i lauve her, i lauve every character (except lucas) they r all my beloveds

BUT, that doesnt mean i think they r all perfect characters that have never done wrong

i know there a lot of argument about mia being a good wife or not and please do not take this the wrong way

she defiently loved ethan, A LOT too, she loved and cared about her family a lot

her problem is the job she decided to have in the first place

she decided to work for a criminal organization, it doesnt matter what part she played the important thing is she is literally willingly participating in working for the connections whether it be research or “handling” evie

she also lies to ethan, like alot

its pretty sad but we know she doesnt do it with malicious intent

shes doing it because she loved him and wanted to keep him safe but no matter what her intentions were it still got him killed

she also does not learn from it and CONTINUES to lie to ethan after re7 which leads to him dying two more times

mia obviously cares about ethan, and id never say she didnt love him but she defiently did treat things very poorly

u COULD blame ethan for going to search for his wife in the first place but like what kind of argument is that

ethan is a good husband who loved his wife so much he kept searching for her even after 3 whole years of no leads

the only thing ethan did wrong in their relationship was trust mia and he should have been able to do that without consequences in the first place

mia does not want to talk about what is happening to ethan. she keeps him in the dark and “blows up at him” when he even mentions it

im 100% without a doubt sure that they love each other so much and probably had a wonderful relationship pre re7, but after everything that happens and with the continued lack of communication, i feel like mia was just not that great

not to say that she was a horrible woman who did nothing but cause problems for ethan because he obviously still has wonderful memories with her after re7

but in the end, my opinion is that mia isnt some damsel in distress that was only a victim

she lived through the consequences of her own actions, she decided to work with the connections, she decided to contribute to the creation and abuse of eveline

re7 and re8 mainly stem from what mia has done and leaves ethan behind trying to fix it and it literally kills him in the process

im really sad we couldnt learn more about her and the chance of us learning anything in the future is really slim so its disappointing

thats my take on mia! i hope this does not upset anyone (i am very sorry if it does)

i love to make art of them being lovey dovey but i can only ever imagine it taking place before re7, im sorry!

Re8 spoilers (kinda) character talk

these arent REALLY spoilers. they dont give away any story, its mostly just some fleshing out of the characters and some quirky things i noticed about notes and gameplay

ill put it under a read more just incase

Heisenberg is funny as fuck he had me snort laughing at least 5 times in like 2 minutes of screen time.

Karl seems to be the youngest of the lords. Alcina refers to him as a child twice.

He tips his hat as thanks which is just cute af.

Karl also seems to have some anger issues, i believe his powers are tied to his emotions or are at least compounded by them.

He seems to be on good terms with Donna as he refers to her by name whereas he calls sal "moreau"

He doesnt seem to respect titles, he refers to Mother Miranda as just "miranda" right in front of her. he also only calls Ethan, ethan rather than Mr Winters.

the daughters have weight to them despite being files. you can hear their boots on tile as they land and reform. this could be useful for tracking them while you play.

im not sure which girl it is, possibly cassandra, but she seems to suffer from physical ticks. She moves constantly, twitchy hands and shifting facial expressions while standing beside Alcina. i just thought that was intresting.

At the start of the castle section, the daughters are flirtatious and a little sexual towards ethan.Daniela seems to mimic Alcina in her movements, doing twists and making sure ethan is watching. Bela does a little childish wave and cassandra has a deep sniff of ethans blood followed the little tissue wave which again is cute as shit.

Alcina seems to have some alcoholic tendencies. she has wine or some sort of drink in her hand in quite a few of her cutscenes. not to mention her diary entry which explicitly says "i need a drink"

the floor sounds in this game are fuckin sending me. you know that scene in the shining where danny torrence is riding his big trike over different floors? that's what this reminded me of .

i feel like i have to tell people that the girls are invincible until exposed to their weakness. don't bother fighting them. if you need space, a shotgun blast when they solidify will buy you time.

their voices and personalities change when you make them vulnerable . its sort of cool but also sad?

