Dear Who-Ever-The-Fuck-You-Are's, let me explain to you: Russian filtration camps are not the "Will You or Won't You Pass The Border" kind of camps. These are "Will You Live Or Will You Get Murdered" kind of camps. This is the filtration. And my childhood best friend didn't pass it.
It happened back in June.
He was dragged out of his car, in which he sat with his mother for hours, after being told that they will be shot if they as much as open the window, along with other people in other cars, just like them wishing to escape Mariupol. The Russians took my best friend to their "station" and held him there for more than two hours. His mother said that she was forced to wait in the car, crying and screaming, guarded by one of the soldiers while he pointed his gun at her face through the window.
When the door of the station opened and her son stepped out: beaten, with blood all over his face and clothes, dragging his feet and holding his obviously broken hand at his side, she thought that maybe. Just maybe. It is a miracle and they passed. That they'll let them leave. That the Russians were done with them.
Except they weren't.
My best friend's mom saw as one of the Russian soldiers who exited the station after him laughed at something and pointed at him. Other two people peaked through the door and laughed too. It was strange, but she didn't care. Her son was about to open the door to the passenger seat and they were about to be out of there.
Except they weren't.
The Russian soldier raised his gun and, still laughing, never pausing the conversation he was engaging in with the others, pulled the trigger. At least three times in a row. And my best friend was killed with a single bullet that entered through his neck and painted his mother's white car red. The others pierced his body, each disrespecting it more than any god ever could.
That's when the soldier that pointed his gun at my now dead childhood best friend's mother took his body and tossed it into a pile just couple of meters from the station, full of other people.
Once alive.
Once happy.
Always Ukrainian.
His mother was in the state of shock. She was free now. Was ordered to go because "she passed". So she drove forward. Got to the territory controlled by Ukraine... But her soul never did. And she ended her life today, 18/11/2022. I wouldn't have even known if she hadn't sent me one of her Last Emails, thanking me "For Everything".
Except I never did anything. Or rather never did enough. I still don't do enough. I worked all summer and donated about 12k UAH to the army, give or take, but it's not enough. I can't do anything that will make me fell like it is and now I have the memory of two people to avenge. So, oh help me Devil, whom some of you think all Ukrainian's worship, because if I see a single person saying something about this war not being a genocide, I will do things both wrong and deadly.

perhaps to show my love for Ukraine the best thing or me to do is to go to russia. Pretend to be on their side but have a device embedded in me. Also a tattoo... something else.... at a pivotal point i show and do -- anything possible-- I use my life which isn't worth much anyway. Perhaps go to prison.... draw attention as much as possible
Only regret would be leaving Phoenix, who loves me unconditionally.

The Russo-Ukraine War may become another Yemen war
With the Ukraine forces repulse Russian’s offence in northern Kyiv and Russia’s statement in the southern field, it is likely that the Russo-Ukraine conflict will become a long-term conflict and military statement just like the conflict between Saudi-led coalition and the Houthis forces started in 2014.
In detail, Russia’s offences will be slowed down and even stopped by the new Ukraine army formed after the Euromaidan Revolution, which are equipped and organized under the NATO standard. While on the other hand, considering Russia still has, and would remain her aero and naval superiority, it is very unlikely for Ukraine to draw Russia forces back to their home country. As a result, their will be less territory change between the two countries in a long term.
The second reason the Russo-Ukraine war will become another Yemen War is that the both countries have strong reserved resourced or backed by other super power, in other words, the conflict between Ukraine and Russia has already become a proxy war between the east and west superpowers. Considering the importance of Ukraine in Geopolitics, neither of these superpowers would easily give in in the conflict just like the Yemen conflict. During the Yemen conflict, the Houthis forces has gained the support from Iran and its allies, while Saudi Arabia have organized a coalition of Gulf countries and even gain supports from Arabia and Western countries, such a strategic statement led to a tactic military statement.
In the near future, Ukraine forces may gradually use guerrilla forces to resist Russian occupation in its southern territory (except of regions like Donbass and Crimea which both have a strong Russophile atmosphere), or may even start its own raid in Russia and Belarus territory, just like Ansar Allah’s offensive in southern Saudi Arabia, such strategy have more psychological affects than tactical affects, but can still destroy enemy army units in random. What is more, Ukraine forces can use ballistic missiles and drones to attack Russia and Belarus cities, petroleum facilities and military facilities just like the Ansar Allah’s tactic in the war against Gulf countries.
From Russia’s perceptive, it is better for them to copy Saudi-Arabian’s tactic, replacing low-determined conscripts with mercenaries and ideologic sympathies from the third-world countries. Such tactic will lower the cost of warfare and comfort internal worries. What is more, cutting off Ukraine’s foreign supply is of premier importance for Russia under the current circumstance. In detail, it means using strategic bombing of Liev and other western Ukraine cities to eliminate European countries’ supply for Ukraine. Thirdly, Russia can use refugee as a weapon. They can transport homeless Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan and refugee from other countries to the border of Russian territories and encourage them to seek asylum in European Union. Russia can also cover up FSB agents and ultranationalists as Ukraine refugees and send them to attack western European countries.

