Hello Lovelies!

Now Ren Faire has been over for quite some time, but it seems plenty of our folks didn’t quite get the memo. I have received reports of multiple fights breaking out all over town, some physical and others verbal, and there’s been more than a fair share of heartbreak.

Allegedly famous in the outside world, Liam Jefferson and Hunter Hilton had a full on brawl ending in the pair being physically ripped from each other by concerned citizens. From the looks of it, it seems as though Mr. Hilton was turned down by Mr. Jefferson and was not taking the rejection well. It's not surprising that Mr. Jefferson has better things to do considering that he is a new father of two. Really, Mr. Hilton should dust himself off—just because one boy rejects you doesn't mean you need to rush back into the closet. 

You especially don't need to be yelling from the rooftops that you have a girlfriend. Quite the rebound from the looks of it, though I find it hard to believe Miss Valeria Moreno is settling down. That is one girl who has never been afraid to let the world know she is available for anything casual. Word on the street is that she has quite the extensive roster of hookups collected from our town. Her own roommate Saffron Aubert is reportedly much more than a roommate, which I have to give them credit for, is convenient considering the close proximity. She has also been spotted kissing fellow rangers Marcus Zhao and Cain Barlowe, is not afraid to get a little risque and exhibitionist with our resident fighter Kane Bentley, and has been more than a bit handsy in public with one Guillermo Reyes, who is his own can of worms when it comes to relationships. That boy has never been the particularly loyal type if his track record is to be believed. Good luck to his so-called partner, since Mr. Reyes is clearly not nearly as put together as his eldest sister.

But I digress, no need to name every single one of her bedroom companions, after all. Honestly, Mr. Hilton, if you want to show you're not truly hurt by Mr. Jefferson's rejection, there are much more believable girls to say are your girlfriend if you really must carry on this way. I hear that Jessica Sinclair is single and recently heartbroken by a handsome firefighter who is quite the town disaster. Poor thing. 

Speaking of, what to say about someone like Nathanial Dawson? You'd think that with his son in town, he'd clean up his act, or at the very least that his captains would be able to keep a better handle on him. And yet he's been frequently spotted at the bar, more than a few drinks in, most notably with [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. 

He has also been seen with one of our elementary school teachers, Mr. Edgar Wayne. Something about sharing a pair of orange pants? I’ll be honest, I may be a bit past my prime when it comes to understanding all these new euphemisms. Still, someone may want to inform Principal Yvette Alson about this, since I doubt she wants to see her best friend dragged down to Mr. Dawson's rock bottom. Mr. Wayne may wish to reconsider this friendship for the sake of maintaining some sense of professionalism. I already have reports of parents being very concerned about someone with his associations teaching their children. You are an example for the youth of this town, sir. 

I do hope the Fire Station Captains can help Mr. Dawson get the help he seems to desperately need. But on the subject of one of those captains, there has recently been a lot of chatter about him thanks to one Zoë Clark, who seems to be quite the busy bee as of late—though whether that's because she has some type of personal vendetta against our Mayor is anyone's guess. Multiple people have verified she is causing quite a stir with talks of having an election. Now I won't say how I feel about that, in the spirit of keeping this column a neutral, third party space, but I can confirm that she has pitched Fire Captain Phoenix Romero-Sawyer and Louis Ryan as suitable replacements.

Whether others will agree with this assessment, or might even throw their own name into the ring, remains to be seen. Personally, I do think either of these two members of founding families would make fine mayors, and with their long standing ties to the town, you know that they'd look out for everyone. Then again, Mayor Nat has done a tremendous job for over a decade, and some might not wish to fix what isn't broken.

Finally, a serious note of warning. There is a new resident in our town who has been seen physically assaulting another citizen. I would tread very carefully with those you interact with in the coming days—especially strangers. Seems some people are wound too tight and you never know who's going to blow up. 

That's all I have for you today, because I am running out of printing space even though I have a few things left in my little inbox. At least it gives you all something to look forward to—other than the upcoming Pumpkin Festival of course!

Summary: A young nursing aide cheers up Kane and Jaha while they’re stuck in medical bay.

Individual accidents had landed Marcus Kane and Thelonious Jaha in the medical bay at the same time. Kane had sprained his right ankle. Jaha had a bump on the head. After a checkup, Abby Griffin determined that they had suffered only minor injuries and could soon return to work, but she wanted them to remain in medical bay for a while – just to make sure they were alright.

“You both need to rest,” Abby told them.

They knew she was right, but still…neither man wanted to be there.

“Pam,” Abby called to her staff. “Bring Kane a cold compress for his ankle and change his dressing.”

Pam Bronson was an eighteen-year-old nursing aide. She was new on the job and thrilled to be working with Abby Griffin. Pam had a friendly smile, a light dusting of freckles on her nose, and strawberry blonde hair pulled back in a conservative bun.

“Yes, ma’am.”

Pam fetched the cold compress for Kane whose hurt foot was propped up on pillows for elevation. Jaha already had an ice pack on his head. The two men sat side by side. They had each other to talk to, but neither of them looked very happy.

