goes to instantly tackle Vaggie to the ground instead. I want to point out that this is something that could've been easily avoided on Vaggies part I think. Just take a few steps back or keep some sort of guard up or stance and she easily wouldn't have gotten tackled as easily. But she lets down her guard and well she gets bodyslammed.

Once again Lute uh... uses the environment and slams Vaggies head into a desk... fun. Also Vaggie bleeds gold blood, kinda makes you wonder if she never cut herself on accident before.

Lute lets her guard down though as she goes to search for something to stab Vaggie with and within this time Vaggie finds something to hit her with which is impressive as her eyesight is probably horrible after being slammed into the desk.

In the end we don't see how Vaggie gets to this point but seeing as how they were going before it probably was a long while with a ton of injuries on each side but with Lute most likely having the better position/upper hand in each of the battles as she mostly had it in this fight.

Then in the end Lute stabs Vaggie's hand, she removes the spear and grabs it throwing Lute across and into the rubble (she's pretty damn strong I gotta say).

I'm not gonna count the rubble as fast reaction because Lute was doing a monologue and yknow its not really that impressive in terms of reaction. But it is a good use of surroundings.

But overall in this fight despite Vaggie winning I would still say that Lute is stronger/the better fighter. She let her guard down in a battle she thought that she was already winning but lets be honest, if she didn't she would've killed Vaggie without a doubt it was only when she mentioned Charlie that she actually yknow got Lute.

If she didn't then Vaggie would've been as good as dead.

Overall these two are very good fighters and their fight scene was probably one of my favorites if not my favorite. But in the end I feel like if they were in a sparing match that Lute would win. Honestly she would've/should've won but yknow. Yeah she mentioned Charlie and the power and love and shit :)

Like he’ll pull up his hoodie and cover his face with his arms as he just giggles his heart out

Toothiana absolutely melts when he does it and it just makes her want to tease Jack even more

Believe it or not- he can say the T-word!

It flusters him to no end when he does but at least he can say it, right?

Absolutely hates it when Bunny calls himself the Tickle Monster when tickling Jack

Definitely uses those nicknames as a tease when tickling him and Jack thinks it’s so unfair

Will cuss when he’s getting tickled which he is playfully scolded by Tooth daily

The feet are off limits when your tickling him though

Not because they’re ticklish, but just because he doesn’t like the feel of it, yknow?

It overwhelms him

Will always try and get revenge on the rest of the Guardians- buuuuut that goes as well as you’d expect

If you were going to write a happy ending for c!tommy what would it look like

You mean you want me to ramble about the ending I’ve made in my head that specifically caters to me? Because I will ramble about the ending that specifically caters to me

So. Wilbur still leaves* and Tommy spirals and becomes deadest on killing Dream. He believes that all of his problems will be solved once he’s is out of the picture. He gets Tubbo and they jump Dream, run over to Punz, he reverses it and they capture clingyduo. Same as canon. (But I would change some dialogue that really bothered me, like the revive book having mind control powers and of course the staged disc finale.)

Clingy duo escape at the sacrifice of Tommy’s discs I guess. They come up with the nuke plan but instead of blowing up the prison Tommy plans on leading them out to logstedshire to cause the least damage. (Since I still think it’s really stupid that changing the trajectory of the nuke just slightly to the left would destroy the whole server. As if just hitting the prison wouldn’t cause the same amount of damage??)

(Also while we’re here Jack wouldn’t be involved in any of this because I hc his issues got sorted out during the stream where he blew up the hotel. He was able to get his closure and move on, don’t ask me how justwaituntiligettohiminpaintedillusions cough cough) Anyways.

Tommy sorta hits his lowest. He prepares to die. He dons his full L’Manburg uniform for the occasion (because the idea of him always planning to be buried in his uniform makes me lose my mind) At this point he thinks he’s lost everything. He’s ready to go down with the ship. At least he thinks he is…

Tubbo says totems won’t save him but he offers Tommy one anyways because he hopes he’s wrong. And Tommy takes it because he hopes he’s wrong too.

