Sweet mama.
Joel Miller x reader
Summary: Joel gets baby fever watching the reader play with Tommy and Maria's baby.
Author's note: don't think too hard about the timeline please and thank you. Also, I got baby fever this weekend, so I figured I'd make everyone else have it, too. Also also- I use they/them for the baby since the gender hasn't been revealed in the show

...............................................................
Oh, God. She was all that occupied his mind at the moment.
Life in Jackson was not exactly what Joel had in mind, but even he'd admit, it had its perks.
For example, this scene in front of him.
Y/N on the floor of their shared home with Tommy and Maria's baby.
At first, Joel had very much disliked the idea of babysitting for the night when Tommy asked. But how could he have said no when he saw the way Y/N's face lit up at the very thought?
So, he obviously said yes.
But now, here they were actually doing it.
He was sat on the dusty couch with an old can of beer he had found, sipping occasionally when he fell out of his daydreams.
How can he not enjoy the way she interacted with the kid?
He had seen just how fantastic she could be with Ellie.
Y/N had been with Joel a little less than Tess had. They had had a rocky start, especially right at the beginning.
She was a friend of Bill and Frank's. And Frank had decided that they should meet.
But he knew telling both parties about it would only cause conflict.
So, he didn't tell them at all.
Imagine their surprise when unsuspected visitors appeared in the middle of Y/N's and Frank's tea time.
She pulled her gun on Joel.
Things were tense for a while after that.
But, after some time, they found that they liked each other very much.
Sometimes, Joel worried that they liked one another a little too much.
"You know," Joel finally said to her. "I haven't even been around a kid like this since… well, when it was Sarah, I guess."
She looked up from her spot on the ground as the baby played with the wooden blocks in front of them, "Really?"
He nods, "Don't even know if I remember what to do. Thank God I got you."
She laughs, "You were the one that was a parent. I was just an older sister. That's how I got my experience."
He shrugs, "You have a gift for it."
She smiles, grabbing the 10-month-old. The baby giggles as she lifts them into the air. She walks to the couch, "Here." She holds out the baby to him.
He holds his hands up in surrender, "Nah. You're doing great, Sweetheart. I won't stop ya."
She scoffs, holding the baby close to her chest now with a teasing scoff, "Whatever, Miller."
"I'm serious," He argues, "I like watching you like this. Happy and… God, this looks so fucking natural for you."
"Joel!" She yelled. "Language."
He laughs, "See? You're…" He sighs in thought.
She notices, "What?"
He smiles and shakes his head, "In another world, sweet girl…"
She tilted her head, "Joel, I'm confused."
He stands up, inches from her face now. He gently takes the baby out of her arms and places them in the makeshift playpen. He returns to her quickly.
His arms grab her waist gently. His voice lowers, "If life was different, I'd give you a baby right now."
Her cheeks turned pink, "What?"
He laughs as he buries his face into her neck, "Think about it. You'd be a beautiful mother. God, I'd give you a baby."
Her gaze started to turn hopeful. She had never thought about having a baby.
Her thoughts turned dirty as he started to kiss up her neck slowly.
"A sweet mama." Kiss. "Walking around here with my baby in you." Kiss. "Making every man in here green with envy." Kiss. "You'd be so pretty like that." Kiss. "God, you'd just glow more than you do now."
"Joel…?"
He pulled away at her weak voice.
She looks away in thought. "Do you think… if… if this whole 'cure' thing works with Ellie… You think there may actually be a world we could have a baby in? Where… we could be parents?"
He takes in her features carefully, not realizing just how much his words had affected her. "Well… I… I don't know."
She nods and pulls away from him completely, her wishful thinking over, "Right." She walks back to the baby in the playpen, "Not worth even hoping for."
He pulls her back into his firm chest, and circles her waist with his arms, "Hey. Don't say that. We'll just… leave it on the back burner. Yeah?"
She nods. "Back burner. Okay."
The two watch the baby in front of them play happily, blissfully unaware of the world they all lived in.
Y/N sat in the backseat with an unconscious Ellie.
She was still shaking at the sight of seeing Joel in a murderous rage in the hospital.
She knew he was protective of her and Ellie but she had never seen him do anything like that before.
She cradled the girl's head carefully in her lap, gently running her fingers through Ellie's greasy hair.
She looked up to catch Joel's eyes in the rearview mirror. "Guess we're not getting that cure, are we?"
He shook his head, "Guess not."
"Say goodbye to the chance at parenthood." She sighed.
They sat in silence for a while.
She watched Ellie carefully to check for signs of her waking up.
And she heard Joel's light chuckle.
She looked up, "What?"
He looked at her though the mirror again, "Nothing, sweet mama."
"I'm not… this is…" She glanced down at Ellie, and back up at Joel.
She smiled slowly as she reveled in Joel's observance.
"I guess…" she noted, "I guess we've already been doing it."
Joel nodded, "Guess it really was made for you."

I’m gonna yell about “Alpha’s Magical Christmas” now.
So.
So.
Ah jesus christ almighty wtf.
I’d have liveblogged this last night but my phone was almost dead and, well, I don’t think I could have done so and not thrown my phone in a fit of irrational rage.
So. Let’s start off with the fact that I’ve never seen it before now, My husband got me the MMPR box set a few years back (MMPR seasons 1-3 plus Alien Rangers PLUS Special Features like: the live show, bts stuff, various featurettes, and yes... the reason of the post being made... Alpha’s Magical Christmas) and I still haven’t gotten around to checking out all of the stuff on the Special Features disks.
Let me say that I have seen mentions of it in passing - mostly on the super sentai/Power Rangers wiki. So I at least knew it existed but I did not know much beyond Alpha is having a Christmas thing and that’s it.
Well... okay. So the premise is to be expected from 90s kids shows. Alpha’s feeling lonely on Christmas because the Rangers are off helping Santa at the North Pole and is decorating the command center. Zordon surprises him with a Christmas tree as a gift. Zordon arranges for some kids to come and hang out and do Christmas songs and activities and such. Nothing to get angry about so far. Just your typical kids show stuff. Really cheesy, but alright. Festive and I’m having a good time watching it with the husband - who had also never seen it before and was going in blind. Then, part-way through, they check in on the Rangers and Santa. Okay, fair enough, gotta get the Rangers in there somehow. Keep the kids hooked for just even a quick flash of them on screen.
And what’s this? Pause. Go back a few frames. Oh! I thought so! Tommy’s in the Green Ranger costume! Cool! So this happened BEFORE he lost his powers! Awesome!
Now, back to various Christmas songs and fun activities with Alpha and the kids.
And then there’s a montage of various clips from the show.
Okay, that’s kinda cool I guess.
Only....
Wait.... Wait a minute.....
Pause.
Go back to the start of the montage. Restart it.
Thought so.
WTF IS WHITE RANGER BULLSHIT DOING HERE? MIXED IN WITH VARIOUS BITS WITH TOMMY IN GREEN AND LOOK GREEN RANGER UNIFORM! This is clearly GREEN RANGER era! WTF? WTF?!
And then back to more songs and fun with the kids.
My brain is now broken, and I’m just staring at the screen trying to make sense of what I’ve just seen.
Okay so...
The kids all get sent home. Each with a gift they can’t open until the next day.
And then.... what’s this? the Rangers are coming to visit after all?! HURRAY! This means we’ll finally get a solid answer about WHICH DAMN POWER TOMMY HAS RIGHT NOW!
Alpha’s told that some of them decided to go home to their families - it being Christmas Eve and all.... And the Others are still at the Peace Conference.
.....wait what?
And then three Rangers show up. Billy, Kimberly, and Tommy. None of them are wearing helmets.
Tommy is... he’s in green.
At some point Aisha, Rocky, and Adam are shown on the viewing globe again in reference to them deciding to go home to their families for the rest of the holiday.
But.... but...... peace conference.
PEACE FUCKING CONFERENCE!
GREEN POWERS LOST! LOST I SAY! HE DON’T GET THOSE BACK TILL HE’S LIKE 30!
AND THEN THEY GO BACK TO THE FUCKING NORTH POLE TO KEEP HELPING SANTA! THEY JUST FUCK RIGHT ON OFF LIKE IT’S NOTHING!
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BULLSHIT!
Tumblr media
FUCK YOU ALPHA’S MAGICAL CHRISTMAS!
FUCK YOU!
FUCK YOU!
WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU FIT IN THE TIMELINE!!!
FUCK. YOU. I HATE IT.
