Behind the Fic: TW:OPT - Chapter 143 & 144

I fear this chapter for the reason I will discuss in this note.

Also this idiot forget that the previous chapter doesn’t have a note

WARNING: This will contain a bit of spoiler for the newest chapters of my fanfiction, Twisted-Wonderland: Our Precious Treasure.

Chapter 143: The Sigh of Jonah Argentum

This is just the first chapter and I made a miscalculation for the timeline

I always planned that the second semester starts on Monday, and yet completely forgot that Jonah would be with Crowley and Vil who go a day before, thus I had to make a chapter for that

I thought I can fill the two days in one chapter, but it was proven to be too long, thus it was cut into two

Jonah and Vil had their staredown here because originally I was supposed to happen in the Christmas Arc, but because of the Sudden Reunion Arc, the whole Jonah & Vil bonding moments were cuts

This marks the first appearance of RSA headmaster Ambrose, who supposed to appear at the end on Pomefiore Arc

And he doesn’t remember Jonah, stange...

Giving the ghost more story, like Barrett crush on a fairy (I forget why I named her Julia though)

Ghosts here are essentially like humans who with superpowers but can’t because they have unfinished business

If Jonah is magicless, then how come he can use a magical pen?

Chapter 144: Someday in the Celebration

This chapter is a nightmare because of two things: pacing and plot-point

The pacing problem kinda happened because of the 3rd person omniscient POV. Usually, I would focus on one person, even in 3rd person POV. The first part (the preparation in the Ramshackle Arc) was in Grim's POV, but I think along the way it became more jumbled, so I ended up with 3rd person omniscient. It's only at the final part that it becomes Jonah's POV with calling Sebek 'Zigvolt' and Jamil 'Senior Viper' since he hasn't got permission for first name basis.

Originally, there's going to be a snowball fight between the first years which ends with someone accidentally hitting Jamil on the face to reintroduce him. However, it was cut because I thought it would be too tiring to write

Grim getting a new robe, despite Jonah having one, is similar to Jonah getting a magical pen despite Grim already having a gem

The scene in the Heartslabyul is inspired by the causus race (or what I call ‘the dodo circle dance scene’) in Alice in Wonderland (1951) movie.

The dance is slightly inspired by the maypole dance from Midsommar.

The song, however, is not from the movie, but from the play, Alice in Wonderland Jr. titled “The Caucus Race”.

Originally, there will be a scene of Ace getting the prize of winning the dance, which is able to become the Heartslabyul King for the night. However, it becomes too long and the next scene is the sleepover (meaning Ace won't be there for the night), so it was cut

Originally, the sleepover scene is either going to be the gang playing twister or swordfight with newspaper, but it was cut because of time constrain.

Now, let's talk about the plot-point: Night Raven College 100th Anniversary Celebration. And the biggest reason why I fear this chapter.

It was inspired by the actual 1st anniversary and the mention of NRC losing 99 times to RSA.

This plan was first mentioned in Chapter 140 with the 'Development of Strategic Plans and Work Programs – Night Raven College' that Crowley had, along with Ambrose's arrival in Chapter 143 was to discuss the plan.

Also, being this is the 100th anniversary, something special needed to be done. This is why not only RSA is invited, but also Diamond Crown Academy ( @phoenix-manga ) and Three Wishes Institute ( @chessdaze ) . Why these two schools and not other fanschool? Because of the whole 'hero, villain, princess, sidekick' dynamic. The big four I dare to say.

Now, as the chapter had explained, there will be two programs: the tournament and the exchange students program.

The tournament is pretty self-explanatory. It will be a big tournament arc, with the competing students from four schools. The full post for my rambling is linked here.

I always wanted to have a tournament arc, so this is a long time coming. How it will go down? I haven't got a clue yet.

The exchange students program, meanwhile, originally serves as reasoning for me to try a new protagonist (yeah, Jonah probably wouldn't last long). I'll be borrowing one OC from DCA and TWI, along with Jake as RSA representative to study in NRC, meanwhile sending three other students to study in the other school.

Why do I want to go through this stressful plan? ... I don't know, because it sounds fun despite the stress.

But, now, why am I scared? Here's the thing: both of these plans will happen in the future. The Tournament Arc will happen in Book 2 while the Exchange Students happens in Year 2. And I'm announcing it now. The purpose of announcing it here is to set it up for the future.

You must be wondering 'so, what?' Here's another thing: You know me. You know who I write my fic. I've shown you my episode list. Then, you must know, if I'm going through this, then I'll need so much preparation.

