Nya's design for my Scorched Au. Also this is my first time drawing Nya with her short hair so that's neat!

Nya's pretty important in this au. With Kai off doing his own thing, Nya ends up training to be a ninja/master of water WAY before she does so in canon since Wu thinks her abilities will be very useful. Which makes sense since you know, Kai is the master of fire. Having a master of water to deal with him would be pretty useful.

Although most of the time when fighting, Nya is trying her best to reason with Kai since she thinks if anyone can talk him down it's her. And while it's true that Nya's really the only one left that Kai cares about, he also sees the fact that Wu started training Nya as a way of replacing him which does not help his mindset at all.

Overall, it's complicated between these two. Obviously Nya doesn't like seeing all these places getting burnt down in Kai's path, but she also doesn't want to lose her brother. Meanwhile Kai doesn't want to hurt his sister, but he also wants to prove that he's good enough to be the Green Ninja so badly that he will burn down anything and anyone standing in his way.

How would the brothers go about getting something spice and/or sugar are chewing on and not supposed to be chewing on out of their mouths, since you know how dogs are when they get into things they shouldn't?

Sugar is a good oupy and generally knows what not to chew on so I think she would just listen to her trainer <3 But if you want Spice to stop chewing something you have to physically wrestle it out of his mouth

me after attempting to get back into sims and realizing i had a lot more to do than play the game

soooo turns out i have condylar resorption, a severe degenerative joint disease that causes gradual bone loss of the mandibular condyles (the bones that are part of the jaw joints, aka the TMJs). this has probably been going on i was a kid but went diagnosed all this time. my symptoms like functional issues, pain, etc. were repeatedly dismissed by doctors my whole life. the pain and dysfunction is increasing more and more by the day.

it's a progressive disease, and nothing can stop it or slow it down until the joints are completely eaten away. the only solution to prevent further bone loss and restore function is a total temporomandibular joint replacement, where the two diseased joints that literally hold my face together are removed and permanently replaced with metal prostheses. aka a major surgery with a 6-12 month recovery 😃

also imagining FC1, in the Tense Meeting i definitely think he had with Edward off-screen, concluding that he can't think of a worse punishment than Edward having to do Thomas's job (deal with the big engines and their shit) for a while

and Edward (who could have definitely thought of something worse, by this point if he'd been grounded in the sheds for even a single day he would have instantly turned to dust) just scarcely, for the sake of pure friendship, trying to work up the nerve to venture to hint that maaaybe the fact that Thomas's job is the worst punishment FC1 could think of was the entire fundamental problem here

I keep thinking about how on earth they would canonize ggy bc like. at this point if they have to sacrifice Gregory screentime of just him to make something we already know actually canon, I would rather just take the screentime, but on the other hand they have to canonize it if they want to do anything at all with that plotline, and that makes me wonder if theyll stick with it as canon in the games at all or just leave it as background knowledge if u read the book 😭

If you want to hear something really wild I’m pretty sure my cousin doesn’t get any PTO or benefits (including health insurance!!!) at her full-time job. Which like. I would say is completely wrong (and it is lmao) but she could totally work somewhere else if she wanted to, but she likes the ~vibes~ of this place and thinks they’re good people (it’s a really small, new business). They brought cake for everyone once which my cousin thought was great and I said “I’d rather have insurance than cake” 🤦‍♀️. I wasn’t popular for that one. Anyway that’s my rant lol

this is a reply to something I reblogged several weeks ago but I forgot to respond. anyway yea the job market in the US is appalling in many ways. no PTO for full time is horrendous even by our standards though. I hope she gets out of there