10/10 will watch again because it’s just that fucking cheesy and perfect to add to my “terrible christmas movies/specials” watch list.

~Makeover time! [4/?]
A series 🙄 in which I take three sims from the first round of TS4 sims I ever made–created before I had every CC slider and skin detail in existence and prior to the (relative) refinement of my sim sculpting abilities–and fix ‘em up only by tweaking, pulling, and pushing; no preset-swapping here! Changes to skintones, skin details, hairstyles, and makeup are allowed where doing so would further bring the sims’ appearances more in line with my original intentions.
"[4/?]” because maybe there will be more some day :P
So I feel like I have to say that I’m not doing these makeovers to make my sims better looking, just in case you’re side-eyeing these.
This is the last round for now, three more brothers: Rocky (whose original version was in my recent 50s lookbook); Ace; and Jimmy.
Why does Jimmy not look at all like his brothers? Well, in their save, that very question was one of the ~continued issues~ in his parents’ tumultuous marriage.
Why does Jimmy now--and hear me out--why does the new Jimmy look vaguely like a young Tom Hanks? ikr!?
(I’ve played a full save with these three dummies so the writing beyond the cut is A. LOT. There are more pics there, too.)
Tumblr media
Rocky is a favorite of mine but like so many of my early faves, his face... As you know, I am an incurable default skin swapper-outer and because of that he never looks consistent + he always looks a little unformed, a little cartoonish, on top of having a very unmanipulated, MM-style face to begin with. I think his makeover settles him somewhat so for right now I’ll take it. I can see myself returning him to his original form down the line, however, because it’s the one I know + he looks a bit too mature in his new version.
The day I made him, the first thing he did as soon as the lot loaded was fire up his gaming console and the second thing he did was rage quit the game he was playing; I was hooked. I wish him the best in my new save but I think he’s gonna have another hard road on account of being the uncontrolled emotions king! Shirking off work and then getting fired and then having the audacity to claim unfair treatment king! King of coming on too strong to women out of his league! King of letting his immaturity and meddlesome parents keep his romantic entanglements from progressing past a single night. King of having his mother barge into his bedroom while he and a lady friend are in bed and then king 👏 of 👏 fighting 👏 with 👏 his 👏 mother 👏 in 👏 front 👏 of 👏 half 👏 dressed 👏 said 👏 lady 👏 friend!
Why those clapping hands look like feature-less hen heads... I just--

Tumblr media
In the pictures on the left, Ace doesn’t look that bad!, so you’re going to have to trust me that he’s just really... um... reallllllllllllly unattractive in-game. Generally I don’t care about that (#allsimsarevalid) but the issue for him was his proportions and if I’m the one crafting those proportions, like, there’s some missteps I cannot abide. I said in this very post that I didn’t start these makeovers to make a bunch of supermodels but I felt like I owed Ace something more so yes, it was a goal of mine to make him kinda cute. I feel that I retained his Ace-ness while making him a total qt 3.14. Look at those dimples. Look at those lashes! Lil lamb. Weird little angel statue. Little garden cherub.
Ace's life... man, idk. Struck out with the ladies. Never found his passions. In denial, even as a young adult, about the extent of his parents’ fractured marriage. He took to programming and worked on it autonomously but never achieved greatness because he ended up with some custom trait that caused him to want to sleep, like, twenty-one hours of the day? and that kind of put a wrench in things, never mind that he came from a family that thought computer stuff was for nerds lololololol
All that was bad enough but Ace’s lowest point came when the mother of his children (yes, he found love!) seduced his dad and abandoned the kids to start a new family. But that’s a story for another time. Now, all that happening with his original face? Pathetic and maybe deserved. All that happening with his new face? Um, it wouldn’t and it won’t! Dimples, lashes, lamb.
(Additional fun fact: the mother of Ace’s children was Bridgette, from this post.)

Tumblr media
When I created Jimmy he was a teenager. Here, he is a young adult. Like his brothers, he was a hot mess, but a cool version. He was the neighborhood heartthrob even looking like a baby-faced adult gangster who disguised himself as a newsboy. He’s forty-four but he acts sixty-four and he looks nine! Extra, extra, he says sardonically before pulling a tommy gun from his satchel of newspapers and riddling the facade of your hideaway with a couple-a rounds, see?
My original plan for Jimmy was to not necessarily be “good-looking” but to have all the qualities of someone who the neighborhood/town accepts is good-looking. Oh, that hair! Oh, cheekbones and freckles! Oh, those light eyes. And on and on. 🙄 The first Jimmy could get by as a teen, but his appearance didn’t translate to any older life stage; through elder-hood, he continued to look like a small doll, a child star past his prime. Embarrassing! Now he’s better. When he doesn’t come back after being the sim version of drafted to fight in the sim version of the Vietnam War during the sim version of the year 1969 it’ll be all the more tragic because, you see, it’s just so much worse when someone pretty dies!
(Wow, not me spoiling a plot point I’ll never work through from a story I’ll never write/share!)
Original Jimmy was a real dog and a cheater to his sweet little girlfriend and a jerk to his brothers and thanks to me not checking off the proper settings when I first started using MCCC, he--again, as a teenager 💆‍♀️--entered into an on-and-off affair with Paola (from this post) and they had two kids that her cuck husband pretty much raised while Jimmy kept flitting around town sowing his seed all the while having the gall to force his sweet little girlfriend to end her (surprise but wanted) pregnancy and then dumping her for her troubles. Guess those promise rings meant nothing. If any sim deserves a smirk it’s him so I gave him one.
For the record, Rocky and Ace and Jimmy did in fact all have the same parents because I set it up that way in CAS. To think their mom and dad fought about this when there were so many other things they didn’t like about one another...

Felt like sharing a fic of mine. Set immediately following the Turbo Power Rangers movie.
Moving On
"He seems happy." Kimberly's mind was wandering as she focused her eyes across the room to see Tommy sitting at a table with Katherine. She was telling him something and he was intently following her every word. A huge smile moved across his face and he leaned back in his chair. His eyes never left Kat.
Kim gave a half smile before lowering her gaze down to the drink in her hand. She took a sip, all the while taking a good look around the Juice Bar. Ernie had graciously let the group use it after hours to throw a little celebration. He didn't know what they were celebrating, but in truth, it was defeating Maligore and successfully taking on new Turbo powers.
"Hey," a voice from behind Kim, made her immediately smile. Something that happened often the last couple of weeks. She turned to see Jason standing behind her with his hands on the back of her chair. He smiled down at her before swiftly moving a chair out next to her and sitting down. Kim watched him as he looked around the room before his eyes settled on her.  "This is nice huh?"
"What?" Kim questioned.
"Being back here... I mean for you, it's been a while," Jason clarified. Kim nodded.
"Oh... yeah, it's like I never left in some ways," Kim replied. She could tell Jason was studying her expression. His gaze gave her a slight feeling of butterflies in her stomach. This was also something that was happening more and more around Jason these days.
"What's on your mind?" Jason quizzed as he folded his hands on the table and rested them near Kimberly's. She looked up at him and gave a slight shrug.
"I guess... just..." Kim started to be generic with her response but knew he'd never buy it if she didn't tell the truth. Jason could always seem to read the group. They found it terribly difficult to keep things from him, so most of the time surprise parties and the like were off the table with Jase. He was smiling as he awaited her to finish her sentence. She was struggling.
"Tommy?" Jason questioned ducking his head ever so slightly as he said his name, a movement that caught Kim's attention, but she quickly shifted her focus to what he had said.
"Yeah," Kim answered truthfully.
"Everything alright with you two?" Jason asked as he looked past Kim to see Tommy still chatting away with Kat, and now Rocky who had joined the conversation.
"I guess so... I mean... we haven't really talked," Kim replied.
"That's what's bothering you huh?" Jason questioned. Kim briefly glanced over at Tommy and then back to Jason.
"I don't know... I am not even sure why we should talk," Kim responded. Jason nodded and took a deep breath.
"You regretting things?" Jason asked, his tone was low as if he wasn't sure he should pry.
"No," Kim answered. "If you mean breaking things off."
"That's what... that's what I mean," Jason answered, clearing his throat in the middle of the sentence and sitting up in his chair fully.
"It's just... weird I guess," Kim continued. "Seeing him with Kat... and happy... and he and I..."
Kim shrugged before taking another drink from her cup. She glanced up at Jason who seemed deep in thought. He looked past her momentarily before raising his eyebrows and resuming eye contact with her.
