Hi! Sorry if you dont answer this kinda question and feel free to delete if you dont wanna answer but how would one go about learning Chinese? Are there any tips or sources you could direct to? I want to surprise my dad one day by learning Chinese since I grew up without learning it (been Americanized 😔) but I have no idea where to start at all. I would greatly appreciate the help if you provide any.
Nonetheless I hope you are well! Love your douyin translations! Thanks! ♡♡♡
I'm not reaaally a good person to ask since I'm not truly actively pursuing language studies. You'd be better off searching up language resources/communities or looking for Chinese langblrs tbh. I think they'll probably have a lot more actual learning resources that you can check out. If you're real serious, I'd look up getting into HSK levels (standardised testing levels basically)
However, my general advice is to probably just immerse yourself more if you're already a little bit familiar with Chinese. It sounds like your parents or at least your dad is Chinese, so you must know a little bit already. I've said as much in previous asks before, but my current Chinese language skills are basically all from just getting more into watching dramas/movies/web videos (like douyins) over the last ~2 years. Personally, my listening skills are still better than speaking/reading, but I used to be practically illiterate and now I can indulge more in my love of reading comment sections and forum drama lol.
There's tons of drama/movie recs out there including from me (check my FAQ/answered asks) so I won't bother with that here.
Everything I link below is just going to be based on my own experience/some resources I use/have used. Idk how helpful it will be to what you're trying to achieve.
If your goal is only to get better at speaking Chinese, I'd say learning songs might help? Or just when you're watching any language videos, repeating things out loud helps. I also just mutter out loud to myself anytime I find myself thinking in Chinese these days, since I don't really talk to anybody but I still want to improve my speaking skills.
Video channels:
The Mandarin Corner - a language youtube channel has varying levels language videos on various topics as well as vocab.
每日中文课Free To Learn is also a nice language youtube channel, though it may be a little bit more intermediate learning. 唐真探【唐唐說-每週更新】- True crime channel in Chinese. If you have interest in true crime, I think watching ones in Chinese are interesting because they offer more diverse case coverage, including cases from China and other Asian countries that you typically just don't find in western true crime channels. Subtitles are in Traditional so if you're like me, you'll probably rely mostly on listening. I think these channels also help me learn some modern vocab. 英大吉來了 - another true crime channel in Chinese. Subtitles are in Traditional. 脑弟说电影 - movie/drama recap channel in Chinese. Subtitles are in Simplified.
Some apps that might be helpful (based on my experience only):
Mobile:
Pleco - a Chinese-English dictionary). I would install a Chinese pinyin keyboard and handwriting keyboard on your phone in order to look up words or phrases. A similiar app I've heard people talk about before is called Anki, I think?
HelloChinese - This can take you up to HSK 4 or something like that for free. It's better than DuoLingo, I hear. I haven't actually used DuoLingo before but I'm told their Chinese program is a little bullshit. I used to use HelloChinese reading/writing practice on and off but since I'm not interested in paying for stuff, I don't really use it anymore. However, I think the practices that are available are pretty good and the example sentences and whatnot actually make sense.
Desktop:
Zhongwen pop-up dictionary - browser extension. This is pretty useful extension that lets you look up words by hovering over them (unless it does that thing where it just tells you to look up a different entry 🙄). When I encounter words I don't know while reading, I'll turn this on.
Yellowbridge - an online Chinese-English dictionary. I honestly just use this to double check brush stroke orders sometimes but it's a good dictionary for desktop.
Again, probably not that helpful but that's all I really have personally!

Open Call To Fanfiction Writers
Hey ya’ll! The 2023 season of The FanFic Maverick Podcast is coming up and we currently have plenty of episode spots to fill! If you are interested in coming on the podcast to talk about your fics and fandoms, please reach out to ChaosBlue at [email protected]. Extra points if you want to talk about fandoms or characters we haven’t already covered in prior seasons! (I’m happy to chat about fandoms we’ve already covered, so that’s okay too!)
FAQs:
Is it true you only interview BNFs on the show?
