Wilting Flowers

[OBEY ME!][ONE-SHOT][HANAHAKI DISEASE][ASMODEUS X READER]

Asmodeus had never thought he would fall in love with someone.

All his life he had always thought he would never truly love somebody, at least not romantically. And he had throughout his life never found anyone he considered to be up to his standards. He didn't mean anything bad by it, he just firmly believed he was a lot better than everyone else.

Except you.

Y/N L/N.

He had, by some miracle, fallen head over heals for you.

But that was not the problem. He wasn't the only one who had fallen for you, no, so had his brothers.

Some of them may pretend they don't, but he could see right through them. The way Lucifer relaxed, Mammon looked happier, Laviathan was slightly nicer, etcetera.

And that was the problem. Of course, he was the best but people didn't ways go for the best. They went for what they wanted. And even if he was the best, mabye Y/N would decide they wanted somebody else.

And so he started down the path of not believing you would ever love him.

You could chose between the seven of them. Why not the mature Lucifer? Funny and dumb Mammon? Surprisingly sweet Leviathan? Calm and collected Satan? Friendly Beelzebub? Cuddly Belphegor?

Why.. Him?

You had so many options. So many variables, and you could have any of them. He had a one in a seven chance.

It wasn't that big of a chance.

And then one day, he felt it.

He was in his room, doing his usual bedtime ruitine. Of course, his thought started getting darker, as his mind directed itself towards you.

And then he started coughing.

He always had a strong immune system, but he could still get sick. But he ruled out that thought when his hands got filled with Pink flower petals and bright red blood.

That was certainly not normal.

He stared in confusion. What the hell? That was absolutely not normal?

Maybe something had gone wrong. Maybe he was allergic to something, or Solomon had caused an accident with a spell?

No, he didn't have any allergies, and Solomon wouldn't do that, no matter how dumb or mean he could be at times.

That meant he had to get answers.

He didn't want to bring it up with any of his brothers just yet, and he certainly didn't want to bring it up with you.

So he went to Barbatros, who didn't know anything about it, but promised to tell him if he discovered anything.

Then he went to Simeon, who said it sounded familiar, but couldn't place it.

Then there was only Solomon left.

And to his surprise, he hit it dead on.

"Hanahaki Disease."

"Pardon me?"

Asmodeus guessed he had some human disease then, as only the human knew of what had been bothering him.

"Yes, it's a disease in the human world. When you fall for someone, a flower will grow in your lungs and start killing you. There is two ways to get rid of it. One, confess, and if the person returns your feelings, the flower will go away."

Asmodeus was nervous to ask his question.

"And the second method is?"

"A surgery." His explanation was simple, undetailed, unlike his other explanation.

"Oh, that doesn't sound so bad. How would I do that?"

"Actually.. there is more to it than that. The surgery will remove all emotion you hold for the person you like. Love, hate, grief, everything. I suggest you confess first, and if they decline your emotions then you do the surgery."

Solomon seemed sad. Asmodeus loved you, and he didn't want to lose that emotion. After all, it held a strong part of who he was now.

"Alright, thank you Solomon." The human gave a nod, before going back to writing whatever he was writing.

And Asmodeus left. More lost than ever.

You would never like him back, so what was the point?

Asmodeus was only feeling worse as days and days went on.

He had stopped going to school, telling Luicer he was sick and needed time to recover.

And all of them had been worried sick.

He was barely ever sick. To concerned about his health to let a lot of sicknesses hit him, let alone stay long enough to become dangerous.

But he didn't have the energy anymore. His energy was sapping, he was coughing up more and more blood.

And now there was flowers.

And he was terrified.

Sure, he loved you, but he also loved his brothers, even if it didn't seem like it.

"What the hell am I supposed to do?"

"Mabye I can help?"

Asmodeus sat up in a hurry, his light red eyes snapping to meet Satan's green ones.

"Oh dear, what are you doing-"

He was cut off by a series of coughs. He covered his mouth with his hands, feeling blood and petals hit his palms.

Satan seemed terrified as he hurried over to his younger brother.

"God, Asmo, are you alright? Please, tell me what is going on. All of us are worried about you, even Lucifer."

Asmodeus wasn't surprised about the Lucifer part, but he also knew that Lucifer cared about the six of them more than anything, even if he didn't always show it.

"It's nothing, I'm alright. Like I said, just sick."

He flinched at the glare Satan sent him. "There is blood and flowers in your hands Asmo. I do not think that is normal, and I have never seen a sickness like it here in Devildom."

Asmodeus stayed quiet for a short while, before he started crying.

Satan hugged him, humming softly as he tried to comfort his younger brother.

Asmodeus simply let the tears he had been holding in let lose.

Because why did this happen to him? What did he ever do? Lose all his feelings for you, or die?

He knew how his siblings had reacted to Lilith, and he never wanted them to suffer through something along those lines.

"Asmodeus, please, I need you too talk to me."

Asmodeus wanted to cry even harder at his brother's voice. He should never have hidden the truth. They were his brother's, and they deserved the truth.

Especially if he was going to die.

"I.. it's hard to explain, I don't fully understand it myself."

His brother sat himself down on the edge of the bed, making himself ready to listen.

And Asmodeus had never been happier.

"So, a month back I started coughing. I didn't think of it before I saw blood on my hands, and flower petals. So I went to Barbatros, thinking he had the answers, but he didn't. After that I went to Simeon. He thought he had heard of it, but couldn't place a finger on it. After that I went to Solomon."

Asmodeus hesitated. This was harder than he thought it would be.

But Satan was calm, placing his arms around Asmodeus, trying to make him feel safe.

And it worked.

So he took a breath.

"And he knew what was wrong with me. He called it the Hanahaki disease. It apparently, made a flower grow in my body whenever I fell deep enough in love. He told me I would die, and I had two options. Either I could confess my feelings and pray that they feel the same."

Satan frowned.

"Or?"

Asmodeus sighed. He didn't like this option, not one bit.

"Or I could get a surgery. The surgery will remove all my emotions for the person I like. Hatred, Love. Grief."

Satan looked sympathetically at him.

"Who do you like?"

Asmodeus did not want to answer that. After all, Satan liked them too.

"Wait, let me guess, it's Y/N."

Asmodeus looked at him.

"How did you- wait, more importantly, aren't you bothered? You like them too, right?"

Satan nodded. "Of course I do. All seven of us like them. But I've seen the way they look at you, and most of us have accepted the fact it will probably be you and Y/N that get together, and not someone else. At least it's not Lucifer they like." Asmodeus heard him add under his breath.

Asmodeus was to but thinking to care about that though. He was so sure you would chose someone like Satan, or Mammon, or anyone else!

And yet, Satan was in his room, saying how all of his six brothers had seen that Y/N liked him, and they had accepted that.

Most of them, anyways. He had a hunch the one who was sad about it was Mammon and Leviathan.

Jealousy and Greed, it would probably hurt the most for those two. Lucifer second, with his pride and all.

But..

You liked him?

No?

"Are you sure?"

"Positive. And when did you doubt your own charm? That's not like you at all."

Satan was right.

When had Asmodeus ever doubted hs beauty? Of course you would chose him!

Who wouldn't?

He was the best option after all.

"You are completely right, I'm very sorry about lying to all of you. I'm going to go tell Y/N my feelings, would you mind informing the others about what has been going on?"

Satan sighed, but gave a nod anyways.

"Of course Asmo."

And with that, the forth and fifth born brothers were off.

And there Asmodeus found you, sitting in the common room.

Looking like a wreck.

