My Intro to Foreign Languages program is being eliminated in the 6th grade. Meaning I am also eliminated at the end of the school year. They are possibly moving the program to an upper grade where it will be taught by other teachers, and I might be needed there...but I am so fucking heartbroken I can hardly see straight. There are chances of other opportunities but FUCK. I made this program this year. I worked my fucking ass off. I had NO warning I was teaching four languages until the day I arrived. I sucked it up and did it anyway, and my kids are LEARNING. They speak full sentences in three languages to me when I see them in the hall.
This hurts so fucking much. This is what I have dreaded. It happened, it's over. This job gave me purpose. It made me feel like I was worth something, not just useless. I love these kids. This age drives me nuts but I still love them to death.
I do know they want to keep me within the district because people have said really nice things, so who knows what I will do next year. This hurts so fucking much. And it has everything to do with the school trying to even further push away foreign languages. This hurts so fucking much though. I am so so heartbroken. I knew this ONE good thing wouldn't come true. I just knew it.

Kell forced himself back up to his hands and knees. A drop of red hit the ground. Blood was dripping from his nose, his body pleading with him to stop. Instead, he wiped his hand across his face and pressed his stained palm to the damp floor.
“As Steno,” he said, bracing for what happened next. A sheen of ice spread beneath his hand, coating the wooden planks, and Kell felt a bright, brief flare of relief as the blood magic worked. And then his vision dropped away, and his world went black as the white-hot horror carved beneath his skin.
He fought the urge to scream, and failed, the sound tearing free as he collapsed, his burning cheek against the icy patch of floor, and sobbed in pain, and anger, and grief.
Who was he without magic?
What was he worth?
His sight flickered back, but the room was spinning now, and he squeezed his eyes shut, and tried to force air back into his aching lungs. He was still lying there when he heard the door open, boots stomping across the wooden floor. The world darkened behind his eyes as a shadow fell across his face.
“Enough,” said Lila, and he could hear the anger in her voice, but it wasn’t enough. He couldn’t stop, not until the magic spoke to him again. Not until it remembered who and what he was. Not until he was strong enough to take it back.
“You’re scaring the crew.”
“My apologies,” he murmured.
If Lila were someone else, she might have stroked his hair, might have even laid down there beside him on the cabin floor, tangled her fingers with his, and told him it would be all right, they would get through this, they would find a way, he would be whole again.
Instead, she took out a knife.
He heard the scrape of the weapon sliding free from its sheath, and a moment later, the steel dropped to the floor beside him, the edge within reach. The message seemed rather clear.
“If I could put myself out of my misery, I would,” he muttered, and in that moment, it felt true. But Lila only hissed through her teeth.
“Idiot,” she said, dropping into a nearby chair. “Do you know what else you are, Kell?”
“Tired?”
“Spoiled. And lazy.”
“I’m already down,” he said with a wince. “You don’t have to kick me.”
Lila sighed and leaned back in her chair. “There was a sell sword, back in London.”
She never called it Grey London, but he knew that’s what she meant. Her voice took on a different quality, whenever she spoke of her other life, the one before.
Kell took a questing breath. The pain had faded, leaving exhaustion in its wake. He tried to sit up, but couldn’t manage yet, so he summoned the strength to roll onto his back. And looked at the ceiling instead of her.
“What was his name?”

Quick PSA: “Basement dweller” is not okay!
Okay, so, around the internet, I see the term “basement dweller” thrown around a lot as a derogatory term for people who still live with their parents as an adult...and I don’t like it. You don’t know exactly WHY someone still lives with their parents (unless they straight up tell you of course), and assuming that they’re a lazy manchild (which many people who use this term do) is not okay...some people actually CANNOT live on their own for various reasons, you know. Many autistic people (including myself) can’t live on their own because of the disability, and when I see “basement dweller” thrown around at them, it makes my blood boil. They can’t help it, they wouldn’t even be able to survive on their own...and they don’t deserve to be picked on for it!
What I’m trying to say here is, you don’t know the situation and why they’re still with their parents, so PLEASE STOP ASSUMING THINGS! It’s NOT okay and it can really be hurtful!

I have no idea what you mean bc I don't only share stuff that "fits the narrative I want". I share nearly all her posts about H or L, my own time permitting. You clearly haven't been paying attention to my blog if you haven't seen the 3894723986483276458372 holivia (and other) deuxmoi posts I have shared over the last 2 years.
Also, I am literally constantly advocating for CONTEXT and having the full picture of events and situations. I always try to share uncropped videos and pictures, even when stunts are included, and link to everything. I want fans and everyone to get the full picture and have the full understanding of what went down as much as possible.

I find it very odd when sanctuaries, and other places that claim to protect and help wild animals, also keep said animals as pets, even when they say people shouldn't keep them as pets.
Even if they're trained to do so, and know what they're doing, they post pictures of the animals in cute poses, inside houses, with people holding them, asleep in a little bed, you know how.
That's the exact behaviour you claim to try to warn people about, it's clear that these people think they're the exception to the rule. "Others can't have them as pets, but I can"
And posting pictures like that only enforces the notion that they can be kept as pets, no matter how many times you say "They're not pets", if you portray them as pets on social media, people will think they are.
In this instance I saw it happen with Opossums, a so called sanctuary had this on their page
