I’ve seen some people say “Well, Ms. Bustier’s class has met a lot of famous people, even some of their classmates are celebrities, so the things that Lila said wouldn’t really seem like too much of a stretch.” and you know what? Fair enough.

When you take into account everything that these kids have seen and all of the celebrities that they’ve met, it’s not entirely unbelievable that Lila would’ve too.

However, even if you do get past the absurd idea that they would all believe every single thing she says. Even to the extent of believing her word over everyone else’s, including Marinette’s, who is arguably the most well meaning student in the entire class despite her own issues. That still leaves one problem:

If they really are just kind of used to it by now, to the point where they believe these things without question. Then why are they so enthralled by everything Lila says?

Yeah it’s still cool, but they’re all constantly surrounding her and hanging on to her every word as though the very concept of someone knowing this many famous people is just absolutely mind blowing to them.

Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter and I’m just getting upset over something that happened a long time ago. But I just wanted to get this off my chest.

This show is going to be the death of me.

Anyway, happy 4 year anniversary of Chameleon being released.

Cursed Idea: Au, where Lila "hates Marinette's guts" not because of her "challenging her lies", but because Marinette responds with "Oh, me too" (or something similar) to her every lie

HOnestly like.

Imagine an AU where Lila didn't lie about knowing Ladybug and doesn't seem to be gunning for Adrien.

So Mari falls for her lies just like everyone else, but keeps going 'oh same!' every time Lila mentions a celebrity she knows without batting an eye.

Lila is quite annoyed at first thinking Mari is trying to steal her thunder but nope the girl is just so nice? What the fuck? Sweet and kind and so energetic and adorable?

This culminates in like. Mari dragging Lila with her to visit Jagged and just. Lila terrified and fully realizing that when Mari said 'oh same!' she fucking meant it? And it gets to

Mari: "Oh hey! I bet you two want to have some one-on-one time to catch up! I'll go take Fang for a walk and let you talk!"

Jagged, after Mari leaves: "What did she mean 'catch up'?"

Lila, too shocked to lie: "I'm- fuck. I'm gonna level with you: Totally tried the 'new kid lies about having a fantastic life to get quick friends and attention' thing but apparently my fake life is her real life??? And now I'm trying to figure out how to get out of this. I don't even care about getting caught or not anymore I just don't want to see her all heartbroken about it she's like a hamster I can't- I don't want to see a sad hamster!!!"

Jagged: "....... You have a crush on her, don't you?"

Lila: *Screams into a pillow*

i hate marinette, here's why. (i don't hate her, i just don't like her.)

Reasons why i hate her:

Marinette’s behavior is just way too creepy and it’s NOT endearing when she sniffs his pillow or stalks him.

She’s become too boring and is annoyingly insecure about everything, and you’d think that after a lot of time around Adrien she’d get used to being around him but no because plot

Adrien would be a more interesting character but there’s almost no focus on him.

Chloe could be such a great character and I honestly thought she’d be developed and fleshed out into a complex, relatable teen, but now that the creator’s like “oh she’s just evil” then i don’t know why the heck they spent episodes “developing” her and making her Queen Bee. So many key moments and characteristics, like her abusive mother and idiot father, all down the drain.

Lila was a character added purely to add stupid drama and is basically unnecessary and annoying.

The whole romance is so convoluted and stupidly written. And I don’t see a point in bringing Luka and Kagami into the mix if Adrien and Marinette will obviously get together anyway by Season 10 or something.

At thiis point Marinette should get with Kagami and Adrien with Luka cause they clearly have more chemistry than Adriennete

The akuma thing is so old now and they’ve even recycled villains. They have no creativity anymore. I am SICK of freaking Reflecta (don’t know if i got that right) appearing all the time.

Chat Blanc. Enough said.

Some people say she is a Mary Sue. Yes she has the attributes like perfect family, OP abilities she has two powers not just one. Chat's night vision is never used, her Lucky Charm and Miraculous Ladybug is an episodic ability. She is the only one who can do anything about akumas and amoks. She learnt how to fence out of nowhere, like Kagami and Adrien struggled with it for years she now has this ability too. At kawmi swap she uses the Cat miraculous without any issues and Adrien doesn't know anything. She uses a bunch of kwamis in one go, with knowledge. She becomes the Guardian when she made a huge mistake. Etc. I could go on why is she considered a Mary Sue, but honestly I don't consider her one. Zoey Redbird is the real Mary Sue in my eyes.

She is portrayed as a stalker for giggles. This is where the writers ruined a fine character. Do you watch anime? The stalker girl turns out to be a yandere, makes the protagonist's life hell, kills off his parents, friends, girlfriend, even in some cases the protagonist too. Yanderes have shrines of the protagonist's stuff, break into his house, follow home. Marinette is not that far away to turn into a yandere trope only for laughs.

She admitted herself that she is a stalker. She stole four phones trough the series (Adrien's in Copycat, Chloé's, Alya's and Kagami's phone in Ikari Gozen, but at first she gave her phone to Marinette wilingly), she stole the photographer's harddrive, tricked Chloé a bunch of times out of jealousy and nearly ruined Kagami's chances with Adrien.

She broke into his room as Ladybug, sniffed his pillow. I hate how she acted as an obsessive stalker when she entered.

She followed Adrien and Lila in Onii-chan home, she was ready to climb the wall and even asked a fireman for his ladder.

How she wanted to ask out Adrien in Simpleman. She ditched four kids with his usually tense grandpa to repair Adrien's angel wings. Because she was so shy to ask him out to the movies in this episode and Adrien too rushed back to his photoshoot. To have a chance with him she was ready to just ruin the wings again with a fishing rod. Yeah the Guardian ladies and gentlemen.