No. Absolutely not true. This podcast exists to give fanfiction writers a voice, and it does not matter how big or small your following is. YOU matter, and your stories matter. All fic writers are welcome to come on and help me spread the love.
The fics I write are pretty dark and explicit. Is that okay?
Excellent. Delicious. I cover all kinds of fics on the show, from fluffy gen to explicit dark stuff, and everything in between. This show is open minded and firmly anti-censorship.
I want to come on the show but I’m nervous about public speaking.
Me too, friend! Me too! I’m a social anxiety survivor myself and completely understand. To help you feel as comfortable and prepared as possible, I send each guest a basic list of interview questions one week prior to recording in order to give you time to put together notes and think about what you want to say. Do you have anxiety too? I get it! Is English not your first language? No problem! You’ll have some time to prepare. Podcasting can be a little scary, and I completely understand and respect that. But if you’re feeling a little brave and want to give it a try, come talk to me.
Do I have to use my real life name on the show?
No, absolutely not. We stick to fandom names on the show.
I don’t write fics but I love to read fanfiction. Can I still come on the show?
Yes! All the guests we’ve had so far are fic writers, but I’m completely open to chatting with folks who are strictly fanfiction readers.
Do I need any special computer programs or computer equipment to participate?
You’ll need a desktop or laptop, the Google Chrome browser, some earbuds or earphones, and a working mic. That’s it.
All my love to the amazing fanfiction community out there! Keep on rollin’!

Do you think you could possibly summarise what was said in the Clark Stacey interview if you don't mind? I'm struggling to follow and understand it without subtitles sadly
NO SAME. listening to the ajc segment (especially the latter half) was super difficult with the loud music overlaying it and the instagram video player not having a rewind feature. so.... i sat down and transcribed it! there might be some "uh's" and "um's" i missed near the end, but it should be mostly accurate to everything he said. read it below the cut!
I'm Clark Stacey, I'm the, uh, ceo of Wildworks, and, uh, I'm, uh… Gosh, what would my relationship t- to Animal Jam be? Uh, benevolent overlord? I guess? Maybe? Do people have questions about Classic? Really? [laughs] I saw your thread, and it's seemed like classic players are uh- are very active and have a lot that they want to know. Um, well let me- let me cover a couple of things, I think the last time that you and I talked, we talked about some of the difficulties with adding content to classic and… Just the way It's put together. But, very quickly for those who are- are not familiar, um, uh- Classic was a browser-based flash game, uh, flash is no longer supported by browsers, and is generally frowned upon by the big tech companies out there. So the only way to continue running Classic on your desktop computer, is to put it in this software wrapper called Electron, and Electron basically, uh, contains a mini web browser in it, and it runs… Animal Jam in a contained web browser environment on your computer. Uh, it- it kind of slows some of the performance down, it's not a great solution, but it's uh, it enables um, us to continue playing it. It-it compounds the difficulty of putting new stuff in Classic, because for… For flash games, and the way that we made Classic, was we would take 3D models of animals, and characters, and then we would render out 2D animation frames, um, and the reason that we did that, because flash is a 2D uh, animation program, but uh- The reason we did that is because we can create this kind of cool 3D look to the characters, um, but then have them- have our software spit out uh, 2D frames. So that means that for every item… Thousands upon thousands of items that is in Animal Jam, every hat or scarf or anything else, it has been… Placed and situated on every animal in the game, and frames have been rendered out for the animation of that animal, with that scarf, in that color, uh, for every single item in the game.