"I think you may get your chance to talk to him," Jason said. Kim started to respond but felt the air change to her left and turned to see Tommy sinking into a chair next to her.
"Hey," Tommy greeted them both with a smile. "How are you two feeling?"
"Great," Jason replied and Kim nodded.
"Wasn't sure if there was any residual... uh... energy from the pit," Tommy stated his tone instinctively lower than normal given the subject.
"Doesn't seem to be," Jason said with a shrug, his eyes moving to Kim. She affirmed his response with a shake of her head. Jason glanced back and forth between the two. "Hey... I'm gonna get me a drink, be back in a bit."
"Okay," Kim responded with a nod as she watched him get up. His hand briefly squeezed her shoulder as he walked by and she couldn't suppress the grin it prompted. She was snapped back to her senses by Tommy slightly clearing his throat. She turned and made maybe the first real bit of eye contact with him in months. She offered a tentative smile, which he returned. He seemed to be searching for something to say, and she knew his struggle.
"So..." Tommy began. "Florida treating you okay?"
"I can't complain," Kim answered.
"That's good," Tommy said as he folded his hands in front of him and stared at them intently.
"Listen," both spoke in unison and stopped just as abruptly. Smiles were shared.
"You go ahead," Tommy urged her.
"I was just..." Kim began. She looked at Tommy and then briefly over at Kat who was now engaged in a new conversation with Jason at the drink table. She briefly made eye contact with Jason before turning her attention back to Tommy. "You seem happy."
"Yeah, I guess I am," Tommy responded, considering how things were going for him. He cocked his head slightly at Kim. "Kim is there something you wanted to say?"
"A lot of things I guess," Kim answered as she sat up a little straighter. "The main thing is I wanted to say I'm sorry."
"For?" Tommy questioned.
"Sending the letter," Kim answered.
"What do you mean?" Tommy asked furrowing his brow.
"I mean... breaking up that way... there should have been another way but I just didn't know how," Kim explained.
"Oh," Tommy responded. "I mean... you couldn't help how you felt... I'm not mad about the letter, Kim."
"I should have called, or even tried to come to visit... say it in person," Kim stated.
"I mean..." Tommy sighed. "In theory that might be better, but... it would have all still came out the same."
There was a silence between them as Kim considered his words. He didn't seem hurt and she was truly grateful for that.
"I understand why you sent it... at first... I was shocked... but the more I thought about it... I realized it was a long time coming," Tommy continued. Kim listened intently as he spoke. "I mean... it was silly to think things would stay the same forever, especially with the circumstances."
Tommy shrugged before running a hand through his hair. He smiled at Kim who returned it.
"Seeing you happy makes me happy," Kim said before reaching across the table and giving his hand a quick squeeze.
"Same," Tommy responded. "Are you and the guy..."
"No," Kim replied. She considered the subject of the letter and her eyes quickly found Jason who was laughing at something Adam had said.
"Didn't things work out?" Tommy asked.
"I'm not sure... I mean... it's complicated," Kim replied.
"But you are happy?" Tommy questioned.
"I am," Kim responded with positivity and a smile.
"I’m glad," Tommy replied before he turned to find Kat sitting back down at their table. He grinned upon seeing her and then turned back to Kim.
"I'm gonna head back over there, but..." Tommy paused. "I just want you to know... I hope we can always be friends."
"I hope so too," Kim replied as she watched Tommy get up and walk away.
Kim finished off the last of her drink before making her way towards the exit and stepping out into the slightly cool night air. She rubbed her arms as the cool air brushed the bare skin as she walked out into the parking lot of the Youth Center.
Kim glanced up at the night sky and admired the stars burning bright overhead. She was so transfixed she didn't hear the quiet footsteps behind her. She, however, smelled his distinctive scent, the faintest of aftershave.
"How'd that go?" Jason asked as he settled in next to her and joined her in stargazing.
"I think it went well," Kim replied, shifting her eyes over at him. She admired his features in the soft moonlight. Handsome in a way most guys she'd met could never be. Somehow managing to be both boyishly so and yet rugged at the same time.
"I'm glad to hear that," Jason replied, his gaze lowering and looking out across the lot.
"He seems happy..." Kim said.
"He is," Jason agreed. "He and Kat... it's going well."
"He asked me if I was happy," Kim said. Jason turned to her.
"What did you say?" Jason inquired.
"I am," Kim answered.
"I think..." Jason began to speak but stopped when Kim turned to him. Something about the look she was giving him.  He started to question it but wondered if the time was right.
"Jason?" Kim spoke.
"Yeah?" Jason replied.
"Wanna get out of here?" Kim questioned with a gesture toward his Jeep. He followed her gesture and then turned back to the building. He smiled as he turned to look at Kim.
"I do," Jason responded. They both began to make their way in step across the parking lot. Neither were as surprised as they would have expected when their hands intertwined along the way.

MY THOUGHTS ON EPISODE 98!!!
SPOILERS ALERT!!!
And adding this to the pilot episodes, which are four in two episodes, we finally reached 100 episodes of Ninjagooooo!!! 🎊🎊🎊 YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Tumblr media
I can't believe we really achieved this, like, I remember getting interested because of that elevator gag with Jay in season 1, now look at this!!! 😍😍 I love this show, I love how much I have grown during it, and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for it!
And after getting all hyped with this, let's get to the episode! 😎
I wanna start by saying that, back when I watched it, I really liked Day of the Departed, but I would've LOVED IT if it was a season. Like, it's clear that a lot could've been done, and it came out really freaking cool but not mindblowing (and I kinda expect that from my favorite show, not sorry 😙)
My opinion on March of the Oni is similar, I definitely enjoyed more than DotD because it was basically a season of four episodes, it's just that some parts went by a little fast.
But you're asking if I liked it, right?
OF COURSE I DID! ❤❤
And let me tell, with the amount of parts coming from pilots and first season, I can die happily 😆 That's what I love about Ninjago, even when I think it's not perfect, there are still moments that I fall in love with immediately!
LET'S GO THEN!
For the start, Faith's story. I'm so sorry for the poor dragon hunters, can't even have the time to fully redeem themselves that darkness arises 😅
To be honest, when the ninja arrived and Wu was smiling at them like waiting for good news, I was too worried for Cole and was grieving like all of the ninja 😢 Then it reminded me of that one scene in Kung fu Panda with Shifu being all "ah yeah, I really need good news" with his messanger and it turns out it's fricking Tai Lung coming for him 😂😂
But yeah, that was heavy. And Garmy was still merciless with his brother, as much as with his wife (weird that I kinda enjoyed that part? He never went all bad against her, not even as Lord Garmadon. He is full beast now)
And oh man. WU'S REACTION.
One of his first pupil, the first leader of the team; not only that, Cole was always there when Wu turned into a baby and grew up, he basically became a second father for him in a weird but cute way. Can you imagine the grief? It would be really sad if he got to remember him being to affectionate with his infant version, singing for him 😭😭 (woa, fanfiction idea!)
Well played, I must say, Ninjago crew. I'm already on feels mode 👏 But don't think you can fool me again writers, I'm not that easy to impress for y-
Tumblr media
*throw away the pizza she had for dinner* NO PRIMARY NEEDS WILL COME BEFORE THIS, KAI FREAKING SMITH IS BACK OMG YAS YAS YAAAAAASSSS!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤
... I screamed at that part. A LOT.
It's been AGES! He wore it two pilot episodes, period, he looks so young 😍 From this point of few I appreciate that he changed design, it's like he really grew up from before. And he looked so worried, or disappointed? Maybe because he gave up on being blacksmith a long time ago for doing something he's actually good at, and going back again it's like saying he didn't improve at all...
... or maybe I just overthink Kai all day all night
MY FLAME BABE 😍
Well, forge happens, no Ray and Maya but it was kinda hopeless anyway 😅 I really want them to come back, come on Tommy!
And bam, golden weapons. BAM 👊
They made me feel way more excited than I thought, I really squeaked all over while they were fighting! ☺ Back then there was nothing more important and powerful, and now they are back. But I think the golden power in them is weak? I guess they forged in a different way the first time, or maybe they need to be charged by golden power user. I don't know but good job anyway, my hot blacksmith 😚
Meanwhile, in another dark place...