It still creeps me out that she knows everything about Adrien but she barely can talk with him. I used to know a bunch of stuff about my ex boyfriend because he was the one who told me or with time I found out a lot about him as we dated, spent time together or I got to know his precious people. Marinette knows everything about Adrien without asking him (Gamer, Befana, Goridzilla and Kung Food where I remember they talking about stuff). She knows his favorite color, fruit, his schedule for the next 5 years (I bet even Adrien doesn't know what his father planned), she knows his life but doesn't know him as himself. Samd thing can be said about Ladynoir but they have to protect their identities and at least Chat tries to know his partner only for her to remind him that they can't know anything.

She made macaroons for him every weekend, she made him gifts for his 30 years of birthdays bunch of little weird stuff.

She kissed his “wax” statue worst episode ever, the moment I started to dislike her.

She is a hypocrite with the rules. Alya and Nino can know, Alya can know her identity, but Chat can't know anything, he can't tell his identity to Nino. Alya, Nino and Luka were revealed yet they can still be holders, no matter that she risks their lives and she could choose new ones. Still Kagami probably won't be Ryuko ever again, Chloé couldn't be Queen B in season 3.

Lukanette. New York special she was moving on from Adrien only for everyone and their mother pushed her into Adrien's arms. She was dating Luka, he was dating Kagami. Still we see in Truth too that even her boyfriend Luka knows that she is obsessed with Adrien yet he is dating her without any jealousy. Poor Luka you deserve better.Give this man a fucking break.

She as the Guardian. I don't like that the we are equals plot is out of the window. Now she “can make/create anything the universe is the limit", so she can make charms, summon miraculouses, save the day as a civilian not let Scarabella or Chat save the day once.

The writers could have done so much with this show and this is why I am so bitter that they waste pretty good characters for no reason. Just think about that Marinette has a good story arc in the first two seasons. She stood up to Chloé, finally acted on her feelings, broke down under the pressure of being the Guardian. Yet they had to throw in the stalker, obsessive nearly yandere trope for fun to ruin her. I wish at least one character would call her out for it and she would learn from it. I wish that in season four she really moved on with Luka so her obsession would end. But no we can't have development.

Still she is a fictional character, I hate how the writers write these characters.

Thoughts on the ending to s5 of MLB?

Sorry for the late reply, I literally just watched it and i went on a roller coaster of emotions. spoilers ahead for whoever else reads this

I was in tears when i saw that GABRIEL FUCKING AGRESTE HAD A DAMN STATUE AFTER WHAT HE DID, like what the actual fuck. he started off as a goofy bald-looking villain and turned out a whole terrorist. we forget, i guess, that they are teenagers. what he did is unforgivable. akumatizing innocent people, neglecting his son, (i feel for Natalie honestly, cause she deserves better) causing so much stress and probably trauma, stealing miraculous, spreading his terribleness throughout the world, existing.

i also don't know why marinette thought she could reason with him, and i literally howled in laughter when he paralyzed her with venom cause idk why she trusted him. i knew it would happen. he's crazy. you cannot reason with crazy.

I also haven't seen any of the show since season 3 i think, so whenever I saw luka was a guardian, i was happily surprised. i don't even know how that happened, so that's when i burst into my first set of tears. I love that man.

I am also a fan of gimmi just because of the name (also, why did bug noir's eyes look like kiwis?!) and honestly, these two episodes just changed my entire view on marinette. i know it was gabriel's "dying wish" for adrien not to know of his villainy, but that does not mean mari should have kept that wish. if my parental figure did that shit, i'd wanna know, and then if someone i loved pulled what she pulled, i'd be pissed! like wth?! HE DOES NOT DESERVE SHIT. HE'S LITERALLY TERRIBLE. ADRIEN HAS A RIGHT TO KNOW!!!

and then the way marinette knows. she knows everything about what went down, i know it, i know it, i know it. and she didn't fucking tell him, like what the actual fuck. what the fuck. (also, the way ladybug and chat noir still don't know each other's identities is hilarious to me) the truth about that will come out, and it will ruin their relationship. and the only person i'll feel bad for is adrien, and no one else, cause why would she keep that from him? he needs to know that. also, i don't know about that one girl who has the moth miraculous. she looks like a lila

and i'm not hating on how it ended with how their city is now, cause that's super cool, i love the eco rule, and the new school, and how bustier is the mayor, and the new reporter though i liked the old reporter. it was... good. i just don't like how marinette lied, and how gabriel was made to look like a hero though he was a literal fucking terrorist. thats all. and honestly, idk how i feel about adrienette anymore. or marinette anymore. it's just... idk

but there's my rant. i feel better letting all of this out.

*sigh* I was afraid someone would ask me that.

Ok, I will keep this as vague as humanly possible but...I have been in this fandom long enough and I knew so-called friends who hated Adrien for siding with Lila and still being friends with Chloe even if she is a bully.

That's fair...I didn't like that either but those same so-called friends did something similar with me where I got bullied and nothing was done about it and some of them felt they could have it both ways and be friends with me and friends with the person who traumatized/bullied me as well.

So yeah, massive hypocrisy and coming off as giving all that good advice to fictional characters but being incredibly seldom about taking it themselves. Treating fictional characters like flesh and blood human beings but treating myself like a fictional character.

The kicker, I found out in the worst way possible...And I wasn't flattered by it...I didn't feel like it was an act of goodwill I just felt betrayed the person who bullied me was being defended and coddled. And the fact that they felt I wasn't going to connect the dots, I question how dense they think I am and how they seemed to think I was born yesterday.

