Haikyuu Zombie Apocalypse HCs <Karasuno 1st Yrs>
Warnings: zombies, gore, death, death of the dead
Author’s note: Soooo this one took a while. I’ve been procrastinating and all that garbage. Please, if one person could give me feedback or request that i do this for another team i would be glad to do so! It would take a little while. But please, enjoy!

Hinata
Hinata was with Kageyama and Yachi practicing in the gym when they got Daichis phone call
He immediately got nauseous
He literally threw up when he heard some strange noises outside the gym
It was just a dog that Kageyama shooed away
But it was still scary
It was too dangerous for him to go home, because of the distance
He called home to make sure the rest of his family was safe
Called every day
They all went to Asahi’s
On the way there they ran into Ennoshita, who was running from a zombie
Hinata FREAKED OUT and ended up hiding behind Kageyama
The zombie was dripping blood from it’s left arm
Cue the nausea again
After the zombie was taken care of, they made it safely to Asahi’s.
Hinata prefered to stay inside, but Kageyama made him do some work outside with him a few times
Eventually he got used to the zombies, though he never killed them
Poor bby was still too scared to kill them
Prefered to jump around it until someone else killed it
He did carry a little pocket knife on him for emergencies, per Sugas request
Kageyama
When they all got Daichis call he stayed calm
If anything, he got extremely serious and defensive
Tried to calm down Hinata and Yachi
After shooing away the dog outside the gym, they headed straight to Asahi’s
Again, He tried his best to keep the others calm
When they found Ennoshita running from a zombie, Kageyama hesitated
He picked up a large rock from the ground
He threw it straight at the zombies face
He threw it HARD
Was shocked he managed to kill it
When they made it to Asahi’s, he immediately kept watch for zombies
Kageyama ended up sneaking out one night with Tanaka and Nishinoya
He only did this because he was bored and they bet he wouldn’t do it
They raided a gun store
let me say that again: THEY RAIDED A GUN STORE
They all got heavily scolded
But kags found a automatic rifle that he thought looked ‘cool’
He was an amazing shot
He’d act calm and collected in the apocalypse, but in reality, he’d be kinda numb

He and Yamaguchi were chilling out in his room when his brother storms in saying there’s been a zombie outbreak and that he and their mother would be heading to a place near a college campus
Tsukki gave him a blank stare and refused to believe him
Until he got Daichis call and checked the news
He was in shock
Yamaguchi convinced him to stay with the rest of the team
Tsukki still hated the idea of being near them all the time
After he had packed what he wanted, they headed out
They made it to Asahi’s without issues
The first thing he did when they made it there was sit down and read a book in the living room
Suga arrived and slapped his shoulder for being lazy
Then he had to get up and help set up barricades and other defenses
Then Noya got tackled by a zombie
Tsukki simply kicked it off him and rammed a metal fencepost into it’s face
“It reminded me of someone i hate so i stabbed it”
Honestly he probably doesn’t care what happens in the apocalypse as long as it doesn’t directly affect his well-being
If it did, he would get Salty
He liked using guns with silencers because 1) he didn’t have to move around as much and 2) it was quieter and easier
He liked sitting on lookout and reading a book so no one would disturb him
He called his brother a few times, but the cell phones suddenly went down after a few weeks
He got over the apocalypse really quickly
Yamaguchi
He probably actually believed Tsukkis brother
When Tsukki found out the apocalypse was actually happening Yamaguchi became extremely freightened
After packing the stuff they needed, he handed Tsukki a bread knife from the kitchen
On the way there he hid behind Tsukki and frantically watched for zombies
When they arrived, he asked Daichi how he could help
Was tasked with setting up sleeping places for everyone
He was a bit too scared to leave the house for a while
Daichi encouraged him to leave the house to watch for the dead
This was a week or so into the apocalypse
A couple corpses were walking up the road
Yamaguchi called for someone to take care of them
Daichi killed them
He didn’t like the apocalypse and prefered to stay in a safe, secure place
Like most, he carried a knife, but he also had a decent dagger
He learned how to shoot a gun, but preferred not to
He hated the apocalypse, and though he he could kill the zombies, he remained intimidated by them
Yachi
Yachis reaction was very similar to hinatas.
She got sick
She was absolutely terrified of the apocalypse
She called her mother, who didn’t answer, so she became even more terrified
When the dog was out side the gym, she squealed and ran to hide behind kageyama, who grumbled
When they left the gym, she was so terrified she couldn’t stop turning about and looking around
The zombie encounter was another wave of fear and paranoia
She was not ok until she got to Asahi’s, where she immediately hid in the attic
Daichi had to calmly talk her down, and eventually she begun to relax
She never left the house, and when Kiyoko arrived a week or so into the apocalypse, she began to slowly adjust
She hated it, but she carried a knife at her hip
She never used it
She chose to help with a garden, cooking, and other things rather than worry about zombies
This might change, because everyone is going to have to kill a zombie eventually