I screamed again 😅
I was just super happy to see Cole fully alive and not frozen and stuff. I thought it had a deeper meaning him moving, but then I guess he woke up in time? And wasn't in the middle of the toxic darkness, thank lord 😵😵
Or maybe they'll explain it better next season and it's important? You never know
Kirby did his best at talking to himself 😂 Rocky you gotta stop loving your best bud that much, you were panicking just like him 💙 Also the part when he was so close to despair, man if I wanted nothing more but broke my phone screen and give him a hug 😢
Luckily, cuteness came to my rescue
Tumblr media
"WE THOUGHT WE LOST YOU, YOU... YOU... YOU JERK!!"
My bruise heart is beating faster? My bruise heart is beating faster 🖤💙🖤💙 Sorry, can't help it, moving on!
I missed some full team fighting action! I wanted more, especially with the new golden weapons and how amazing the landscape look now near the monastery ☺ But it was cool, and I love Nya and Lloyd fighting back to back since they don't have golden weapons! Also Wu is getting so active in season 9 and 10 😊 And Faith is a queen 🖤
While we're at it, my idea is that Garmadon's doubts about his evilness are meaningful, but not for now. I like that they didn't push him into full redemption, it would've been too early. He clearly wants to know more about himself and his family. I think that the next adventure will be important for him, even if I still don't know how, maybe a full life-changing field trip (if so, my warlord, I have a half burnt prince from the Fire Nation to recommend 🔥)
... I did enough serious stuff for him, right? Well then...
Tumblr media
... OKAY I CAN'T 😂😂😂😂
Like, I get the point and everything about him being almost full oni and stuff, but I can't look at his face 😂 I think it's the only part I really don't think it fits, the rest is pretty cool. I like the staff, looks all sorcery. They even used the design of the oni masks, nice touch.
... still, the face is weird, happy it didn't last 😙
Back to the monastery, everyone's scared, it might be the end, I actually liked the situation very much for the yang proposal. Jay stopped overthinking and went for it, it's hard for someone like him 😂
And of course Nya was ecstatic, and when our goddess is happy I am 💙💙💙
Tumblr media
THEY HAVE THE MEDALIONS ON THEIR CHEST IT'S SUCH A CUTE AND ROMANTIC SYMBOL!!! 😍😍😍
I'm a sucker for romance, I'm sorry 😅
I'm also a sucker for references from past seasons, so...
*inhale*
THE FREAKING TORNADO OF CREATION!!!! FINALLY, AFTER THE FERRISWHEEL IN THE UNDERGROUND, THE ULTRA SONIC RAIDER AND ALL THE GAMES THAT HAD IT FEATURED, IT'S BAAAAACK!!!! THANK YOU NINJAGO FOR THIS GLORIOUS DAY!!! NINJAAAAAAAA-GOOOOOOOO!!!
*exhale*
They played it as they didn't use it again because it was kinda a miracle... I guess I can buy that, even if the Hagemans explained that they didn't expect Ninjago to continue and put the ultimate power immediately in the pilots... regretting it 😅 So I'm not hard on the writers in general, I'm happy to see this old friend back 💛
They all used spinjitzu, and the new design is so good, I was so happy!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Well I was, but then... boy... 😳
Now... let me tell you... how FREAKING nervewrecking... the last minutes of the episode... have been for me
First of all, the transition in black and soundless was so sudden that it got me thinking "okay this is new, got a weird feeling about it". Lloyd wakes up into such a heavenly beautiful place with a paradisiac great view. And I was already on what the frisk mode, because the others are gone and there's a beautiful golden dragon right there. And I freaking love those (I WANT ONE), so I got distracted.
Then a voice. Good Garmadon? I guess it could be, but why now and here? The heck?
Then of course I recognized him...
Tumblr media
Because he still gives his back to the camera 😂 Also he freaking called him Lloyd MONTGOMERY Garmadon, I can't even 👏👏 This compensate the fact that I kinda wanted green bean to just go and call him granpa 😘
And while I thought it was super cool and over the top and reminded me again of Kung fu Panda, the third movie this time, I was still thinking from time to time:
"This looks like afterlife."
"The first Spinjitzu Master is gone."
"This can't be happening."
"This can't... can't..."
And after making sure to remind us that yes, first Spinjitzu Master-san is indeed Wu's dad, with his wise words because...
Tumblr media
... he said that. THAT. Come back to your friends, or come with me. Go back being the green ninja, or reach the light once and for all. And darn it. I could feel my heart pulsing in my head. It ached when Lloyd extended his hand, and suddenly everything went white.
Back to the monastery. Guys are fine, Jaya is still beatiful and my poor sweetie flame got under a colomn thanks Cole I bet lavashippers appreciated
Then the worry. All of then running to him, checking, my flame so scared, "come on buddy, wake up". Wu following, he's the only hope, he can manage...
He can... can...
"There is nothing to be done."
I sobbed. Like, I didn't even dare to look at the time, I was too scared. I just didn't want it to be real.
Gotta say, when it comes to grieving, Ninjago makes me feel the most. Jay stuttering, asking Wu to help him. Nya sobbing calling his name. Kai slowly shaking his head, so desperate, like it wasn't enough they lost Cole even if not for long, and then going to comfort Wu because Garmy is not his brother right now and he's not showing emotion at all (although he was backing off, I wonder if he was trying to keep the distance from such a strong scene)
... and then Lloyd came back
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! 💚💚💚💚💚
Tumblr media
I CRIED FOR HAPPINESS, THE TOUGHEST SECONDS OF MY LIFE!!! MY GREEN BEAN, MY SUNSHINE BOY, MY SWEET ANGEL IS HERE AND HERE TO STAY!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Also Kai and Cole hugging, it was really sweet 🖤❤🖤❤
Oh man, OH MAN 😵
They put everything into that last fragment, now did they? Very nice, loved every part of it and it's really cool how we now kinda know what could be waiting on the afterlife 🤩 I wonder if there is more of that world...
This is why I said I wanted a longer special/season, we had two beautiful moments of pure sadness, really impactful and intense, that could've been even stronger if we had more time to struggle. But you know what? I died inside twice, came back to life twice as well, and nobody died!! 😊 ... except the oni I guess. I think... they died, didn't they?
Well whatever, going for the end!
Okay can I call upon myself the frame meme of Gravity Falls without actually showing it? I can't put more pictures 😅
"Oh, this."
Tumblr media
"This is beautiful."
It's both extremely funny for the claw lego thingy, and meaningful. Only they could do that. Only those that really follow Ninjago could recognize this. I just like it a lot, the Tornado of Creation in its on way ❤💚💙🖤💦💎
(give me white and gray hearts emoji you COWARDS)
And of course, reunion for the finale
Tumblr media
Sky you have no idea how happy I am to see you, girl I missed you a lot 😘 Also dat wink, Kai you might be the next to the yang proposal 😙 Cyrus is okay, I'm happy, and random Ronin because why not? He has better things to do than being caught up with all this drama 🤣
AND THE POSTMAN IS THERE 😎 Of course, our greatest ruler appear! 💪💪💪
While at the end that little moment between Wu and Garmy, I wonder what's waiting for the two sons of mister too shy for facing the camera 😜
And of course our Ninjago alphabet, THE END, with mama dragon who seems to be okay, good 😊 Pretty cool
Well guys, this is it. I enjoyed, no matter how it could've gone as a full season or other formats, it's refreshing knowing that they still remember stuff from the very beginning (MONTGOMERY 🤣🤣🤣). I think we had a good ending for a good beginning to a new fragment of Ninjago, involving what, I have no idea 😅 Also I really appreciate what they did with my Kai, the hotheaded, cocky but selfless warrior that I love so much. Thanks a lot ❤❤
Guess we'll find out sooner or later what's in store for this show, for now I'm done! Thank you guys a lot for all the notes in the last post, you guys are amazing! 😁
Nothing else to say, see ya around! 💜

Gamera vs Jiger (1970)
That’s right, Hollywood After Dark was actually so fucking depressing I decided the only thing that could cheer me up was a Gamera movie – and lo!  When I typed our sabre-toothed saviour’s name into YouTube, up pops this film, which I’d never seen!  Gamera vs Jiger was directed by Noriaki Yuasa, who brought us the other Gamera films, and features a really annoying noise and some even more annoying little kids!
The city of Osaka is getting ready to host some kind of world’s fair.  Young Hiroshi is particularly eager to see it, as is his American friend Tommy, because their families are both intimately involved with the preparations.  Hiroshi’s father, an inventor, is building mini-submarines for one exhibit, while Tommy’s, an archaeologist, is bringing in a mysterious stone statue all the way from Wester Island in the Pacific.  The statue is called The Devil’s Whistle and the natives don’t want to let it go, because a legend says it’s the only thing keeping away something called Jiger.  Boy, I bet that won’t come back to bite anybody in the ass, will it?