It means if there are hundreds of thousands of frames of animation, and going and adding things, or changing anything, is just a super labor intensive process. Now that- that's not to say new content can't be added, I think that more explains the- the difficulty or challenge in bringing AJ classic to a new platform, like WEBGL. And… Y'know, recreating i-it as a browser based game. Um, because… Essentially, all of that… Work, would have to be redone, rerendered, uhh, to be optimized for- for that platform. Um, and that's a massive undertaking. Um, now t-the possibility of us undertaking that massive thing, uh, went up considerably when were acquired by Nazara last uh, what's August, September? Um, because one of the benefits of being part of the Nazara network, is y'know, they have a tremendous resources with uh, uhh, with animators and artists, um based in India and abroad, and they can bring to bear um, y'know, an army that we can't. We're um, we're a much smaller company, and uh, maintaining just what we're doing is uh, kinda keeps our dance card pretty full. Um, so… Taking… Creating the Animal Jam experience that uhhh, is drawn heavily from Classic, may not be a direct port of everything in Classic, but does extend uh, the Classic experience, is on the Wildworks roadmap, there is WEBGL research that we're doing that's ongoing there, uh, I have played level demos of Animal… Animal Jam y'know, the… What you would recognize as kinda a- Y'know, Jamaa Township and some core areas in Animal Jam, running in WEBGL, and it's awesome. Um, that, the- still a long, long way away from uh, from a product that we can put out. Uh, but it is um, y'know, it's not something that we've taken our eyes off of, we're certainly… Y'know, our commitment to Classic itself has not changed. Um, and I will say… That uhhh, there is… Something pretty exciting and new coming to Classic very soon, um, I think that it will be a…. Uh, a blast from the past, for uh, for some of our older Classic players, but, uh, but kind of remade for- for this generation. And I'm- I'm excited for people t- to see it and start talking about it. I think they'd be pretty psyched.
20 questions in your Instagram thread about Classic, so that's… That's basically everything I know, you now know everything I know, and it's perfectly safe, it's not going anywhere, uh, there's some technical housekeeping thats probably overdue there, uh, particularly rebuilding the installer, which bugs me every time I look at it. Uh, but it- no, we're not, we're not taking it down, it's not going anywhere.

Most of you are totally computer literate, so this will not be useful, but I was just reminded while reading a fic of the time that I met an older woman who worked at a high-security job.
She was always frustrated that she had to log out or shut down her computer every time she got up to get coffee or whatever, because it would close all her programs, but she wanted to be safe.
Her entire mind was blown when I showed her that you can lock the computer (windows button + L on windows) and still leave all your programs up. ❤️ She was really sweet and grateful and excited about it, because now she didn't have to restart everything every time.
Share with a friend or ask for their keyboard shortcuts! You never know what you're missing, it could ease your entire work day! Feel free to drop suggestions here too!
I also love:
Alt-tab (switch between programs)
3-finger swiping on windows (hide every program so you see the desktop and vice versa)
Ctrl-s (for the love of saved progress, ctrl-s to save)
Prtscrn (screenshots, go Ctrl-v to paste in word or wherever after to take the pic)
Ctrl-n on notepad++ and other text editors (new tab)
Ctrl-t (new tab in browsers)
Ctrl-tab (switch between tabs in browsers, add the shift key to go the other direction)
Ctrl-a (select all--use with caution lol)

Things that help with focus/productivity, while I'm thinking about it.
This is by no means a comprehensive list but as someone who struggles with keeping up with workflow (especially going back to college), and balancing taking real breaks and how my brain works/keeps up with tasks, I've tried a lot of different apps, methods, and other such stuff -- especially stuff targeted toward ADHD brains and such.
So here is a non-exhaustive list of things I've tried and my rough opinions on them. A Disclaimer: I prefer handwriting things and tend to lose or forget things if they are on a screen. So please take any application/browser use with that grain of salt.
Notion
Calendar, wiki-maker, to-do list tracker, automation and innovation that excites. I get very overwhelmed in Notion, there's so much you can do there, but I get the interest in how it works and such. I use it to track my reading list (a snippet shown below) and a few other things that I don't really want to put somewhere else (because the tables on Notion auto-format, which is nice), so it's like a good 4/10 for me.