"Oh Darling, what happened to you? You look absolutely hideous." He didn't think to debate the words before they left his mouth.

But you didn't care, rather you seemed overjoyed at seeing him.

If you springing up and hugging him was any indication. Mabye Satan was right. Maybe you actually liked him.

"Asmo! I was so worried about you! God, I thought you were going to die or something." If only you knew.

"Darling, you know I take perfect care of myself, I would never let some disease kill me. Besides, who would be here to make sure you stay the second most beautiful person if I left?"

His heart started pounding harder as you gave him the brightest smile ever.

"I'm just glad you are alright Asmo."

He hesitated for a second, before nodding to himself a bit. He could do this.

"Actually, Y/N, I had something I wanted to talk to you about."

You looked at him curiously, always listening to him, not a bit of attention on anything but him.

"I have been meaning to tell you this for a while, but I didn't want to overwhelm you. But, after being sick, I realized that I should tell you."

You nodded, making a motion for him to go on.

"Y/N, I love you. You are the only person I have met in my lifetime that is anywhere near my beauty. You are pure perfection, just like me, and that goes for your personality as well. You are amazing, and I would like for us to be a couple."

Neither of you two said anything, and Asmodeus felt the fear creep in.

And the inconvenience of his coughing what about to kick in when you hugging him.

"God, how long have I waited to hear those words? I love you too, Asmodeus. You're really awesome, you know? I'm super happy you managed to gather the courage to tell me, 'cause I didn't."

Asmodeus let out a sob. "Oh god, I was so scared you were going to reject me and go ask Lucifer out on a date or something."

He hugged you back, holding you tight in his embrace.

"Nah, never. Sure, I adore your brothers more than anything, but that is in a plantonic way. I'm so so happy about this right now though."

The two stayed in that position for a few moments. Neither wanting to leave the safe embrace of the other.

And Asmodeus could feel the flower wilting away, making room for your love.

Because he didn't need a flower when he had you.

He didn't need anything as long as he had you.

He hugged you tighter, never wanting to let go of you.

You did the same, not mentioning the tears.

"Movie night?" He heard your melodic voice speak.

"Of course darling."

And with that, the two of you were cuddled up on the couch.

Soon after, his brothers joined the two of you. And he didn't mind, because now he knew you only had eyes for him.

And he also cared for his brothers.

Surrounded by all his favorite people.

He slowly started drifting off, into a nightmare less sleep.

So after your agreement with him getting back with you legally, costed your mental health which is always unstable and never in good condition. You just have him at your house spending time with your only daughter, whom struggled to bring in this world and he knows it, however, he doesn't really care anymore about it, let alone about you. He just apologised to get back to Audrey. He loves her more than anything, you could never doubt it. He doesn't love you but her and that somehow is something.

He's been around you for almost seven months and to have the facts stated, you did sleep together. That was something you were craving for. You wanted to feel his body on you and his kisses on your skin. But there was something missing. You missed a feeling which wasn't mutual. There wasn't any love from him. You would believe he was just using you for pleasure. But then, you would say he's cheating on you again with groupies. After their new album, he was out there promoting the album with Brian. It was unknown to you why Freddie didn't follow. What wasn't unknown to you, was Roger sleeping with groupies in the meanwhile.

It felt good having his presence at this big house but not as good as it was in the past before Audrey was born. He was so in love with you. You've spent almost a decade struggling with your emotions and the instability of them.

After him coming home again, you both had sex four or five months later. It took you a while to get used to his presence again, let alone let him see your soul and your body. You low-key believed he would never ever want to have a bone zone with you after the divorce and after the withdrawal. But now, things got much worse. Your circle has delayed for three months and you had to find out if there was a pregnancy on the way. You were assured after taking the pregnancy test which was positive and it was the last thing you wanted at the moment. You wouldn't be able to bring it up with love and optimism. Your man didn't love you and he didn't know about it. You had to stop that pregnancy even though you were possibly in the third month.

You were in the kitchen, talking to your gynaecologist but you didn't hear Roger coming home after taking Audrey at the kindergarten.

"I can't keep it, I have to stop the pregnancy." You said as the lump on your throat got in the way. It would definitely be a blond beautiful kid with blue eyes. Roger's genes are so strong and it's obvious to Audrey.

"Do you know exactly the month or week you currently are?"

"Must be around twelve weeks. Please tell me something can happen." you were unapologetically intolerant about it. You weren't into making a second child with Roger. He doesn't even love you, stupid girl.

"Please, pay us a visit, it can't be said via telephone... We will see what we can do."

You made the appointment for the day after tomorrow, wishing the abortion would work, without jeopardizing your life.

"What the hell is going on here?" Roger invaded in the kitchen, scaring the crap out of you.

"Jesus, Roger!" you looked at him frightened. "Were you eavesdropping?" you asked at the same tone.

"I came to my home and I heard you talk about a pregnancy wanting to be stopped. I think this has to be discussed with me too." Roger was legit serious, he even blocked the door so you wouldn't leave.

"This has nothing to do with you." you cold-heartedly said, trying to leave the kitchen but he wouldn't let you.

"I think I helped with the fertilization, didn't I?" he ironically asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No, I bet you didn't use protection so you'd leave a baby inside me and then you'd never get the hell out of here." him doing it on purpose and you not realising it, stressed you just at the thought of it.

"What makes you think of that? You are so desperate for me." He was so unbothered.

"You're so up to yourself Roger, you're only here because of Audrey. Just because I accepted your apology doesn't mean I trust you again." you defended yourself.

"Audrey is my world and I don't give a shit if you trust me or not, but you're keeping this child." he sounded like he was forcing you.

"You're not going to tell me what to do, this is my body and I make the rules!" you yelled.

"Make the rules when the baby is not inside you!" He yelled back and left the kitchen. "I'm the father of it and you're not doing any abortion." for a moment you hoped he was telling this just because he was afraid it would go unsuccessful and then it would harm you too. Was he worried about you? No, if he was, he wouldn't talk to you this way.

"I will make abortion and you wanna know why?" you forcefully asked ready to attack. "Why?" he questioned, "Because you don't love me, you don't care about me and I had to withdraw our divorce because Audrey wanted your presence and so did you." you were so heartbroken, your mental health was above zero like it's always been.

"So you did me a favour?" he asked.

"Consider it a favour, yeah..." You walked outside, going upstairs and he was following you.

"So you still think I don't love you?" he asked as you were tidying Audrey's room.

"I am sure about it," you answered without looking him.

"If I didn't love you, I wouldn't even attempt sleeping on the same bed with you, let alone have sex. I wouldn't even make the effort talking to you right now. Just because I'm not saying it and you're not hearing it often, doesn't mean I don't love you, y/n." you heard his voice lowering as his speech was coming to an end.

"You cheat on me Roger." you exhaled, finally looking at him devastated. "I've lost my sleep with these thoughts. I've lost my piece since we started dating eight years ago." you shook your head frustrated with your thoughts.

"Then why did you keep up with me from the beginning?" he asked with his arms crossed.

"Because I was blindly in love with you, I didn't care. But look at me now. A second child that's undesirable. I'm not happy, Roger!" you emphasized your last words and he seemed broken.

"I'm sorry what you're going through, but we have to stick together for our kids' sake." he came closer to you, placing your fingers around his.

"No, don't do this. You're only making it worse. You make me feel defeated again." you pulled away at his touch. You were dying for it, but you had to be fully strong.

"So now you are avoiding me? You literally whined before, for not being affectionate towards you." his face characteristics were tough.

"Listen Roger, I only blame myself for loving you and letting you home again! I'm only doing it for our daughter!" you shouted and left the room and he was following you. Voices, still loud.