So yeah...This probably isn't going to make sense to you but it's my explanation...That I was bullied by the Luka////nette fandom and I am upset that some people who claimed to be friends with me let it happen and be friends with the same person who traumatized me...I don't think they are in position to call Adrien a terrible person for that and quite frankly I am done.

Yes, Adrien is a very overrated character but what can I say that hasn't already been said? And some salt posts are incredibly hostile and such and I am tired of people in the fandom complaining about negativity but making incredibly venomous salt posts.

Not to mention, I am stuck in the world of my fanfics where Adrien is a decent well rounded rich boy with his insecurities being happy in his relationship with Kagami and being good friends with Luka and Marinette, no need for negativity.

And I may have mentioned him more than once but my best friend is Bearfoottruck and he adores Adrien...He just feels Adrien needs to be with the right girl (which is Kagami.)

Honestly Bearfoottruck and I are basically Adrien and Marinette irl but in the sense we are both platonic soulmates...Plus Bearfoottruck has his own Kagami and they are the cutest couple ever.

Well, at least I end this off on a positive note.

And this isn't me being holier than thou by saying that salt leads to negativity...I wholeheartedly believe M*raculous does not deserve the popularity it has and should be ripped a new asshole even moreso than V*ltron....But I am not going to be a part of it anymore I live by my fanfictions.

What I think will happen to "Monarch's team" in ODNLB:

Adrien: gets freed and reunites with his friends and gets lots of hugs and kisses and the city declares the day he's freed (which is also the day Monarch's taken down, to be fair) to be a citywide holiday on par with Heroes Day, and Paris holds a parade annually celebrating Monarch and Volpina's defeat and Chat Noir's restoration.

Felix: Tough to say for him. I don't think he's going to prison, but I dunno whether he's being let off the hook, either. He's not fully a bad guy, but he's done some pretty awful things that have caused a lot of harm, and I'm not sure he's really learned his lesson. Right now the best I can think is that he'd be off on the sidelines, probably not implicated in the takedown itself, but not exactly welcomed by Paris or anyone except for Kagami and to a limited extent, Adrien. Hm. Though maybe Felix will have SOME legal repercussions, but of the "slap on the wrist" variety. Something with a pretty minor sentence, in exchange for cooperating in taking down Gabriel and Lila. I could see him being willing to do that, if it makes sure they aren't threats anymore.

Chloe: Paris finds out that she's been a secret agent, trying to protect Adrien, their precious Chat Noir, these last few years as best she could. She's officially welcomed onto the Miracuteam, with her and Vesperia sharing the Bee Miraculous, and becomes generally well-liked by Parisians.

Gabriel: He goes to prison for the rest of his life, and is honestly happier there than he's been these last six years. At least now Adrien's safe and Lila's no longer a threat. Nathalie is avenged. I don't think he'd even hold being sent to prison against Ladybug at this point, I'm getting the feeling he knows full well that he deserves it, even welcomes it.

Lila: I dunno, she's basically evil incarnate, send her to the shadow realm or something.

adrien: his ending has already been foreshadowed! if you've read what makes a monster and collateral damage, you probably have a sense how i'm going to handle him lol. and while i love the idea of him getting a big party welcome back 👀👀👀 i wonder what adrien would like the most?

felix: ooh so you're predicting his ending will be as lukewarm/ambiguous as he's been throughout the story. nice, i like it, it's very fitting for him especially given how he would only really care what adrien and kagami thought about him anyway. i have had his ending planned since the start too, although it hasn't been foreshadowed quite as heavily lol. or has it

chloe: 👀👀 your guesses 👀 they're quite good 👀 and you know she would love the adoration even if it's shared! her ending scene is actually one i've had a clear picture of for a while; i hope it sits well with you when it happens :D

gabriel: love this self-hating angle you're putting on him now, it's actually super accurate. at this point prison and punishment would be a relief compared to what he's been through. he knows he deserves it, and he knows he'll deserve what's coming.

lila: had her planned since the beginning as well! the shadow realm is too good for her. if we can send her to the lowest circle of hell that'd be cool though.

1. Chaotique x Mess

Yes, of course they are enemies, but there is a dynamic. Mess's constant pranks on Chaotique, or insane pranks trying to show how much better she is than Chaotique, thereby attracting her attention. This ship has a vibes of "Marinette x Lila" ship from MLB. And yes, I don't ship Chaotique x Mess, but I'll leave this here anyway.

2. Aki/Mega Man x Mess

Same situation as Chaotique x Mess. But since Mess hates Mega Man a little less than Chaotique, there is a dynamic too. But also, I don't ship them.

3. Mega Mini x Lou

Yea, male friendship. Their strong friendship is very sweet, but could there be any dynamics here? Why not, of course

4. Melissa x Rita (one of my favorites)

They have quite a lot of dynamics. Melissa, surprisingly, allows Rita to touch her when she won't let anyone else (not counting Bert, of course). Rita often infuriates Melissa, but Rita does not deliberately annoy Melissa, she does not even understand that she annoys her, and Melissa, although angry at all this, does not drive Rita away. Maybe they are good enough friends.

5. Bert x Rita

Redhair duo, yea. They also have enough dynamics, but they are more like just friends.

6. Claws Woman x Fog Man

As I said, Fog Man has warm feelings for Claws Woman, but he is not directly in love with her. He always supports her, and tries to calm her down when she starts to get mad.

7. Mega Mini x Rita (one of my favorites too)

Remember, I said that Rita's constant jokes over Mega Mini can be called a little flirting? Yes, I think their duo is very cute. Rita has an interest in Mega Mini.