Tommy sets off to get the grilled cheese duo and succeeds in leading them to logstedshire. How? Uhh maybe he snuck in the prison with invisibility and yoinked a book from them. Something drastic enough to scare them into chasing after him.

They make it to logstedshire and I won’t go too into it because I’m making an animatic to better explain all this but Tommy is determined to go down laughing and Dream takes some L’s.

Nuke hits, Logstedshire is destroyed Dream and punz are dead and Tommy is alive. Tommy is alive and that shakes him up a bit. I don’t think it fully hits him until the next day. But physically he’s okay minus the new glittery golden streak in his hair (it’s barely noticeable unless he’s in the sun which I think is funny. Gets a cool hairstreak and it’s not even that visible, how unfair!)

Then we get to the fun part! A slow and thorough journey of Tommy unpacking all the shit he went through. Because surprise! Killing Dream didn’t solve everything like he hoped it would. The happy ending is that Tommy is given the chance to work towards his happy ending, yknow?

I imagine that when he hit his lowest point, yknow preparing to die, that he doesn’t quite leave that point. He thinks he does because he’s running off the adrenaline of finally defeating Dream. But he doesn’t quite realize how unfair and dangerous it was for him to have to do that in the first place. And in time he starts to realize that with Tubbo’s help (and maybe other characters help too, maybe Wilbur hears about what happened and comes back, of course there’s Quackity too. All the people who care about Tommy come to support him but they’re too late. They’re too late and have to realize that. They weren’t there for Tommy when he needed them but they’re here now.)

Tldr: What would a happy ctommy ending look like if I wrote it? Dream dies, and Tommy sets off on the journey to unpack all his trauma and learn how to find his happiness with his small support system. (So basically what I’m doing with Painted Illusions sksjjdj)

Also to be clear this is just the little world/au that lives in my head. This isn’t what I wanted the real ending to be. I don’t think all these ideas are very feesible in the medium of streaming. So if you had asked me what I think should’ve been done differently with the finales I would have a different answer.

*I still dislike the fact that Wilbur left at all. I feel like his story would’ve been stronger if he had stayed and healed. But for the sake of this specific ending he’d have to leave for Tommy to go to spiral the way he does

re: your dotc rewrite, the details are much better than the original. if you take recommendations, maybe emphasize before gray wings death that he avoids or rejects assitamce from shadowclan? that or when he was kicked out, nobody knew he had asthma? its more a “depends on how you read it” thing, but him being kicked out to die of his asthma just feels a little too cruel for the much kinder characters of your dotc rewrite, even when he is a horrible asshole, yknow? especially with ableism being a huge part of the original arc (clear sky kicking out disabled cats to die all the time).

love your rewrites so far, especially interested that instead of “fixing” some of the chaarcters you just role with the way they were accidentally written horrible and give them consequences. keep up the good work! ☺️

This is a longer post but has a lot of detail.

Yes! I should probably clear that up! His asthma, when he was kicked from Windclan, was not bad. Like at all. Only like.... 2 cats actually knew, Pebble Heart and Hawk Swoop, who was nosy, and is now dead. He himself downplayed it and insisted he was fine, just a tickle, bit of prey scratched my throat, guess I can't run so fast anymore, I'm getting old/out of shape/my legs are just sore. His demise was his own making. If he'd just acknowledged he had any problem at all, he would still be alive. (Well, not nowadays, you know what I mean)

Excuses. Just like canon. At least you can say he never let it get him down. But medical problems don't go away just because you ignore them.

He gets worse after he is kicked out. And he is kicked out for saying something fucking HORRIFIC to Wind Runner about her dead baby. They put up with his Clear Sky bootlicking, but he tried to drive out Bumble before, and now this? No. Go find another group. Sorry, but you clearly won't change after driving Turtle Tail, Jagged Peak, Bumble, Tall Shadow, and Thunder Storm away.