"Don't pretend like you don't value my presence in this goddamn house!" you felt him moving his hands frantically in the air as you were walking down the stairs. "You're too desperate and depended on me, you make me believe you set it all up."

"Aren't you tired?" you looked back at him.

"Tired of what?" he asked confused.

"Reminding me of how hard I fell for you? How hard it was accepting all these things the press said about you? You cheating on me all this time when I was home raising our child? Ain't what I did enough?" you asked disappointed. He didn't talk neither walk. He was just there standing and watching you getting pale in seconds.

"Y/n, you alright?" he asked concerned, but you couldn't answer. Your sight was getting blurry and his voice was muting.

"I... I think I'm gonna pass out." you hermetically closed your eyes and lost your balance at the stairs. Holding yourself didn't assist.

You fell from the stairs and you can clearly remember your back and head aching from the fall and Roger ran towards you, trying to help you gain your consciousness.

"Y/n! Y/n please, hey, wake up!" he searched for a steady pulse at your wrists but it was unsteady and low. "No, no, don't do this to me, please, y/n! If you listen to me, just move your lips or say something, just do something!" you could hear him speaking fast and nervously to you but you couldn't move. But you could moan or something. All you could do was just a sound with your mouth since you felt really incapable of doing anything else. "We're rushing to the hospital babe!" he tried picking you up to his arms and ran to his car.

You lost your senses throughout the ride to the hospital. The next thing you could remember was hearing him cry. Flashbacks of you going to the hospital regularly for exams during your entire pregnancy due to the early difficulties hit him like a truck. "I can't lose you too." he whimpered next to you as you attempted opening your eyes. Too?

"Has she awoke yet?" you heard a doctor speaking.

"N- no, she hasn't." A frightened Roger could be heard to you while his hand didn't leave yours.

"Maybe the drug was too strong to handle." you could hear them but not respond.

"How's the baby? Did you check the fetus?"

"It's fine... Maybe the lady felt dizzy and she just fainted. Maybe her hematocrit is low, her exams will show it soon. Is there any event that recently happened and it's causing her mental and physical pain?" Doctor asked interested about your health and you really wondered what would Roger say. He's the reason why your health is shit.

"Um she has some emotional instabilities..." his touch distanced from your skin.

"It could be some kind of depression during her pregnancy. Do you have another child?"

"A daughter, she's six."

"Maybe she was going through postpartum depression, there's no other explanation... And she still has that reflex of it." The doctor said and after five minutes of the talk he left and Roger stayed with you.

You opened your eyes after half an hour and you saw Roger's head laying to your bed while his hand grabbed yours like he's protecting you. "Rog..." you quietly said and his head popped up immediately, looking at you scared.

"Babe, you alright?" he asked concerned.

"Yeah, what happened to me, did they tell you?" you asked, itching your head.

"It's probably due to some kind of depression... Did you got after Audrey's birth?" he asked.

"Postpartum depression? Yes, but you didn't know," you told him without hesitating about insulting his ego.

"How didn't I know about it? It's about you," he asked confused.

"Anything about me is unimportant to you," you stated at the door and you could feel him getting angry with your words.

"I'm trying to help right now, but you don't help yourself."

"You were here when your first kid was born but not around during her bring up. You were touring and promoting and I was here, diagnosed with postpartum depression while you were out there ch-"

"Cheating on you, I know. I did cheat on you. But stop bringing this up all the time. Now I'm here." he attempted calming you down.

"Yeah, but your ego still over the heavens."

"Y/n, stop this I'm only doing it for the kids." his tone got higher.

"The next time, make sure you're doing this for me too because I am the one who struggles every second of the day, neither is Audrey nor this!" You shouted pointing at your stomach.

"Y/n you know I have no chill but right now, I'd have left the room. I could have let you there on the floor you know!" he tried to save himself, you attacked him with words.

"Do I own you a thank you for that?" you mocked him and he was furious by now.

"Jesus, y/n stop it!!" he shouted and you finally shut your mouth. You crossed the line even under your condition. He sat back at his chair not saying a word again.

"Whatever happens, I want you to know that I don't want this child," you said out of the blue.

"Why are you saying that?" he asked confused.

"I'm just saying." you turned your body opposite him, avoiding any contact.

"Don't you dare commit suicide. You've attempted it in the past, don't fucking do it. You have a daughter." his voice was threatening.

"She loves you, what's the point." you murmured but he heard it.

"Y/n your depression is really transmitting, I can't help you if you can't help yourself at first. If you attempt it, Audrey is done." he tried to turn you from his side but you moved your body as a sign of leaving me alone.

"Just let me give birth to this kid and let me die, I can't be like this anymore." you whimpered. Your depression has been around for a decade. Could have been more if your family issues count.

"Don't say that. Audrey needs you. I need you." his last words sounded like begging.

"You'll find another groupie, you won't need me as you did during our divorce or even before that." your cold voice hit him again.

"Get some rest, I've had enough of you." he left the room without saying anything else and you were finally ready to let your tears fall down. You struggled to keep them for minutes. Now it's time to cry without hesitation.

“Momma, are you sterile?” Your son, Malik asked, at the breakfast table. It was a beautiful Saturday morning and the three of you (your son, your husband, and yourself) were sitting at the dinner table currently eating breakfast as a family for the first time all week due to you all having conflicting schedules.

“Sksksksksks aaaaaaahhh,” Your husband, Trevante, burst into a fit of giggles, sinking down in his chair and clutching his side.

“Lik, you always keep it interesting, I’ll give you that,” he said fist bumping his son. You didn’t share his amusement.

“Keep laughing it up Chuckles and see what happens,” you said rolling your eyes as he continued to laugh at your empty threat.

“Honey, why would you ask me that? Where did you get that from?” You asked turning to your son seriously.

“We learned about it in Sex Ed. They also said statistically African American and Hispanic communities are more likely to have two or more children during their lifetime if given the opportunity plus all my friends have siblings. Look at Diane, her parents just had a baby-“

“Slow down Gregor Mendel, you think just because your girlfriends got a new baby brother then I’m obviously sterile,”

“Well... yeah...”

“Then how did you get here?” You knew you’d got him there.

“I could be adopted...”

“Ha! Not looking like that you not! Face it, lil man, you look just like your pops. Except for that line up maybe. You got ya Mama’s hairline, son, nothing I can do about that,” Tre laughed ruffling Malik’s hair.

“Yeah he also got your big ass head, which I had to push out! Don’t believe me I can show you the video-

“NO!” Malik and Tre called out in unison. No one wanted to see the birthing video. It was not a pretty sight.

“What I thought. Malik, why you suddenly so cursious about this? Somebody tell you that you were adopted? I bet it was yo dumbass uncle, he always-“

“No it wasn’t Uncle Jaime, I just.... thought it’d be nice you know.... to have a little brother. Diane has so much fun with hers, and she loves him, and her and her siblings are so close, and-“

“Since you love their family so much why don’t you let them adopt you, I can send them the legal papers today and have it finalized by Monday morning. You and Diane might have to break up though. Can’t date your sister, Lik, that’s white people mess,” you laughed but your son didn’t seem to share your amusement.

“El. Oh. El.” Your son deadpanned.

“Why now? You do realize if you did have a sibling now, there’d be a 14 year age difference between you two.”

“15 years actually babe, his birthdays in August, that’s less than 9 months away.” You chimed in with your husband.

“Okay, that’s fine with me.” Malik said finishing his pancakes.