Tumblr media
Obsidian
The markdown file creator and organization vault system. It's daunting to get into, a bit confusing at first, but there's a ton of videos on how to get started and how to get organized and it's so nice to have everything link together in a way that follows a legitimate train of thought. You will have to force it to be your second brain, but I like it so much better than other note-taking apps. 9/10 (it is so terrifying to get into). Bonus, though, look at my baby:
Tumblr media
Google Calendar
yanno, one of the OGs. I want to use Microsoft calendar but that application has crashed every device I have tried to open it on. Google Calendar is good for organizing events, doing all the stuff calendar's do, and setting up recurring events and editing them with little hassle. I don't work in a team or need anyone to look at my calendar's except me, so I can't speak to that functionality, but I know it's used by a lot of people for that reason. 7/10 just because I only recently learned how to customize colors.
Microsoft Calendar
just to be fair. It would be an amazing application: integrated to-do list that is in-app, a very clean weekly look, sticky notes, all of it is hooked directly into the window you're looking at your emails at, it can auto-set reminders on a separate tab for you. Except, again, it has crashed every single piece of technology I own, including my university desktops. Just from opening it. 2/10 for wasted potential. If it works for you, I am so happy for you, but I cannot get it to work for me and that's what I'm focused on here.
Bullet Journaling
Another classic. Ryder Carrol was on something else. Quick, efficient, a great way to use up the notebooks you bought that you swore you'd use and then didn't touch for months because it "wasn't the right thing to use it for". You don't need the special dot-grid book, you don't need fancy fucking layouts. You just need a pen, some kind of notebook, and a list of things you need to get done. I love being extra about it, but there's no reason to. It's a good planner, I like having a physical copy of my life to look at and organize my thoughts with, and it's fun to do. 9/10 for easy onboarding and versatile creativity.
Various "Calendar/tracker/etc" Apps
I've gone through the gauntlet on these. Productivity apps that "plant a tree" so long as you don't use your phone so you can get stuff done, group calendar programs and browser applications, minimalist to-do lists on your phone, maximalist to-do lists on your phone, Habitica, etc. Fully ymmv on any of those, I do recommend checking out the to-do lists if you need them, but unless you have a team to manage, you don't need a calendar that isn't Google/iCal/Microsoft realistically.
Sticky Notes
Bad. Terrible idea. I hate doing it, I never remember them, and it feels wasteful. If it works for you, I'm so happy for you (genuine), but I hate it. 1/10.
White Board
Like a physical one. Full opposite of Sticky Notes, I'm not gonna lie. It's delightful, I love having it, it's not wasteful in the same way, and there's a satisfaction to erasing shit off that board. If you can afford a big one, get a big one. I have a desk one and I love it it's so nice to have. 10/10 no notes.
There's not a lot else I can think of at the moment, but thank you for reading if you've gotten this far. I do have YouTube recommendations if you would like to learn to use (say) Obsidian or Notion. I also have videos on formatting Google Calendar.

so ever since I started having vision problems over a decade ago, I've been experimenting with different accessibility extensions to make things usable. if anyone wants a jumping off point for themselves, here's my current set-up:
tech accessibility settings
greyscale (generally found under the 'colour filters' accessibility setting of phones and computers. I have it saved as a shortcut so I can turn it on and off as needed)
text scaling (also in accessibility menus. this one can be hit or miss, since a lot of programs aren't affected by the size you set it to. and some programs ARE affected, but in ways that create their own problems. like text being so large it clips into other images. it can take a lot of fiddling to make this one usable)
Firefox extensions
Midnight Lizard (changes a site's colour scheme)
Mobile Dyslexic (changes everything to dyslexic friendly font)
EPUB Reader (opens files of that type in browser)
Read Aloud (reads text you highlight aloud, rather than reading everything on every page. I don't use this one often because I also have audio processing issues but it comes in handy)
other
desk humidifier (my eyes are drier than a desert)
glasses with red lenses (these are new to me! had them for a few months and they've been way better than the sunglasses I used to wear 24/7. got them from Axon Optics)
big computer monitor (when my last laptop broke I replaced it with a desktop. it was a good call - I was able to get a really big screen on sale. it's helped make zooming in on things more effective)