After this, the story isn't from his point of view. Thunder Storm sees him again coming up to their camp, that tickle in his throat getting worse and tighter. Thunder Storm, bless his heart, wants to help, but he can't forget how Gray Wing treated Bumble. He offers a deal. Apologize, and you can stay.

"What?! No! She should be sorry to ME for stealing Turtle Tail! We aren't kittypets, and that's that!"

Thunder Storm is about to offer some help (remember Cloud Spots is not here yet) but Gray Wing snaps at him. His uncle won't change...

Clear Sky is a bust. Sky Petal still doesn't like him, and although this is after The First Battle, when Gray Wing coughs, Clear Sky (IN CHARACTER) says no. We have sick cats here, and my Sky Petal is pregnant. No. But... Clear Sky says he is sorry, and that's enough for Gray Wing to go "yeah, I get it. That's okay. My brother is so caring about his new mate" (nevermind that he said 'my' Sky Petal)

He stays with River Ripple's camp, getting jumpscared by a little gray molly, but Frosty Paws is kind, offering him some herbs before she slinks back into the shadows, making Gray Wing wonder if she is a spirit cat. He tells Dappled Pelt about it and she gets very excited.

Frosty Paws gave him catmint.

He is kept in River Ripple's camp for a while (River Ripple POV!) until River Ripple is forced to intervene with the One Eye problem. Clear Sky and One Eye are leading attacks on others.

River Ripple tries to be understanding when Gray Wing insists that Clear Sky is good deep down, just afraid... But he looks at the quickly whitening tom, and says

"Fear doesn't justify murder. Fear doesn't make a cat do this."

When Gray Wing lashes out, he tears River Ripple's ear, Night and Storm Bird tell him to leave. All he does is complain about the taste of their beloved, sacred fish, and how unfair it is that Turtle Tail left him for that fat housecat. Funny though, the ripped spot has to be severed, and it looks like it changed the course of his ear completely, like a river that changed how it flows. Well, no use dwelling on it, let's go chill on Sunningrocks, after all, only we can swim to it. :)

He isn't seen for a while because he doesn't get pretty much any more POV time. But Path Of Stars happens.

He gets weak, collapsing on a big root in the marsh, and found by Tall Shadow, who drags him back to camp. Hell has broken lose, with Star Flower trying to pick off the Proto-Clan Cats one by one. She tells him to wait in camp, Thunder called a meeting between the 5 leaders and she needs to make sure River Ripple attends.

There, he sees Pebble Heart examining Bumble, looking a little bigger, next to Turtle Tail, who looks so excited she is shifting from paw to paw. Bumble is expecting another small litter for them. Pebble Heart comes over to him, and offers him treatment, but he stomps over to Turtle Tail and tries to pick a fight with her. How dare she leave to Moor, and leave him when he helped raise her kits and-!

She slaps him. Claws sheathed. She never got this catharsis with her first abusive mate, but she'll do it with her second one. She tells him that she doesn't love him anymore, that Bumble has helped her when her night terrors get bad, Bumble was there when Owl Eyes got a bad cold and she worried herself sick. Bumble was the one who helped her sneak out, and prevented twolegs from stealing her kits. Bumble never tried to punish her for being her own cat.

He stays quiet, before he stalks out of camp, Pebble Heart tries to reach out to him, but Gray Wing just hisses at him to get away, go with your real parents then... But all Pebble Heart wanted was to treat a cat in need. He had found many herbs he wanted to try.

His asthma attack hits when he reaches the Five Oak Trees that lead to each territory.

He lays the curse down on the other Clans, not finding it in himself to fully curse Shadowclan, not looking their way when his gaze sweeps the different territories. He dies at Clear Sky's Oak. The fifth tree. His outstretched claws reaching to Riverclan, the last cats who rejected him.

He has a place in the Dark Forest, but his hate and anger bind him to the earth. He is known by the Clans as Gray Wing the Cruel, Enabler of Tyrants, Layer of Curses.

And He is Waiting for His Starless Clans.