Bela def takes after her mother the most. she uses some of alcinas lines on occasion including the "stupid man thing." line

all of the daughters SEEM to have different ways of moving while in fly mode. their ai is mostly the same but i noticed Bela moves directly while Daniela moves like a jelly fish, sort of in pulses and waves. Couldnt find solid pics of cas moving to see how she goes.

without wanting to spoil, i think one of the puzzles in the castle is actually statues of the lords past or at least how the current lords used to be. (also soft confirmation of alcina being queer coded)

(also also very soft confirmation that karl has a soft spot for donna.)

alcina has BIG mommy issues. and not just because she is a big mommy.

i am 1000% certain George trevor helped design this castle but i cant see any confirmation of that. trust me when you play it yourself, you'll know exactly what i fuckin mean.

Even alcina pronounces her last name different and yes thAT IS AS ANNOYING AS IT SOUNDS.

the video i was watching went to private again so im gunna keep looking to find more vids and info.

The ones that suffer the most

I wanted to talk about this for a long time.

I’m a Resident evil addicted, I finished almost every RE game released and I must say that Capcom made some poor choices regarding Jill and Chris, they are EASILY the most mistreated characters in RE Franchise.

But let’s explain why is that:

Jill and Chris are survivors, they had to survive in a mansion with a lot of puzzles and zombies, while looking for items that could help them to progress and find a way to reach Brad.

When they arrive at STARS Office, they are revolted that Umbrella did all that under their noses and innocents were dying because of that and they explained EVERYTHING in a report - but Irons made that go away.

In the ORIGINAL RE3 we had this special file (Jill’s Diary)

August 7th Two weeks have passed since that day. My wounds have been healed, but I just can't forget it. For most people, it's history now. But for me, whenever I close my eyes, it all comes back clearly. Zombies eating people's flesh and the screams of my teammates dying. No, the wounds in my heart are not healed yet...

August 13th Chris has been causing a lot of trouble recently. What's with him? He seldom talks to the other police members and is constantly irritated. The other day, he punched Elran of the Boy's Crime department just for accidentally splashing Chris's face with coffee. I immediately stopped Chris, but when he saw me he just gave me a wink and walked away. I wonder what happened to him...

August 15th Midnight. Chris, who has been on a leave of absence for a "vacation," called me so I visited his apartment. As soon as I walked into his room, he showed me a couple of pieces of paper. They were part of a virus research report entitled as simply as "G". Then Chris told me that, "The nightmare still continues." He went on to say that, "It's not over yet." Ever since that day, he has been fighting all by himself without rest, without even telling me.

August 24th Chris left the town today to go to Europe. Barry told me that he would send his family to Canada and then he would follow Chris. I decided to remain in Raccoon City for a while because I know that the research facility in this city will be very important to this entire case. In a month or so, I'll be joining with them somewhere in Europe. That's when my real battle begins...

For some weird reason this file isn’t available in RE3 Remake.

But ok, here we see that Chris was doing some investigation - in the RE2RMK you could see this letter that Chris left in a way that normal people wouldn't understand - the only thing that Claire says is that “doesnt look like him” but how normies would understand what Chris is like is he is not well represented in media ??????????????????

And Jill had all the detective work in her wall.

So far so good - we understand the basics about them - they are Special police force, the elite, they had a traumatic experience and they survived to tell the story.

Some problems until now:

Jill had a MAJOR personality change in RE3 RMK- I honestly like most of that, she is a badass in the originals and she is a badass in the rmk but I still dislike the fact that she swears all the time (specially because in RE1, RE Rev, RE5 she doesn't do that)

We can tell a lot about her personality just looking at her room, but I still miss some stuff (I had expectations - so this is not a real problem. but still) like a Vinyl player (since she is probably into classical music), some letters from her father so new players can understand her origin and why is she so good in lockpicking and more about her dog (she had a pic in the original that could’ve been her boyfriend but it was replaced by a dog in RE2 rmk but in RE3 Rmk there in no dog)

Okay - after you finish the game the only thing we see is this:

In my opinion this is Chris since he is always associated with Green colors while Jill is associated with blue.

So my speculation here is that she found him while in the original we had this:

This is not a major chance but still is important (lore of course - duh) but the problem here is that while Jill is looking for him - Code Veronica is happening.

