here's my take as a Pole and as an international relations graduate: nothing huge is going to happen so hold your horses and stop panicking. as tragic as these two deaths are, no one's gonna use them as a reason to implement article 5 and i doubt russia is preparing some kind of major attack on Poland. what i think is going to happen is Poland will push for a) more sanctions, b) more NATO forces on the eastern flank, c) (maybe) some diplomatic consequences but nothing major. and no, Polish army is not preparing to march to russia or whatever, please take anything you read online with a grain of salt and check your sources.

According to the UN in 500 days of the Russia Ukraine conflict, 545 Ukrainian children were killed by Russia's forces.
And Russia was rightfully called out and condemned for this.
In 10 days, it's estimated 1000 Palestinian children have been killed in Gaza by Israel.
And Israel was given donations to continue their crimes.
People screamed over the lie of 40 dead babies but lose their voice at the 750 real babies that were killed.
Where is your outrage now?
Why is it okay for one group of children to be killed and not another?
It's estimated 1 Palestinian child in Gaza dies every 15 minutes by Israeli forces.
But they aren't "white, blonde, blue eyed, Europeans" so it's not heartbreaking enough for you.
Because I guess their lives mean less?

Dear Who-Ever-The-Fuck-You-Are's, let me explain to you: Russian filtration camps are not the "Will You or Won't You Pass The Border" kind of camps. These are "Will You Live Or Will You Get Murdered" kind of camps. This is the filtration. And my childhood best friend didn't pass it.
It happened back in June.
He was dragged out of his car, in which he sat with his mother for hours, after being told that they will be shot if they as much as open the window, along with other people in other cars, just like them wishing to escape Mariupol. The Russians took my best friend to their "station" and held him there for more than two hours. His mother said that she was forced to wait in the car, crying and screaming, guarded by one of the soldiers while he pointed his gun at her face through the window.
When the door of the station opened and her son stepped out: beaten, with blood all over his face and clothes, dragging his feet and holding his obviously broken hand at his side, she thought that maybe. Just maybe. It is a miracle and they passed. That they'll let them leave. That the Russians were done with them.
Except they weren't.
My best friend's mom saw as one of the Russian soldiers who exited the station after him laughed at something and pointed at him. Other two people peaked through the door and laughed too. It was strange, but she didn't care. Her son was about to open the door to the passenger seat and they were about to be out of there.
Except they weren't.
The Russian soldier raised his gun and, still laughing, never pausing the conversation he was engaging in with the others, pulled the trigger. At least three times in a row. And my best friend was killed with a single bullet that entered through his neck and painted his mother's white car red. The others pierced his body, each disrespecting it more than any god ever could.
That's when the soldier that pointed his gun at my now dead childhood best friend's mother took his body and tossed it into a pile just couple of meters from the station, full of other people.
Once alive.
Once happy.
Always Ukrainian.
His mother was in the state of shock. She was free now. Was ordered to go because "she passed". So she drove forward. Got to the territory controlled by Ukraine... But her soul never did. And she ended her life today, 18/11/2022. I wouldn't have even known if she hadn't sent me one of her Last Emails, thanking me "For Everything".
Except I never did anything. Or rather never did enough. I still don't do enough. I worked all summer and donated about 12k UAH to the army, give or take, but it's not enough. I can't do anything that will make me fell like it is and now I have the memory of two people to avenge. So, oh help me Devil, whom some of you think all Ukrainian's worship, because if I see a single person saying something about this war not being a genocide, I will do things both wrong and deadly.

