Hob loves to ramble about history and Dream loves to listen, as he always did at each and every one of their meetings, but as Hob starts going into another tangent about the mid 1800s - because the textbooks got it all wrong, as they often do - he stops mid-sentence at the feeling of Dream's head resting on his shoulder. Dream doesn't need sleep, not really, but Hob is one of the very few people who make him feel safe enough to let his guard down and just rest.

If he feels Hob's hand gently combing through his hair, well, he can't say he minds that much, not that he'd admit it to anyone. He just shifts a bit closer into Hob's side and lets himself be taken care of, feeling the tension in his shoulders slowly disappear as he breathes into Hob's scent and relaxes under his touch.

I'm thinking about (fat) characters who are relentlessly kind and nice in the face of the bullshit they've faced and continue to suffer through. Azirophale, Martin Blackwood, Jane Crocker (I'm sure there are others, fat or not, but funny how many of them are fat) who neglect and overcome their own bitterness constantly for the sake of others.

Betrayed by so much of the things they believed in, the people around them, the circumstances they're trapped in, and especially by themselves. So riddled with doubt and insecurity even at the best of times. Unable to trust their own thoughts and feelings, taking on the blame for others when they were never at fault. Trained to be "pleasant."

Until they snap and just have to be a fucking bitch for just a moment.

And yet that's when people tend to like them more, isn't it? One of the things Crowley loves about Azirophale is how bitter and bitchy he can really be. Jon seems to like Martin more when he tells him off, gets [redacted] arrested. Dirk is an appreciator of Jane's bossyness (leadership).

Bitter bitter people who try so hard to be kind to others while deeply struggling to extend that kindness to themselves. They don't understand that they're bitter, they don't accept it. It doesn't make any sense, they are so nice! And there's one of the deepest betrayals because they just can't face their own bitterness. The carrot they've been told to care for and cherish has been a stick all this time.

They did everything they were told was right. The first, and worst of all: don't trust yourself.

who’s one of your top moots that’s been there from the very start ??

firstly, i love all my moots and i could never label one as being my 'top' moot just because they were there from the beginning, every single on of them is very special to me. they're all such darlings, are wonderful friends and they motivate and inspire me to keep writing; i don't know where i'd be without them and im so lucky they gave me and my writing a chance (づ๑•ᴗ•๑)づ♡

however, if i had to pick out which moot was there from the beginning, it has to be my honey, my darling, Mal, better known as @astonishment / @aastonishment

Mal is actually the main reason i got into the marauders because she got me hooked on James Potter with her immaculate writing and amazing story telling skills! she was one of the main reasons i started writing for the marauders, actually ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡ which makes it all the more special that she was my first ever moot!

i was just wanting to create all my pages, including my library page of favourite fics alongside my hall of fame section for the writers that i adore and, of course, i had to put her up there! because of that post, she talked to me to say thanks and i've never fangirled so much! ugh! from then on she's supported me and cheered me on with my writing, she's such an angel, she's so full of love and i look up to her so so much!

i owe her a lot and because we're friends now, i, not only, hold a deep love for her writing but for her as a person as well!

that being said, please show her some love and appreciation, she deserves the world!

i want a baby so bad but also getting pregnant is my worst nightmare and i don't even wanna acknowledge that i have a uterus, so the logical answer is to adopt and i'm so down with that, but i'm poor and mentally unstable so that's not happening anytime soon, no one would ever let me adopt a child and quite frankly i know i don't have either the mental nor financial capacity to care for a child rn. but damn i want one so bad

⛩️: i saw this tiktok where it was basically saying that this person who reads unfinished fanfics, inserts the entire story into an ai writing app and asks it to finish it for them. — it was so disgusting to see because it feels so invasive, like desecrating your work. there were comments saying “but at least we care and like the story enough to ‘finish’ it! the author should probably feel honored we cared to go these lengths.” —— it was so yucky to read about.

i saw that as well and,,, it genuinely doesn't compute that people like that really exist in the world walking around breathing the same air. the type of person that does that is someone who truly believes they're the center of the fuckin universe and everything ever exists for their pleasure or consumption and it is baffling to me.

they don't understand that without the fanfic writers they spit on, the ai wouldn't even have any data to "finish" a fic. without the hours and hours of honing their craft from genuinely passionate people, and the dedication, and the possibility of burnout and personal/ health/ mental struggles of these writers they would have shit. nada. nothin. to build upon.

it genuinely makes me so angry that some people have the audacity and negative brain capacity to think that anyone would be happy to have their work made a mockery of for a self entitled brat like that. i hate people like that. i hate people like that
