I have started on Man Drowning in a Veil which is related to Her Mannequin, the main for this manga is the relative we see of the main in Her Mannequin! I went onto this as Her Mannequin appeared to of been cut short and then restarted on February 14th only this year but has stopped again, I’ve heard due to health problems of the creator. ☹️
Man Yearning for a Veil is also another name for it, I’m not sure which people use most but either might be familiar, though it only has around 5k readers where I’m reading it so it might not be familiar.
Anyway, both mangas are filled with lgbt+ rep, people who don’t like binary gender things, and it’s refreshing. In this one it tackles a guy who was bullied so badly for liking cute things, just because he was tall and masc otherwise, and even more so because he was a guy.
Each manga speaks about different aspects and speaks on these topics very well, and I’m glad to read more about other characters in the universe, and their stories. I think this one came before Her Mannequin, but if I’m wrong the story takes place before the timelines where Her Mannequin takes place in the future, and the main of this is already married by that point and older.
Throughout all the trials of ignorant and mean people he finds the love of his life, and she has really cool snake bites as well! I can’t wait to officially meet her in this though, I’ve seen her a little in Her Mannequin.

"What makes you think he would ever love a disposable little thing like you, even if he could?"
I'm finally getting around to drawing one of what I'd like to call Cyber City's Bigwigs, aka major Darkner business leaders of the most prominent industries that run Cyber World's economy. These prominent figures were already in power long before Spamton's debut as the one and only BIG SHOT.
First is Nagela Sax, founder and genius designer of the luxury brand NAGELA SAX. Her long, slender body and paraffin-white skin make her one of Cyber World's most beautiful women. With the power to alter her eye color, makeup, hair, and nails at will, she is incredibly versatile. Despite looking similar to a fashion doll, she possesses internal organs. Her rigid torso allows her to always keep shape no matter what clothes she wears, but her breasts, which only superficially resemble real ones just like her ears, are hard as resin. Because of her body's mixed textures, she moves similarly to a stop-motion figure.
Nagela hires Addisons to model most of her clothing lines but never lets anyone else model her shoes. She takes pride in having the "fairest feet" in Cyber World and perhaps the other Dark Worlds as well.
Before Spamton, no other Darkner could stand or pose beside her for photoshoots. He was the only exception due to his unique, snow-white skin that complemented hers. Some spectated that the two were a couple. Nagela left this as an open question, but Spamton denied this. She became possessive over him and took pride in the fact that no other woman could ever compare to her when they stood together.
Until a White Addison showed up for employment: Thetalan, a strange little woman who was perhaps fair enough even for him. She hired her out of curiosity and intrigue despite knowing that she was far too short and "flawed" for an Addison. When she realized how the young lady looked at him, she felt an intense and burning desire to crush the girl's hopes and dreams of ever being noticed by him at every opportunity.
However, during a fashion show in 1996, while Spamton and Nagela made their way to their seats, Theta opened the door to the hallway they walked down, and his dark gaze met hers. Nagela caught the way their eyes widened as if they were already familiar, and intense jealousy sparked within her. During the entire show, Spamton fidgeted and bounced his knee, his eyes focusing on nothing at all. She had a burning suspicion it was because of that woman.
After the show and on the following workday, Nagela called Theta to her office. There, she stood tall over the small lady and questioned her about what had transpired during that "encounter." Theta lied about never talking to him, but Nagela was unsatisfied with this answer. She knew that, just like her, she found Spamton, the most handsome man in all of Cyber World. Euphoric as she domineered over her, Nagela declared, "What makes you think he would ever love a disposable little thing like you, even if he could? You're nothing but an Addison. You could never compare to someone like him! Be glad I gave a pitiful thing like you a chance to work for me."
These spiteful words crushed Theta's spirit, and her work performance slipped in the days that followed. Finding this the perfect opportunity to give a crushing blow, Nagela fired her and laughed as the girl cried on her way out.