So I can only assume two things, they did not show him because they DON’T HAVE A FACE FOR HIM or I am wrong and that is Jill, but if that is Jill so why there is no decent epilogue like the original ?

Okay, now we are arriving in the real trouble area

I will do RE5 first and the Wii and Rev1 (even tho those two comes first in the lore)

RESIDENT EVIL 5

So before the game was release we had some propaganda, including this:

So have in mind that Jill was dead, I thought that she died and RE5 would explain that shit.

But in the beginning we see that Chris is looking for her and have in mind that Chris HAD A MAJOR CHANCE IN HIS APPEARANCE, and I’m not talking about his muscles.

I will not address Chris in CV since he was good in that game but I the team that made CV also made the original, it had CONSISTENCE.

Here we have Chris, he’s THE classical american soldier protagonist from Hollywood in the 80′s/90′s and he had some omage to TOPGUN

He also shares some traits with his sister

A major trait here is that HE HAS BLUE EYES, typical good looking soldier from US.

and now let’s have a look at Chris in RE5...

Yeah... I still hate this face even tho I love his Character in this game, this ugly a** monkey looking mf and he had a lot of steroids

So we have some lore to him in RE5, Jill and Chris went to a mansion looking for Spencer (one of the fathers of Umbrella and the one that was behind project Wesker, he wanted to do this Virus so he could live forever, so RE has a good lore, it’s not just about zombies) but when they found him, he was dead and Wesker was by his side, in a fight Jill sacrificed herself to save Chris’s life.

Chris started doing mission after mission because her body was never found, and he made a name for himself, he became a ‘legend’ inside BSAA and you can see that in the beginning of RE5.

The reason behind the muscles was probably to fight Wesker mano to mano but still is not well made, it really felt weird playing for the first time.

So now we have a problem here, there is thing that you use in a narrative that is to make someone strong af powerless, and they did that to Jill. (a good example of this is in TWD- Ricky is a fucking legend and Negan made him powerless in the face of a event)

Jill was used in a Boss fight and that is it... She is not in the game as a character, she is being manipulated and her whole design was changed, she looks like Nina from Tekken. WTF. - BTW, the fact that Wesker had mind control over her created 1000 fics of sex

So that is it, my main problem here isnt Jill itself, but it’s the fact that they used her character as a boss even tho she is the heroine, she never appears in RE lore again until some guy inside Capcom said “Well people are asking about Jill so let’s place a file in Rev2 saying that she is in rehab”

The only time that she appears again is in a 3DS NINTENDO ONLY game, it felt that Capcom simply don’t care about her character.

By the way Revelations 1 is a great game and was adaptable some years later for PC and consoles

But you think that this is bad, wait until we arrive at RESIDENT EVIL 6

When I learned that Jill was not in RE6 I was mad... But after I played that game I said “thank you God” that game was bad, transformers kind of bad, it had bad writing, the lore was all over the place and Chris was the one that suffered the most in this game.

He was responsible for the death of an entire squad, suffered amnesia and people still wanted him in the command

THEY MADE HIM AN ALCOHOLIC

The golden boy of BSAA reduced to THIS.

By the way, the director said that HE WANTED TO KILL CHRIS IN THIS GAME to SUBVERT EXPECTATIONS - so if you liked Piers now that he died only because of that.

So now let’s analyse what we know:

The first 2 main characters are not well represented in media until RE6, they don’t know how to re introduce Jill in the games and Chris was reduced to a normal guy at a Russian bar;

But it gets worse...

Capcom LOVE Leon, we know that. he is always the hero, he is the protagonist in almost every movie and he is always the cool guy so when he get’s a new model, he looks like this:

But When Chris get’s a new face he look like this:

WHO DAFUQ ARE U, no offense to the model but he has NEGATIVE JAW LINE.

And still he doesn't look like Claire’s brother, there is no blue/green eyes and he looks younger that he was in 6 (and 6 still uses that ugly character model)

But let’s go in the lore- we HAVE 0 info on Jill in RE6 / RE7 and no sight of her in RE8

And speaking of which, they tried to make Chris the bad guy in the trailer so when we play we see “Ohhhh he was not the bad guy, that happened and that is why he did that”

But still...