just to preface im saying all this in good faith but blik thats just not true, computer science grades are low (at least here) and some kids in my class barely know how to operate a computer. one girl wanted to pay me to do her excel work for her
like yeah a bunch of teens have computer knowledge but that's mostly the ones with free access to the internet, some people just weren't or couldnt be interested in that? idk what theyre doing in their free time because im chronically online myself but like i didnt read that post as op shitting on teens not knowing how a machine works its just that genuinely i feel like knowledge on how to operate computers and the web is lower then it should be. even with coputer classes! i mean, school isnt everything? for example, i had to take german for two years but i still cant form a sentence. even though i was taught it. so yk thats just what i think
yeah it's nothing on you and i'm not taking this personally! it's just from my experience (i'm not 15 or younger, but it's only a few years difference so the curriculum did not change in like 3-4 years) in elementary school you were taught how to use programs like word to write essays and they literally taught you how to open a browser. i already knew that at the time (i was like 6 i think?) but i know i was probably not in the average. what i'm saying is that my school wasn't a highly funded school and even they had computer classes. like even by that point me and every single one of my classmates had a desktop and home and had never touched a phone before. idk if i'm genuinely misunderstanding the point or if i'm just more privilaged than i thought i was but who knows ha. again, not mad! just confused and you're free to correct me lol

this is probably not a good idea
Technology is unreliable. I'm the anal geek who has not just one backup of everything but TWO backups in different places.
I don't rely on "cloud" tech at all. I don't trust services because the owners can do whatever they want.
But it's so frustrating to have Diigo (social bookmarking), Evernote (note taking and storage with cloud-like backup and available on multiple devices) and Google Docs all with different info.
I've got:
all the fanfic files saved on my computer (easy backups)
the bookmarks saved in Diigo (hard-ish backups)
the files and bookmarks saved in Evernote (hard backups)
the files saved in Docs (slow backups)
They're all organized into folders, and both Diigo and Evernote have tagging for easy search.
But none of them care connected at all! And I haven't found a good one-size-fits-all program.
So every time I want to save a fic, I either have to decide which one I want to save it in or save it in all the places. That's time consuming.
Diigo also has a browser add-on, which is EXTREMELY convenient because my memory sucks and it tells me when I've already been someplace so I don't re-read fics constantly without knowing. It also has a cache feature, which is awesome.
Google Drive now has the ability to sync across my desktop and Evernote, so any changes I make in my desktop automatically gets updated in Drive/Docs and Evernote.
But this is SCARY. I could fuck things up badly with a mistake or a virus (which I haven't had since my early days of being a geek but it can happen any time).
But... CONVENIENCE 😭
I also want to be able to share fics with people easily, and the easiest way is granting access to Docs, which would be sharing a fic from my own computer, which is fine for friends, but just throwing it out there to anybody who asks is weird even if it's view only.
Now that I have all the fics I recently downloaded from a friend, I want to have them all in the same place. That's going to take a lot of organizing, and I need to decide on this before working with over 1 million files.
I fight depending on a tech service this strongly, but the features and convenience are so tempting!
Maybe I could just do more frequent backups?
Seriously if anybody ever built a service that did all this AND made it easy to do backups, I would pay for it.

The has() selector
Okay so—I've been playing around with CSS code for site skins on Ao3 for a while now, and it turns out they let you do some pretty bonkers specific things, including:
1. hiding all fics with a particular tag   1a. (unless it has a particular other tag)   1b. (or all fics with a specific combination of tags) 2. blocking everything except for a certain whitelist of tags 3. hiding crossovers with too many fandoms 4. hiding fics with any ship containing a specific character (romantic only, platonic only, or both) 5. blocking tags specifically for fics with certain ratings, categories, or completeness 6. putting fun highlights on specific tags
Some of which can't be done with Ao3's built-in filtering system, and all of which can be done without any external programs or browser extensions! It's literally just the site skins. I'm planning to post everything I've found so far and link them together on their own page, though that might take me a minute.