8. Hypno Woman x Claws Woman

They were friends in the past, but their friendship ended abruptly when Claws Woman lost her daughter. Claws Woman suddenly began to despise everyone from that day, but even if she does not like Hypno Woman, Claws Woman somehow sometimes becomes sad when remembering her. Maybe they can still be friends...?

9. Mess x Lou

But the pairing is clear, the strong friendship between the prankster girl and robot spider ever since the day Mess saved Lou's life. But there is no z0×phillia here, don't you think! This ship is absolutely platonic!

10. Mess/Melissa x Triboulet/Bert (ofc also one of my favs)

It seems to me that among all that I have written, this ship has the most dynamics. Their sweet attitude towards each other is something. Although from the very beginning, they were enemies! That is, everything between them happened like this: at first they were enemies, then they became partners, and then they became good friends. They have a common enemy and similar goals, they make a good team. Honestly, although they are unlikely to ever be together, this pairing is one of my most favorites <3

Anyway, I'm thinking about how funny it is to me that I have so many things in common with Odette, but I don't kin her fsr. She lives in a BAKERY. HELLO. MY DREAM. She likes sugar cookies (not my favorite anymore, but used to be.) She likes BIRDS. She's literally a swan, and her "Kelly" counterpart is a gosling in her animal form. She hums while she works. She over-apologizes (when helping Lila and meeting the Fairy Queen). She thinks herself unimportant and believes the beings of the forest have her "mixed up with somebody else." She has a pink dress at one point. She is braver than she thinks, especially to take up the tasks given her and defy the forces threatening the forest.

The ONE thing that bugs me is the guy she meets like once (Daniel) is supposed to be her True Love. He just learns about her situation, dances with her, invites her to his party, then throws a hissy fit when she tells him she can't come. She could've at least explained why she can't come if she did want to go!! He watched her turn into a swan; surely she can explain that she would have to come at night if she can at all. She is trying to help the forest, Princey Boy, she has other priorties. ALSO her family. Tell her family she's ok for godssake. If she won't leave the forest to go see them and tell them she's ok, then she's definitely not gonna go to a ball just for fun!!! Bitch!!!

Sorry that was. A rant and a half. But mostly, I think I just hate the True Love after meeting once or twice (especially when I don't feel the chemistry) trope that much. Especially when the crystal's power is tied to it. Even Lila says it isn't fair, and I agreed with her ever since I was a kid. Why is this magic crystal like. "Um. If your so-called True Love pledges their love to someone else. No more magic for you. Also you'll be super drained of your physical strength. Night night, bitch."

I gotta rewatch the movie honestly, but. I'm Odette, just not necessarily everything that happens to her.

In all honesty, I don't hate Lila.

Yes, she's a liar, but honestly?? Do they actually even matter?? "Oh, I'm friends with Ladybug," or "Oh I've met this prince dude"

I mean?? I think Marinette took things too far, even if it's because she was jealous. Lila didn't start getting aggressive with her lies until Marinette started getting aggressive with her. They were all just a bunch of dumb lies that never really mattered. I think they both have issues, yeah, and I think they both got off the wrong foot and now it's turned into a big thing between them,,, but I don't think Lila was genuinely a bad person from the start. It wasn't until both Marinette and Ladybug pushed her that she fell off the edge.

Yeah, agree. Everyone got so mad at Adrien for pointing out that hurting people makes them want to hurt you back, but it's... true. And it's exactly what happened with Lila. Lila just wanted people to like her at her new school, Marinette made it her goal to get everyone to hate her instead, and Lila retaliated... and then doubled down... and then just... kept going.

Like, obviously Lila is more "in the wrong" than Marinette. Marinette just has strong values and doesn't want to see her friends being lied to, which is not a bad thing at all. But what Marinette did, even if it was "morally right", effectively did nothing but escalate the situation. (It probably would've been better to talk to her friends 1 on 1 and explain to them her concerns, but acknowledge that they wouldn't necessarily come to the same conclusion as her with less evidence. It would've neither irritated Lila nor just been completely passive in watching her friends get manipulated. But, yknow, hindsight)

It's good that Marinette isn't constantly trying to poke the bull anymore, too. It's not that she's giving up on her morals or anything, it's just that she realized that continuing to prod would lead her nowhere. The end of chameleon was why Lila didn't actually appear very often in Season 3. If Marinette hadn't followed Adrien's advice, then Lila and her conflict would've continued to grow and grow and grow. People act like Adrien's advice would hurt Marinette, when the opposite is true. If he hadn't given her that advice, she would've been hurt much. much. more.

Anyways, I'm just really sensitive about the Adrien and Marinette conversation lol. Everyone started calling Adrien, an abused boy with knowledge on surviving toxic situations, "spineless" for telling Marinette exactly the right advice to protect herself. I'm still mad about it. There's something so insidious about calling an abuse victim "spineless" because of the method they choose to survive (that they still actively employ themselves because theyre not out of the situation yet) but anyways,

I personally don't think Félix joining Gabriels side in "Strike Back" would be out of character at all, because for all it is Félix' motivation has always been rooted somewhat in survival the same way Adrien does.

Félix is well aware that he is a Sentihuman and Gabriel being ShadowMoth means that his uncle, who hates him guts just like Félix hates him, has all the power in his hands to just... snap him out of existence whenever he deems Félix misbehavior worthy of it. And unlike with Adrien I do think Gabriel WOULD take out Félix, Gabriel has no positive emotional attachment to Félix whatsoever apparently. And Félix thinks so too.

Félix thought that he stole the real butterfly and peacock miraculous from Gabriel in "Risk" and that he now wouldn't be able to 1) Acts as ShadowMoth anymore and most importantly for him 2) cannot use the peacock miraculous power anymore to fucking kill him.