This character is on the clutzy and weak side (though monstrously endurant), highly intelligent and middling in education and social standing.
Colonel Jensen was raised in a martial arts family that didn’t care about ideas like ‘aptitude’ or ‘talent’ for their arts. The fine art of unarmed combat was pounded into his flesh, like it or not, and nigh-infinite beatings made him so tough he learned to just outlast his foes. His high level of skill got him assigned to scout duties, where he picked up his shooting skills and his ability to observe the enemy and report what he saw - he was an incredible observer, due to his high intellect. Repeated successes brought him promotion.
He would like a safer job but all he has ever been trained to do is to hit things, so he’s gone into becoming a traveller. Ideally, he can save up and finally go to college and learn some safer skills down the road.

Stanislaw Cruz grew up poor, developing his strength to stay safe on the streets, though he was a klutz and basically gets tired after a brisk walk across his apartment. But he was also *very smart*, smart enough to pick up skills on his own which let him qualify for a berth on a merchant ship. Goodbye slums, hello physical labor. But he worked hard and earned a promotion to fourth officer and his tendency to get tired all the time, combined with being about one inch above a murderhobo in social status meant he never got past basically heading up a crew of space janitors.
He’s spent so much time cleaning the outside of ships that he mastered the use of Vacc Suits and so much time doing odd jobs that he became a jack of all trades.
He can’t take any more scrubbing and has become a traveller in hopes of a big score. His ‘pike’ is actually a broom with a knife duct-taped onto the end of it. The pistol is real but only the gods knew if he’ll ever hit anything with it, given he’s... a big klutz.

Being decently intelligent and highly educated and socially acceptable, he did all sorts of work, from electronic repair to being a steward to manning the guns in emergencies.
But now he’s ready, he thinks, to try and go for a big score so he can follow his life long dream of eight hour naps.

He’s an amazing shot with a carbine but the halbard... he learned but he’s terrible. Too proud to not keep it, though.
He spent a bunch of time floating around, outside ships and eventually was moved to fixing things when someone finally realized his real talents.
Now he’s retired, with a nice pension but he’s feeling restless, like he wants some kind of adventure.

at the moment i don’t have anything up on jack’s character ( like stats, etc ) because i’m ngl i sent my account in and immediately fell asleep until like.. now? at 12-1am hgfjdks buuuut here’s a run down of the basics. trigger warnings: drugs mention, violence mention, my muse is a survivor of CSA and i’m briefly going to mention that at some point in this.
jackson knight. you’ll know him as jack and if you’re real close to him, maybe some variation of jacky -- but a word to the wise, i wouldn’t test how close you are with him by trying that nickname out. it really ticks him off when it’s out of the wrong mouth.
he’s twenty-eight years old and he’s always lived in morris, probably always will too tbh?? he’s a bartender at some ( how i imagine it, anyways ) dinky little pub that is frequented mostly by like, sketchy people & it’s no coincidence he works there because i’m pretty sure that’s where his little gang operates out of. i don’t think they’re really a proper gang, for the record.. every time i try to picture one in this small town setting i just come up thinking of like 3 dudes, maybe a mobster from 1930 ( kudos to sami on that one ), and a one eyed squirrel named hank, idk, idk.
in all seriousness though whatever the gang is, probably like 20-30 people npc or otherwise, i imagine it’s where most of the drugs circulate in this place and jack’s probably a muse yours would hit up for some bud. he’s been at it since he was literally thirteen years old and in a town as small as this, i really doubt that’s gone unnoticed reputation wise.