This first post going to start with just the has() selector, which is how most of the filtering I've figured out works, and is pulling heavily from Permablocking Specific Tags - Site Skin by Eli0t, which goes into a lot of great detail about the has() selector and how to use it. I want to give a brief description of that stuff here first, because almost everything else I talk about with site skins and filtering is going to use that selector.
First off: for most desktop browsers, plus Chrome and Safari on mobile, as far as I know the latest versions support the has() selector.
(Two exceptions to this are Internet Explorer and Firefox—though Firefox has a way to enable it, you just have to poke around in your settings. Go to "about:config" and put "layout.css.has-selector.enabled" into the search bar. With this set to true, the has() selector should work.)
To test that, I recommend creating a new site skin and copying this code into the CSS tab, through the "Write Custom CSS" button near the top when you're editing your skin:
.blurb:has(a) {   background: yellow; }
If the has() selector is working, it should add a yellow background to every fic blurb. (This highlighter code is also a great way to test new filters. Other ways to highlight include "font-weight: bold;" which makes a bunch of the text bold, and "color: blue;" which turns a bunch of it blue.)
To actually use the has() selector to block tags, we just add in the url of that tag. To grab the exact url, you can right-click on a tag on Ao3 and hit "Copy Link". The result of that should look something like this: "https://archiveofourown.org/tags/MyTag/works"
Now, we remove the "https://archiveofourown.org" bit to get this: "/tags/MyTag/works"
And we put it into a has() selector like so:
.blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/MyTag/works"]) {   display: none !important; }
The "display: none !important;" will tell your browser to hide anything with a link to the tag you want to block.
Unfortunately, this does not respect canonical tags. If you have a misspelling, like "MyyTag", then the filter won't be able to see it. The most common problem with this is in relationship tags, where order doesn't matter to Ao3 but will matter to the site skin—"Blorbo Baggins/Steve" and "Steve/Blorbo Baggins" are the exact same ship, but to catch both tags you'll have to add a second filter.
One way to catch more tags with just one filter is to use "*=" instead of "$=", like so:
.blurb:has(a[href*="MyTag"]) {   display: none !important; }
In this case, the filter will catch any tag with a url that contains the phrase "MyTag", including "MyTag is a very good tag", which the first filter would have missed.
Now, it's arguably better to use the built-in Ao3 filtering system for this, since it understands what a canonical tag is—but if you have tags where you'd want to avoid reading even a summary of a fic containing them, particularly trigger tags, this is a great way to avoid seeing them if one happens to be the most recently updated when you go into the filter. It's also extra effective for Archive Warnings, since those have to be the correctly spelled canonical version—so with a couple of these filters you can remove everything containing those warnings from your Ao3 experience, permanently.
An important thing to keep in mind if you're trying to filter a tag—the name of the tag that you see in Ao3 isn't exactly the same as the url attached to it. One big difference is that slashes "/" turn into "*s*", and the "&" symbol becomes "*a*", which affects almost all relationship tags. Another is that spaces become "%20". Also, if you're in a fandom that uses non-latin characters, or one where many characters have multiple names separated by " | ", those are going to use code representations with % signs and a bunch of letters and numbers. It's usually necessary to copy those, so that you know how the url is representing the tag.
The selectors are also case sensitive—a filter blocking anything containing the phrase "MyTag" will ignore the tag "mytag".
If you have a list of tags you'd like to block, there are two slightly different ways to go about it. For situations where you want to block only fics that have every tag in a list, you'll want to chain the has() selectors together like this:
.blurb:has(a[href*="Tag1"]):has(a[href*="Tag2"]):has(a[href*="Tag3"]) {   display: none !important; }
This will hide a fic tagged with all three, but won't touch one that has Tag1 and Tag2, but not Tag3.
On the other hand, you can also put a list of tags into the has() selector like this:
.blurb:has(a[href*="Tag1"], a[href*="Tag2"], a[href*="Tag3"]) {   display: none !important; }
This will block a fic tagged with any of the three tags, regardless of whether or not the other two are present. The same thing can be achieved by adding multiple filters, which is how I've been doing it—I actually only found out you can put multiple elements in the has() selector like an hour ago as I'm writing this.
