Day 48
Drilled some holes into the container and ran some elastic cord through to hold my BT in place.
Tomorrow I play my first 1000 pt game and I'm getting anxiety migraines thinking about it because it will be the first time I a while I get to see firends in a public setting.
Also, put bright yellow in the center of the lens, sealed it, then put a gloss finish on lenses and the gem.

Day 1278: Gonna try move onto batch painting these a few at a time at a similar standard to the last one. Blue basecoat done apart from a few spots that are patchy. Gonna avoid the mistakes of the last one and do the red next then start highlighting or shading. Might try drybrush the next batch first

Continued on with some oil washes. I’ve only just started experimenting with them. After some false starts and failures, I think less is more with oils. When they are quite diluted they give a great, subtle effect.
Got some mini painting in too, today. Finished off the white undershirt.
He’s going to be a Youngblood in my Reiklander warband.
I decided to make my Youngbloods a banner bearer and musician. This won’t have any effect in-game, but will make them stand out on the table.
Plus, they’ll fit in nicely should I want to expand my force for something like Saga: Age of Magic.

Day 4: trials
Calling it done on the librarian. I may have flown too close to the sun with the psychic runes. Im not a big fan of how it came out. Maybe another day I'll try again on it.
I also got a hold of some square bases. These were bought to convert my aos orruk army into an old world orcs and goblins army. I've got my work cut out for me. These gutrippaz do not like to rank up.

I feel like every nurgle model goes from this distinct phase where it's "oh God this model is too clean it'll never look good" > two thick coats of shader > "oh. Neat.".
Working on this bad boys swampy base tomorrow if my resin cooperates.
Also going to tentatively call this hobby streak day 2 because I think I actually have the brain power to get back on the daily upload schedule

Got these guys finished up a little while ago but couldn’t find time to get the snapped, so here they are!
How come the pics I take with them in my grubby fingers always come out better quality than when I try and crack out the photo booth?
Anyway, here’s the Knights Reclaimant, a warband all clad in Terminator (and Dreadnought) armour, on near-suicidal quests to reclaim lost Terminator armour from the most dangerous of resting places so the Emperor’s protection can enter service once more.
These minis are all from the Space Marine Heroes line, and a few of them were later reused in one of the smaller board game boxes GW made.

Day 1268: Rippers put together, got shipped the wrong base so had to clip the pegs off and glue them in place. Might do the goop bases I did for some of my other tyranids, or else will just prime and get painting

Continued on with the Forgotten Tower project. Dry brushed the base.
Experimented with using tile grout for weathering. Very happy with the result, looks suitably grungy and easy to work with.
Also finally finished another Hirst Arts project, the Warlock House. Final varnish coat and added some dead grass. Ready for the table now!!