Turns out the reason the statue is called the Devil’s Whistle is because when wind blows over the hole in its top, it makes a really, really annoying sound that drives everybody insane – the crew of the ship transporting it, the audience, and a weird warthog-dinosaur-looking creature. Sure enough, this is Jiger, who sets out to destroy the statue and anything else it might happen to come across. Looks like a job for Gamera to me!
Tumblr media
Now, the formula for these movies is to have Gamera get injured in an early fight, so that the people of Japan have to try to take on the monster themselves.  They then fail, and Gamera miraculously returns, summoned by the whining of bratty children in tiny shorts, to save the day!  That’s what happens here, too.  So how does Gamera lose his first face-off against Jiger?  Is he frozen, like he was by Barugon?  Held at bay by a threat to children, like he was by Viras?  Beat up and forced to retreat to the water to heal, like by Guiron or Gyaos?
Hell no!  Jiger is much more creative.  The first time the two monsters fight, Jiger fires quills into Gamera’s arms and legs so he can’t pull them into his shell and fly away, then rolls him over on his back and leaves him on a rocky island to starve to death!  Then we have to watch Gamera try to flip himself over again using his tail, screeching out in pain the entire time, and it truly is the sorriest I’ve ever felt for him.  Then at their second encounter, Jiger stabs Gamera in the shoulder with some kind of stinger, and Gamera staggers off in agony. There’s then this bizarre sequence where the kids take one of those tiny submarines down Gamera’s esophagus and find that Jiger has implanted a fucking embryo in his chest which is now devouring him from the inside out like one of those creepy spider wasps!  Holy shit! Since when did Gamera do body horror?
Gamera spends so much of this movie in obvious pain, I think it would probably be rather distressing for a child to watch. The part where the embryo is growing inside him, and Gamera turns white with his skeleton briefly visible before his glowing eyes go out, actually distressed me and I’m in my thirties.  I think this might be the only time I’ve actually seen the children in one of these movies give up on Gamera in what sounds like honest despair, when Hiroshi declares, “oh, he’s dead!” It feels weird to talk about a Gamera movie being dark, but this one gets there.
Tumblr media
After the ridiculousness of Gamera vs Guiron, Gamera vs Jiger represents the series trying to regain some of its self-respect and the respect of its audiences (as demonstrated by the fact that the next installment was Gamera vs Zigra, it didn’t work).  The dark content is probably an intentional part of this, and it sits a little uneasily alongside the cheerful absurdity that naturally comes of this being a Gamera movie.  Sometimes it kind of works, but more often it really doesn’t.  The miniatures and matte paintings are as terrible as anything in Mighty Jack or, for that matter, in previous Gamera films.  The music includes classics like We’re Gonna Ride our Bicycles and of course the immortal Love Theme from Gamera, sung by a chorus of slightly tone-deaf grade-schoolers.  The pun ‘Wester Island’ is kind of awe-inspiring in its sheer lameness, and the dialogue includes technical language like ‘it’s based on super-ultra-violent waves!’  The foleyed-in footsteps sound like all the actors are wearing tap shoes.  The dubbing sucks.  The dubbing of the children, particularly Tommy’s little sister Susan, is so terrible it actually manages to suck and blow at the same time.
My favourite nugget of silliness is the scene in which one of the scientists shows a slide of an x-ray of Gamera.  How the fuck do you x-ray Gamera?!  Imagine the host sketch in which Joel and the bots try to figure it out!
Tumblr media
But Gamera movies, like all kaiju eiga, live and die by their monsters and the fighting between them.  The Gamera of Gamera vs Jiger looks as dumb and rubbery as he ever did (I’m particularly fond of his belly-flop landings), but Jiger is actually pretty cool and mean-looking, with a surprisingly plausible quadrupedal gait – while Guiron always looked like a guy crawling around in a rubber costume, Jiger actually moves like a four-legged animal and I can only attribute this to a very gifted suit-maker.  Some of Jiger’s powers, like its quill-shooting, are quite interesting and scary.  Others, like its ability to fly by shooting steam out of its ears, are laugh-out-loud stupid.
The fights themselves are kind of interesting in that they are battles of wits, as well as monster fights.  Both Gamera and Jiger are depicted as observing their enemy and learning from what they see.  In the first fight, Gamera learns that Jiger will try to wrap its tail around his neck, and pulls his head into his shell at the last minute.  Jiger learns that Gamera must retract his limbs in order to fly, and uses the quills to prevent this.  The fact that both combatants are intelligent ups the ante quite a bit, without giving them the childlike human motivations that turned the monsters of Godzilla vs Megalon into cartoon characters.  The brutality I mentioned continues into the final fight, culminating in Gamera impaling Jiger in the face with the statue that started the whole thing!
Just as often, of course, the fights are ridiculous. There is a bit where Gamera throws Jiger up in the air, but Jiger lands on the other end of the fallen tower Gamera is standing on, launching him into some buildings in turn like something out of a kaiju-fueled Rube Goldberg machine.
The setpiece sequence of the film, and the one that sets it apart from any other Gamera movie, is the Fantastic Voyage bit where the two boys go inside him with the submarine to remove the Jiger embryo.  Fantastic Voyage was made in 1966, so I suspect it was indeed the inspiration.    Unfortunately, Gamera’s innards are not nearly as cool as anything in the earlier film – and in retrospect, Fantastic Voyage doesn’t even look that cool anymore.  Instead, the baby Jiger chases the kids around on an obvious stage set, among tunnels that aren’t nearly gooey enough to be something’s anatomy. The inside of Gamera’s lungs are made of inflated plastic bags with some algae inside them, and seeing the Jiger suit at its actual size is laughable.  For all that, though, the sequence is sometimes pretty tense, and when it fails at that it’s at least amusing.
Tumblr media
I do like Gamera movies in general.  I mean, yeah, they’re not very good, they’re not particularly meaningful and they’re not gonna win any awards, but they’re fun to watch, fun to write about, and fun to heckle with friends.  I’d even say that Gamera vs Jiger is one of the better ones.  It doesn’t have the annoyingly irrelevant moral of Gamera vs Zigra, and a lot more money, effort, and creativity went into it than that movie or Gamera vs Guiron.  It helps a lot that the kids here are a little older – Hiroshi and Tommy are specifically described as being twelve years old, instead of the five or six-year-old Kenny and Helen from Zigra. The kids do keep ending up in places they don’t belong but for once the adults respond fairly realistically to this.
In reviewing Gamera vs Barugon I noted that insofar as Gamera symbolizes anything, it’s probably childlike faith in good overcoming evil.  Apparently I was right, because that is explicitly stated in the closing scene of Gamera vs Jiger – the adults admit that Hiroshi and Tommy were right about Gamera being the hero Japan needs, and that they should have believed in him.  This is still a weird attitude to take towards a giant monster that wrecks almost as much shit as Jiger does, but I guess that’s just something you have to accept about kaiju eiga.  There’s also some attempt at a statement with the world’s fair setting, in that what Gamera has saved is a place where all humanity can come together to learn from each other.  Gamera movies do seem to be basically optimistic in outlook, positing that humans are basically good and higher forces are looking out for us, and that’s probably one of the things I like about them.
As one final note, the movie claims that ‘Wester Island’ is the last remaining bit of the lost continent of Mu.  Godzilla vs Megalon did something similar with Easter Island and ‘Seatopia’, and was made only three years later… did one inspire another, or were Easter Island and Lost Continents just big things in Japan in the early 70’s?  If the former, that represents a rather curious inversion: Gamera began his life as a ripoff of Godzilla, but many years later we find Godzilla movies stealing ideas from Gamera instead!

midnight talk // finn shelby & reader
· Hey I’d like to request an Imagine in which the reader is grace child and as a teenager she meets Tommy and is falling for Finn If you could make it -> thank you so much💕
· 23 and 50 would be really cute with finn!!
23 - “we have to be quiet.”
50 - “people are staring.”
You had travelled from the alive, electric city of New York, America to the smoky, deadened city of Birmingham, England with your mother. And though you had made your detest of the idea known to her, she had dragged you alongside her despite your requests to stay in New York. She’d spoke wildly of the last time she was here (you’d been to young the first time she came over and stayed in Ireland), attempting to make the city seem just as unforgettable as New York, but you and her both knew: it wasn’t the city that was unforgettable, it was the people.