“They’ll be a lot of crying. Dirty diapers. Less attention. You’ve been an only child your whole life, you ready to give that up?”

“Yep.” You and your husband looked at each other, quickly realizing he was serious about this.

“Okay well I think that’s enough baby talk for breakfast. Malik go get dressed before you’re late to Soccer practice,” you said picking up your and his finished plates and taking them to the sink.

“Tre you done?” You asked.

“Yeah, thanks.” He said handing you his plate. You could tell by the look in his eyes, he was still thinking about the prior conversation.

Twenty minutes later and your husband was gone to drop off your son at Soccer practice. The two of you had a routine that whoever cooked breakfast, the other one had to drop him off and pick him up from Soccer practice and today it was Tre’s turn at the latter.

You were currently in your study, going over the evidence the DA’s office had supplied for your latest case but your mind was on anything but. You and Tre had never really talked about more kids. As soon as you’d had Malik you went straight back to work for your law firm, and Tre, being a book editor and writer, was able to mostly work from home allowing him to pick up most of the baby rearing slack. The two of you loved Malik to pieces and didn’t feel the need to have another because you both were too busy pouring love into him.

Knock, knock

“Hey, you uh, you busy?” Tre said peaking his head through your study door.

“Nah not really. Can’t concentrate anyway.” You said taking off your readers and massaging your eye.

“You thinking about what I’m thinking about?” Tre sighed as he sank into one of the plush chairs in your study.

“If what you’re thinking about was our son enlisting our reproductive organs in his scheme for a sibling this morning.... then yes.”

“God, why’d you have to word it like that?Makes it sound so...”

“Yep,”

“Well that’s how I’ve been trying to approach this... don’t wanna get too attached to the idea y’know.”

“And why’s that?”

“Because Tre... look at us. We’re past that stage. Past dirty diapers and kindergarten and... and...”

“Being parents?”

“We’re already parents.”

“You know what I mean. I love Malik but the boy’s mature for his age. Always has been. And he’s got his wits about him. We never really had to go through it with him like most kids.” Tre sighed.

“I know, he’s a great kid. We really hit the jackpot with him, why try to make lightening strike twice?” You said rubbing your temples.

“So you don’t want more kids?”

“Never said that.”

“Then what do you want?”

“What do YOU want? You’ve been pretty stoic about this whole thing.” You countered.

“I want us to be honest with each other for once. We’ve haven’t talked about it since... you know....” You did know but you didn’t want to talk about it.

It had happened when Malik was six years old. You and Tre were finally beginning to get into the groove of parenthood when you’d started missing your period. You felt sick constantly and the likeliness of the symptoms to your first pregnancy were uncanny.

You took the test and it was positive so naturally, you and Tre began to prepare. You were in the midst of one of your biggest cases to that date and wanted the first ultrasound to work for both you and Tre’s schedule all while balancing a second grader as well.

You were three months pregnant and due for your first ultrasound but meetings for your case and Tre’s own workload with a new book deal kept causing the two of you to reschedule. And reschedule. And reschedule. And before you knew it, you were five months pregnant but your belly hadn’t expanded barely an inch. You knew something wasn’t right.

On a haphazard will you went to the doctor without him. Turns our you weren’t pregnant. You never were. But you were sick. You had intestinal problems that were causing the disease to manifest to the rest of your body, causing your fatigue, vomiting, loss of period, everything. You were upset. You cried yourself all the way from the doctors office to your home and then there as well. When Tre finally got home with Malik, you took it out on him. Called him everything you could think of. Screamed, yelled, threw things. Finally when he realized there was no reasoning with you, he took Malik and left you.

You thought it’d be temporary, that he would eventually come home. He didn’t. A couple of days turned into a week and you eventually caught him dropping Malik off at school. You demanded the two of you talk.

“Where have you been staying with my son?!” You asked hastily after Malik was safely in the classroom though it wasn’t without a fight. He clung to you the second he saw you and started to cry, forcing you to stop your potential he’ll storm you’d had planned for your so-called husband and comfort your son.

“We’re not doing this here.” Tre said roughly, walking back to his Silverado. You’d thought he was walking away from you and the conversation when he held the passenger door open, waiting for you to get in. You got in silently.

The two of you rode in silence until he pulled up to the nearest coffee shop he saw. You sat down thinking the two of you were about to start but he headed straight for the front, and began to order. Only when he finally came back with his large black coffee extra expresso and your large (Y/F/D) were you finally able to get a word through to him.

“Where have you and Malik been Tre?”

“My sister’s.”

“Why haven’t you answered my calls? I am his mother.” You demanded.

“You think I don’t know that? You don’t think I haven’t been at my wits end the last few days trying to calm Malik down because he thought his mom had lost his mind. You’re an amazing mother but I won’t let anyone traumatize my son like that.” Tre said heavily and you knew you’d seriously messed up.

“I’m.... sorry. I was wrong. I never should have brought that around Malik. Or treated you li-

“This isn’t about me,”

“Yes it is. I love you Tre. And what I did to you wasn’t love. That’s no way to treat a stranger on the street, let alone my husband. And for that I apologize.” You reached over the table to hold his hand and you could literally feel how tense he was.

His jaw was set and he kept his eyes trained on your hand encasing his own. You felt your heart sink that maybe this really was it for you two until he finally gripped your hand back in acceptance.

“So are you going to finally tell me what’s really wrong with you? Since you’re not...,” Tre trailed off.

“Pregnant?”

“Yeah...”

“My lower intestines are failing and it’s wrecking havoc on the rest of my body. I have to have surgery to correct it or I won’t be here much longer.” You said solemnly.

“Shouldn’t you be in a hospital?”

“They can’t legally detain me there.”

“Damn it Y/N, this isn’t about legality for once, it’s about your health! When is your surgery?”

“.... In four days...” Tre stood up at this, nearly knocking the contents of the table to the floor.

“Why didn’t you tell me? All those texts and voicemails and you never once mentioned this?!” He walked out of the cafe and you followed behind him. You watched him from a distance not sure what he might do. You could see tears streaming down his face.

You wrapped your arms around his middle and hugged him while he buried his face into your hair and cried. You didn’t notice when the tears started to fall from your eyes as well, soaking his shirt.

“Tre...”

“Yeah?”

“I don’t wanna be the black people crying in the Starbucks parking lot,” you quipped causing him to chuckles.

“C’mon, lets go home,” Tre sniffled, opening the door for you. You got in and waiting while he got in on his side then the two of you pulled off.

“Aye, Y/N,”

“Hmmm?”

“Don’t you ever keep something like this from me again. If you’re sick, you gotta tell me. We in this together, right?” Tre took your left hand in his right and intertwined them, kissing the back of your hand.

“Right.”

“I don’t want another,” you said quietly, coming out of your thoughts.

“Are you sure, baby?”

“Yeah I’m sure. I love Malik to death. And you as well. You two are enough for me.” You smiled as Tre walked around behind you, kissing your neck.

“Great because I’ve got the perfect way to get Malik off this whole sibling kick,” Tre mumbled into your pulse.

“Hmmm? And how’s that?”

“We get him a Pitbull,”

Harper White is best friends with Luke Hemmings, they always have been. Not only is she friends with the rockstar, but with the rest of 5 Seconds Of Summer, as well as a really nice girl named Erika.

Harper has a few secrets, she can play all the instruments the boys play and many more. It’s a talent she has kept hidden, only very few people know.

What will happen to the six teens, wondering around the world together?

Watching Harper walk away from me, I sigh shaking my head at how simple the solution is to their pain, and walk the other direction, towards the hotel.

