too many of you guys think nico is the loser and not lewis for letting the divorce go on for so long. like they're both losers about each other. emotionally constipated idiots who can't talk about their toxic homoerotic friendship that imploded on itself like 8 years ago and are now making it everyone else's problem. yeah nico's on television or in beer gardens talking about lewis all the time but like every other month some reporter is like "lewis, what's your favorite moment in your career?" and lewis no hesitation is like "oh man, karting, y'know? everything was simpler then" and then spends another six months skirting around nico's name. like this whole thing they're doing in the media isn't some kinda extended foreplay for them. they're both still pressing on the bruise to make sure it's still there!!! every few months, they're literally just asking on public television, does it still hurt for you like it does for me? and like clockwork, someone will release new information about them or one of them will say something about each other (in my heart, he's still my best friend/yes... and teammate) and the answer will remain the same, yes, of course, always.

if any of you are still feeling weird about that infamous interview, here is what alex said about it (and why that ashley girl doesn't like him). i really want to point out that what alex says here is the exact same thing us, miles fans have been saying since forever. so, if you are a fan of alex, but throw shit at miles, just remember that your favourite also supports him. and maybe think twice before starting arguments with miles fans and keep in mind that alex has the same opinion about it all.

Alongside Arctic Monkeys, Turner has a long-term side-project called The Last Shadow Puppets with his best friend, the Birkenhead singer-songwriter Miles Kane. During the promotion for their last album, the two did an interview with a female journalist from the music webzine Spin. Turner was being his usual unforthcoming self, so Kane attempted to break the ice with some groan-inducing banter. This included inviting the journalist up to his hotel room when she asked what he was doing after the interview, which, in hindsight, was pretty stupid (he realised as much the next day and emailed her to say sorry). The result, though, was a lengthy op-ed calling out Kane’s unprofessionalism and the misogyny of the music industry at large. Personally, I found some of her complaints against him a tad flimsy — holding eye contact for too long, high-fiving her, “yanking” her in “for a not entirely consensual kiss on the cheek” as she said goodbye, and not least the idea that interviewing a rock star is ever supposed to be an exercise in professionalism. What did Turner make of it all? He sighs. “I think he made a joke he shouldn’t have made and realised he had misjudged the situation.” I thought it was a bit OTT, I tell him. “Yeah, I’m not sure it was deserving of that response honestly, but you just can’t make a joke like that.”

*Discussion of Bug Fables spoilers regarding Leif below*

I can’t get over how no one in the main party makes any comment toward the fact that Leif apparently had a child (or multiple) that he never met or possibly even knew about, and that if he did know about their existence then he never mentions it. Like surely if they were born before he died he would’ve brought them up at some point, even just as an off-handed comment, because that seems like a pretty significant thing?? I just find it hard to believe the gang visited the moth family house and Leif wouldn’t at some point have been like, “Ah, yes, we never told you guys about our son Scrimblo.” Especially considering he brings up his wife a few different times (and one of those is just a comment to himself). So I have to assume he didn’t know. At first, I thought maybe the moth family was intended to just be Muse’s descendants… But I’m pretty sure the game says they’re Leif’s.

That being said, I wonder if Leif’s just not at all surprised to hear he had a kid he never met because that’s just one of those bug things. This may be going into cursed territory, so sorry about that, but Lepidoptera store sperm and use it to fertilize eggs at their own convenience after mating. So perhaps, as a bug, it would be totally reasonable to find out you had post-mortem descendants and be like “Oh, well of course.”