But in "Strike Back" Félix is gonna learn pretty fast that his scheme to protect himself from Gabriel didn't work AT ALL and truth be told, Félix put himself in a more than messed up position through his impersonation of Adrien and everything he did as him and once again, no way that Félix isn't well aware of that.

Félix would be put under even more pressure to protect himself from Gabriel/ShadowMoth when you remember that near the end of "Risk" Adrien send Félix a message that he's coming home to confront his father himself and Félix just didn't stop him from that

Meaning that Félix should be acting on the assumption that ShadowMoth/Gabriel might already be aware of the impersonating stunt he pulled through Adrien himself, so the moment his identity as Adrien Agreste as the dog miraculous holder would get accidentally revealed (which I actually expect to happen. Félix outing himself as FÉLIX to Gabriel in the office only means exactly that, that Félix at least THINKS that Gabriel wasn't aware that he's Félix. Doesn't automatically mean at all that 'Adrien Agreste' wasn't publicly revealed though).

Now I could dive a bit further into how Félix could react accordingly by adjusting his protection mesures (meaning playing the role of 'Adrien') to how things will/could turn our depending on ShadowMoths/Gabriels reaction to possibly finding out that 'Adrien' is the dog miraculous holder (seriously, I NEED this to happen! It just makes too much sense!) but that isn't even necessary. My point should already be clear.

Félix, just like Adrien, has always also been motivated by his need of survival regarding Gabriels power over him; it just looks very different for both boys. And the simple fact that Félix' plan of not having been able to actually steal the real Peacock (and Butterfly) miraculous combined with the honestly poorly thought out impersonating plan he pulled with Adrien (seriously, as smart as Félix is his schemes are always ridiculously reckless and easy to have collapse into itself. As it then always consistently happens. This has been the case in "Félix", "Gabriel Agreste" and his plan in "Risk" definitely ain't better. He just always gets something out of it, but the horrendous mess and consequences Félix always leaves for himself behind still remain. The dude ain't a Lila and Lila doesn't have his insight knowledge or connections, these two would definitely be a dangerous pair of antagonists. They complete each other scarily well).

Him not getting the Miraculous' from Gabriel as he thought he did and the more than dangerous position he put himself in through impersonating Adrien and now being on the battle field (which was the ONE factor that saved his ass in "Gabriel Agreste", that he was in the position where Ladybug and ESPECIALLY Chat Noir were shielding him from the SentiCollector. And now this boy pissed Adrien off and puts himself on the battle field against Gabriel who has it out for him like the arrogant dumbass that he is! Good gracious, Félix!) would immediately simply put Félix back into his survival mode, which unfortunately always manifestes in Félix trying to regain control in ways that always makes shit worse for him! God, this shit runs in the family I swear! Like Uncle, like nephew.

I actually hate the idea of a reverse love square and don't think it can happen.

Like, can you imagine Adrien Simp(TM) Agreste falling OUT of love with Ladybug ?? He loves her SO much ! And we were even shown many times that he will never stop loving her, like he tried when he dated Kagami and when he thought he never had a chance with Ladybug, but he cannot help himself, he is in love.

And can you imagine Marinette Dupain-Cheng not loving Adrien anymore for no reason ? Like he never did anything that could make her stop loving him. He is smart, handsome, kind, and he is one of the rare people that believed her when Lila said she was a liar.

I honestly just think that Adrien will fall in love with Marinette (if he hasn't yet) and still love Ladybug and same for Marinette and Chat Noir.

They called it death by drowning, but it felt like I was burning alive. The ice-cold salt water felt like hot acid seeping into my lungs. As I got to grips with what was happening, I made the mistake of opening my eyes, only to see how far I was from the surface. I remember the feeling of simultaneous desperate energy, and absolute exhaustion. I knew Lila and Tamas were waiting for me on the shore. Waiting for what though? I knew they were probably looking for help but how was I expected to get out of this. They say you're meant to relax in moments like these, try not to panic, it will make it worse, try to float. At this moment however I had absolutely no idea whether I was fighting against it or just simply lying there, floating.

Lila, Tamas and I had spent our whole lives together, they were my closest friends and favourite people, but at this moment, for me, they ceased to exist. The memories faded, the image of their faces in my mind only blurred and became more warped. As I began to lose every sense I had become accustomed to, the only thing I could feel was dread.

"Yeesh, were you a writer?"

"W-what?" Morwyth blinked, snapping out of it

"Like a writer, motivational speaker, debate team? C'mon you had to be something like that."

"I eh, no not really. I liked reading, and would write some things down occasionally, but I was always too anxious and awkward to be good with words, things like that don't matter anymore though I guess."

Fabian rolled his eyes "Damn and here I was like "Oh yeah I was hit by a freight truck"

Everyone went quiet then.

"Oh c'mon! It was a joke!? I mean yikes I didn't expect the afterlife to stick me with such a tough crowd."

Amber, who was sitting off from the group, cuddled up with Max, shifted uncomfortably "not funny Fabi" She got up and stalked off. Max glared at Fabian before rushing after her.

"What did I do?" Fabian scoffed before following them.

"Did I do that?" Morwyth asked hesitantly

"No, you know what Fabian's like." Odette came over to sit beside her.

"Well you can't blame him, I guess we all have our own coping strat-" She laughed in spite of herself

"What?"

"I'm Sorry." Morwyth attempted through giggling "It's just...even after death we have coping strategies! How pathetic is the human race!"

They both fell in a heap of laughter, they were alone together now since everybody else had stormed off. They didn't get many moments like these. Odette sighed to try and get a handle on her laughter, she looked over at Morwyth, and gently laced her fingers with hers. As she leant her head on her shoulder, Morwyth stopped laughing as well.