Harper and Luke frustrate me so much, they’re blind to the solution, and by the talk I’ve just had with Harper, it’s clear that she wants Luke as much as Luke wants her, she just can’t admit that.

I get both of their views.

Luke wants to be where they used to be, and almost forget every that has happened. I think that’s what we all want, but we know it’s never gonna be the same again, maybe worse, maybe better, I don’t know, just not the same.

Harper wants to forget everything, but not the same way as Luke, she wants to forget Luke. Which is brutal, but that’s how Harper says she wants it, and the heart wants what the heart wants. Although I don’t think it’s the heart talking.

I could be seeing Harper’s view wrong, and she actually doesn’t want anything to do with Luke at all but it’s kinda hard to believe.

I’m torn between supporting Harper in that she needs to get over this herself or that her solution is Luke and only Luke. But going with her theory that she wants nothing to with Luke, she needs to get away from that. I want to be a good friend and support her, but I’m not sure if this is the right decision for her at this moment in time.

I love them both but this makes me want to hit their heads together until they understand.

Even though they were fucking gross together, kissing and being affectionate all the time, I’d still take it, if that means they’re both happy.

I’ve not experienced what they are going through, so there is a certain extent that I don’t understand it, but from an outsider’s view point, what they’re doing can’t be healthy, physically and mentally. You can tell they have both lost some weight, the bags under their eyes signal that they don’t get much sleep, their minds are on each other all the time, and how can it be healthy to be in your thoughts all the time that it’s like they’re not even in the room.

The two of them are suffering, it’s clear, they’re suffering differently though. Harper’s mental health is off the charts and Luke’s heart is off the charts.

Luke’s stuck with nostalgia, whilst Harper is running.

The amount of times I’ve found Luke going through his camera roll on his phone is uncountable. He always has this small broken smile on his face when he looks through them. We want to take the phone off him because he gradually get more distant every time he does it, but if that’s his only joy nowadays I don’t want to be the one to take that away.

Smiling at the receptionist as I walk through the lobby of the hotel we’re staying at, and wait for the elevator to open.

Stepping in and pressing our floor number, then waiting, pulling my phone out in the process.

“Hey.” I say as I walk into Ashton’s hotel room, where everyone seems to be hanging out.

“Hi.” Luke sighs, going back to his phone.

“Hello.” Ashton waves.

“What took you so long?” Michael asks.

“Yeah you were like 17 hours.” Ashton exaggerates.

“I was like 2 and a bit hours, calm down.” I shake my head, sitting in a tacky armchair.

“But what took you so long? We thought you’d be like half an hour later than us.” Luke says.

“Well I was talking to my sister longer than expected then I ran into-”

“Wait, let me guess.” Michael cuts me off. “Britney Spears.”

“Uh no.”

“Highly Suspect?” Ashton questions.

“I wish.” I shake my head.

“An old one night stand?” Luke asks.

“Thank fuck not.” I answer. “Why couldn’t you just let me finish?” I ask.

“Because it will probably be someone we don’t know or someone lame.” Michael tell me.

“Okay, rude, and you better not let them hear that, but I ran into Harper.” I confess.

“What?” I grab Luke’s attention instantly.

“She’s in London?” Ashton asks.

“I swear I could’ve heard her voice when we were leaving.” Michael says.

“You probably did because the room she was in was on the way out.” I confirm.

“Is she still here?” Luke questions.

“Right now she is, she’s gonna go see her brother, but I’m not sure if she’s staying overnight.” I shrug, leaning back in the chair.

“But isn’t her bro-”

“Yeah but he’s staying with his girlfriend or something.” I save Luke the time.

“Oh.”

“So how is she?” Ashton asks.

“She’s um, fine.” I nod vaguely.

“Just fine? That’s all you’re gonna say?” Ashton raises an eyebrow.

“She’s the same as what she was when we last saw her.” I shrug.

“So miserable?” Luke asks.

“I wouldn’t say that.” I try to protect his feelings.

“I’m a grown boy, Cal, I can take the truth.” Luke tells me.

“I know, it’s just a touchy subject.”

“Is she happy with her new boyfriend?” Ashton asks.

“Actually no I can’t.” Luke pokes fun at himself and gets up.

“I think you’ll be happy to hear that he’s just a friend and she’s still single.” I stop him.

“Really?” Luke excitedly asks, then coughs. “I mean, really?” He says normally, making us laugh.

“Yeah, really, so stop getting your pants in a twist.” I sigh.

“Is she really going all the way back to Sheffield now?” Michael asks.

“I’m not sure, I told her we were staying here, but she might stay with her brother, I don’t know.” I shrug.

“What was she here for anyway?” Michael asks.

“A meeting I guess.” I say.

“Ugh, I miss hanging out with Harper.” Ashton groans.

“Same, even though she was annoying and shit, I still miss her.” Michael agrees.

“Why don’t you just text her.” Luke bitterly suggests.

“She’ll never reply.” Michael sighs.

“I actually asked her about that and she said it just doesn’t feel right anymore.” I tell them.

“Uh, how am I not supposed to be offended?” Michael jokes.

“Nah, I understand that though.” Ashtons nods.

“Yeah, things are different, times have changed, people change, and I think it’s time to move on and accept that she doesn’t really want anything to do with us anymore.” Michael says.

“Only thing you can do.” I agree.

“Does she still speak to Erika and Maddie?” Ashton asks.

“I imagine she still talks to Erika for work and stuff, I don’t know.” I shrug.

“No I stay correct, I can’t handle this.” Luke shakes his head walking out, slamming the door lightly.

“They’ve gotta sort this shit out, it’s too much, Luke’s storming out almost everyday, he had a mini break down this morning because he thought she’d actually moved on, at this rate every thing is gonna go into decline in his life, and he’s going to be left with nothing.” I state.

“What really happened when you saw her earlier?” Ashton question.

“She was a mess, she was crying when I walked it. She knows that Luke is the solution she just doesn’t want him to be or can’t believe he is. She said she wants to be back where they used to be, but she can’t and she needs to let go of him.” I explain.

“I just want to shake them until they realize that they’re still perfect together.” Ashton laughs.

“I don’t think Harper is ever gonna get back together with Luke, and I don’t fully understand why.” I tell them.

“I mean, Luke did cheat on her and that’s hard to get over because you think was I not enough? Was our whole relationship a lie? Did you actually love me? Your trust in people goes out the window, and we all know when Harper gets along with someone she puts her all into the relationship, so if she gets nothing back and instead shreds of a broken one, that’s gonna be hard for her. Look at when her dad left her, that took 2 years, and during that she was a mess, and now this is Luke, this hardly compares to that.” Michael points out.

“What Luke and Harper had was the real thing and now I don’t believe love exists.” Ashton sadly chuckles.

“I can’t believe Luke and Harper actually broke up.” I admit.

“I don’t think they can either.” Michael says.

“I honestly thought they’d break up for like 6 weeks then get back together again.” Ashton confesses.

“How long has it been since they broke up?” I ask.

“Like 7 or 8 months.” Ashton answers.

“Could you imagine if this was all some big prank.” Michael jokes.

“I wish.” I chuckle.

“How many time have they seen each other since the break up?” Ashton asks.

“The night of the accident, when she woke up, and when Maddie proposed, theres probably some I’m forgetting.” Michael tells us.

“Do you think there are any that we don’t about?” I question.

“Didn’t they see each other when they went over to Maddie’s?” Michael questions.

“Yeah.” I nod.

“And didn’t she say something about them seeing each other the night before? Like she said they had an argument or something and Luke asked Harper if last night ment nothing to her.” Michael tries to remember.