The carriage buckled slightly as it sped over the cobbled streets of Small Heath, your heart jolted and your hand grasped onto the seat beside you for support if it was needed. Your mother chuckled slightly beside you, apparently she was used to this kind of reckless driving. You simply rolled your eyes and turned your head to the carriage window. Smoky air clouded the city, billowing past the cart in cosmic waves. Everything you laid your eyes on seemed blackened with ash and dirt: the cars, the buildings, even the people seemed to have skin smudged with the substance. You turned back to your mother, a pleading look present on your features. But she only smiled sweetly. And you couldn’t say a thing.
The carriage came to a rocky stop adjacent to an emerald green pub, it’s still shining paint seeming rather out-of-place among the crumbling bricks it was surrounded by. You stepped out as your mother paid; the stench of smoke overpowering your senses. As the cab drove off in a gush of fumes, you were left behind; you couldn’t help but overlook the street, a sigh emitting from your parted lips.
“[y/n], come!” Your mother waved you over with a smile, one hand pressed against the door of The Garrison, which she’d partly opened. With a slight run, you met her at the entrance, where her arm slipped around your own as the two of you entered side by side.
“Grace!” Came a muffled shout from the almost empty bar, a well-dressed man you’d never met before came to greet you, a cigarette hanging from his mouth, “lovely to see you again.”
“You too, Thomas.” They kissed briefly on the cheek before your mother turned to you, “this is my daughter, [y/n].” He nodded his head to you, slightly tipping the peak of his cap.
“Same age as Finn?” He turned to Grace with his query. With a slight furrow of her eyebrows she replied promptly.
“I believe so.”
“Finn, c’mere!” Thomas shouted, to which a door swung open and a young boy (about the same age as you) came to his side.
“Yeah, Tommy?” The boy inquired.
“This is [y/n],” Thomas held his hand towards you with a drag of his cigarette and smile to Finn, whose eyes trailed over you as his older brother spoke, “[y/n] this is Finn. He will be showing you around Small Heath for the day.” Your eyebrows raised in unison with Finn’s.
“I am?”
“He is?”
“Yes, now go on.” Tommy practically pushed the two of you out the doors of The Garrison himself, until you were both stood on the street outside in a somewhat awkward silence. You shuffled on your feet and smoothed out the skirt of your dress as the two of you stared down at the floor. Finn cleared his throat loudly.
“Err… So, I’ll guess we’ll start with my street, then…?”
“Sounds… good.”
Before the two of you had even realised, the sun had set over Small Heath, and while the dark night only enhanced the tarnished state of the streets; the city had grown on you since your arrival. And, perhaps even more surprisingly, the two of you had became almost like best friends in the mere hours you’d spent together upon Tommy’s orders. You had spoke freely to him about living in Ireland and New York, and how initially you practically begged for your mother to not bring you here. To you, it was as though you had found someone you could speak to without worry of repercussions or judgement. And Finn reciprocated those feelings. He was the youngest of his siblings; a Peaky boy. Most of the children his age were told to avoid him in case of run-ins with his elder brothers, and yet he felt like he couldn’t speak openly to them without a hearty laugh from every sentance he spoke.
It was nearing midnight when the two of you had finally reached the Shelby family home again. You’re mother wasn’t worried; with all her knowledge, she knew you would be safe with a Shelby lad. Finn’s hand was wrapped tightly around your own as he guided you through the kitchen, which was only lit by the reflection of the moon through the panelled glass.
“We have to be quiet.” He spoke in whispers as he showed you up the stairs, his hand now framing your lower back. “Polly will be asleep.” Slowly, he opened the door to his room, allowing you to enter first. The two of you sat down on the bed beside each other, your head lazily rolling against Finn’s shoulder as your eyes drooped. Yet, you still had so much to speak about. And you continued to speak until your eyes shut completely.
You woke the next morning laid atop Finn’s bed, your hand flung over the side to meet his near where he was curled upon a bed of pillows and blankets on the floor, still dressed smartly in the same suit he wore the day before. You smiled graciously at the sleeping boy before noticing the open door, complete with a hazy figure standing in the doorway.
“Wake Finn up, would you [y/n]?” Tommy asked as he blew smoke from his full lips, of which were formed in a smirk. “Breakfast is in five.” He left and shut the door behind him, leaving you to lightly chuckle to yourself before reaching down and disturbing Finn from his slumber with a gentle shake.
The two of you made your way downstairs in a quick fashion, still dressed head-to-toe in your outfits from the previous day. Finn opened the door, stepping aside to allow you to slip in before him. Met with smirks and stares from the Shelby family, as well as your mother, who was sat with raised eyebrows as she sipped on a small teacup, Finn’s eyebrows furrowed. He lent down slightly to your height until his lips were close to your ear.
“People are staring.” You couldn’t help but chuckle slightly at his observation, looking up at the sweet boy you’d grown to like in more than just one way.
“Nothing for you to worry about, Finn. Toast?”

Unpopular AC:NH Opinions Masterpost
Disclaimer: not looking to start a discussion, I’m mostly just posting this because I am interested in seeing how many of my opinions will in time turn out to be based on good old IGNORANCE
- Nook Miles, and in particular Nook Miles +, is way too omnipresent. You fall into just going through all the tasks because it feels like You Are Supposed To and having your every move dictated by your phone, constantly checking it for new tasks. Who enjoys that????
- DYI is way too omnipresent. Right from the very start you’re made to pretty much grind for resources for fear of finding yourself breaking a tool and unable to replace it. Every single time a villager gives me a gift, it’s a DYI recipe. Every single time I find a message in a bottle, it’s a DYI recipe. The distinction between which furniture is DYI and which is not is completely arbitrary and untransparent.
- Don’t feel involved with my villagers. They tell you they ‘keep seeing you’ if you talk to them more than once. They don’t send me on errands. They don’t invite me to their house or visit mine. I don’t feel like they want anything to do with me. We just kinda coexist (tm).
- The unlock rate feels irregular. It takes what feels like a century before you can even see all of your island, and then all of a sudden you get the museum, first shop, visits from Able Sisters, Harvey, Daisy Mae and Saharah, and the objective to build a bridge and some new houses (again, a fuckton of DYI) and your first new move-ins ALL basically simultaneously. I got all of these within 2 days of each other. You go from very little to an overwhelming lot, and back to very little.
- Where did the art gallery go!!! Maybe it doesn’t fit with the deserted island theme, but they could have come up with something more fitting instead of just stripping down the museum.
- Everything seems too controllable. Working with predetermined and random elements has always been a big part of the game. No, nobody particularly liked plot resetting for hours on end to get a new villager to move into the exact right spot. But whatever happened to happy accidents? To just letting this fun little world create itself?
- This ties in with everything being too controlleable, but so many things have gone from being challenging or requiring luck to being very easy/accessible. I’ve been here 5 seconds, paid zero attention to planning my flowers and I have a ton of hybrids out of nowhere. Remember when Saharah would just mess up your house with a random wallpaper/floor? And you’d get JUST the one when you just so happened to catch him in town? Thrilling, right? Yeah, that’s over. Now you can just infinitely buy stuff from him and he’s there for what feels like days. Remember when your face was a gamble and a permanent feature, and changing your hair was a once-a-day try-your-fucking-luck $3000 adventure at the salon? Now you can just buy a few items and unlock the ability freely change your whole appearance at will right from the start.
- Why are tarantulas so common. I am terrified being outside at night. I have seen more tarantulas in my first week in New Horizons than I have seen tarantulas and scorpions COMBINED in all my years in prior games.
- The tool ring. Does not fit all the tools. This is probably because the L-stick has 8 directions. Idk. I feel like there could have been away around this.
- The villagers houses require way too much fucking space. Like four squares to either side? The fuck you gonna use that for? It makes it hard to find good places to build new houses - every quaint, cute, pretty little area is too small for the GIANT PLOT these animals demand.
- THE WEEDS ARE SO CUTE AND PRETTY how can I be expected to eradicate something so pleasant to look at. This isn’t right.
- It was cool to see Timmy and Tommy sort of having two distinct personalities/roles. And then they opened a shop. So like, nevermind whatever was going on at the start of this game, we’re not going through with that I guess.
- Babyfication of NPCs. I liked the older, quirky NPCs like Joan, Nat and Tortimer. A number of them have been replaced by Daisy Mae and similar child-like characters. And while they’re cute, they’re not the same.
