shoutout to chronically ill therians who can't do a lot of things that other critters can even though they're the same creature.

shoutout to fat therians who struggle to do quads.

shoutout to mute therians who can't bark, meow, whinny, growl, yip or make any other sound to do with who they are.

shoutout to deaf therians with theriotypes that are known for their amazing hearing.

shoutout to aquatic therians that can't swim, whether it be due to a fear, disability, or anything else.

shoutout to therians that don't quite know which animal they are yet, it's okay. you have all the time in the world.

shoutout to therians who don't have friends or a pack to rely on. you'll find your folks.

shoutout to therians who aren't white and feel isolated in the community because of that.

shoutout to therians who don't have the time or resources to fully be themselves yet.

shoutout therians who struggle to accept themselves as their type just because they're not a "popular" animal to see around.

shoutout to therians who are the complete opposite to that last part, no matter how common or uncommon your type is, it's still okay. you're still you and that is lovely.

shoutout to ALL therians. you are all important and wonderful, if you don't believe it then i sure do. i love you all.

Today I jokingly asked my mom if she identified as a horse (cause she loves horses) and she really just went

"... Well sometimes. Especially when I was a child. I also sometimes feel horse ears on my head."

guidelines for minors in the therian/otherkin community:

predators are everywhere, including within this subculture. block. report. tell an adult you trust if you feel unsafe.

p-shifters are individuals who claim they can physically transform into their kintype. they're lying. they want attention. power. control. block them and spread the word.

it's okay to change your kintype. we're just glad you're figuring yourself out. we don't think you're faking.

"kin" is a noun, not a verb. you are kin. you are not "kinning."

it's okay to have fun in this community. it's okay to take yourself seriously, too. if someone doesn't like your self-expression? block them.

don't feed the trolls. they want to suck you in. laugh at you. hurt you. don't take the bait and remember: the block button is your friend.

some people believe their identity to be spiritual. sometimes it's psychological. respect both.

if your identity is causing serious distress, to the point that it's affecting your daily life, seek professional help. and if you ever feel like hurting yourself, help is just a phone call away.

The line I used to make my Therianthropy necklace broke some time ago. I recently decided to remake it using some old beads I've had sitting in my craft junk for over a decade. And Uh...

The square beads spell out "Fuck you motherfuckers I am a horse. Neigh" Which is directed towards all the assholes who are hateful to therians because we're "cringe" or whatever. My friend tied it with a knot that can be tightened or loosened so I can choose whether or not I want to wear it as a choker. I doubt anyone will really be able to read it while I'm wearing it but I know what it says.

I wish everyone would see me as a horse just as much as I see myself as one.

You should be able to look at me and see my ears, my face, my legs, my hooves. They just see an "angry" blank stare and "weird" autistic walk.

"Why do you walk like that?"

"Why are you flaring your nostrils?"

"Why are you bobbing your head?"

When I say I'm an animal or a horse (which is seldom and only to my family), they just laugh awkwardly or go quiet.

I am very afraid of all of my friends finding out about my true self. Our existence as a community is not allowed to coexist with their perfect world.

If I had the right body, I could finally be acceptable.

My girlfriend said i should make a clydesdale moodboard. Clydesdales were originally bred as smaller draught horses but were later selectively bred to produce taller and taller horses for show. They were originally used as work horses, and later used for shows and parades as well.