To do that, simply separate them with commas like so:
blurb:has(a[href*="Tag1"]), blurb:has(a[href*="Tag2"]) {   display: none !important; }
In theory, you can have as many of these as you want. In practice, I've run into issues with my filters failing if I put too many of them in the same site skin. Fortunately, in the "Advanced" tab, which you can get to by hitting "Show" at the very bottom of the edit window of a site skin, there's a section called "Parent Skins", also at the very bottom. Hit "Add Parent Skin", and you can add a  skin as the parent to another skin. This means that the "child" skin will have all the CSS code that any of its parents do.
You can add many parents, so you can have one main skin with a parent skin for each small batch of your filters (around nine or ten usually works for me). And the parent skins can have parent skins of their own as well! So the amount of filters you can have is still functionally unlimited.

Developing on the client-side
The first step in developing on-demand delivery apps is to develop the client side of your application. This involves using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a user interface that allows users to interact with your app and complete tasks. Client-side development also involves using native platform APIs (application programming interfaces) and third-party libraries such as jQuery or Bootstrap.
The most common method of client-side development is via HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript applications that run within a web browser window on any device with an internet connection—including mobile devices like smartphones or tablets as well as traditional computers like laptops or desktops running Windows XP Enterprise Edition (SP3), Windows Vista Business Edition (SP2), Windows 7 Professional Edition SP1 32 bit & 64 bit editions; Macintosh OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard 32 bit & 64-bit editions
Developing on the server-side
Server-side development is the process of creating an application that runs on a remote server and not on the device itself. Server-side development can be done in many different languages and frameworks, such as PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, .NET and Node.js.

The advantage of developing on the server side is that it allows you to scale up your app's functionality without having to worry about maintaining multiple servers or servers with low resources (such as RAM). It also saves money because you don't need to buy expensive hardware for every new version of your app—instead, it's all provided by us!
The cost for app development is comprised of two branches: On the one hand, there is the client-side (iOS and Android), on the other hand, there is the server side.
The cost for app development is comprised of two branches: On the one hand, there is the client-side (iOS and Android), and on the other hand, there is the server side.
The client side of an app is what runs on your mobile device; it's where you'll find all of your content. It’s what most people think of when they hear “mobile app” or “app store".
The server side is where everything happens: data storage, authentication, authorization, and authentication are all performed by servers that live in remote locations. You don't interact with them directly; instead, you use a different kind of software called an API to communicate with them over HTTP requests to access data stored on their servers like photos or videos that have been uploaded by users who have already downloaded our product onto their phones/tablets/computers etcetera...
In case you’re simply getting started and have not done any research yet, here’s a rough overview of what you can expect to pay for a mobile app (startup budget):
In case you’re simply getting started and have not done any research yet, here's a rough overview of what you can expect to pay for a mobile app (startup budget):
Client-side: This includes all costs related to the development of the iOS and Android apps. The developer will be responsible for designing the user interface, integrating it into your existing website or web application, developing specific features such as authentication mechanisms or user accounts management systems, etc., and writing code that makes sure these features work as they should in order to provide users with an enjoyable experience when using your product/service on their mobile devices.
Server-side: The server-side part involves deploying an infrastructure that allows users to access their apps through various channels like email addresses or social media logins so they can register their account before being able to access their content through any means available at the present time (such as SMS). Other types of integrations could include payment options like credit card numbers being stored securely inside databases owned by other companies so there's no need for users to enter sensitive information manually every time they want to access certain services offered by another company; this saves them time instead!

Conclusion
In conclusion, you can expect a mobile app (startup budget) to cost approximately $50,000 for the development of an on-demand delivery app. With that being said, there is no need to stress about how much money it will take to create your own app. You should not only be able to get started quickly but also save money by choosing a reputable company or hiring freelancers instead of investing all in one company at once (i.e., paying for full-time employees).