- A lot of focus on outdoor furniture. I’ve wanted outdoor furniture for... idk 10-15 years. And now that it’s here, it’s just too much. It’s obtrusive. It’s forced on you.
- I don’t care for terraforming. At all.
- This one is probably not unpopular, but the back side of the island is funky, with the steep hill and the rocky waterline. We could have had a beach all around.
All this being said, I have a deep love of the game and am going to dedicate the next few years of my life to it anyway.

Tumblr media
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Fanfiction
Tumblr media
Eternaldarkness3166 I Know I never knew one of the actors from mmpr had died but I found out about it a couple of years ago due to the fact that it happened and everybody was still little kids at the time damn it blew my mind when I first found out r.i.p
Tumblr media
Caitlin Lopez All the episodes featuring the romance between Tommy and Kimberly plus the bromance of Tommy and Jason followed by the bromance of Tommy, Rocky, Adam, and Billy in addition to Kimberly's friendship with Aisha and Trini
Tumblr media
Anta Kumari Mahato Legendary Power Rangers game is on for tomorrow at work so I can go to your place and time to you and the bato phrkiske so we can either do a few things that
Tumblr media
kagomecc46 Legendary Power Rangers The moment they brought Tommy back.for good...we even got a Tommy Kimberly (?first) kiss scene. Teenage guy actually admits he waiting a (power rangers fanfiction) long time just for that sweet kiss. He keeper ;) Then theres all the creative ways coming from Billy with alien technology lol .thx from this fans heart this recap of the 1st season is what was needed to jog forgotten tv watching memories
Tumblr media
asmio's alt 373638 I love the episodes but when the power rangers lost the thunder megazord it was hard for them to form the dino megazord they couldn't form it cause the dinosaurs were connected with the thunder megazord so when they were on a quest to find ninjor he gives them new zords to fight monsters in season3 when they get (power rangers fanfiction)the ninja zords another megazord was given to them it was called showgun megazord when they called for the showgun zords when they form the megazord and when they are in a copit billy called for the ninja zords and then ninjor comes and helps them
Tumblr media
master drew t Legendary Power Rangers well I guess you could say that it might’ve been the season final, cause it was actually quiet epic to say the least
Tumblr media
Brother Grimace Ransik's surrender in the 'Time Force' finale. The only Big Bad to score a complete and undeniable final victory against a full team of Rangers without trickery or assistance... but surrendered because he learned that he was wrong(power rangers fanfiction) and willingly gave up to face justice. It's an awesome scene where you actually feel sorry for him, a great warrior who has surrendered his sword. It's also why the Wild Force/Time Force team up is so awesome - because he pays in full for his crimes and gets an actual 'second chance' at a better life.
Tumblr media
Paul Verner MMPR Season 1 was a great start for the Power Rangers franchise. Sure the one-liners and the jokes were cheesy, but they worked. First you have Jason Lee Scott, the Red Ranger and the fearless leader of the Power Rangers. He was awesome all the way. Not only was he a leader, he was also like a big brother. (power rangers fanfiction)Not to mention that he's an expert Martial Artist. Next you have Zack Taylor, the Black Ranger and second in command of the Rangers. He was pretty cool too and I like his custom fighting style as well. Then there's Billy Cranston, the Blue Ranger. He's smart and logical, not to mention that he loves inventing things. I liked how Billy was adapting to defending the world slowly but surely despite relying on his powers a lot. He was pretty good. Next there's Trini Kwan, the Yellow Ranger. She's equally smart and expert at Martial Arts and Kung Fu. Trini was good. Not only was she caring, but she was also tough when she need to be. Kimberly Ann Hart, the Pink Ranger. She's the valley girl who loves shopping at the mall and expert of gymnastics. Kimberly was great even though some of her valley girl attitudes was pretty annoying at times. And last, but certainly not least, Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger. He's just as much of an expert at Martial Arts like Jason is. Tommy was awesome. The only problem I had was that his green powers were thrown under the bus. I thought he was better as the Green Ranger. Overall, all six rangers were great. And again, despite the cheesy one-liners and jokes, Season 1 was great(power rangers fanfiction)
Tumblr media
Sticky a fun fact is Amy and David (Kim and Billy) helped the other rangers with agility like flips, Austin and Jason (the actor) helped the others with martial arts, so they all had amazing skills that helped each other (so in this case Kim whose into gymnastics would be given lessons in combat, and she would teach others how to properly move(power rangers fanfiction)) , but a side effect of having people with skills that others have as well ends to create competitive nature's and this created an infamous real life rivalry between Austin and Jason as they were hardcore into martial arts and gym, and apparently Austin bragged he could do stuff, Jason would call Austins bluff and never do what he said he could
Tumblr media
UltimaKeyMaste MMPR also did pretty much everything to separate the human side of things from Zyuranger, high schoolers compared to awkward ancient warriors in modern times. Megaforce, while the idea of copying MMPR seems better than Samurai copy-pasting the Sentai into a Western show, was an utterly soulless copy MMPR and made even worse. At least Samurai didn't insult the original show in the process.(power rangers fanfiction) So Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is the first part entry into the power rangers franchise, if i am not wrong this season is totally adapted or is similar to the Japanese tv show Kyuryu Sentai Zyuranger. people still love this Mighty Morphine Power Rangers fanfiction, because this shows costume resembles that of the Japanese Tv Show mentioned above. This power rangers fanfiction is about mighty morphine. Read the full article

Shit, well, it’s good to get back to it anyway.
Yes, Miggy, the first PTB MLB Power Rankings of the year are FINALLY out!
Editor’s note: Truly sorry about my lack of sports/baseball stuff, Nation. Grad school, unemployment, re-employment, and a lot of busy-ness at work have a way of sidetracking things. And once out of a habit, well, you know…
All records and stats are current as of Saturday, June 9, 2018.
1. New York Yankees (42-18) — The Bronx Bombers have won nine of their last 10, they’re playing .700 ball, and are the only team in MLB that has yet to lose 20 games. Ridiculous.
2. Boston Red Sox (44-21) — Personally, I find it quite boring when these two superpowers lead MLB. However, with the BoSox ripping up the league with 5.22 runs scored per game (second to the Yanks at 5.54), 600 team hits, 144 doubles, and 95 home runs, the offense is in *ahem* full swing. Solid support for Chris Sale (2.83 ERA), Rick Porcello (3.59), and David Price (4.00) and what has been a pretty good bullpen.
3. Houston Astros (41-25) — The defending champs are allowing the fewest runs in MLB (3.02 per game) while offensive core stalwarts Jose Altuve (142 OPS+), Carlos Correa (130 OPS+), Alex Bregman (136 OPS+), and George Springer 145 OPS+). Oh, and Justin Verlander (262 ERA+) and Gerrit Cole (176 OPS+) are posting best-ever seasons.
4. Seattle Mariners (40-24) — Listen, there are only four teams with 40+ wins to this point in the season (Milwaukee, see below, is at 39 as of this writing). The AL has all four them. The Mariners are probably the least likely to maintain, but, hey, those 40 are in the bank.
5. Milwaukee Brewers (39-25) — Raise your hand if you figured the Brewers posting the NL’s best record this far into the season. The offense has been alright (4.39 runs a game) as has the pitching overall (3.72 runs allowed), but that bullpen has been great (2.54 ERA). Josh Hader, in particular, is out-of-this-world. Getting ace Jimmy Nelson back soon could put the Brew Crew over the top.
6. Chicago Cubs (37-24) — Just half a game behind the Brewers, with six everyday batters posting OPS+ numbers over 100 (average). The bullpen features a whole bunch of sub-3 ERAs and Jon Lester (7-2, 2.22) has been great atop the rotation. While all those arms could regress, the solid showing at the plate from the Cubbies should keep them in the midst of October talk.
7. Washington Nationals (36-26) — The injuries have mounted for the Nats, but Max Scherzer has been healthy and continues his march towards Cooperstown. Teen phenom Juan Soto has been awesome in his 19-game introduction (.328/.435/.552) with a very promising 11-10 BB-to-K ratio.
8. Atlanta Braves (37-27) — The Bravos seem to have arrived a year ahead of schedule, but this team looks real good for a dynastic run, with Freddie Freeman (28), Ozzie Albies (21), Dansby Swanson (24), Ronald Acuna (20), and top hurlers Mike Foltynewicz (26) and Sean Newcomb (25) all well ahead of the curve.