If they are going to do that to his character don’t use this character, shit ! Do something with that Wesker’s son that made 0 sense in RE6 but leave Chris out of this - it really feels that they simply don’t know how to treat him right

And you may think that I may be complaining a lot because of his appearance

But this is him in RE8

(to me this is some random dude from Russia)

And this is him in RE:Verse (that is going to be release TOGETHER)

So this tells me that they have 0 clue of how to handle his looks

Jill got RE3Rmk but it felt like a cheap game compared to RE2Rmk where the original RE3 was SO MUCH BETTER

And this is bad because there are so many new fans joining the fandom only to see 2 great characters suffering from poor director’s choices.

I’m sorry about this rant, if you like Chris face and looks its okay, really, but dont tell me that Chris from 5/6/8 is the same from 1/CV and if you think im wrong about Jill its fine, but she is an amazing character that could have so much more impact in RE universe (I mean, she never even appeared in a RE movie - animations)

But it’s sad to see so many characters that receive good representation in media and good games/lore while Jill get’s almost none and Chris is handled like random face guy.

I was going to talk a little bit more about Rev 1 and RE Umbrella Chronicles but there is no need since Im mad right now and it seems that Capcom has 0 interest in making Code Veronica and Umbrella’s fall after that since their fav boy Leon need a rmk in RE4 even tho RE4 is not that old.

Fun fact: Chris served in the Air force, so yeah, to me even Tom Cruise looks more like Chris than Chris from the games

Don’t think about the sad! Think about Ethan must be kind of beefy shouldn’t he? I just watched him flip that that on Chris’s team to the ground and oh man 🤤 strong

I’m happy to be horny on main for Ethan Winters any day of the week 😆

So that’s one of the things that I love about Ethan. He looks pretty lanky and he’s not as tall as others. He doesn’t exude that he’s strong physically, but once he takes off those three layers he’s wearing you can see his arms. And I bet my last dollar Ethans arms are all toned. Imo not super jacked but muscular and firm where he’s been training for three years. The kind of arms that are perfect for holding you and defending your life. Sign me tf up.

And don’t get me started on his hands. Omg did someone say hands???? Ethan has the best hands. When I first played re7, it was something i noticed right away. He has strength in those hands. They are some damn good hands and they got even better in RE8. Except with duct tape which is apparently ethans one weakness in life.

AND WHEN I FIRST saw that fight scene in the trailer....

Hot and bothered am I

Also I am not ashamed to admit in one of the scenes where you see his backside I was like wow he’s got a great ass.

yes, the “it’s as both the right hand and the left hand have clutched the head to realize for the first time they are two parts of a single whole” quote is so deeply romantic and speaks to the larger dynamic between artemy and daniil, but i also think its very telling of the meta itself? especially one of artemy’s responses: “i get that feeling too, does this mean we’re alike?” because yes, you two are alike. you are being played by the same person, you are two hands on the same whole - the head being whoever’s playing the game. it really does never cease to amaze me how, even in a random piece of dialogue, the game’s chipping away at the fourth wall. it’s not always subtle but when it is, like in this instance, it just knocks you back.

major re8 village spoilers under cut

!!MAJOR RE8 VILLAGE SPOILERS!!

i finished the game and i.......was not expecting to get assaulted with feels

my boy......my boy ethan....... :(((((( we’ve been thru so much since re7 and it all ends like this?!?!?! god im like kind of pissed... there was obviously something “unique” about him with how his body regenerated and limbs magically re-attaching but i feel like the whole “ur just mold” revelation felt kinda rushed? idk... ethan’s been thru some SHIT and he deserved better

and i know there’s the “remake” universe going on now, but there’s STILL not a mention of jill within “this” timeline if 7 and 8 are following the “original” timeline if, not lending itself to the remake’s universe???? like WHAT has my girl been up to since 5!!! shacking it up with carlos?