It was then that Fabian came back.

"Honestly some people are so easily offended, I don't know what's up with those two, where's Trillian anyway? He might be all posh, privileged and pretentious, but at least he's gotta bit of humour"

"I don't know I saw him… Earlier." Odette hesitated, we don't really have the concept of time in this place so using words like Earlier feels almost nostalgic. Morwyth noticed the look on her face and squeezed her hand tighter.

We had all been dead for a month now. We wound up together in this glitch paradox world that was not Heaven nor Hell nor Nothingness because we had all been born, and had all died on the same day as each other. We didn't know whether this was what others' version of the afterlife was like, and there seemed no fathomable reason for it. It didn't seem to follow the rules of science nor spirituality. But no matter what the reason, we're stuck with each other.

They all hate me, I know they do. Not as much as they hate Fabian though so that's something.

It only took a few weeks for Max and Amber, and Odette and Morwyth to fall hopelessly over the top in love with each other respectively, which leaves Fabian and I the only remaining singletons. They've all joked about us getting together, to complete the trifecta, they know that's not going to happen though, because even though we bond over being unanimously hated, Fabian and I can't stand each other either.

There's six of us, we each died in different ways, in different places.

Morwyth Finch, Wales, quiet and bookish, less shy than she was when she was alive however, died by drowning

Odette Bramblestone, France, sunny and gentle, real life cartoon Princess with blue hair, went missing and died in a way even she can't remember.

Amber Swift, America, edgy and spoiled, life of the party, died of an overdose

Max Quinn, England, handsome and chill, underneath that persona he's a real loser though, motorbike accident.

Fabian Dumas, Greece, and he is a real dumas, except put a b and an extra s in there, don't even get me started, hit by a freight truck. Idiot was drunk and stumbled across the road without looking.

I spend my days observing them, trying to figure out our different perspectives. It's all there is to do, they don't notice me anyway.

Case in point?

"Trillian! I thought we were alone, No?" Odette yelps

"Nope" I grumble

This is a warning. I might be cursing throughout this post.

Honestly I hate people like that. They are just like the people who call Kagami "Cacagami". That is immature, insulting and it's such a d*ck move.

Yes, Marinette used to have stalker-like tendencies but seriously this girl changed. She isn't like that anymore. It's not as bad as it used to be anymore. Like she's literally trying to move on. And she isn't even a general stalker. Like seriously. She wasn't like that with Luka. Only with Adrien. And I know that doesn't make it better but seriously she is trying to change for the better. She's trying to move on. Don't call her that. Seriously just give her a break.

Ugh this is making me so mad right now. Seriously stop this. It's annoying. It's childish. It's mean. It's immature. It's insulting to every girl named Marinette or Kagami.

I can't help but to think people who write that are immature 10 year old imbeciles. (Not saying that all 10 year olds are like that.)

I wonder how they would feel like if someone did this to them. I bet it wouldn't feel good. Why are people like this and why do I keep finding people like that.

And not just Stalkernette and Cacagami. Lie-la is just as bad... Stop with this bullsh*t.

Might delete this later ... but I need to rant

I really love this show but it honestly feels like it's just... the shenanigans and angst keep escalating and there doesn't seem to be any hope of even smaller plot lines being tied up along the way...

Like sure, if there's one, two maybe even three major plot lines that's fine but give us small victories along the way? Give us a Chloe redemption arc, let Marinette get over her stutter, just give us something

No I don't count Alya finding out because it once again added more problems than it solved.

Maybe I shouldn't be comparing but once all the Adrien!sentimonster stuff (which honestly I thought was some crazy headcannon that i didn't hate just didn't think it would work with the show) started to show up in cannon... it gave me the strongest flash backs to teen me reading the Mazerunner and Divergent book series' and never finishing them because?? They just took such wild and sudden turns that it really put me off?

Don't get me wrong, if sent!Adrien is legit so be it but I feel like it could be worked in better... the weight of such a development looming on the horizon would be really interesting if we knew that Adrien knew he had a support team (ladybug/Marinette) who would understand and support Adrien through that.

Idk maybe I can't call it "bad writing", maybe its just personal preference. But my opinion is that a story should give and take.

Where's the identity reveal that makes Marinette realise that them dating in previous timelines is what resulted in catastrophe so they can know but not date... we get a bigger support for both of them, a closer team built on trust but it leads to mutual pining and constant emotional restraint.

Where's the result of all Chloe's set up for character development? She got on my nerves so bad but I saw the potential for a Zuko-style redemption arc and I was holding out for that (heck even let her claw her way to redemption only to plummet back down and become a villain in her own right) but instead it feels like the show forgot about her. (Even if there's a plan to combine all these loose threads in one fell swoop.. its gotten too much now. Start. Wrapping. Up. Arcs.)

The Lila stuff, the Guardian stuff, Alya knowing before Chat Noir, all the drama around Kagami and Luka, Chloe and Zoe, Felix??, Natalie's entire character, role and motivation in all this, the backstory around Emilie... so many things getting dangled in front of the audience, so much build up only to be yanked away and fade out of focus.

It's getting to a point where I don't know if or how the build up will be resolved in any nice meaningful way. I could see Adrien getting through his fathers identity reveal because he also found out Ladybug's identity but now his entire existence may hang in the balance plus he doesn't even feel like he can trust Ladybug anymore... its too much. I don't see how the characters can come back unscathed by all this... sure some scarring is expected but its getting to a point where it feels unrealistic that they'd be able to just bounce back from this.

The chance for a believable resolution to everything is getting smaller and smaller and I honestly.. it's making it harder to stay invested...