9. Los Angeles Angels (37-28) — Mike Trout. We need to appreciate him more. Here’s his current line: .306/.439/.646, 1.085 OPS, 198 OPS+, 52 runs, 70 hits, 15 doubles, 19 homers, 13 steals (no caught stealings), 53-53 K-BB rate. And the dude is still only 26. Insane. Now, how the Halos hang around with Shohei Ohtani’s elbow woes remains in doubt, but the dominance of the Millville Meteor is of no question.
10. St. Louis Cardinals (35-27) — Only Jose Martinez (145 OPS+) and Tommy Pham (118) are really raking for the Redbirds, but strong starts from Miles Mikolas (2.27 ERA), Michael Wacha (2.47), and Carlos Martinez (1.83) are keeping the Cards alive in the Central and in the thick of things for a postseason spot.
This guy is really, really, really, amazingly good at baseball.
11. Philadelphia Phillies (32-30) — A week or so ago, these guys would rate much better, but the Phils have got 1-7 in June. The talent is there, but the next big test for rookie manager Gabe Kapler will be righting the ship.
12. Arizona Diamondbacks (34-29) — Remember back in April when Arizona was the toast of baseball with a 28-8 record? Yeah, well, going 14-21 since has certainly put that in the distant past. Of note, though, Paul Goldschmidt seems to waking up (13-for-20 with four homers over his last four games). It’s a thoroughly mediocre division to this point, so the winner of the NL West may well wind up being the team that takes best advantage of when its best players produce.
13. Cleveland Indians (33-29) — The lowest-rated division leaders here, the Tribe has played well at home (20-11) but been the pits away (13-18). While they’re still pretty odds-on to win the Central, that vaunted bullpen (worst in MLB with a 5.82 ERA) has a chance to torpedo anything beyond that. Of note, Cleveland could be the first team since 1920 to lead MLB in bullpen ERA one year (2.89 in 2017) and then finish dead-last the next.
14, 15, 16 (tie). Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants (32-32) — The Rockies’ regression was expected from last year, while the Dodgers have been hit by more injuries than a clown car at a demolition derby, and the Giants have managed to hang around via a great home record (19-11). With a little luck and health, any of these three could challenge for the division crown, or a wildcard berth.
17. Detroit Tigers (31-35) — They are not a good team, but also not as bad as once thought. While they should still look to trade guys like Shane Greene, Michael Fulmer, and a few others, this is a very fun team to watch when they are playing well. Ron Gardenhire deserves a lot of credit here. He won’t get many (any?) votes, but this is what a Manager of the Year looks like, folks.
18. Oakland Athletics (33-32) — Trevor Cahill. Blake Treinen. Matt Chapman. Matt Olson. Mark Canha. Raise your hand if you knew these were five members of the 2018 Oakland A’s and not the roster of some non-descript mid-90s boy band. Personally, I prefer Matty C. over Matt O. And that Trevor. He’s so good to his mother.
19. Minnesota Twins (27-34) — Injuries, starting with Ervin Santana in February, have not stopped dogging this team. It’d be a real shame if we don’t get to appreciate Byron Buxton fully because of his health. However, Eddie Rosario (.318/.355/.566) with 14 home runs has been a real breakout star for these erstwhile preseason darlings.
20. Pittsburgh Pirates (31-33) — The Pirates have a talent core of players. They have a gorgeous ballpark. They have a devoted fanbase. But they also have a shitty ownership group that refuses to give said fans what they want — a winner. The hard part should be developing your supporting cast, not paying for the top-tier talent.
21. Toronto Blue Jays (29-35) — Oh, well. That window sure closed in a hurry. A selloff could bring some much-needed youth ot the Jays, as well as adding intrigue to the wild-card races around the league.
22. San Diego Padres (30-36) — I can’t believe I’ve got them this high, either. Clearly, Eric Hosmer’s will-to-win-veteran-presence even affects mid-season rankings. In truth, the Friars have a great bullpen, which, if they wish to sell off, could bring in some depth to an already-well-liked farm system.
Hey Eddie! Yeah, you. Sorry about your team. But hey, great season so far, mate!
23. Tampa Bay Rays (29-34) — The “opener” trend seems like grasping at straws to be innovative, like Kevin Cash wants Michael Lewis to write a book about him or something. That said, despite a horrid start to the year, and a veritable Who’s That? roster, these guys are not all that bad. They are not good either. They are the bologna and cheese on white bread of the American League. Mustard optional.
24. New York Mets (27-34) — Well, they did the right thing by dumping C— Harvey, but this team is still just Mets-ing all over the place. Losers of eight straight, with whispers they might deal deGrom or Thor. I’m sure if those trades happen, this organization will find a way to Mets those up too.
25. Texas Rangers (27-40) — It’s nice to see National Treasure Bartolo Colon pitching well. He’s old and fat, so we should adore him. I guess. I’m actually a bit lost on his precise appeal.
26. Cincinnati Reds (22-43) — The mere fact that C— Harvey shares a team with Joey “The Last Angry Canadian” Votto, and Tucker “What A Great Last Name” Barnhart, boils my blood and causes me night sweats. Also, the pitching stinks.
27. Chicago White Sox (21-41) — Lucas Giolito lead the Pale Hose with four wins, but has a 7.08 ERA. Meanwhile, Jose Abreu (139 OPS+, team-high 24 doubles) is an island unto himself.
28. Kansas City Royals (22-43) — The Royals are giving up 5.52 runs per game. The Yankees have scored 5.54 runs per game. That’s right, folks! When the Royals are in town, it’s just like watching the Yankees!
29. Baltimore Orioles (19-44) — It’s pretty clear Buck Showalter doesn’t care anymore, does it? While we all know Manny Machado is great at baseball (166 OPS+) and will be traded, just gander at the awfulness of Chris Davis’s season (.152/.232/.232, four home runs, a 30 OPS+). It’s soooooooo gross!
30. Miami Marlins (23-41)  — No, the Marlins are not last because of my spite over how they have been a joke forever, constantly screw over fans, and make a mockery of competition. No, it’s not because their current and former owners are emblematic of the excessive awfulness of capitalism . No, it’s not because they plead “process” over “results” whenever someone rightly gives them a second look. It’s because they suck. Last in runs scored per game (3.48) and tied for fifth-worst in runs allowed (5.14) should do.
And with that, we are back in the pink with our Power Rankings. I hope to bring you guys more MLB goodness throughout the rest of the year when time allows. Until then, it’s batter up and play ball!

Moving On
A short scene set after "Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie". Kimberly sees that Tommy has moved on. Can she? Has she?
Disclaimer Saban/Hasbro owns the characters within, not I.
"He seems happy." Kimberly's mind was wandering as she focused her eyes across the room to see Tommy sitting at a table with Katherine. She was telling him something and he was intently following her every word. She was sure she didn't notice him even as a huge smile moved across his face and he leaned back in his chair.
His gaze gave her butterflies.
He looked past her and then locked eyes with her.
"Wasn't sure if there was any residual... uh... energy from the pit," Tommy stated.
"Doesn't seem to be," Jason said with a shrug, his eyes moving to Kim.
She turned to him and offered him a smile, which he returned.
"I... Kim is there something you wanted to say?"
"A lot of things I guess," Kim answered. "The main thing is I wanted to say I'm sorry."
"For?" Tommy questioned.
"Sending the letter," Kim answered.
"What do you mean?" Tommy asked.
"I mean... breaking up that way... there should have been another way but I just didn't know how," Kim explained.
"I mean... it was silly to think things would stay the same that far apart."
Tommy chuckled before running a hand through his hair.
"I am... it'll work out," Kim responded with positivity and a smile.
"I hope so," Tommy replied before he turned to find Kat sitting back down at their table. He grinned upon seeing her and then turned back to Kim.
"I'm gonna head back over there, but..." Tommy paused. "I just want you to know... I hope we can always be friends."
"I hope so too," Kim replied as she watched Tommy get up and walk back over to the Kat. Kim finished off the last of her drink before making her way towards the exit and stepping out into the slightly cool night air. She rubbed her arms as the cool air brushed the bare skin as she walked out to stand in the parking lot of the Youth Center.
Kim glanced up at the night sky and admired the stars burning bright overhead. She was so transfixed she didn't hear anyone come up behind her. She, however, smelled his distinctive scent, the faintest of aftershave. She smiled.
"I think I am, or at least I will be," Kim answered.
"Yeah, I think..." Jason began to speak but stopped when Kim turned to him. Something about the look she was giving him. Something that in times past was foreign between them, but lately had become more common.
Neither as surprised as they would have expected when their hands intertwined along the way.