Ohohohohohohohohohoho anon my guy my dude, my man (genderless) I am about to speak. Pull up a fuckin chair bro. Also puttin this under read more because uh, long lol

This is actually one of my favourite things to think about regarding Natsu (apart from yknow, END lol) and Zeref because it is such an interesting little story point.

For Natsu, the interest comes from the fact that he's not who he thought he was. Natsu's always confident about his identity, he's quick to announce who and what he is in a situation and he's proud of who he is. The knowledge that yeah sure, you are Natsu Dragneel, but uh Natsu's not who you think he is buddy- that Natsu, in some way died so many centuries ago but was pulled back and reshaped, reborn- repackaged even- into you in a body that you thought was human but is some almagamation of that and more? All tied to a book? Can he still say with confidence that he is Natsu Dragneel when he hardly knew the truths about himself? And if sayin that is even true when he could easily just be something molded to look like what Zeref lost? (Ofc we the readers know otherwise but imagine the dilemna man) The reality of it would've- should've- been earth shattering. It would've been an identity crisis and then some.

For Zeref, oh man. Zeref's whole thing stems from the fact that he loves Natsu. He loves Natsu so much (and his parents too i guess) that when the tragedy struck and he lost everything, it fucked him up. He just couldn't deal with the incredibly unfair hand that life dealt him that he was willing to turn the world on its head and essentially change the course of fioran history to try and undo what happened to him. To save something from his old life that he loved.

But heres the thing about Zeref's love. It's twisted. It's fucked up. It's dark.

Working years, decades- possibly even centuries- on the single minded task of reviving his brother (and why just Natsu? Why not the parents well? Why only the younger sibling? Did he intend to bring them all back but became single minded on just his brother?) could lead to obsession. Obsession with making him perfect, no longer just as a human but more than that. Stronger so he won't be killed as easily. Obsession with keeping him close, tying him to his soul in such a way that if Zeref goes, Natsu goes as well. Making sure that he's pulling the strings that when it comes to, when he finally closes his eyes at the hands of his brother, he has a comfort in knowing that his brother is going with him and he won't be left alone, like what his very first tragedy did to him. (Plus also making Natsu, his creation that he brought to life, kill him would be a back stab at Ankhserham. Because the god cursed him for fucking around with life and death, so having his demon kill him would be Zeref controlling the life he chose to create and determining his own death. It'd be a last gotcha).

Zeref may have loved Natsu enough to bring him back, and he still loves him in a way, but it's messed up. Because the whole ordeal of everything messed him up.

But I digress, this is just side stuff, your question really. How did Zeref really bring Natsu back?

Now since you asked specifically for phoenixverse, i can get a lil bit loose with canon details and not feel as restricted.

So we have our hard facts- Natsu and Parents die in Zeref's youth, Zeref fucks around tryna undo their deaths and finds out by getting cursed for doing this, then proceeds to use the curse to his advantage and over an undisclosed amount of time to create his demons and what not.

'Undisclosed amount of time' being the key thing here.

Canon implies that the time between Natsu's death, Zeref getting cursed and Zeref reviving Natsu happened within a relatively close period of time. And if it's anything I love, it's spacing out events.

I'd like to think that between the loss of his family and when he gets cursed is a decent gap of time, like a decade or so to really push the fact that he's so fixated on the loss. Then after getting the curse he sets to work of reviving Natsu over the course of decades to almost a century and a half.

(Am i implying Zeref to be a bit older than the 400 years? Yes, yes i am. The way I saw it the events of 400yrs past were inciting incidents i.e Zeref giving Natsu to Igneel, slayers gettin sent to the future, and not the actually set date where everything happened. And again, I like the idea of Zeref fixating on this for a very long time. Him being older drives home the single-mindedness and determination to get it done)

As prodigious as Zeref is, creating life and being the first wizard to do so, i don't think he could do it so easily within a few short years which is why i personally love the idea of Zeref taking so long to be able to revive Natsu. A touch of realism to something magical kinda grounds it in a way, gives it some weight at the very least.