BOOKS: Ember Blade started great, I loved the parallels with the dictatorship regime, the divided society, the occupational forces and the choices of playing along and surviving vs rebelling and risking everything. Esp I loved the central duo of friends of course, but turns out one will die at the end and I hate it enough to refuse reading any further.
TV SERIES: The legal drama Suits is currently giving me everything I was looking for in all the bromancy fantasy books of the summer. Great great mentor/friendship, the protectiveness, Harvey is the coolest “I have no feelings but I'm fair ruthless ace” and Mike is the naive emotional genius getting invested into everybody. They make the best duo - Mike cares about people and finds unfairness and Harvey gets dragged along, cause he likes the kid and helps him win the case with his ruthless methods. Perfect. Also apparently pretending not to care, cause it's a weakness, behind a assured charming predatory smile, is still as addictive for me as it was 5 years ago.
AUS: have been doing Suits AUs for the last week, finally have lots new to think about! It kinda gets mixed with the Ukriane war, since I have been reading about it a lot as well, so Zephyr is either a soldier, or diplomat or lawyer trying to get more weapons and support from America, ach jaj.
SONGS: I'm missing new songs to listen to. Always get a crisis when I can't find new good songs to daydream to. Thank you for the playlist @sleepyowlwrites how did you know I would need it?
WRITING: I have realized I won't get the guilty pleasure scenes I want to read from anywhere else, but writing them (duh). I have collected some dialogue prompts for this purpose. But then @tryingtimi and @ren-c-leyn encourage me with writing the "official" hurt/comfort scenes for Tears of Iron, so I have some on mind as well:
A dive into Hal's POV and some emotional comfort from Zephyr (that poor Sasuke never got)
The elemental fusion exam where the main trio turns into an element, but turning back and being human turns quite difficult and painful afterwards.
Still have the Soft secrets scene for Skye to dive into her concerns and insight of Zephyr
And the new character intro with Wolf and finally seeing some of the blow up Zephyr is heading towards
I’m having a bit of a crisis of realizing for the first time this summer that I didn’t enjoy the fantasy elements as much as I usually do. They actually felt like a waste of time? Like there wasn’t much to take away from it. Really interested in wars, dictatorships and regimes right now, with the rising threat of everything. Maybe it’s time to get back to other genres again. I do want my happy endings and true friendships and loyalties though - not likely to find those there.

notes from work shop
After this workshop I toyed with lots of ideas but in doing research for the tax man video I found some nitrating facts out and wrote a entirely new brief. I took this to make and he gave me notes as I wasn't sure about theory as well as target audience.

