Buddy cannot cook. Despite the fact that she tried in the past, she is a danger in the kitchen.

Vespa, however, is a wonderful cook- and subsequently makes a lot of the Carte Blanche’s meals. And, due to their ongoing tête-à-tête, Vespa has attempted to ban Juno from family meals multiple times.

Vespa: He never compliments the food!

Buddy: They are family meals, we eat them together.

Vespa: But he-

Buddy: Vespa, darling…

Vespa: alright… but there’s no way he’s getting dessert.

Now that Juno’s sharpshooting is an established thing and not a secret he’s waiting to reveal during the Most Dramatic Moment Possible and Vespa has moved from “outright hostility” to “what an annoying brat” toward him, please consider the bonding experience between these two of trick shots on the Carte Blanche.

It starts as a “I bet you can’t hit that” and pretty soon Juno’s got his gun out and Vespa has a handful of throwing knives, and they’re trying to see who can hit the target quicker. Who can richocet the shot off of a dozen obstacles. Who’s closer to the bullseye, who gets a better shot in the dark, who draws their weapon faster. Eventually, Buddy mildly suggests that they keep their contest outside: that’s a little too much dodging attacks for so early in the morning, darlings. There are holes in things that shouldn’t have holes.

It becomes an ongoing contest, and even if Juno and Vespa say they aren’t keeping score they are definitely keeping score. Jet is frequently called in as the deciding vote when it’s too close for either of them to tell who did better. If Buddy and Ransom are mysteriously absent from the Carte Blanche during these competitions - just getting a bit of fresh air, of course, and they can hardly be blamed if their walk takes them by a lot of gunfire and stray knives - then no one says anything about it. Rita gets way too excited about designing shooting ranges that come equipped with surprises.

Juno and Vespa bicker and fight about who had the better aim and reaction time over meals and during streams instead of taking shots at each other, and it’s their own, strange, type of friendship.
