why are like 95% of genshin mlm ships so boring and cliche😭

the funniest thing about me writing a cute little shippy first kiss oneshot is that 1) i googled how to describe a first kiss, opened three separate sites and then never read a single one bc i declared them to be bullshit, 2) because it's me both characters are highkey anxious and convinced their crush is unrequited when i actually wanted it to just be a sappy present for a friend, 3) the characters do actually talk, which was highly improbable, but also refuse to say the word love out loud which i think is hilarious, and 4) i'm pretty sure i managed to be both ooc and incredibly accurate at the same time and no, i don't know how

#just reread and edited it and uhhh #yeah its stupidly adorable but also the pov character spends half the time convincing himself that hes not loveable #but you know. after some consideration. i think i could write really cute romance stuff if i wanted to. i think i could be pretty good at i #but also i dont want to. and its annoying myself even. like i could make characters smooch in the cutest way and ik lots of peeps love #reading romance i am convinced i could provide some. but also.#no. i dont like shipping that much. i dont really like romance. the second i like a character i aroace-beam them #its a bloody shame! i could be so good at this! but i dont want to!#idk its funny but it also frustrating #its like looking at something you could have which is sooooo cool and kinda wanting to have it but also nahhhh #a biscuit's rambles

#Aah I have so many thoughts concerning this episode #First of all: that I can think of Lucy really is the character that grew the most on me.#I remember I really didn't feel strongly for her the first time I watched and through the first year or so‚#even after finishing reading the manga‚ but now I really like her a lot and feel strong sympathy for her!!#Second. I remember the first time watching I found Fitzgerald's portrayal really distatsteful...#Like I get there's a whole deal of the usa's economic power having destroyed literal countries.#And Japanese people are rightfully enraged at them.#And I get there's a whole deal of cultural colonization made by the usa of half the world #That said. I don't like countries stereotypes in general no matter the country. I believe it's harmful to enable stereotypes full stop.#Moreso in bsd where a lot of it feels to me like “Our country is the best and all other countries are bad / evil / lesser”#(Again like. There IS an issue with how every single foreign character is a villain if you ask me)#(And this is coming from someone who's not from the usa nor feels particular kinship with it.#Just to clarify that I shouldn't be holding preceding bias. Again I just dislike stereotypes in general‚ the country doesn't matter)#Third I LOVE Lucy's va they're sooooo good!!!! I adore them in p/p voicing Akane–#and it's extraordinary to see them voice a villain in this episode. I love them so so much they're so good at what they do #Fourth I remember the first time watching the episode it was immensely amusing how between Akutagawa and Lucy‚#it really felt like everyone was trying to make a competition with Atsushi on who had the most miserable orphan life. Like guys‚ wtf 😂😂#Fifth another thing that bugged me MASSIVELY was Lucy's reaction to Mori like… What even is that………#Idk it's probably not a big deal and it's probably just an issue with me but.#It's just that in the context of bsd already being plenty sexist everywhere you look.#You have a female character who's evidently got the upper hand‚ in her own reign‚ with a super powerful ability–#facing a defenseless male character. And yet the male character is implied to win due to the power of his……… Frightening stare.#Like you DO get why it irks me right. One thing would have been if that was an ability he had‚#but also the way it only seems to effect Lucy… To me it really adds to a rhetoric of women being more frail / easily scared–#because it's not like Mori was ever able to use his special move: scary look™ on anyone else #So y'know :///#That's it. #rat rambles #spiraling upwards #warriors posting #girlies who are trying so soooo hard to support womens wrongs but the wrongs are that their wife is cheating on them #and now she cant even get closure cause said wife is dead along with the man she cheated on her for #like charredpelt isnt stupid she knows these cats too well but thats exactly why she keeps to this day justifying them to herself #all while living as the sole parent to their children #the worst part is that if she had just been properly talked to abt it first she probably would have been ok with it #but she wasnt. she didnt even get the choice to set up boundaries #for the record shes my favorite cragclan cat and has been since she came out as trans lol #shout out to daisystar tho my boy is so cute and also so messed up <3 #and egretpaw and furzepaw ofc get honerable mentions but theyre main characters so ofc I've thought a lot abt them #but yeah for cragclan I deliberately chose out cats I hoped would kill eachother and instead they just got into a bunch of love traingles #and then I made eagle clan with the same goal with a bloodthirsty deputy but then conestar just loved everyone and was loved by everyone #hell the one cat who disliked her at first is her wife now girlie is just sitting here loving her wife and family #I honestly couldn't tell you who my favorites in any other clan is tbh #I do adore most of elmclan but I cant say theres anyone I like that much more than everyone else #like honeystar is definitely the one who caught my attention first due to her hashtag trauma playing out in real time right away #but also thistlepeak and whimsygoose are sooooo silly I love them quiet kitty and their loud rude kitty husband #oh and also pumpkin shes not that deep of a character I just think shes cute #for eagleclan I cannot lie to you I barely remember anyone in there atm but I do love conestar shes so silly #and minkclan is another hard one caus they're the first one I made so I have a lot of love for basically all of them #but blazebelly was my og favorite shes like charredpelt but instead of having a wife cheating on her it never got past a one sided crush #and lightnip is also a current fave of mine shes so mean I love her #ratstar has always been one of my favorites of all the clans tho shes just so silly and incompetent #and shout out to nightfur for being the only cat I've ever seen generate with romantic feelings towards a cat #it was for my default dead cat raincinder who is also a shitty asshole but that just means nightfur is tragic now <3 #oh yeah I should probably provide more exicit context on the clangen stuff huh #basically I made the four main clans in clangen and used the gameplay as a skeleton for backstory and worlduilding #building off of premade characters and concepts has always been one of my favorite things (as seen by how many randomized aus Ive done)