“Oh yeah, she did say that.” Ashton says.

“Do you think they slept together?” Michael asks.

“Ew, I don’t wanna think about that.” I grimace.

“I don’t either, but why would Luke say that? Also that’s another 2 times they saw each other.” Michael adds.

“I don’t know, is there anything we can do to help them back together?” I question.

“Harper doesn’t want anything to do with Luke though.” Ashton points out.

“No, if you have a conversation with her about this all, you can tell she wants nothing more than to just run into his arms, it’s a fact.” I say.

“What’s stopping her?” Michael asks.

“I haven’t really got a clue.”

“Luke get up.” I poke his arm.

He groans in response.

“We’ve got interviews and shit like that.” I remind him.

“So?” He questions, rolling over.

“So you need to be there, because you’re kinda in the band.” I poke his back, making him tense and wiggle.

“No shit.” He deadpans.

“Luke, you need to get up, the first interview starts in an hour and a half.” I inform.

“I’ve got loads of time.” He mumbles.

“It takes half an hour to get there, and we all know you take the longest to get ready, on top of that you’ve gotta eat.”

“Can’t you just do it without me? It’s not like I’m gonna say much.” Luke asks.

“No.”

“What’s even the point? It’s going to be the same as always, with the same answers. I’m better off just lying in bed all day.” Luke groans.

“I swear to God Luke, I-”

“You’ll what?” He asks.

“For fucks sake, Luke. You can’t keep feeling sorry for yourself all day, you have to sort yourself out at some point.” I exclaim.

“Yeah well that’s not today.” He sighs, rolling over again, looking at me.

“Will not even a kiss get you up?” I tease.

“Why does that sound familiar?” He questions and I laugh.

“‘Cause Harper said that to you once.” I say.

“Ugh don’t mention her name.” He groans.

“Why? She was part or your past, she still exists, you know.” I tell him.

“Don’t I know it.” He rolls his eyes.

“Just please get up.” I urge.

“Fine.” He huffs and throws the covers off him, and sits at the edge of the bed.

“When I said up, I meant get or of bed and get ready, so we can go.” I tell him.

“I’m getting there.” He waves me off. “You sure, you can’t just do it by yourselves?”

“No.” I shake my head.

“Just say I’m sick or something.”

“Luke this isn’t school.”

“Fine.” He grumbles, getting up, and going to his suitcase. “Um, you can go if you want.” He awkwardly says as I pull out my phone.

“Nah, I want to see what Harper saw.” I smirk making him glare at me.

“You’ve seen me naked before, even before her.” Luke says.

“Shut up.”

“Fine, I’ll get dressed with you in here.”

“Have you done your pubes recently?” I ask whilst laughing.

“I’ve got no need to anymore.” He laughs with me, whilst pulling up his jeans. “Got no one to show it to.”

“Have you been with anyone since, you know, you broke up with her?” I question.

“Uh, no.” He furrows his eyebrows.

“Not even kissed?”

“Maybe when I was drunk but if I did I can’t remember.” He answers.

“Has uhm, she?” Luke asks after some silence.

“I don’t think so, I don’t know, I don’t talk about that stuff when I talk to her.” I shrug. “I think she said that she kissed someone on a night out the other day.”

“What else did she say last night?” Luke asks, putting on a shirt.

“Uh…” I trail off. “We talked about you basically.” I confess and I get silence in return.

“She hates me doesn’t she?” Luke asks after a while.

“Uh no, I wouldn’t say that.” I cautiously speak.

“Well does she still have feelings for me?” He questions.

“It’s not my place to say, you should talk to her.” I tell him.

“She wouldn’t reply to me.” He shakes his head.

“When was the last time you talked to her?” I ask.

“When she left me at the airport.” He sadly states.

“What about texted her?”

“Ages ago, like before the accident even happened.” He answers.

“I gave her your number by the way.” I inform.

“You did?” He raises an eyebrow.

“Yeah.” I nod.

“Why’d you do that?” He asks as he does his hair.

“In case she wanted to talk to you or something, I don’t know, I think it gives her comfort to know that you’re just a call away.” I shrug.

“Really?” He questions, looking at me.

“She doesn’t hate you Luke, she even told you herself that she’ll always love you, Harper just doesn’t want to be around you right now.” I tell him.

“Do you think she’ll ever want to be around me again?”

“Of the times right and things have changed then she might want to, I don’t know, I didn’t ask her.” I reply.

“Does she miss me?” He questions.

“I guess, you guys were in each other’s lives physically for 18 years, and now they’re gone, you’re gonna miss them. She saw you nearly everyday her whole life, you’re gonna have this connection and she’s bound to miss that. You miss her, don’t you?”

“Yeah.” He nods.

“Then there’s a chance she’ll miss you like you miss her.” I say.

“But she doesn’t want me anymore, I lost her.” He states.

“Yeah you did.” I agree.

“Do you think I have a chance to get back with her?” Luke asks.

“Not anytime soon, she’s not ready for anything like that, I don’t think. Maybe in the future, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up. It’s time to move on Luke, it’s been like 8 months, you can’t keep waiting around, just accept she’s gone, she’s the one that got away, and I’m not sure if there’s anything you can do about that.”

“It’s a lot easier said than done.” He shakes his head.

“She can’t understand that you cheated of her and why you’re so upset.” I tell him.

“I didn’t cheat on her because I didn’t love her anymore, there is no reason as to why I did it, I was just fucking stupid and ruined the best thing that ever happened to me.” He shakes his head in disappointment.

“To her, it’s not really about the cheating, sure that hurt like a bitch, but the actual break up is why she’s hurting so much. I know that she hates you for it, but she doesn’t hate you.” I reply.

“I wouldn’t say that.” He bitterly chuckles.

“It’s true, she doesn’t hate you.”

“How come every time we see each other she seems to hate me then.”

“She’s never been in the right headspace when she’s seen you. I don’t know, she doesn’t hate you, I promise.” I reassure.

“When do you think she’ll ever be in the right headspace?” He asks.

“That’s a conversation for another day and when we have more time.”

“So any music coming out anytime soon?” The interviewer, George, asks us.

“Maybe after the tour, but not anytime soon.” Ashton answers.

“Then again, we could be lying.” Michael says, putting his hands up.

“Then again.” I chuckle.

“So how has life been since you took this little hiatus?” George questions.

“Oh.” I awkwardly chuckle.

“We went back home for a while, and uh, had to do some stuff back there.” Michael replies.

“What happened? It had to be pretty urgent for you to take 2 months off tour.” He obliviously chuckles.

“We have a friend there and um she got in a serious accident.” Ashton informs.

“Oh, no way, I didn’t know. Is she okay now?”

“Yeah, I guess she’s fine.” Ashton nods.

“Good, so what are you looking forward to the most about being on tour again.” George questions.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the crowd sing with us.” Ashton answers.

“Running around on stage and messing with Luke.” Michael laughs.

“I feel like I’m in primary school again, uh, I’m looking forward to just performing, really.” I shrug.

“Luke.” He urges.

“Uh, I’m looking forward to interacting with fans and traveling.” Luke speaks for the first time.

“So who’s single?” He asks.

“Me.” Ashton raises his hand.

“Me too.” I raise my hand as well.

“Me three.” Michael answers, making me playfully glare at him.

“Me.” Luke sighs.

“You recently got out of a serious relationship, correct.” George asks Luke.

Luke just nods his head and bites his lip in response.

“How’s that been? You glad you’re out of it so you can do what most teenage boys do?” He cockily laughs.