and based on how village ended, i get the feeling 9 will center around chris and rose now..... but chris has gotta be getting pretty old based on how rose looked? i hope we see other characters too!!

and idk how much i harp on about this, i will Forever be salty about jeff voicing chris in this because again every time the dude talked i just heard carlos, and when u play as chris i just imagined myself playing as carlos lmao because it reminded me of playing his part in 3 remake. idk i love jeff but capcom please do not have him voice chris permanently...... bring carlos back and have him reprise his role also for how old chris is/looks now, jeff’s voice def seemed too young to fit him :\

also damn apparently according to the concept art, ada was almost in this game?? it wouldve been nice if there was some more connections to the other characters aside from just chris (aka one of the main re characters i care for the least.....) also!!! the concept art used her 2 remake model so.....maybe 7 and 8 ARE steadily becoming connected to the remake universe...? idk

um also this is not quite as important but lady dimitrescu was def not in the game enough :( her part of the game was def my favorite because it felt very classically like a resident evil game, if that makes sense? also uh she’s hot. beneviento’s part was my least because it fuckin scared the shit outta me lmao

idk the ending of 8 itself made me sad, but after replaying 3 remake there arent gonna be any re games left to play until 9 may come around years later :((( so i feel sad about that..... i’ll only have the infinite darkness show to look forward to resident evil-wise, cuz i watched all the animated movies already. and i got that multiplayer re-verse (?) game for free with 8 but i highly doubt i’ll play/enjoy that lol

Its 10:10 pm. I'm finishing re7. I wish you were with me to watch it and laugh. I'm at the loading screen. I'll detail everything I do. We stopped at the auto save just after I pushed the mine cart. I found.the steroids under the bathtubs. I remembered there was a free one somewhere really close by. I have the lil thingy i gotta stab evie with later. There were two extra flame rounds and a nuero round in the save room following the toxin, so I switched the burner for it and took the ammo. I'm about to get to the fight with the B I G big guy. I have two steroids too, so I'll be okay. Okay I lied. I forgot I had to make my way to the top of the mine shaft, then do the fight. I kept forgetting to switch back and fourth from my bombs to my machine gun, but the only damage i took was a blocked attack from a regular molded. We're still fine. NOW I'm gonna do that fight.

Easy. The 1 bomb i had left, the nuero round, 3 flame rounds, and a few machine gun rounds killed both. Used two small aids and that's it. Ezpz. We did it. Now I'm back at the house and I don't remember a clue lol

Ah! Get away from me bitch. She really does look a lot like Chucky sometimes. We watched a couple child's play movies didn't we? The newest one and maybe the one prior to that? I remember the one where he had lots of other Chucky dolls. I used to be so scared of him when I was young. There was a warehouse store somewhere nearby that had lifesize dolls of him and his bride. I think I might have told you that.

She tried to get me with the chainsaw again. I thought I was actually taking damage. The music in this part makes me sad. Its just souns very.. Well. Sad. The first time I played and jack was telling the story of how the found Evelin I cried. When he said free/save my family (can't remember which word) I just felt so bad for them. AH THE MUSIC IS GETTING LOUDER AND IS MAKING ME SAD. MY EYES ARE WATERING TYPING THIS. Let me keep going now. Okay I poked her. Now the big fight. Maybe I should've brought the manger. Oops. Eugh she puking. And transformin. We should not have survived that fall lol two times! We fall two times from like 30 feet. Ouch. The albert that you get for clearing certain challenges in the game isnt nearly as strong as the one you shoot eveline with, but it still makes that cool souls with each bullet lol

Well we did it. And we see chris. I wonder how he's supposed to lose his hair in the next game. CHRIS IS IN RE8. AND HES B A L D. Maybe just shaves it? Oh yeah, Mia. You're here. Greaft. Uhh where's zoe?? Im still super intrigued on how the game will be. Wolves and europe and all that.

I hope you were able to use that amazing game memory of yours to imagine the sections I mentioned, and the things I did. I'm not sure if this will be my last post for tonight yet. We beat it in 5:26'44. 5 deaths, one of which was bullshit from that crawler molded. 16 of 18 antique coins found. We did well.