- Obey the giant ; https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7179102/ - These pieces of work combine new ideas and forward thinking to a nationalist art style reminiscent of the war time posters in not only the USSR but also the UK as well but mostly the USSR with the colours that would be recently used. Fir example his work of a atomic bomb explosion (1) representing peace is an interesting way to take the message but its smart as not only does it play on what we would normally associate with this style but also repurposing a style once used to combat the ideas he agrees with to aid him in spearing his message.
It's also very random as he puts his work up all across the world to spread the message and has a map on his website on where all his work has been found. This is something I would like to incorporate in some way and elevate the idea of the work being able too be anywhere as yes posters can go up anyway where but I would like to create something a little bit more versatile in where I can put it.  https://obeygiant.com/engineering/bootlegs/
- Banksy https://www.banksy.co.uk/shows.html# - they are a household name and are a staple in modern street art as well as art today in general. there work is so versatile from installations to spray painted street art and even a hotel and the work speaks for itself. they have tackled all kinds of topics such as the meat industry and animal cruelty with image (1) to tackling the current state of ukrian and the war that is going on over there. there work and be placed anywhere and this is something I admire a lot as its using the surroundings that people are actually living in to convey a message.
Unlike the ‘Obey’ campaign where posters are put up which isn't a bad thing however there is more opportunity to spread a message with banksy’s art style as it can be put anywhere. Even with image (1) yes its in a car but its being paraded round London using the street level to full effect. This is something that is crucial I use as my campaign will need to hit the people and I want them to be exposed to it as much as they can.
something I noticed with both campaigns is that things are being repurposed and re used wether that be a style from the past or walls and street signs. but both also are street art and this is something I could link to the theory also
Tax is something we all have to pay and is an essential part of our country. It helps pay for our NHS and education, However are we being conned by our own government. The UK government only creates paper money leaving the digital currency up to the banks. This means every time a loan is taken out new money is created by the bank. The banks have created over 1 trillion pounds of digital money from 2002 - 2009 (Positive Money, n.d.). Because they've created this money they get all the benefits not the government or us the taxpayer. Such benefits as being able to give out £1 trillion of additional loans which puts common people in more debt as they are more willing to give loans out as they essentially print the money themselves, not only is this effecting the ground level but the government have to borrow more and more money from the banks to make up for lost income which intern puts our country in debt. This means that our taxes rise and we have to pay more and more every year to pay our national debt.
This debt has been growing for years and this cycle will continue to make this grow more every year as we can see from the Office of National Statistics that from July 2022 to September 2022 the government amassed £2,445.2 billion in debt and had to borrow 27.6 billion pounds (www.ons.gov.uk, 2023). I will use ideas of reusing things like walls and discarded boxes to advertise the campaign as I want this to be something everyone can take part in and spread the word which is something i came across in a paper about sustainable design and how things can be repurposed for design (Aguirre and Carr, 2010). This project will link to the categories of advocacy, participation and conversation. (LO 1) I will be looking at street art but also how politicians speak trying to fight each other with words (McLeish, 2019) and how they use words to confuse us and make us think one thing when there actually saying other also known as doublespeak (www.youtube.com, William Lutz, 1989) and try and use these political mannerisms against the politicians.

Ukraine wants more ‘game-changer’ HIMARS. The U.S. says it’s complicated.
The agile, precision-launch rocket systems are helping Ukraine fend off Russian artillery attacks in the east

NEAR IZYUM, Ukraine — If only they had more, and more sophisticated, weapons from the West, Ukrainian officials often tell their American counterparts and anyone else who will listen, they could make short work of Russian invaders. Last month’s arrival of the first of what are now a dozen U.S. multiple-launch precision rocket systems, known as HIMARS, has already been a game changer, soldiers here said this week.
Since a recent HIMARS strike on an enemy ammunition depot in Izyum, located southeast of Ukraine’s second-largest city Kharkiv, Russian shelling has been “10 times less” than before, said Bohdan Dmytruk, a battalion commander in Ukraine’s 93rd Mechanized Brigade.
Yet the Biden administration has parceled out the rocket systems slowly, watching how the Ukrainians handle them — and how the Russians respond. To fighters on the ground, that makes little sense at a crucial moment in the war.
In his battalion alone, Dmytruk said, the number of killed and injured has fallen dramatically compared to when his soldiers moved to this part of the front line three months ago. “We have about one guy suffer a concussion every week now. Before the HIMARS hit, it was about two to three a day because of the intensity of the shelling.”
Dmytruk and soldiers in the area attributed the drop-off in what was near-constant bombardment to the Russians’ need to conserve shells after the depot was destroyed, and their fear that firing their own artillery will alert the far more accurate and agile HIMARS to their positions.
“They have no idea where it is,” Dmytruk said of the wheeled launch vehicle and its four-man crew, which can fire and drive away at up to 60 miles per hour within two minutes. Already, he said, the Russians are likely adjusting to the new weapons by moving their supplies deeper into Russian-held territory beyond the 50-mile HIMAR range.

