I am LIVID for all the puppy pack enthusiasts (me and the girlies who know what’s really up).
You go to all this effort of having Liam be there in the place where the nogitsune has been theoretically kept, with a Kira stand in (Arden Cho I’m so sorry, Amy Workman ily but they screwed you over), making him kind of important to the main premise, only to side line him STRAIGHT AWAY.
And not to mention the fact that Mason, his best friend since childhood BEST FRIEND, didn’t even interact with him ONCE. The best we get is them saying lines after each other but they don’t even look at each other at that point?? At this point we assume they haven’t seen each other in who knows how long and are currently in a dangerous situation together and they don’t even show worry for each other? They don’t even hug when it’s all over?
Also Mason’s a deputy now??? nope, not the Mason I know. You could’ve at least made him something more fitting, like a teacher or something?
Also of course the main transgressions of no Theo or Corey, or even mention of them at all.
The funniest thing would've been if during the movie Theo was actually on a work trip or just hanging out with his friends in France (with Isaac, maybe) and Liam just didn't tell him what's going on, because he deserves a break once in a while.
Theo, calling Liam from the café they went with Isaac to, while Isaac flirts with a barista or something: hey
Liam, hiding behind the car in the middle of the fight: hi! how's your day going?
Theo: Isaac won't stop whining about how boring the museums are
Theo: he still goes, though
Liam: you have any pictures?
Theo: you bet I do
Theo: the paintings were cool, but I would've liked to know what they mean before I saw them for the first time
Theo: I wish you were here
Liam: aww, you miss me?
Theo: of course I do
Liam: me too
There's an explosion.
Theo:
Theo: Liam, what was that?
Liam: what was what?
Theo: the sound of something exploding?
Liam: oh, that
Liam: I'm watching a movie
Theo: shouldn't you be in the middle of your shift at the shop?
Liam, watching Hikari running towards the enemy: nah, it's all good
Liam: I took a break, Hikari got me covered
Theo: you feeling well?
Liam: yes, why?
Theo: nothing, it's just…
Isaac: hey, Liam!
Liam: bonjour!
Isaac: now, that sounds good enough
Isaac: did you practice your French?
Liam: on occasion, yeah
Liam: in case you ditch Theo somewhere and I need to help him out
Isaac: I would never
Theo, in the distance: give me that back
Theo: so, we were talking…
Liam: I'm doing just fine, don't worry
Liam: miss you ages, though
Theo: ah, pup, that makes me wanna buy an early ticket-
Liam: NO! don't do that!
Theo: what?
Theo: I wasn't planning to, but
Liam: good. don't.
Theo: you act… weird
Another explosion.
Theo: what are you hiding?
Liam: nothing!
Liam: I have to go
Theo: Liam…
Liam: love you, bye!
He hangs up.
Theo:
Isaac: what's wrong?
Theo: I'm not sure...
A second later he gets text from Liam:
Liam, 17:23
shops on fire
Theo, 17:23
Shop's on what now??
Liam???
Theo, 17:27
If you don't answer right now, I'm driving to the airport
Hikari: Liam, do you think it's stupid of us to put the urn holding the Dark Kitsune 20ft from the door on a shelf in our restaurant?
Liam: now that you say it that is stupid. Let's move it to somewhere more secure. We have plenty of rich friends who also wouldn't want the Nogitsune getting out again. I bet they could construct a vault with like puzzles, security, alarms and maybe magic to tell us if someone was trying to take the triskelion urn.
Remember when in season five, Kira asks Scott to look at her with his other eyes and he sees the fox aura points to Kira's sword, hidden under clothes?
I really would like to see more of than.
Like, the aura is an emanation of the fox inside her, so while it cannot be separated from her, it totally has a mind of its own. And if it can point things out, it can do more.
Picture this: aura helping Kira focusing on test by blocking the view of the other students (they are all scribling and writting, and it's stressing her out because she has troubles reading and thus understanding what the assignment is for that test), aura crackling menacingly around Kira totally unprompted because some girls are mocking her nerdy legging behind her, aura making itself visible briefly on the field barring its teeth at an opponent or the goalie to help Kira score and win the game!
(Also aura rolling its eyes when Scott and Kira smooch would be delightful. Kira knows aura is rolling its eyes, she can sense it. But she rolls with it, kissing Scott is more important. And Scott is so not expecting or ready to see an unimpressed fox aura looking at them when he opens his eyes after kissing his girlfriend.)
Consider this as well: auras interacting with each other. I just want to see how Kira's and Noshiko's auras would interact, but also I would love to see Kira's aura interactions with Hikari's.
Derek: Well if you’re both staying, remember the rules. Eli, no playing ball in the apartment, no fighting, and no answering the phone with "City Morgue."
Eli:...
Hikari: Mr. Hale, can’t I have some rules?
Derek: No chewing tobacco.
“Oh please,” There’s more movement on Liam’s end. Theo hears a far-away voice, muffled and almost inaudible through the speaker. “Half the pack’s like in love with you now.”
“That include you?”
“Shut up.”
(or, alternatively: the five times Theo hears about Hikari)
Thinking about Liam and Hikari getting married. Naturally, Mason is the best man. And naturally Mason is very nervous about his duties, re: the ring because it’s also some kind of mystical kitsune artifact. Which clearly means Mason must research everything about it. He’s late to the rehearsal dinner. Lydia (naturally the organizer of all pack events) goes to retrieve him and naturally they end up hip deep in the lore books that Mason has found.
Liam finds them arguing over something or other, and Noshiko “stumbles” upon all of them right when Mason thinks they might be onto something.
Noshiko uses the expedient method of closing and taking away the books before human reflexes can catch up (she’s gotten the hang of this from decades with Ken) and ushers everyone to the wedding.
Kira is Hikari’s maid of honor, of course. (In my world, she and Scott and Allison end up together here.)
The rehearsal goes smoothly enough after everyone gets gathered. Eli thinks he’s far too old to be the ring bearer but Aunt Malia’s enthusiasm about being the flower girl is impossible to ignore.
Hikari and Liam look happy.
Mason and Corey both cry and it’s not even the wedding.
Noshiko (after decades with Ken) knows the kids have probably not forgotten about their research, but she should have time to redirect their interests now.