backing up a little bit though and delving into his history a bit is pretty much a necessity to understanding who jack is as a character though because here’s the thing -- had things been a little different when he was young, he wouldn’t have gone down the path he did. but the facts are this: he was thirteen, his little brother noah was only nine, and their single mother could barely keep a roof over their heads, let alone keep up with noah’s hospital bills / medical expenses. you see, noah was -- and is -- a really sick guy, he has CVID and things were real tough growing up. jack took it upon himself to start bringing in money, but there isn’t a whole lot a thirteen year old kid can do that is yknow.. legal. so he meets a guy named david -- an npc who’s a father figure of sorts -- and starts getting involved in some heavy shit. i won’t go into detail but this is important to know: he didn’t do anything he didn’t have to, whether or protect himself or someone else... in particular, noah. that kid is his fuckin’ world.
( csa mention coming up ) so, backing up further, i really just need to emphasize that jack has been protecting his brother for their entire lives -- in some ways noah knows, and in some that he doesn’t. as far as his mom and noah know, their dad just left, no word, no explanation, but to get right to the point, he had been abusing jack between the ages of 5-7. he stopped when he was around eight, but then when jack noticed him talking to his younger brother more and in an effort to make sure the same never happened to him, he confronted his dad and basically gave him an ultimatum ( while holding his dad’s own rifle at him, little jack was playing no games honestly ): leave and don’t come back, or i’ll tell and shoot you & that was just that. this is something that only jack knows to this day and it’s a very genuinely bad case of repressed trauma, but he simply isn’t the type of person who would seek help. it does affect him a lot, via nightmares and certain other distrust in relationships etc, as trauma will do to a person. character development wise, one of my goals is definitely to have him get some help / work through those issues but due to the nature of them, it’ll be kept extremely vague and heavily tagged if it even remotely comes up. ( csa tw end. )
when he was young, he missed a lot of school -- i mean, a lot of the time he was skipping to work, and even more often he’d be taking care of his brother at home. by the time he hits 10th grade, he drops out. to this day he remains without a g.e.d or anything of the sort, but i think it would be an interesting plot point if he decided to get it finally?? see, i picture him and his now 24 yr old brother live in an 2 bedroom apartment together (maybe one day i’ll bring him too~) but now that noah’s grown up, he doesn’t need jack so much and all this time, he wasn’t really living for himself, you know? he doesn’t have the slightest clue what to do with himself if hes not providing for / protecting someone.

despite the whole rough, tough guy thing he’s got going on, jack’s a pretty mellow guy in most circumstances? i mean, he’s quiet. he keeps to himself and abides to that whole “only what i gotta do” when it comes to talking to people too. he’s a little dumb honestly but the guy has a 9th grade education at best go easy on him
he had to grow up real fast
he’s really good with kids & anytime he sees them involved in shit they shouldn't be, getting them safe is his number 1 priority... kids are like, his soft spot i guess?? like if you hurt kids ur dead to him
honestly if not for the whole ‘been in a gang since 13 and probably-killed-a-man′ thing hes really ?? not that bad a guy like i keep laughing every time i say that but what can i say man like his moral alignment is probably chaotic good
he does have two main interests: horror & poetry?? he wouldnt be caught dead admitting the latter but fun fact! his brother noah is a horror comic book author that goes by n.K and several of jacks poems / riddles have been featured in his books.

My younger brother who's only 20 years old has a host of serious illnesses: crohn's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, and a few more conditions that has constantly kept him sick for a good portion of his childhood. Hey everyone, I am a 16 year old who runs a photography business in Nashville, TN. I have been saving up for a car for the last 7 years, originally for a BMW M3 or Audi S5. I was told that if I added my home owners insurance to their company that I would save a bundle on both the auto and the homeowner policy. At the time, I had the same homeowner company for over 25 years and was happy with my policy but they looked at the policy and said they could offer me the same coverage at the same price. So, of course, I switched and admittedly never looked at the policy until I had a recent claim. Now, I find that the policy that I was switched to was NOT the same coverage I had at...not even close.
