#i love yoo spoilers#(this is about ep 212)#like we're supposed to read that and then just go on with our day????#there is so much to unpack here .#first of all the art and storytelling. wow. WOW. miss quimchee you've outdone yourself#second of all... can nol catch a break. can nol PLEASE catch a break <//3#to think that after all this he's still gonna have to go to jail once he recovers... if he recovers...#third of all kousuke. now look i feel for kousuke to some extent bc i understand why he is the way he is#but that's an explanation of his behavior and not an excuse#when. WHEN. is he finally gonna start taking responsibility for his actions?#'it was an accident!'#dude you punched your brother so hard he fell from the second floor onto a glass table#then pushed him down the stairs then shoved him into the ground possibly causing him a head injury#and making the glass shards from the table he fell on cut into his neck#what about it is an accident :|#YOU🫵 did that. there's blood on your hands.#i swear if he starts being like 'he provoked me so this is his fault and i'm innocent' again i will do something drastic#and the last panel resembling the painting of ivan the terrible holding his son... quimcheeeeeeeeeee#i wonder if this will be the turning point for the father if it's not too late...#bc intentional or not he is in a lot of ways the main reason for this tragedy#so maybe this will be something like a wakeup call for him#but who knows we don't even know that much about him (yet)#and the memory flashback/the entire dialogue... well. it's good to hear kousuke finally say it#tho the reasoning 'i hate you for existing and for resembling father more than i do so i do everything to distinguish your light' is. um. 😶#i don't even have the words for it#it definitely doesn't justify the years of abuse of a little kid who's never done anything to harm you that's for sure#and nol is valid for calling him out on it and not forgiving him#anyways there's a lot to say about kousuke he might be an unpleasant character but he's probably also the most complex and interesting one#i'm gonna go think about this chapter for the rest of the day i guess

#it's the theme music which makes sense that it usually plays at the end of episodes but GOD IT'S SO FUNNY#it playing during the pw 212 scene reminds me of like. degrassi. and how at the end of the eps no matter WHAT the tone was#they would freeze frame on the last show and an instrumental version of the super upbeat theme song would play#i distinctly remember watching the ep where wheels finds out his parents are dead and for ONCE they don't play the music#and like clearly they knew it would ruin the moment but they STILL PLAY IT#anyway that's what it reminds me of sorry for the tangent#asked and answered#anonymous

wanted to share some ideas about the future s2 eps
Okay so we already know 6
.207: We know it will feature mammon. I think it'll be an ep with more fizzarolli backstory, how he got hired, meeting mammon and ozzie etc, plus some Blitz stuff.
.208: Maybe a stolas, octavia, or loona episode since they're the characters that give the most Moon vibes. And full moons have to do wtth wolves so maybe a loona and octavia Girl trip ep?
.209: I have no clue. The emoji makes me think of Beezulbub, but I don't think she'll be appearing again yet. So other than that, it might be an episode about apologies? I actually got nothing for this one haha.
.210: again no clue. I've seen people have the idea of a haunted house job for IMP, and how possibly sinners get to hell or something? Again no idea.
.211: the emoji wants me to think of Satanas, the sin of Wrath. Maybe an episode with him/her? But idk how well that would fit in with "mastermind". But it might make sense since S1 introduced two sins, so S2 might as well. (If this is true, than it'll probaly mean we'll get Levithan, sin of envy, and Belphegor, the sin of sloth, in s3)
.212: Probaly a hell version of Christmas. Interesting but no clue actually other than that.

Hello Drewds! There were not one but two mentions of Ace in public forums in quick succession, so I felt I had to post like it was old times and Nancy Drew was still a going concern… 😭
But onto happier things. First up, our favorite Nancy Drew writer Jen Vestuto commented on the latest (amazing) gif from @nancydrewgifs (& ty to @midnightsnace for reposting):
Such a great moment in a classic episode filled with amazing, hilarious, and touching moments. And this improv was such an Alex (and Ace) move. Ace dadding the Dads is everything, and he did a bang-up job.
Onto TVLine and an article on 30 TV characters with mysterious names. Note the usage of the phrase ‘Nancy’s boyfriend’ 🥺:
This was one of my favorite touches in the series finale (which I happen to love). That glimpse of Ace’s initials was enough confirmation for me that he’s always been Ace Hardy. On top of that, EP Larry Teng all but confirmed it to TV Line when he told them he knew about Ace’s name from “day one, episode one.”
Honestly, ‘Trail of the Missing Witness’ (212, the Grant episode) was really enough confirmation for me—it felt like a ‘Hardy Boys featuring Nancy Drew’ episode to me. Actually, this episode was also written by Jen Vestuto and Melissa Marlette. Coincidence?
Anyway, it was nice to see these acknowledgements of a fan favorite character in one of the best shows that was cancelled too soon. The show thankfully lives on in 62 episodes, fanfics, art, gifs, and fanvids.
So, was the final shot enough evidence to confirm Ace is a Hardy Boy? Also, Larry, what about that Nancy Drew movie? 🍿