Thoughts and Reaction to Gang of Secrets!

I'm very late today at writing this because life ;-; You know it's a bigger episode when they start off with a problem. Ladybug doesn't want to detransform so she's desperate to find reasons to remain Ladybug. I love how the entire time, Chat Noir knows something's wrong and wants to get her to talk about what it is, but she just tries to pretend she's fine. If anything, Chat Noir would probably be the best person to talk to considering everything he's dealt with too both with Kagami and his responsibility as Chat! She could mention that she was seeing someone but they broke up because of her secret, and she could tell him how much being the Guardian's having an affect on her. All perfectly well and good without exposing any identities or things like that with questions for details asked. Instead she puts up a front with him and pretends she's okay in front of him and it's just so sad. :/ I understand why she doesn't, probably because she doesn't want him to know how much she's struggling. But ugh my heart hurts for her. Chat: I know where we can go where we won't have to talk! Ladybug: Yes, take me there Chat! *in the theater* Ladybug: You lead me into a trap. I MEAN HE'S NOT WRONG THOUGH! Not many places you can go where it's okay or encouraged to not talk without there being an awkward silence. But that cracked me UP. Also that casual attempt to wrap his arm around her lolol still hasn't give up, I see. I also find it simultaneously hilarious and extremely depressing that Ladybug's ranting like that in the theater because of a romance movie. When your heart is broken, that's probably the last thing you want to be doing. And Chat Noir yanking her down asking that she be quiet 😂 Literally just rants her entire love life out for everyone including Chat to hear in that theater. CHAT NOIR, YOU BETTER BE LISTENING BECAUSE SHE'S TALKING ABOUT ADRIEN HERE "She takes a long time to tell him and stutters and blah blah blah" lol sound familiar, sunshine? If anything please have him recall this later and be like, wait, didn't Ladybug say girls stutter around a guy when she likes him? BAM. Then he's off on his path towards Marinette. I can dream. Ladybug: And how do you know if he loves her? IMPOSSIBLE. Adrien: No, Marinette couldn't possibly be in love with me. *eyetwitch* But at the end of the day. This is Marinette ranting to Adrien about how she had to give up on Adrien and then couldn't make things work with Luka because of her secret. Ooof. And poor Chat having to apologize for everyone because Ladybug's disturbing them XDD THE GIRL SAVES EVERYBODY'S LIVES PRACTICALLY EVERY DAY AND THEY'RE PISSED SHE'S RUINING A MOVIE THEY CAN JUST REWATCH? 😂 She's clearly having a hard time right now, c'mon people! Chat can tell she has a broken heart. This boy is so sweet. He wants her to at least admit that and talk about it so she can feel better but you know, Ladybug's stubborn. I WANT TO GO SWIMMING LET'S GO SWIMMING CHAT, WOO HOOOOOO! Ladybug acting like Chat to hide her pain just like how Chat acts like Chat to hide his pain. YOU KNOW WHAT, IT'S FINE. :') It doesn't matter how much pain she's dealing with, those pictures mean too much to her to remove them. x3 Thanks Juleka for showing us how sad Luka is now, that's very helpful. Marinette's been going into the bathroom at school to cry, and then had planned stupid looking glasses to hide her tears so people wouldn't have to know she's cried because wearing a ridiculous pair of glasses that's embarrassing is better than being asked what's wrong. Because the pain I feel for her wasn't already enough. Ugh I adore Trixx. Trixx being the voice of reason when Tikki's not there, trying to help and letting her know that Tikki may need to rest too when she's so upset it doesn't cross her mind. And the tears in her eyes when she apologizes to Tikki for not thinking of her like she should. ;-; SO MUCH PAIN. OH DANG Alya was literally a second away from seeing a detransforming Marinette lol But she did say DETRANSFORMATION or well in the English dub it'll be "Spots

off" I love Rose, she's really sweet. and considerate But she also shouldn't be touching things in others rooms like that. I never liked it when my friends went around my room touching stuff. Also didn't help that a couple of them stole from me... but it's just not a cool thing to do. Would've probably ended up much better had she not had to desperately hide an exposed Miracle Box. But then we wouldn't have had what happens so it's all good c: Marinette saying she doesn't want to be friends with the girls anymore

It hit Alya deep. Everyone else is like *le gasp* but her eyes all shrunken like that, you can tell it really got to her hard.