The administration announced Friday that it would send four additional HIMARS — High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems — to Ukraine, bringing the total to 16. Britain and Germany also have each sent or pledged three similar multiple-launch long-range systems. But the Ukrainians and some other close observers of the conflict say the need is far greater and immediate.
Ukrainian government and military officials have said at various times that they need dozens, hundreds or even thousands of HIMARS. “For an effective counteroffensive, we need at least 100,” with longer-range munition than what has been supplied, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said Tuesday in a video appearance at the Washington-based Atlantic Council. “That would be a game changer.”
Russian missiles strike port of Odessa, a day after grain deal
The provision of security assistance to Ukraine has become a massive operation, involving more than 50 countries. The United States leads the effort, with the most money spent and weapons sent — $8.2 billion worth since the beginning of the administration, with billions more expected — although others have collectively provided billions worth of light and heavy military equipment. To Washington, confronting Russia with a large and united global front is worth the occasional headaches of coordinating donations from around the world, ensuring equipment is in working order and matches needs on the ground, and seeing that it gets to the right place inside Ukraine.
The nerve center of the operation is a large, secure room at the U.S. European Command in Stuttgart, Germany. Cables taped along the floor and folding tables lined with laptops gave it a makeshift atmosphere during a reporter’s recent visit, with a World War II allied vibe as uniformed officers from many countries traded documents, pointed at screens filled with lists and graphs, and consulted on telephones in various languages. The to-do list is complex. Norwegian tanks have needed new barrels to match donated ammunition from somewhere else. Aging Spanish tanks, made in Germany, required refurbishment after years in storage. Shells and spare parts for Ukraine’s own Soviet-era artillery are being solicited from other former U.S.S.R. states. There are logistics routes to be plotted and, always, new Ukrainian requests to consider.
Most attention has focused on big-ticket items that only the United States and a few of its NATO allies have been able or willing to provide. From antitank weapons to air defense to howitzers and now HIMARS, each escalation has required consideration by individual governments of what is possible and advisable.
For some critics, and many Ukrainians, the steps in that process do not always match the urgency of the situation, especially as Russia has said it plans to annex parts of occupied southern Ukraine and made slow but steady progress expanding its hold on the east.
Some argue the objective should be to put Ukraine in a better position for cease-fire negotiations to keep Russia from conquering more territory. Others say the goal of the ally-provided aid, now that the Ukrainians have shown their fighting mettle, should be arming them for a counteroffensive to push the Russians back across their own border.
“There’s a window of opportunity that’s narrowing rather rapidly to change the trajectory of this war. But right now, I just don’t hear the urgency to do so,” said Alina Polyakova, president and chief executive of the Center for European Policy Analysis. She defined that window as within the next four to six months.
Fleeing war, Ukrainians find open arms but a closed border
U.S. and allied incrementalism — the measured provision of more and better equipment after, instead of before, Russians have advanced in a particular battlespace — will make it ever-harder to dislodge established Russian facts on the ground, Polyakova and others said.
U.S. administration and military officials have said that one of their top concerns is not provoking Russia into a direct conflict with NATO, even as Ukraine points out that Russia invaded their country without provocation. The range of the ammunition the United States is providing for the HIMARS will not reach across the occupied east to Russia itself from Ukrainian front lines, but it allows what Gen. Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, speaking at a Wednesday news conference with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, called an “echelon of fires,” with shorter-range weapons, across various distances.
At the same time, Austin indicated, such sophisticated weapons don’t just come out of the box ready to use. So far, he said, 200 Ukrainians have been trained outside the country on using and maintaining the HIMARS.
“It’s not good enough just to provide a piece of equipment,” Austin said. “We need to have that piece of gear plus spare parts, plus tools to repair it.”
The HIMARS have been used to destroy Russian command posts, ammunition depots and other logistics hubs. In the southern region of Kherson, an area occupied by Russia since the first days of the war, recent strikes have targeted Antonovskiy Bridge, a key supply route that connects the Crimean Peninsula, where Russia has a military base, to their troops in Kherson.
The HIMARS have been so effective that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has ordered commanders to prioritize them for targeting. Moscow is hoping to use drones — likely bought from Iran, according to U.S. officials — to find and destroy the HIMARS. Russia has already claimed to have hit at least four of the weapons systems.
But “we haven’t lost a single HIMARS, despite what the Russians have claimed,” Kyrylo Budanov, Ukraine’s military intelligence chief, said in an interview.
Ukraine's farmers have become the latest target of Russian missiles
The HIMARS can also fire a munition called the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) with a range of nearly 186 miles, nearly quadruple what they are now supplied with, but the Pentagon has withheld those out of concern the missiles might land in Russia itself. The restriction has frustrated Ukrainian officials, who described it as paternalistic.
In a battle now largely conducted with artillery at distances where troops of opposite sides rarely see each other, the longer-range missiles would also allow Ukrainian forces to move their HIMARS further back from the front lines, better insulating them from enemy detection.
“The sooner we receive them, the more lives of our soldiers we will save, and the sooner we will start the counteroffensive operation,” Yehor Cherniev, a member of the Ukrainian parliament, said in a statement. “It is unfortunate that we have to spend weeks and months to convince our partners.”
In late May, as the decision to provide HIMARS was being made, President Biden told reporters that “we’re not going to send to Ukraine rocket systems that can strike into Russia.” At the news conference, Austin and Milley sidestepped questions about whether the Pentagon would supply the ATACMS. “We think what they’re working with [now] is giving them a lot of capability,” Milley said.
The Americans have said they want to see how the Ukrainians use and absorb particular capabilities into their arsenal before they send more advanced weaponry, even if potential delays cost lives.
From Ukraine’s perspective, that decision process is “like in a computer game,” Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in an interview. “You have to unlock the next level, but before you do it, you usually die a couple of times. The problem with real life is that you can’t die multiple times before you get to the next level.”
How Russia is laying the groundwork for its annexation of Ukraine
Another potential U.S. concern is the availability of the weapons themselves. There are likely between 1,000 and 3,000 ATACMS in U.S. stocks, said Chris Dougherty, a senior defense fellow at the Center for a New American Security. They’re the oldest missiles in Army inventory, according to the service, and are periodically tested to ensure viability. The replacement munition, which can fire even further, is not yet in production.
The Defense Department said in 2020 that the United States had a supply of 410 HIMARS, but the Pentagon declined to produce a current figure. Stockpiles are “internal to DoD,” said spokesperson Jessica Maxwell.
Budanov, Ukraine’s military intelligence chief, said the longest-range system currently in his country’s arsenal is the Tochka-U, a Soviet-era system with a maximum distance of about 75 miles, and “very few of them are left.”
But for now, he said, they have the HIMARS. “We’ll fight with these,” he said. “If we get the longer-range [munitions], we’ll use those. And the Russians know that either way, it’s the end for them with these weapons.”
DeYoung, Horton and Demirjian reported from Washington. Dan Lamothe contributed to this report.

