könig - he's either an uwu toddler written by someone with a severe misunderstanding of social anxiety or completely unhinged and feral killer who abuses all of his partners. there's never an in between, and the way this fandom has replaced gaz in favor of him has made me so sick of him.

9. worst part of canon

Most obvious one would have to be the fact that this franchise of military propaganda has an incredibly harmful effect on a way-too-young, easily-influenced audience.

Hyperspecific, but the romanticisation of the Good Guys (aka dehumanisation of "the enemy", which again is propaganda).

The subsequent romanticisation of the game and western military institutions goes hand in hand with the propaganda aspect.

12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

There are a few fics on AO3 for Fender, but fuck me does he deserve more. Joined the military because his father was a soldier and his mother would tell Fender stories about him? Loves his mum? C'mon, fandom, the man is top tier material.

Horangi, because I'm currently working on a fic for him and his voice actor seems like a great person.

Any of the Kortac women. Roze, Callisto and Stiletto are literally so cool, I'm swooning. Any female characters in CoD are underrepresented imo (if the fandom was able to get so much content out of König, who we literally know nothing about, I'm sure it'd be easy to do the same for the girls ^^)

The belittling way people write König's anxiety. Not a König fan/writer myself, but goodness even I understand that he is not all "uwu im just a shy little baby pls be nice to me". He's MEAN. When he feels cornered, you best believe he lashes out with the intent to do damage.

Those dub-con (or outright rape) interrogation fics. I cannot find it in me to read sexual assault, but the things I've seen in some of the tags are astoundingly terrible, especially taking into consideration that this is what women, civillian and military, are experiencing on what is by all accounts a daily basis.

The animal-hybrid content(?) I struggle to understand the appeal of it (as well as the logistics, but that's a different discussion) in itself, just as I hate the characterisation happening in those fics. One can hardly call it characterisation at that: it's literally just soulless anime-porn with the character's name scribbled over it as a placeholder. The implied size/age difference irks me deeply, too. The reader inserts in a lot of these feel strongly minor-coded.

The CoD characters as fathers. Thats it, that's the point. They would not have kids, period.

Fubara, Rivers APC clash over N144bn allocation spending

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, on Tuesday, challenged Governor Siminalayi Fubara to account for the N144.2bn federal allocation received by the state in the last five months, claiming that there was nothing on the ground to show for the funds. But defending the governor, the Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Joseph Johnson, accused the APC of playing politics. The Chairman of the state APC Caretaker Committee, Chief Tony Okocha, during a visit to the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule, questioned Fubara’s management of the state’s resources. Okocha said, “As a party in opposition in the state, we have received data of the sum received by the Rivers State Government from the Federal Allocation from June 22, 2023 to November 2023. “The Rt Hon. Speaker, it is our finding that a whooping sum of N144,291,667,791.1 has been received from the federal allocation under the governor. This amount is outside the Internally Generated Revenue of the state, which is put conservatively at N10bn every month. “We regret that this humongous amount has not translated to action in any way in terms of development in the state. What we see are heavily funded street processions and media-sponsored rallies in support of unnecessary political imbroglios. “Fifth columnist and crisis entrepreneurs feed fat from our commonwealth. As a party, we shall not hesitate to punish any member of our party who is in the cohort in this gross financial malfeasance of our dear Rivers State.” The APC leader urged the Assembly Speaker to keep a close watch on the governor, saying “And if you do nothing you are equally complicit.” Responding, the Assembly Speaker, Amaewhule, said the legislature would continue to make laws that would benefit the people while it would amend those harmful to the people. He stated, “Rest assured that the 10th Rivers State House of Assembly will not do anything outside the law. Whatever we do today is for the interest of the state so that when we are out, others coming after us will feel the impact of the service and legislation we offered to the Rivers people.” But in a swift reaction, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Johnson, insisted that the Fubara administration had been prudent and accountable. He said, “When we come to the accountability forum, the Rivers people will see what we have done and, of course, they know that we are on course. “Even though it is too early to assess this government, I’m sure we have since hit the ground running. “He (Okocha) forgot that we have given about N150bn legacy project for the Ring Road, which surpasses the N144bn he is talking about. We have paid 77 per cent of it. “We are doing 20, 000 hectres of land for housing units. “So you don’t just raise issues or mention figures without a proper understanding as to how government works. That’s why I said it’s his own imagination. “We have promoted civil servants who had not been promoted for over eight years. All those funds, if you calculated from June to November, it speaks volumes about what has entered. Our wage bill is N2.6bn just from the promotion of teachers alone. “So, he needs to go back to the drawing board and ask what and what has not been done and what has been done.” Read the full article

🚦What sort of endings do you prefer to write: ambiguous, bad, happily ever after, etc.?

it depends! if i’m writing something long and angsty, i want to give a Satisfying ending (not necessarily happy ever after, but satisfying) because i feel like if i made the character suffer for so long just for them to not bounce back at least a little, then the character hasn’t really progressed in a way that feels worthwhile in retrospect, i guess?

but if i’m writing something short and angsty, 9/10 times the ending is ambiguous or sad :D

👑 Do you like writing short fics or long fics?

i like writing long fics, but i have commitment issues so i usually forbid myself from doing multichapter stuff (recently broke this rule, but im a reformed woman and will complete this thing). thats also why 90% of my published work are oneshots or a collection of contained drabbles, and i’ve got a lot more long oneshots in store i fear

i do want to write more short stuff (<2.5-3k words) like i used to though. it would be nice to get through the graveyard of ideas in my head in a timely manner, but whenever i set out to write something short it turns out to be double the amount i expected :’)

The clean, soapy fresh-linen kind of scents are alright though I prefer more mild-smelling detergents. Floral is a no, those almost perfume-like ones are as well. Nothing specific that bothers me, but I am so particular about laundry detergent when it comes to my own laundry, mainly because a lot of it makes my skin act up. Freshly changed bedsheets are heaven in any case!

THIS IS SO SPECIFIC, but the spice cabinet at my parent's house. Every time I'm in that kitchen, I organise it because there is a very specific -- and might I add easy -- way all of the spices are organised in and no one cares to uphold it. I went to bake Chai cookies today and it took double the time because I also could not stomp down the urge to re-organise that damn cabinet.

In theory? Dogs licking your face is the ultimate display of love, and we do not deserve those perfect angels. In practice though? I'm ever so slightly allergic and my skin would hate me for the following year, so I kind of prefer to keep animals away from my face for health reasons 😭😭😭

Analog watches >>>>> smart watches and that is the hill I am willing to die on. Smart watches, and this might just be the neurodivergent in me, are so useless. Which is not to say they're useless for other people, just for me. I know I would not use any of the features other than reading the time off it, and they all look so awfully modern, which just is not my aesthetic.

Also I'm extremely biased because I own a very gorgeous brown leather and gold watch which has an antique world map for a dial AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

Ngl, it would probably be for the best? I bleach and dye it exclusively myself (we're rocking a wine red and this-is-close-enough-to-blond horizontal split dye situation rn), but trusting anyone with it is quite hard.

Haircuts are a maybe twice a year situation because my hair is extremely long, so they always charge extra (the amount of money they charge me feels unwarranted, why am i paying almost 70 euros for the smallest of trims-). They don't do a bad job by any means, I just hardly find it necessary to got to a salon.