Specifically Natsu being Zeref's final project ever and all the other demons he created over the years prior being experiments and steps taken to perfect the process so Natsu would be the culmination of all that he learnt (demons like deliora and lullaby being demons of inorganic matter given humanoid form-> tartarus- esque demons being humanoid demons with animalistic features (organic matter) -> Natsu, human demon and hybrid traits all working together in cohesion).

And speaking of a touch of realism, or sorta realism anyways, riddle me this.

Zeref needs something to make Natsu well, Natsu. Sure he could probs make a demon that looks like him, but thats not what he wants. He wants his actual brother so, what could he get to add into the mixture to really do that? Why a few samples of course :].

But Phoenix! I hear you cry, how could he have gotten samples if you said in your version that it took him forever to finally revive Natsu?

And so leads into the actual true definitive answer to your question anon.

Zeref, in needing the most important ingredient in the Natsu stew took things from the OG body to help build the new one. But! The kicker here is the samples I imagine him using aren't blood but instead, bone.

Maybe he realizes a decade or 2 down the line in his demon experiments that he missed a step in what he needs to see this through. Maybe he thinks he's too late because what can he do now at that point. Maybe he realizes that he can use not flesh and blood, but what remains for his plan. Maybe he commits another sin in the hopes of it bringing for another and digs up his young brother's bones. Maybe he whittles them down piece by precious piece over the long period of time after failing so many times (am i also implying failed Natsus? Failed ENDs? Hell yeah i am) and coming dangerously close to it all ending for naught, with the last shard of bone. And maybe after so long and so many atrocities, he finally succeeded?

TL:DR Zeref snagged OG Natsu's bones and used those to help in the process of quite literally rebuilding him from scratch to give us our Natsu.

I dunno man, it just adds a layer of fucked up-ness to the whole situation of how far Zeref was willing to go- even defiling his brother's bones to get him back.

And on Natsu's side learning about all this would just twist the knife of his identity crisis even deeper (especially on that implication of failed END attempts before him).

Also like, by stretching out the time of events and making Natsu being the very last demon Zeref ever made bring so much for layers of meaning to the name END in itself.

END, being the literal meaning 'Etherious Natsu Dragneel'

END, signalling the last demon Zeref's made. An end to his experimentations.

END, as in the last and perfected version of his brother, with the last remains of OG Natsu's bones going towards his creation.

And END, as in Zeref's end, where he intends for Natsu to kill him thus ending his life.

So about this!

I think people are getting a little too competitive with their favourite old person and I think I’m contributing to that with this post. This post is only one piece of a complicated picture.

Because I do still think Garmadon has pretty privilege and angst privilege and and I think it causes biases. Mainly it means he is exempt from being wrongfully villainised.

Bc my problem with oldlego antis is when people mischaracterise characters to be abusive parents or queerphobic and act like canon supports that bc I personally don’t enjoy that, and this generally happens to older characters and Garmadon is exempt from that purely bc he’s more attractive or funnier or “he can’t cause pain because he’s the one in pain!”.

But just because Garmadon is unfairly exempt from being mischaracterised doesn’t mean we suggest mischaracterising him to even the scales. There’s a few notions going around that “didn’t they forget Garmadon actually the villain” and imo it’s a wild oversimplification of his character just to win an argument, and that’s the exact same thing that Wu antis do.

I just wanna put out there that I am personally more neutral on this wu Misako anti stan debate bc ngl I think it’s everyone is wrong (imo imo).

I can see why people don’t wu or Misako bc in the show they do do a lot of silly things, or have barely any writing to them. Like to me, Misako is literally only enjoyable if you rewrite her character and I respect that some people don’t care enough to do that. It’s hard to enjoy a character who’s spends most of her screen time gazing lovingly into the eyes of her husband’s brother or just being there. And Wu is just a flawed character in general, he is continuously making mistakes and misjudgements, and whilst that’s kinda what I like about him, I can see why others don’t care for it.

And I can see why Garmadon is popular outside of appearance bias. As a sensei he does seem to be the respected teacher, there are so many moments where Wu looks up to him even before he reformed, and his whole villain arc was always juxtaposed with his role as a father. To simplify Garmadon as “well he was a villain” is just a little unfair.