“Um, I wouldn’t say that.” Luke chuckles, playing with the ring on his finger. “Uh, we broke up a little while ago, it’s different, I can say that. She’d been in my life for 18 years, so it’s been hard.”

“Are there any hard feelings? I imagine there is.”

“Not really, we don’t really talk much anymore, but she’s an amazing person and I don’t think I could speak badly of her. She’s was a huge part of my life so it’d be wrong to do so, it wasn’t a particularly bitter break up. She’s helped me through some tough times in the past, and I’ll be forever greatful for that because I couldn’t of done it without her. She’s so important to me, even still, and I miss her, but she’s living her best life and I can’t be mad at that.”

I wouldn’t say best life.

“Are you on good terms now?”

“We don’t talk much, but last time we spoke it was a little rocky, but what break up isn’t? I’ll always think highly of her, so I’d like to think we’re on good terms. We’ve moved on with our lives now, and it’s an end of an era.” Luke bites his lip.

“There’s always going to be something for her.”

Well this person has $200,000/$200,000. So far all my bills have been paid through my insurance. When I do the math for what all the bills are is comes to roughly $28350. It’s been two weeks since the boys have left, and I’ve been a fucking mess. I mean when am I not, to be honest. Erika has tried to help me but she hasn’t really had much experience with mental health problems.

I’ve spoken to the boys a lot, they’ve helped me be happy, but as soon as I end the call I sink back into darkness. Luke especially has helped me, mainly because he’s worried about me, but he knows how to deal with me.

I’ve missed him so much, a couple of nights ago I called him up crying down the phone, just letting everything out. I really needed his arms around me that night, I got through it though, on my own unfortunately.

My mother is back from her trip, she hasn’t said much about it, neither am I interested to be fair. A bit mean, I know, but she’s been on them for the last couple of years and I’ve gotten used to it.

I’ve just got back from my ‘studio’ I guess you could call it, Luke and I have never given it a name - that’s something we should do though. I’m meeting up with Erika, because we have literally nothing else to do. We had nothing to do with the boys around anyway but there were more people to talk to, rather than just two.

“Hello.” I smile as much as I can at this moment in time and hug her.

“Hey, how have you been?” She asks.

“As good as I can be I guess, you?” I shrug and she sends me a sympathetic smile.

“I’m great.” She grins.

“Umm, don’t have a clue.” She chuckles.

We walk away from the park and on my way to my house.

Passing Luke’s house on the way, I look up into his bedroom. Seeing his blue lampshade, the amount of hours we’ve spent looking up at his ceiling in silence, holding hands.

Memories.

Inserting my key into the lock and twisting, the door opens and I step in, Erika following behind me. Walk up the stairs and into my bedroom, sitting on the edge of my bed.

Pulling my phone out and scrolling through Twitter. Suddenly realising that I’m getting a lot of hate. About me hanging out with Luke and the other boys, and one that really caught my eye is about my mental health. Now I’ve not told our subscribers about my mental health issues, so I dont know how they know. Maybe I’m not such a great actor.

I put on this really happy act, but as soon as the camera turns off I’m back to my normal fucked up self.

“Are you getting any hate?” I question.

“No more than usual.” She shrugs.

I frown, and continue to scroll through all of the mean tweets. “Stop scrolling through them.” Erika warns.

“You’re right.” I sigh and lock my phone, throwing it to the other side of my bed.

My laptop starts to ring and I see Luke calling me. Rolling over and accepting the call.

Suddenly Michael, Luke and Ashton pop up on my screen. “Hello.” I genuinely smile.

“How are you?” Luke asks.

I shrug in response and he gets the message. “So what have you been doing?” Ashton questions.

“Well Erika and I have just come back from the park and that’s about it.” I say and turn my laptop towards Erika, she waves.

“Hi.” Michael grins.

“What about you guys?” I ask.

“Not much to be honest, just practicing and messing around really.” Ashton answers.

“Where’s Calum?” I question.

“He is talking to his mum on the phone.” Michael tells me.

Erika comes and lays on top of my back, making me let out a groan. “Ugh, get off.” I laugh.

“You can’t do that, that’s my job.” Luke pouts.

“Sorry Luke, but until you’re gone I’m going to have to fill in boyfriend duties.” She grins

“Alright, just no kissing and no sex.” He warns.

“I agree with that too.” I tell her.

“Eh, I’ll try and keep my hands off her.” She smirks.

“No! I do that, not you, or anyone else in fact.” He pouts.

“Well I better get going, I’ll be ready for you babe.” Erika winks at me, starting to climb off me.

“Good, be ready for some kinky shit.” I say.

“Yep, I’ll set it up. Bye boys.” She smiles and walks out of my bedroom.

“Bye!” I call over my shoulder to her.

I hear the door close and I turn back to my laptop. “Well, we’ll leave you on that note.” Michael chuckles.

“We’ll give you and Luke some time for Skype sex, bye.” Ashton smirks.

“Wow you’re so funny you guys!” I sarcastically laugh.

“Fuck off.” Luke groans and they leave.

“So how has tour been?” I ask.

“Really fun, tiring though.” He smiles.

“Yeah, I bet. So where are you going to be next week?” I question.

“Umm I don’t know exactly but we’re going to be around Queensland.” He answers.

I nod, an idea coming to mind.

“I miss you guys.” He sadly smiles.

“We miss you too.”

“Have you been on Twitter today?” He questions.

“Yeah.” I sigh.

“I don’t know why all of a sudden they decide to hate on you.” Luke says.

“I’m used to it I guess, maybe it’s just getting to me now because of my mental state.” I said.

“I wish I could ask them to stop, but then they would get what they want, as well as drawing attention to it all.”

“I’ve dealt with it for the past few years, sometimes it gets to you, sometimes it doesn’t, usually the latter. I just want to curl up into a ball and watch Harry Potter, with you also.” I bitterly chuckle.

“You got much homework?” He asks smugly.

“Loads. Can’t I just drop out a play in your band?” I groan.

“What are you going to play?” He laughs.

If only he knew.

“I don’t know the triangle.” I huff and he laughs.

“Only you Harper, only you.”

I got off of Skype with Luke about an hour ago, we just chatted and messed around for a while, smiling for the first time in a while.

“So I was thinking that we could go on a road trip.” I muse.

“To.” Erika drags out.

“Go visit the boys, I mean we could fly if you don’t feel like driving.” I suggest.

“But we have school.” She points out.

“Half term this week, you idiot.” I say.

“Obviously, we don’t tell them.” Erika tells me.

“Sometimes, you are so stupid.” I mutter.

“Yeah well, I don’t have a come back so shut the fuck up.” She laughs.

“So are we driving or not?” I ask.

“I don’t think I could be bothered to drive that much.”

“Plane it is then.”

“How long do we stay for?” She ask.

“Only a couple of days, I don’t want to stay a long time. I just need a breather, and a get away will do perfectly.” I sigh.

“Okay, so this will be?” She questions.

“Umm well I saw that they will be in Brisbane in a few days. It’s Sunday now, and I read that they’ll be there on Tuesday or Wednesday. We’ll work from there.” I explain.

“I’m excited now.” She squeals.

“Me too.” I smile and just imagine the look on their faces.

“You and Luke can get it on, again.” Erika teases.

“Oh, yes we will.” I laugh.

“Eww, tmi, did not need to know that. Now that’s all I can think of.” She says in distress.

“You can’t expect me to not fuck my boyfriend after two weeks of absolutely nothing.” I reason with her. “I would expect the same from you and Ashton.” I throw a jab at her.