Pam wanted to cheer them up. She told them some funny jokes that she had heard recently. After a few minutes, Kane and Jaha lightened up and chuckled a bit.

She loved to make people smile and laugh. She believed that keeping patients cheery was a very important part of medical care. So, the young lady was more than happy to stay and entertain the men.

“How did you both get hurt?” she asked.

There was a moment of silence as Kane and Jaha looked at each other, both clearly a little embarrassed about what had happened.

Finally, Jaha spoke up.

“Let’s just say that we’re a couple of clumsy oxes,” he said with a half-smile.

“I see…Well, anyway, like Dr. Griffin said, you both need lots of rest and relaxation and I’m going to make sure you get it.”

She brought them each a drink of water and made sure they were comfortable. Then, she sat down with Kane to change his dressing.

“You remind me of Florence Nightingale,” Jaha commented. “She was the greatest nurse of them all.”

“I would love to be a doctor someday,” Pam said as she wrapped the bandage around Kane’s ankle. The bandage covered half of his foot, leaving his toes and the ball of his foot exposed.

“Is that so?”

“Yep! I’ve dreamed about being a doctor since I was a little girl.”

“Well, I think you’re off to a great start,” Kane said.

As Pam looked at Kane’s bare foot, she began to wonder if he might be ticklish.

“Never give up on your dreams, Pam,” Jaha encouraged her.

She smiled at Jaha and then looked back at Kane. After replacing the bandage, she held the ice pack in place on his ankle.

“That feels good,” Kane said as he closed his eyes and laid his head back to relax.

Pam’s curiosity got the best of her, and she began tickling his toes with her index finger.

Kane was indeed very ticklish, and he burst out laughing.

“Oh no! Please don’t!” Kane squealed.

Pam started laughing, too. Jaha watched with a smirk on his face. How unusual and enjoyable it was to see Kane squirming and laughing uncontrollably.

“Get him, Pam. Get him!” Jaha cheered her on.

“Tickle, tickle,” Pam teased, now tickling his tummy with both hands.

Kane grabbed her wrists and tried to push her hands away, but her fingers kept on wiggling against his stomach. He threw his head back and howled with laughter while begging for her to stop.

Pam stopped tickling, but she couldn’t stop herself from laughing in mischievous delight. Sometimes she would meet children who were feeling down or grumpy, and she loved to cheer them up with tickles. This was the first time she had done it to a grown man.

“What’s going on here?” Abby demanded.

Pam spun around to face her boss. Her smile disappeared.

“I’m entertaining the patients, Dr. Griffin.”

“We have other patients here that need attention,” Abby reminded her.

“Right. I’m sorry,” Pam said, blushing a bit.

Abby watched her go, and then Abby turned her focus to Jaha and Kane.

“She’s a nice girl,” Jaha said.

Kane caught his breath and smiled sheepishly. “And she’s a tickler, too.”

Jaha chuckled. “Marcus, I never knew you were so ticklish.”

“My mother used to tickle me when I was a little boy,” Kane said, sighing happily as he recalled the warm memories. “It was lots of fun.”

Abby cracked a sly smile. She did think that was kind of cute.

“Well, anyway, how are you both feeling now?” she inquired.

Jaha reached up to feel the bump on his head. “I’ll have a bump on the head for a while, but at least my headache is gone.”

“My ankle is feeling better,” Kane said, wiggling his toes. “I think I could walk on it…”

“Just the same, I would prefer you both continue to take it easy…but you’re both going to be just fine.”

As Pam went on with her work, she smiled to herself. The young nursing aide felt happy knowing that she had made two of her patients smile. As cheesy as it may sound, to keep them smiling would always remain her favorite part of the job.

BACKGROUND: She is Tony's little sister that was friends with the Davenports and worked on the team along with them. She often went away and joined Oliver, Kaz, and Skylar on their adventures then both teams met, and she had to explain she knew both teams. (marvel and lab rats are same universe confirmed by Disney) She never told anyone she was Tony's little sister until a little into the seasons of lab rats and beginning of mighty med. She was given a biotic chip after asking Davenport and uses a mix of her powers and biotics together.

There will be a list of her powers/biotics and an explanation. :) Enjoy

Memory manipulation - Yumi can show her memories and manipulate someone's memories to complete a task. She will use this to show the past or explain something better. Bringing up the memories can make her relive the memory and can be very hard for her. Her memories also change to remembering less depending on her age change.

Flight (biotics and powers) - Yumi can fly. She can fly via her angel wings or fairy powers. Even simple magic can make her fly. She uses this often.

Fire (biotics) - Yumi can manipulate fire, create fire in her hands. Possible to engulf herself but only does it in needed situations.

Energy manipulation (biotics) - she can different use energy forms that come out of her hands

Universal travel - Yumi can travel universes and uses this to get to different universes where she is needed. This is one of her most used powers. A downside is that after using the power she can not use it for a bit until she recharges the power.

Dark magic - Dark magic can be useful and she uses it to fight the dark side and she does have a dark personality inside of her.