I also just don’t like a lot of people’s fanon interpretations of Misako mainly bc I think people find way to excuse her leaving Lloyd and then characterise her as yet another angst factory this time mom edition. Personally I find that boring and I want to complicate her relationship with Lloyd, not because I hate her, but bc I want to take advantage of the groundwork’s in the relationship to make a more unique plot. And I also want her to commit arson.

Like I think my point is, there’s many valid reasons to have any opinion on these old people, and it only annoys me when your love/hate is based on or furthers mischaracterisation of a character. And it’s understandable why people do like different characters, and I think we can disagree on this and still get along yknow?

Icy is the most distant of the three personalities and the least inclined to PDA, it's simply how he is. Farthest he's probably felt comfortable going with you so far is idly petting you in his grasp like an oversized metal Bond villain and their cat.

Not that you OBJECTED to this treatment this mech's hands and shoulder are your thrones now - and you'll happily soak up the affection it's just you'd like something a tad more forward, y'know?

Turns out Icy's hyperfrost cannons mean he runs cold constantly, and when he's startled millions of years of war have ingrained combat systems to activate at a moments notice, cooling him even further. Like licking a telegraph pole in Alaska.

Officially probably the most embarrassing trip to med bay either of you have ever had.

Hothead

He's shouting about something, honeslty you tuned out a while ago and became immune to the thunderous volume of loud noises. This mech is 90% shout.

You lay a hand against his helmet and pat it gently even as he fumes. He's long since mastered the art of stomping around without jostling you (but the magnets sewn into your jeans also help, like, a lot). You're not even sure if he can feel your tiny hand through he armour plating but continue regardless.

"It's so slagging unfair!" he roars, and you make all the right noises. Absentmindedly pressing a kiss beside the place your hand rests. "Yeah, I hear you."

The silence rings between you like an alarm bell allergic to noise.

"UH-" you don't even get a minute to fling up an excuse before you're being swept up into giant hands. You clench against the whiplash as Hothead clenches his dentae in front of you.

You take a minute to admire the truly extensive blush below his visor. He opens his mouth to inhale for a new, jet engine decibel outbutrst and you abruptly decide that, yknow what, those lips are extremely plump and kissable and in for a penny in for a pound and all that.

Future safety briefings will specify that humans should not lauch their heads into a mechs mouth unexpectedly -or ever- but you can't help but feel like you've won... something even as you try and extracate your head from between said lips that closed on reflex.

Lots of kissing was techically done, just not very traditionally, and he couldn't even find words beyond squeaking and wild gestures, so you're officially counting this as a win.

Random

It's taken you more than a week to see Random after the hilarious mishaps with the other personalities, a fact that's concerned you for a while.

Random is the most openly affectionate and seems to have an addiction to touching you with his face anyway, so you thought a kiss would be within easy reach. He's already licked, nuzzled and balanced you on his non-existant nose, why the distance now?

The answer comes in the form of nightmares and cannibalism. It's depressing what you get used to these days.

You're not sure if Random gets the worst nightmares of the three or is simply the most open about expressing distress even when asleep. All you know is that one minute you're blearily forcing your eyes open and the next you're all but lauched off the berth as Random thrashes and shrieks in remembered pain.

Miraculously you're unhurt but are in no position to stop Lugnut storming in and grappling Blitzwing back down to the bed. Random snarls, and it's something so animalistic you feel it in your bones. You watch in horror as he wrestles free and sinks Jack O'Lantern knife teeth into Lugnut's arm.

To his credit all Lugnut does is grunt and let Blitzwing lap up the energon. You're certain if it were anyone else they would have lost the arm.

Lungnut holds him even as he slowly relaxes and lays prone againt the berth, fans on high and optics dim and distant. His face is still covered in energon and you can tell he'll need your help cleaning it out of the crevices later.

"Human. You can come up now."