In light of the influx of misinformed people spreading disinformation on this platform, I’m just adding a bit of news here. And if you are too lazy to read and check sources, here: China IS NOT joining Russia’s side.
12 hours ago, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi had a phone conversation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, during which he stated
“China is deeply grieved to see the conflict between Ukraine and Russia and highly concerned about the damage done to civilians. China's fundamental position on the Ukraine issue is open, transparent and consistent. We have always advocated respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries. On the current crisis, China calls on Ukraine and Russia to find a solution through negotiations and supports all constructive international efforts that are conducive to a political settlement.” Wang Yi also emphasized that China has always believed that the security of one country should not be achieved at the expense of the security of other countries, and that regional security can not be achieved by expanding military blocs. To address the expanding warfare, the pressing task for now is to alleviate the situation on the ground as much as possible to avoid the escalation of conflicts or even the loss of control. Harms done to civilians and humanitarian crises, in particular, must be prevented, and the safe and timely access of humanitarian assistance should be ensured.”
Source here. Or if you don’t trust tHe CHiNeSe, this from Wall Street Journal, this that says Chins is “further edging away from Russia” from Bloomburg, and this from NikkeiAsia, Japanese-affiliated.

A message from the Snake Island Nine and Ukrainians: "Go Fuck Yourself!" Russians are sleeping tight. They were sleeping tight before.