I said many times that fanfiction is my training ground. This time, I'm practicing how to write a fun tournament arc. And the last time I tried to make mini-training arcs, it was tiring. Making a tournament arc (both for the actual thing and the preliminary) is not an easy job, and I'm honestly scared if I can pull it off. To balance the power level, to research on a good battle scene, to probably look for OC to borrow as extras, to plan the timeline and games.

For the exchange students, it's a practice to balance multiple main characters. in TW:OPT, Jonah is the main character, but in the future, there will be at least three main characters (the exchanged student). I don't want one OC to hog all the spotlight. To balance the role is a big thing. This also means that I'll probably have to borrow more OC for a long-term role. I have to keep the OCs in character but at the same time have a character development like how I handle my own OCs.

Both programs need dedication and commitment, and it's a tough job. And... I'm honestly scared.

But, can't go back now. So, wish me luck~

Ever since you arrive in this place, in this world. All you ever wanted was go home. Where you belong.

At your journey and adventure in this World, you meet many people, be friend many people and... fall for someone here... and have that someone return your feelings!

But nothin less the thought of returning back to your world still stayed firm in your mind.

You don't belong here after all.

This world is like a wonderful dream and dreams always end and we need to face our reality.

That's what you thought when you heard a good news you can able to return back home from Headmaster Crowley.

"Idia..." you tried to reasoned out to him but he start to hyperventilate in front of you, holding his head and shaking crazily mades you felt you shouldn't leave after all...

"Don't come near me you liar!" He screamed at you which was full of tears and sadness ok his eyes. "Everyone is the same... Everyone is the same..." he keep mumbling on and on and the fire of his hair start to burn the ground.

Blue fire burn around you but it never seems to hurt you for some reasons.

First point of view—

"It's the same... no matter what... people I care will leave me be." He cried and I felt like something crack and when I turn around I saw the ghost start to howl like bad spirits. They were like the wind and bad omen.

Feeling my skin start to feel cold even how fire beside me burn everything around me. Yet befit those I calm my hearts and walk toward his historical self on the floor. I felt a worse trying to force me away and I felt more colder and colder.

"Idia—"

I called out in worried and full of regret. I'm such bad person...

How can I leave if I well made someone suffer on my stead?

I'm such a selfish person!

And I can't help but hate it.

Third.

Why do people have to leave me?

Is it the curse?

Is this the reason the people I care won't stay?

That I'll stay alone and lonely?

He felt his heart corrupted by blot yet when he was about to taken over by darkness a warm hand rub his tears away. Warmth surrounded him as hands circle around his neck and hugged his blot tinted body.

"I'm sorry Idia... I won't leave if it means that I won't return home." The person who have stolen his heart says as tears fall from hers while she smiled. "I won't leave till you want me too... I sorry I become selfish..."

"Yuu..." He mumble before something snap inside of him when a bottle of liqued fall from the sky and drip all over him. His blue hair turn red before it turn complete black.

"Wont ever leave me till I sick of you?" His voice seems like a curious child asking innocently.

No one was able to reach them as the ghost have snap everyone life strings out of their body and all of the Students bodies lie around the campus.

Except for three people was alive

"Yes..." she never notice what have become of him. "Humans live shorter life's than I do—" He mumble which made Yuu confuse by why he said that.

"That's why your still leaving me if your human... don't worry Yuu-Chan. Since you promise—" there's no trace of self conscious Idia can be seen as insanity glaze his eyes. "We'll be together for

long

Time~"

Then with tinted sharp nails he take out her heart/soul out. She froze and she was about died on the spot yet as if she dont even bother by this she hold his cheeks one last time after realizing what he did.

"I-Idia..." then her eyes light fade Like her life. Taking the shell of the human body of Yuu and the heart/ soul that well be the core of her new body.

He might not have able to totally revive his brother long time ago—but that doesn't mean he can't with her.

After all want he know as the a famous genius inventor?

And he make sure everyone well think she's left back to her world as he make her new body fit to stay with him for a long time...

Uncountable years later—>

"I...dia...?"

"Your finally awake... now we'll never be apart to mater what..."

He don't understand how he was willing to wait how many years for her to adjust in her new form that he made just for her.

Watching her sleep and making sure she'll be ok. What makes him go through all this—she's going to wake up and be with him after all.

No one did not notice of her at all. Even so a few did they never spoke it to anyone.

After all this place is a school of villain in making...

Do you think this just what it look like?

Maybe people might think that they not Villain.

But can you really tell if your being fooled by their sheep cloths?