You shakily do, trusting in the sheer force of the bomber to keep Blitzwing pinned as you come sit by his face. He slowly managed to focus on you, though all that comes out is a pitiful whine.

You've never noticed really before, but he has no lips to cover his razor blade smile, and had always been incredibly gentle when you were close. You press a kiss to his cheek in a clear spot and run a hand fondly around a wide and questioning optic.

"Going to need a bath later, big guy." You mumble and he fianlly relaxes fully as Lugnut grumbles and leaves the room, complaining about disturbance to his sleep schedule.

The tired but content purr of his dual engines is all you rememeber as you both gently drfit back to sleep.

This Oscar. as archaeologist!Steven Grant yknow? cuz like. oh m y god. and he's very classy and old fashioned about it yknow he's got huge ass tents on the site all packed with everything you could possibly need and he is GOOD at his job and he takes NO SHIT when on the job (he's still nice) because this is HISTORY and he would rather die than let anyone fool around. He's got this big presence around the dig site and he always just looks so goddamn hot and the way he gets so excited when there's the potential of something yet so absolutely heart broken when there is nothing. He demands to be listened to and he's known for being so stern and a bit harsh, despite his cute smile and very kind attitude when he is on the job with a mission...he is ON the job. does that make sense? (because if he's so commanding and with such a dominating work presence how am I supposed to FOCUS.)

Yknow, despite how it is impossible by all Ingame options, I wonder how a neutral route with *ONLY* Sans (and Asgore ig) killed would look? Would he count enough as a boss monster (NOT a Boss Monster) to push it from a Queen Toriel ending to an Empress Undyne ending? How would Alphys react (She lost one of her closest friends, but she still has MTT and Undyne around.)? How would Papyrus react (Would he go full angst mode and try close away his heart? Would he become even more of a people pleaser, trying to make sure he doesn't repeat whatever mistake he made with you again? Would he go into denial mode, trying to find Flowey to set things right with him either finding him or not based on what Frisk choses after the FloweyX fight? So many choises), especially with how he seems to Know Something he doesn't let on. I'd imagine that (provided it's a Queen Toriel Ending) Undyne wouldn't be thar affected, sad that Papyrus lost a brother rather than sad that Sans died (she never is close with Sans. She doesn't hate him, but she doesn't know him as more than "Papyrus weird brother" and "My sentry that works the ABSOLUTE bare minimum needed"). I don't think mettaton would appear or be affected, leaving the call pretty limited. So we have Papyrus and Maybe Undyne, with Papyrus probably being... kinda miffed that everything is going along the same, as if Everything hasn't changed. Bonus points if it's Post Dates, leaving a pretty aimless Undyne moving into Sans room, trying to fill a void that she never can. It isn't some threat she can suplex or teach to cook, it's the world being unfair.

(This also would give a pretty Unique Undyne state, being halfway between her "I don't like that you had to kill Asgore, but it's what you had to do" mindset and her more common "You betrayed me in such a soul crushing way it'll affect how I love forever" mindset in most Neutral Endings. I can imagine her actually trying to rationalise it, because the human only killed Asgore (sucks but she Gets It), and... Sans. The easiest enemy, one too weak to make it into the guard, and almost too weak to be a Sentry (Sans would have no reason to reveal Blasters, and his magic would barely scratch the TRUE HERO of the Underground when Karma is factored in. All she would see is surprisingly complex patterns that don't deal even a tenth of her hp). So surely, they had a reason, right? Why else would they do it?)

can't not confess I've thought about it too, but it IS really hard to extend as a concept because there's just... really no way for sans to die outside of the NM run. and I don't mean logistically, i mean character-wise he is so defined by his survival. by his Being There as everything falls apart. the final girl last man standing in the story. so the whole concept immediately falls apart.

undyne wouldn't personally grieve him, seeing as they didn't really know each other, but she WOULD still feel his death on her conscience as she does with every other monster killed in neutral runs. plus, there's her friendship with papyrus to emotionally aggravate things.

