ugh how long do i have to sleep how many fluids must i consume how warm and cozy do i have to be to unsick the sick

#trying to speedrun the healing process any%#i don’t have much experience with actually trying to respond to my body’s needs normally i just suffer the whole time #i tried this revolutionary thing once last winter and it actually worked but i don’t remember how many days it was #this is only day two but i’m impatient #i just feel constantly feverish and my lungs are on fire it was very hard to walk my 15 min commute in the cold today #wearing a mask helped a bit but of course that just makes breathing harder #i’m too exhausted to even stand at the stove and cook but i’ll try #been taking naps and steaming my face in ramen/hot cocoa and drinking water #if that doesn’t do it idk what will . sucks that it’s monday #peach rambles

I think I'm slowly starting to understand that me being constantly exhausted is just because I'm finally safe and my body is no longer running on adrenaline and cortisol all the time. I've been fighting against the exhaustion for over a year but I haven't actually allowed myself to rest without feeling guilty.

#personal #I need to learn how to relax and do one thing at a time and to not put myself in so many stressful situations #I'm allowing myself to sleep in #to read more #to start my day with something enjoyable like a walk or a nice long breakfast instead of a stressful to do list #I'm setting boundaries around being available to work on my days off #I'm taking days off of work #I'm allowing myself to just sit and be and read and have a drink at a cafe somewhere #without it being something rushed #I just need to.. REST this year #I've done the self care bit like the meditation and the yoga and the walks but it's always been something #and I've only relaxed while feeling guilty and multi tasking #I just need to really and truly relax; in a way where it's not a to do list #my favorite restaurant is closed on mondays #but they're located at a big lawn with chairs and benches #and I went there after work to just read my book for 2 hours #in the shadow and the breeze on a hot day #and I felt sad depressed but it was actually really nice #making some dinner now (easy dinner) and watching a tv show

Ok just saw a pokemon hot takes video with some of the coldest takes imaginable, gonna give some actually hot takes to make up for it.

-The Lets Go games are great, they’re just not for long term pokemon fans.

-Gen 6 had the best selection of new pokemon introduced, Gen 2 had the worst

-On that note, Gen 2 starters are the worst starter trio, they all have very boring designs.

-The Delphox and Primarina lines have great designs

-Far too many Gen 5 pokemon have way too high level requirements, despite their awesome designs.

-Gen 5s story is only the best Pokemon story because the most of the other storys in pokemon are ether generic (Gen 1), underdeveloped (Gen 6), or just straight up bad (Gen 8). Outside of that context, Gen 5s story is just ok

-If Gen 7 cut back on the tutorials and cutscenes in the beginning, then it be one of the most highly regarded pokemon games

-Had USUM been true sequels to SM, like B2W2 was to BW, then Gen 7s story would be the best in the franchise by a mile

-Lycanroc is a missed opportunity of a pokemon. Dusk Lycanroc has no reason too exist.

-On paper, DLC is far superior then a third version. (In practice? Not so much, but I probably wouldn’t call that part a hot take)

And probably my hottest take:

-Nobody used the National Dex enough for there to be so much outrage at its removal.

So I moved yesterday and I've been so stressed that I've been crying on and off since my dad and his fiancée left.

#the combination of being completely on my own in an unfamiliar city 6+ hours away from everyone I know #and now suddenly having to figure out shit like wifi and bus routes and getting places without a car #and finding a part time job so I don't completely drain my savings #just has me completely overwhelmed #and on top of that it's going to be hot as hell here until friday #i'm going to take the next two days to be completely miserable and stay inside #and on monday I'll start going out and getting things done #at the very least Graham seems to be handling things well. he's been exploring and knows where his food/water/litter box are #and he's been following me around like a baby duck all morning but that's how he usually is #alisha babbles