It’s Wednesday morning and Erika and I are heading off to Brisbane. I had to negotiate with my parents, but they finally let me fly out.

I spoke to the boys yesterday and it was funny because they haven’t gone a single clue that we’re going to see them.

We booked hotels instead of being on their bus, mainly because we don’t want to be sleeping on there, Erika is a bit claustrophobic also, and…

Maybe another reason for staying in a hotel is because I can have sex with Luke in private and a lot easily.

I’m looking forward to seeing them perform to be honest, I used to go to all of their shows.

We’re going for three days, possibly four. The flight takes around an hour and a half.

Erika and I are currently in the airport, waiting to get on our flight.

My phone buzzes and I look down to see I have a text from Luke.

Luke: where are you?

Me: at home, why?

Luke: oh, I just saw a picture of you and Erika in what looks like an airport.

Me: no not us, I wish though. I’m at home and I don’t know where Erika is.

Luckily I have a picture that I sent to Erika a couple of months back of me sitting on my sofa at home.

“Someone has snapped a picture of us and Luke has seen it.” I tell Erika.

“Shit, what did you do?”

“I sent him a picture I sent you a couple of months back of me at home.” I answer.

“So he doesn’t know?” She ask.

“Nope, not yet at least.”

A voice calls out our flight and we make our way to go and board it.

We’re currently making our way through the airport. The flight was alright, a bit of a bumpy landing and popped ears, other than that its all okay.

“Fuck, I’m so excited.” I giggle.

We go up to a taxi and I tell him the address of the hotel. Getting into the back, the taxi driver starts making his way.

Making small talk with Chris (his name) and I go on my phone. “So let’s go to our hotel rooms and take a nap, then stay there for a while.” Erika says.

“Yeah, and then surprise them.” I grin.

It takes about 35 minutes to get to our hotel, we’ve just paid and we’re checking in.

Collecting our individual keys, and walking into the elevator. “I can’t wait, I feel like a child on Christmas.” I chuckle.

“Me too.”

The doors open and we part ways into our separate rooms.

Opening my suitcase and changing into some jeans and a flannel shirt, undoing some buttons, showing a bit of cleavage, as opposed to some yoga pants and a crop top.

I hear a knock at my door so I go and open it, still doing some buttons up. “Hello.” I smile at Erika.

“Sexy.” She winks and makes her way to my bed.

“What are you doing here?” I ask.

“There is a cleaning lady in my room and the sexual tension in there is unbearable so I came here.” She shrugs.

“Right.” I nod. “If I do this up, will I look like a lesbian?” I question and demonstrate.

“No, but I think you should wear something under under it and undo all the buttons.” She suggests.

I shrug and put a black crop top on with white stripes which has ¾ length sleeves.

This outfit looks alright without the flannel, and its comfy.

Finishing it all off I put on some black chunky ankle boots with a heel. “What do you think?” I ask.

“Looks great, Luke won’t be able to keep his hands off you.” She smirks.

I roll my eyes and start doing my makeup.

We’ve just gotten to the venue, and I’m kind of panicking. What if he is making out with another girl? What if he doesn’t love me anymore?

“Stop, he loves you.” Erika says.

“I know.” I sigh.

We know their security team, so they let us in easily. We’re on our way to their dressing room, just a couple minutes away.

Turning a corner I see their dressing room, hearing the music blasting out of some speakers.

Walking in, they have their backs to us and Ashton is shirtless.

“SUPRISE!” Erika and I shout in unison.

They quickly turn around and their eyes widen, all of them sporting huge smiles. “Oh my God! Harper!” Luke smiles and runs up to me.

I wrap my arms around his waist and take in his scent. “What are you doing here?” He questions.

“I came here to see you, I needed to get away from home so I decided to come here.” I explain.

“Are you o-” I cut him off my pressing my lips to his.

I just don’t want to answer that question to be honest, it seems he doesn’t mind either because he is as eager as I am.

He gently holds my waist and I wrap an arm around his neck. “Okay I understand that you haven’t seen each other in a while, but I really don’t want to see this.” Ashton complains.

Luke and I flip him off, Luke swipes his tongue along my bottom lip, I gladly accept it and part my lips, both exploring each others mouths and hands roaming all over our bodies.

After a while we reluctantly part and smile at each other. “You’re actually here.” He whispers as he presses his forehead against mine.

“Yeah.” I chuckle.

“Are you coming to the show tonight.” He questions.

“Of course! Wouldn’t miss it for the world.” I say.

“How long are you here for?” He asks.

“3 maybe 4 days.” I tell him.

“Where are you staying?”

“At a hotel.”

He smirk forms on his lips and I laugh.

“After the show Hemmings.”

I hug and say hi to all the other boys who are just as happy to see us as Luke. “So how have you been?” Michael asks.

“Been better.” I sigh.

“You never told us what happened. Like all of a sudden you were sad and never said anything about it.” Calum brings up.

I humorlessly chuckle and shake my head. “Well I don’t know what happened either. Like I came back from school one day and I felt so fucking down and empty. Everything was/is perfect, but I still feel down. You guys going away probably didn’t help.” I explain.

“Oh, I’m sorry to here that.” Ashton frowns.

“Did you know?” Michael asks Luke.

“Of course I did.”

“Oh that explains what you said at the airport.” Erika blurts out.

“What?” Ashton question confused.

“Oh shit did I say that out loud?”

We all nod. “Luke told me to look after you, and I didn’t know why but now I know.” She explains.

“Sometimes you remind me of Pheobe from Friends.” Luke mutters.

It’s a while later and the show starts in 15 minutes we’re all just messing around when Emperors New Clothes bye Panic! At The Disco comes on. Luke and I both look at each other wide eyed and smirk.

The amount of times we’ve sang this together.

Luke Luke starts off sexily sings the first verse being all dramatic about it. The high note is coming along and Luke points at me, I grab the air dramatically as I sing it.

The songs ends and we all laugh. Towards the end everyone joined in and it was a cool moment we all shared.

“Well, we better get going, see you after the show.” Erika says.

“Yeah. Good luck babe.” I tell Luke and kiss him.

“Thanks.” He smiles and kisses my forehead.

“Uh babe, where is my kiss?” Calum questions.

“Here.” I say and kiss his cheek winking at Luke as I do it, enjoying Luke tensing up.

“My first kiss!” He shrieks.

“Bye have a good one.” Erika calls as we walk away.

We’re halfway through the show now and its been really fun. I haven’t been to a concert in ages and this is a great comeback.

They’re currently just talking and messing around.

“So, there are some special people here tonight.” Michael starts off.

“Some people we love dearly.” Luke smiles.

“Someone Luke especially loves a lot.” Ashton teases.

Luke shakes his head and looks up at us. I flip him off and he repeats my actions. “Oh look there’s Luke’s girlfriend, I was looking for you guys. They wouldn’t tell us where they were. It was like Where’s Wally.” Michael blurts out.

My jaw drops and I facepalm. “Michael.” Calum groans.

“Well there’s our cover gone.” Luke laughs.

“Sorry.” He laughs. “I’m not really.” He whispers into the mic.

“Yes, I have a girlfriend, I’m not going to say who it is, but I think we all know who it is…” Luke trails off and looks up at me, mouthing ‘sorry’.

“Well done! It wasn’t that hard, so I don’t know why you guys kept it a secret for so long.” Calum pokes.

“Well I wasn’t the one who wanted to keep it a secret.” Luke takes a jab.

“I fucking hate him sometimes.” I laugh.

I they continue playing the rest of the show and Erika and I carry on singing along as well as cheering, just being a fangirl of my boyfriend’s band.