This entire exchange right here. Alya's glance at her in the first picture is piercing, like I can feel that OOF feeling in my chest when I see it. The new music dramatizes it so well that a lot of people probably didn't pay attention to it the first time around. Can we just appreciate how these animators got all these emotions so right and did such a good job animating everything for us? And those that work on the music too? Everything's so spot on. Marinette's red-rimmed eyes is so well done. "No, it can't end like this!" Awww Alix getting super upset too x3 I honestly think Alix could be the next one.... you know what I mean BUT I'll wait until the end to talk about it. Trixx pulling a Plagg and rescuing Marinette! x3 I seriously love Trixx, I really do. I know the other Kwami's got mad, but if he hadn't done that it would've been disaster, probably. And the episode wouldn't have ended how it did! And Plagg knowing it was Trixx who caused the Eiffel Tower to be all weird xD Why do I get the feeling the relationship between Trixx and Plagg would be like that of Chat Noir and Rena Rouge? And I want to point out, we got 7 whole seconds of Adrien again! Aren't we lucky? The last time we got so little of Adrien in an episode was when we had his parallel episode Lies. I don't think that'll happen this time but I do hope it means more Adrien later on. Ladybug: They're after Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Chat Noir: Okay but remember everybody likes her (so don't go thinking she's a bad person for causing their akumatizations) Yes, I read between the lines. Ladybug being able to get through to Lady Wifi and have her deakumatize herself was absolutely amazing! I know Chloe was the first to fight off being akumatized but once you're akumatized it's obviously extremely hard to break. That says a lot about Alya. "Because you're an incredible friend, Ladybug." One, AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Two, did you notice the little jerk of her head, gesturing to Ladybug like that when she said it?? It's the little details guys that make this so good. 😍 "Chat Noir, nooooo!" Guys, we got our tiny little Marichat scene! It's not actually real, but still! (okay but why do I also get this really weird feeling like something like this may end up being real later?) Alya giving Ladybug that hug 😭 Marinette has such good, supportive friends. I love them all. x.x YES THANK YOU. Alya's finally realizing there are more things going on with her than just boys. One of the things that's always irked me since Chameleon is that any issue Marinette has, be it with Lila or otherwise, she always assumes it has to do with Adrien. Of course, at the time she didn't know she was Ladybug but she should've still listened and realized there's something else up. But now she finally is noticing and I love how she was going to respect her regardless and not push. Pushing has always been one of Alya's characteristics, but she knew whatever it was was something too big and serious to push her on. "Marinette, I'm your best friend, and I always will be." 😭😭😭 This episode brought me so close to tears so many times. Marinette admitting she's keeping secrets, lying to everyone. Admitting that that's why she draws a line between her and Adrien, and why her and Luka didn't work out. Alya saying however heavy it is, they'll carry it together (MY HEART) And then Marinette saying "If I tell you, things between us will never be the same. It's going to destroy everything, change it all." It sounds like this girl is thinking about Chat Blanc and oop there's the sound of my heart breaking again. So much paaaain. "Je suis Ladybug." YESSSSSSS Why they had to leave it off on a cliffhanger But YESSSSSSS First, the expressions she had flash on her face, the gasp 😮, then the expression like she's trying to get her mind to process. Then if you notice, Marinette gives a little nod, as if letting her know that it's true. Then the way her eyebrows furrow and pulls her into the hug as she understands all that she has on her shoulders as that music plays. I'm getting

emotional just writing this. 😭 This episode is just so amazingly good in so many ways, I don't think I can actually cover it all. I'm very impressed. I've loved nearly every episode this show has put out, even those that a lot of people seem to hate. But this one, I don't see how this could actually be hated if you're trying to think of everything that happened from Marinette's point of view, her thoughts, feelings, struggles, depression. I will say, personally I hoped Chat Noir would learn who Ladybug is first. He's been such a good partner, very thoughtful, always putting his life on the line. He's also been dealing with a lot of the same struggles. I felt like he deserved to know first. However, this isn't about who deserves what, it's about what Marinette needs. It's not that she doesn't want to tell him who she is! Don't misunderstand. There are many times throughout the past 3 seasons where she wants to or regrets not being able to. But now, Chat Blanc's in her mind. She knows what could happen if she tells him with Hawk Moth still there, so she can't do it. So instead, she tries to pretend in front of him that she's fine even though talking to him about everything would help and fix so much. In her mind, that's not an option. I just hope that when he finds out she told someone else first, he doesn't think that she doesn't trust him enough to tell him. Next I thought maybe Alix. That way it'd be more understandable to Chat that she'd know, after all future Bunnyx clearly knows and said to Ladybug that she chose her because she's capable of keeping secrets (notice how Alya said that to Ladybug in the alley? I bet Alix will find out in the near future. Maybe not this season, but she'll find out.) But that's for another time. But now Alya knows! Her best friend, the one to have her back and will no doubt have it even more so now! Watch out, Lila. Alya doesn't hold back so I can imagine how vicious she could be to her (and I can't wait). And that brings up a very interesting thought. Alya will realize Adrien has been the only one to have her back in Lila situations. Why would he do that, hmm? When everyone else was so sure Lila's an angel and Marinette must be bad for saying anything negative about her. Journalist Alya, incoming! There's also the matters of Alya bringing up Marinette's feelings for Chat Noir because duh, everybody can see how much she loves him! There are even photos of them kissing, one of which happened in front of Alya's own eyes! Though affected by an akuma, they all know that kiss didn't happen because of it. And of course, Alya has brought up twice in the show so far that Adrien and Chat Noir could be the same person. And last time Alya said that neither of them could be Ladybug and Chat Noir. Except, she's now found out that Marinette is Ladybug. So maybe Adrien could after all be Chat Noir. I look forward to seeing how their new dynamic is. I wonder how this affects their relationship with the other girls. And I'm most curious about how Nino and Adrien may react to this change. I thought during Truth and Lies both that their best friends were going to find out about their breakups. Gang of Secrets was Alya finding out. Even though I feel like another parallel episode is just wishful thinking, I can't help but think it may be a possibility. Nino and the boys are going to wonder what's up with Adrien too. They're going to wonder why he's not with Kagami anymore so suddenly. So what if i the end, Chat Noir ends up telling Nino? I could see it, if this takes place shortly after Gang of Secrets, where she tells Chat that she's confided her identity in a very close friend and somehow they agree that he can tell someone too that he trusts to make it fair. It'd be an amazing way to exercise Ladybug's trust in Chat Noir too. Then we'd have both Alya and Nino in on it, keeping their best friend's secrets for them without knowing about the other one. Oh that'd be so beautiful! And also let them keep their Miraculouses too after the charms are given to them and Alya has the ability to break

free after being akumatized. I adore Rena and Carapace so much I'd be ecstatic if they kept them. 😭 Anyway, so much potential can come out of this episode and I honestly cannot wait until episode 4!!