Angel powers - She is an angel so she has angel magic. For example flame magic and being able to conquer items.

Elf Magic - Elf magic is based on The Bureau Of Magical Things.

WHAT

7. What’s the first thing we’d see in your fridge?

Currently, a large order of cheese dip and salsa from our favorite Mexican restaurant in town.

10. What does your everyday, average day look like?

It's pretty quiet. I get up and eat something and help my Mom with my great-niece whom we babysit while her parents work. When she goes home, I make sure that my husband's coffee is ready for when he gets up to go to work. Then we watch television and take care of our dogs before I get online for the evening. There are other little things here and there but that's the gist of my day.

WHY

12. Do you like having many friends, just a handful, one, or none? Why?

I like having a handful because I'd rather be closer to a few than have a lot of not close relationships with a lot of people.

13. If you could live in a movie or movie franchise, which would it be? Why?

It's not a movie franchise but a television franchise. It would be H2O: Just Add Water because I really feel like I was a mermaid in another life. I absolutely love the idea of being a secret mermaid and living in Australia's sunshine and beautiful country.

14. Think about one of the things you would really like to do, try or learn. Do you plan to do it eventually? Why haven’t you done it?

I've been considering learning how to crochet. Every time I have the opportunity to buy the supplies to start, I talk myself out of it because I have Psoriatic Arthritis and my fingers give me so much trouble because they are permanently crippled. So while I'd really love to try, I don't want to make myself hurt worse than they do on their own with just typing and the things that I have to do.

16. Do you find communication easy or difficult? Why?

It really depends on the person. Sometimes personalities make it harder to communicate than it does with others. But I do try as hard as I can to make it work all the way around for both parties. It doesn't always work though.

20. Why are you really RPing?

Because I love collaborating with others and seeing how they play their muses. It's more challenging than solo writing.

29. Who are your favourite characters?

Fox Mulder (The X-Files), Carol Peletier/Rick Grimes (The Walking Dead, and Marcus Kane (The 100).

WHEN

32. When do you usually go to bed? Do you fall asleep immediately?

I usually lay down around one or two, but it takes me a bit to fall asleep. And I have to have a television going to stay asleep because my brain won't shut off.

The moment that it doesn't feel right or good.

WHERE

42. Where would you go for a holiday if it was your last chance to on this earth?

Disney World. With my entire family.

48. If you could time travel, where and when would you go? 

I would go back to April 26, 2005. I would tell my Dad everything that something was telling me to tell him that night before I went to bed. The next day it was too late, and I never got to tell him that I loved him and that I was grateful for everything that he had ever done for me and my son.

49. Where is your least favourite place and why?

The dentist's office. Because it causes me a lot of anxiety.

HOW

54. Aside from writing, how do you spend your free time?

With my family. I also dabble in making jewelry and playing video games.

55. Is there someone in your life you feel you should be spending more time with? How much time are you spending with them now?

My son. I wish we had more in common and could go and do things like when he was little.

56. How important is getting to know a mun when writing with them? 

Honestly, you're not going to be best buddies with everyone that you write with. So being able to reach out when you need to communicate about the plot/thread/etc is always a plus. But there will always be some that you are closer to than others. And that's totally okay.

58. How important is writing to you?

I've always been a writer of sorts. I wrote short stories about horses as a kid and poetry as an angsty teen and twenty-year-old. It is important to me because it helps me to get out of my creativity that is all up in my head. Even if it doesn't always come out the way I planned it.

her chambers are in a destroyed state. at first her blade, than fists creating havoc and damage throughout the room that burned with her rage. she doesn’t want to do this. can’t. has to. but ontari comes to her in here, trying to offer some words to ease the anger, trying to bring octavia down from the mountain of blood she stood upon. octavia knows who ontari refers to when she speaks. marcus. the closest person the dying girl inside of her had to a father figure. this moment is the last thing she needs on the eve of kane’s match in the pits. the last thing the leader wants to be doing because she can see this play. can see ontari trying to appeal to her softer side if only to taper her rage for a moment to keep herself from being hurt. would kane’s death matter to octavia anymore? of course it would. would it break the few remaining shards of the butterfly chaser to watch as the man she'd come to respect and love refuses to fight in the pits? love is weakness and that’s exactly what kane is to her. 

her head dipped finally, chest rapidly rising and falling with heavy breaths as hues cast down to her bare feet. jaw clenched. they all fight. her hues darkened then, slowly turning to ontari. is that the whole reason why she’d come to her tonight? octavia might not have the strength to force kane to face his consequences but blodreina sure could. hadn’t she done it already with abby’s suggestion? “ he’s not giving me a choice. ” her voice a low growl as if she hasn’t tried. hasn’t done what she could to make kane tell her the truth. it’s all she’s asking for. who really stole the medicine because only the guilty should fight. only wonkru’s enemies.

calculated steps take her to stand in front of ontari, hues narrowing on her face. that cold and hardened look returning to her features. “ give me another option. ” blodreina spoke except ontari couldn’t do that, could she? these were the laws in place. this is how they’d survived for the last six years.