as we’re all condemning the Israeli occupation of Gaza and palestine as well as the anti-semitism sweeping the world I really truly hope we remember that all this is because of the imperial West.
This is the work of the colonial powers of the US, UK, France, Russia, Germany etc. When Congolese, Palestinians, Sudanese, Ukrainians are being slaughtered, it is THEM who are benefiting. It is THEM who instigate these atrocities against human beings. It is THEM who start and fund the wars. The West has been the #1 bastion for anti-Semitism (not that anti-semitism is not there in other parts of the world). The Western Empires have killed billions of innocent human beings for wealth. They have harvested nations for CENTURIES. They have massacred countless people for money. It isn’t just stolen wealth, it’s blood money. Their power didn’t end with the slave trade. They are still the biggest human traffickers. They still profit off the labor of ordinary folk in the global south. UNFAIRLY. Colonizers deliberately agitated different ethnic groups within the regions they colonized to encourage instability and discord. The US has been instrumental in modern times when it comes to this strategy of destabilization. Everything that happened in the colonial scramble of the 18th and 19th centuries, such as creating reckless borders that affect inter-ethnic relations to this day, treating their land as play things, is something that has contributed to the situation in Palestine. Just read about the UN’s hand in it. The US is still killing Native Americans today. France is still killing Central Africans today. I am so tired of different genocides gaining traction on social media and people acting like these are all random, isolated incidents that just popped out of the ground. THEY HAVE BEEN HAPPENING FOR DECADES IF NOT CENTURIES. The culprits are always the same.
LOOK AT THEM. EMPIRES BUILT ON MASS SLAVERY AND GENOCIDE WILL NEVER ESCAPE THEIR ROOTS.
THEY MUST CONTINUE TO SUSTAIN THEMSELVES ON THE BLOOD OF INNOCENTS.
THEY MUST BE RESISTED AND DISSOLVED.

because of this there is a long history of hate and longing for justice
also millions of poles have families or relatives from Ukraine
Putin WON'T announce capitulation because he KNOWS that would mean his death at the hands of his own people who would kill him in matter of hours

Poland is NOT going to force neither article 4 or 5
Polish experts say the missiles used were ukrainian not russian and were probably launched to shoot down rockets fired by Russia but missed and hit the polish border

You're spreading false information and panic.
Yes, two allegedly russian missiles hit Poland. Yes, two people are dead.
No, that doesn't mean it's a start of ww3 and that Putin is also attacking Poland now.
Yes, this is scary. Yes, we are afraid things might escalate but for now all everyone can do is sit and wait, as the investigation progresses.
No one knows shit because there's no confirmed, 100 % true information.
It might've been accidental, it might be a test - no one knows.
What is confirmed, however, is that Poland is going to push for implementation of article 4 (The Parties will consult together whenever, in the opinion of any of them, the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the Parties is threatened.)
All of this is worrying but for now all we can do is wait for more information.

today the russian ambassador in Poland was supposed to lay flowers at the Soviet Military Cementary in Warsaw, so this is what had been prepared for him to see before the entrance:
from what i understand, he laid the flowers before this whole installation, without even entering the cementery.

Underneath "complex issue" is racism.
People especially in the west have been bought up to dehumanise people who don't look like them.
In this case, Arabs.
People equate Arabs to Muslims and suddenly are much more okay with them being killed.
Because they see them as lesser, as terrorists, as inhuman. That's what they are raised to believe.
Israel went from denying that Palestinians ever existed to dehumanising them.
And for people who already held prejudice towards anyone who's skin wasn't light as snow... Wasn't hard to follow along.
When Russia invaded Ukraine, the whole world turned against Russis. They were banned from sporting events, they were instantly condemned.
Someone said that the event was so tragic because "white, blonde haired, blue eyed children" were dying.
Comments about how they couldn't fathom such an atrocity happening in "a civilised" part of the world.
Like the West isn't directly responsible for the atrocities happening in the "uncivilised" parts.
If the races were swapped, the Israelis would have been the ones being killed because they would be no longer white.
And thus no one would care.
When the Ukrainians fought back it was resistence and exercising their right to defend to themselves.
When the Palestinians do it, it's terrorism. Even when it's peaceful, it's terrorism.
Israeli's are killed.
Palestinians die.
It's all in the language we use to explain this atrocity.
People will bend over backwards because they can't admit they don't see Palestinians as human.
Governments will bend over backwards to defend their aligence with Israel, because they can't admit they don't see the Palestinians as human.
And they profit from it.
And that's just talking about Palestine, not the many many other atrocities going on in the world.
It's textbook White Supremacy.
And it's not always the people you expect.
It's not just the openly prejudiced.
It's people who love stories like the Hunger Games and truly understand its themes.
It's the people who were the first to condemn Russia, that suddenly go quiet.
Say its complicated when it comes to people who don't look like them.
Truth is right infront of them.
Google is free.
But that would mean they'd be put into a position where they aren't comfortable.
Which is another aspect of White Supremacy.
And some people would rather die than let that happen.
They can "um actually" all they want, it doesn't change the facts.
There's a genocide and your defending it, and you are the scum of the earth.
And the Palestinians in Gaza might not see your comments, but your poc friends will.
And they'll know that your allyship is simply performative, just like everyone else.
