Helluva Boss S1 Ep. 8: Queen Bee

Yes, you saw that right.

Season 1. Episode 8.

And I have two things to say:

I honestly love the fact that both of the characters we've met that represent that seven deadly sins have actually been pretty decent people overall?

Bee is implied to feed off her party guests energy...but there's no indication at all that it hurts them, and they seem to have a good time at her parties. And she clearly cares about her subjects and just people who come to the parties she throws. Obviously she's still got flaws as a person, but overall, she's pretty cool.

Ozzie is a bit more abrasive, though not by much and he only really seems to act that way when it kind of seems like he has reason to? He mocks Moxxie for his love song at the club, yes. But even then, it comes across as more light ribbing (Fizz is the one being more overtly rude), and he never discourages Moxxie from singing or tells him to get off the stage - he just tells him to add a bit more lust to the song so it fits what the club is going for. He does "call out" Stolas for having an affair with Blitzo, but when you actually look at what he's saying, it comes across more like Ozzie himself sees what he's saying as praise? Like the whole song he's more or less been telling Moxxie to be more lustful, and now he's showing Stolas as an "example" of someone who's so familiar with what lust actually means that he was willing to throw away his life for what seems to be assumed is just a hook-up situation. And then he only kicks Moxxie and Millie out after Millie physically assaults Fizz.

And in the newest episode, he's actually pretty polite to Stolas, seeming to be open to the idea of giving Blitzo a crystal if not for the fact that he's aware that Fizz really hates the other imp. As soon as Fizz indirectly says they made amends, it seems like Ozzie is on board with doing what Stolas asked, with no strings attached as far as we can tell. There's also the whole thing of him being against the idea of trying to force lust, which also gives off the impression he's against stuff like trying to force someone to engage in acts of lust.

Bee is such a cutie??? HELLO!!!

Here's my (slightly belated) rarepair: Alastor and Beelzebub!

Alastor loves dancing, loves music and singing, and loves good food and good drink - he and Bee are both high energy party folk!

I like to imagine that if they met in the 30s, Bee would be OBSESSED with jazz and swing and the lindy hop.

Aaaaand the Queen of Gluttony is one of the patron Sins of cannibalism, soooo they probably get along on that front, too.

If I had a nickel for every reinterpretation of the demon lord Beelzebub I'm utterly obsessed with, I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's awesome that it happened twice.

might take inspo from from the new helluva boss episode for it too, there were some fun poses and perspectives used there that i could experiment with!

Title: Queen Bee's Hellish Party

In the hazy neon glow of IMP headquarters, a high-pitched trill sounded from BlitzØ's communicator. His infernal red eyes flicked to the screen where Queen Bee's confident grin appeared. BlitzØ gulped. Queen Bee, the most renowned hellhound and social butterfly in Hell, never called without a reason.

"BlitzØ, darling," she howled, her voice a smoky mix of command and allure. "I'm throwing a shindig at my estate this Saturday, and I want you and your motley crew to be there. It will be the party of the millennium."

BlitzØ, frozen for a moment, finally replied with a casual grin, "Sure, Queen Bee, we'll be there. Wouldn't miss it for the world."

As he ended the call, he found himself under the scrutinizing gaze of his team. Moxxie had a dubious look on his face, Loona was already excited about the possibility of seeing the pack, while Millie was giddy with anticipation. Even Stolas, who had been eavesdropping from the corner, seemed intrigued.

"Looks like we're going to a party," BlitzØ announced, his voice filled with faux enthusiasm.

There was a chorus of responses. Moxxie groaned, Loona smirked, Millie clapped her hands excitedly, and Stolas preened. No one knew what Queen Bee had in store, but one thing was certain - the party was going to be one hell of a blast.

New father Lucifer showing off his new baby to the other Deadly SIns. Of course, the Sin of Pride would proudly show off his baby.

How did the other Sins react to baby Charlie? At least the ones who have already appeared in Helluva Boss.

Lucifer went absolutely crazy showing Charlie off to the other Sins as soon as he could after she was born. And even before he could actually bring her to the others, or bring them to her, he was bragging about how adorable she was via whatever communication he was able to do at the time.

I feel like Bee and Ozzie would have been really excited to meet baby Charlie, though while Bee would've practically begged to hold her, Ozzie would never allow himself to be within six feet of the baby. Not because he hates her or anything, but because I headcanon he's actually kind of afraid to hold a baby and he doesn't want to risk anyone trying to make him hold her if he gets too close.

And I feel like Mammon would just muster up like, the least bit of enthusiasm just to make Lucifer happy, but otherwise wouldn't really care? He does not seem like the type to actually like kids at all to me. Though I don't know if I think he really likes anyone, seriously, unless he thinks they can help make him money in some way, so it's nothing personal to baby Charlie.

The Possible Allies of I.M.P.

While it's nice to have enemies for the main characters, I feel like I.M.P. could stand for some allies right now. Especially since Crimson and Striker have amped up their game. As well as Andrealphus is added to the picture (He's going to be a MAJOR problem).

So far, Asmodeus and Fizz are high candidates. Asmodeus does provide a crystal for Stolas after Fizz forgave Blitz what happened. Which is a start of fixing things. I can imagine Asmodeus being the kind of person you could go to for relationship advice since he knows the difference between love and lust. He could help Stolas be more confident in his ability to have a healthy relationship with Blitz. As for Fizz, his robotic limbs can be useful in combat. His time with I.M.P. would also help improve his chances of self-defense.

Another group of allies would be Bee and Vortex. I know that's early considering what happened in "Queen Bee" but it has a good possiblity. Bee and Vortex know when something is up. Bee did notice that Blitz was eating his feelings. Vortex picked up on it too. Vortex was really chill with Blitz and saw him more as somebody to hang around with than the guy that got into a petty fight with his boss. They can provide some moral support for the team.