On 24th of February 2022 the whole Ukraine though woke up at 5 am from the sounds
of explosions. Those sounds that were heard in Donbas for years since 2014.
There is no diplomatic solution in a fight with a delusional man as Putin and his hateful racist and supremacist troops.
He has no respect for anyone. He wants blood and power without consequences. Not only that, but he called our indigenous people – Crimean Tatars – terrorists because they are Muslims. While the are victims of deportations and are minority that we love in support in Ukriane but they get imprisoned in Russia for their ethnicity and religion (they are Muslims)

A message from the Snake Island Nine and Ukrainians: "Go Fuck Yourself!"
How come shelling the civilians has justified anything?
The war has been there for 8 years, but now it is turning into a living nightmare for the whole Ukraine
I don't believe in god or hell. I just want Russian forces to face a military tribunal at best. And in the worst scenario… Well, you came to conquer my land by killing innocents, and we fight back. You will get revenge.
Russia has never taken the accountability of invading Finland, Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Afghanistan, Georgia, and Ukraine.
I've heard how Russian government wanting to drown us in blood in 2008 when they attacked Georgia.
There are no compromises with bullies and gangsters. And Russia is that kind of country. It is led by a war criminal.
It could have been stopped with sanctions, but we are on our own at last.
I believe in Ukrainian army forces, and we will endure!
But it's important for you to stand with Ukraine as well.
We are on our own land, and we didn't attack anyone.
Yesterday I’ve spent the night on the bombing shelter where there were people with kids and their pets. The heartbreaking moment in the metro station that serves people as a bombing shelter is when a boy (approximately of age 6-7) asks parents if only Kyiv is being shelled or the whole country.  Gosh, he wasn't even born when the war started.
I ran out of power yesterday because I was checking on anyone as much as possible to just know if they are okay.
13 Ukrainian heroes died defending the Snake Island, but did not surrender to the occupation forces and their last words were “Fuck you, Russian military vessel!".
When we got back home, we heard sirens again.
The attack is non-stop.
But I am proud of my people staying strong, helping out each other, checking on each other and resisting.
The innocent Civilians get attacked. There is no excuse for that. We are resisting and we will not kneel!

"You could have chosen between shame and war. You chose shame. And now you will have war."
This is what happened when Europe decided to sacriface Czechoslovakia to Hitler's advances during the Munich dictate in 1937-1939. They sacrificed a country to an agressor, to Hitler's independence proclamations of regions that weren't his, and annexed them. Europe didn't want to go to war, they didn't want to make themselves uncomfortable and stand up against someone scary and powerful.
Where did it get them? Did they keep the peace they sacrificed millions of people for, just cause they were from smaller countries, didn't have weaponry and needed help? No. They got WW2. They got concentration camps and massive genocide and two atomic bombs. But Hitler could have been stopped.
Because we could have fought. Czechoslovakia could have fought too, and we did during WW2 from our mountains and forests through the partisan war. People can fight if they are given help and don't have to just wait for rescue in terrible conditions, depending from others' complete kindness.
This is my history. First Czechoslovakia was politically sacrificed to Hitler before WW2 and then we were handed over to Putin's regime and communisitc dictatorship after the WW2. When the world was rebuilding, Czechoslovakia and the Easter block were controlled and occupied. This is how my parents grew up. Cut off from the world, cut from human rights, in poverty and brainwashing propaganda till 1989. (This is why I'm allergic to socialism and communism. You westerns who speak so blindly about it don't know what it did to us).
That's what Putin is doing to Ukriane right now, with direct attacks and military force, and he will want his puppet government and his regime, and says Ukriane is "his" by right and other outrageous lies. He is doing the Hitler war move to make a dictatorship over an independent country like Ukriane like he did to Eastern Block (that's half of EU right now!) till 1989.
Don't sacriface Ukriane for world peace, for European peace! Cause there will be no peace. History have taught us that. An agressor only stops, when he is punished, when he is stopped by force.

“…late in this century and on a Wednesday morning, bearing the mark of one who’s experienced neither heaven nor hell,
my birthplace vanished, my citizenship earned, in league with stones of the earth, I enter, without retreat or help from history, the days of no day, my earth of no earth, I re-enter
the city in which I love you. And I never believed that the multitude of dreams and many words were vain.”
Li-Young Lee [from “The City In Which I Loved You”]