papyrus would definitely go into denial. he would be annoyed about him vanishing all of a sudden, then it'd turn to worry, then as his worries become more and more plausible, he'd shut out all rational thought about the subject and pretend everything is alright. i like the idea of him reaching out to flowey, but he'd try to explain his plan while also comtradicting himself all the time in order to never say outloud "sans is dead. we need to fix this"

betrayed undyne... yeah this is where it falls apart again, since you'd have to reason why sans would die (or even instigate a fight at all) in the final corridor during what has so far been a flawless pacifist run.

buuut pushing past the visceral resistance to the concept. i can easily see a scene where the betrayal pushes her to lose it and seek revenge like it does in normal neutral runs, and her looking to papyrus for training help/human destroying plans. and just... meeting a Wall of denial. that would be a harrowing talk. something people don't mention enough is that papyrus sees himself as sans' caretaker as much if not even more than sans does towards him. a world where sans is dead is a world where he failed his brother. it would devastate him. so he clings to anything not to think about it/delude himself. and here comes undyne ready to shatter that fragile hope. it would be a horrible moment between them

but yeah. everything aside, sans would straight up just not die lol.

I haven't played bg3 so I'd love to hear how astarion's views of koto change throughout the story pls <3 like is he immediately attracted or what. and what about koto's feelings and how they change. gimmie the deets.

Honestly, Astarion sums up his part pretty well in his confession dialogue!

and then hilariously another tidbit from his final romance scene literally right before he tells you he loves you and you have sex on his grave (ignore old k'oto i havent gotten there on new k'oto yet and also the different outfits these are from two different play sessions)

basically tldr. astarion didnt really care for k'oto at all at first, it was all just manipulation in order to get him to trust him so he would keep him around and protect him since he was terrified of his master finding him (he's a vampire spawn and the only reason he has his free will up until we kill his master is because of the mind flayer parasites all the characters have, he only got away when the mind flayers kidnapped him and has been paranoid about being found since, rightfully so since we come across a monster hunter sent after him early on) so it was all just. seduction and charming! he was really kinda annoyed by k'otos whole 'good guy' thing, like 'ohhhh wow youre a hero. what good are you. nobody ever helped me or saved me. where were you when i needed you.' (obviously completely unfair, k'oto is only 28 and he was turned 200 years ago) and kind of a little bit afraid of him? sure he's shorter than him but he's also way stronger physically and has fangs and claws and strange beastly habits that really just kinda put him off for a while bc yknow. fangs hurt him once. sure this guy seems harmless but he knows better than to trust!!!

except he doesnt. because k'oto was completely unexpected in every way. he's kind and funny and genuine in a way astarion had completely forgotten was possible. he loved him so completely and so honestly the whole time. even when he told him sweet lies and was just so obviously using him he just. kept loving him!!! (k'oto voice) its not real now but someday it might be, and ill still be here when it is. when hes ready to love me back. <--------shit like That!!! the icing on the cake was coming to realize that he and k'oto had. a LOT more in common than he wouldve ever thought. particularly when it came to matters of sex and how they had trouble viewing their bodies as their own due to their circumstances and how it all made it difficult for them to say 'no' to things out of fear/obligation…the very last thing he ever expected from this dumbass catboy was to see himself 100-something years younger in him…..he just. was exactly what astarion needed…uegh!!!

k'oto was pretty much head over heels from the beginning despite the red flags. he was far from home and work where nobody would even think to offer him money for his time and would just spend it with him because they genuinely wanted to for nothing more in exchange than just their own time and company so even if he was being blatantly manipulated it was still the realest shit he'd experienced in years from probably the most attractive guy he'd ever met upto that point so it was a recipe for some good ol fashion love at first sight…or i guess. love at first knifepoint.

maybe a bit of confusion at first bc he'd never been in love before so there was probs a brief period of 'am i in love or is this just lust' until after he slept with him the first time and it didn't go away and in fact only got stronger and he was like 'ok yeah im in love actually!!!!'

sorry this is completely incoherent i love them so fucking much it makes me sick to my stomach and also im so very tired
