For non Chinese who are not familiar with Chinese New Year event.
What were usually served:
Lots and lots of oranges. Orange fruit symbolizes prosperity, bringing good luck and happiness.
Haw flakes. Sweets made from Chinese Hawthorn fruit. They are actually traditional Chinese medicine disguised as sweets because they have vitamin C and antioxidants.
Noodles. Noodles symbolize long life.

So bought these haw flakes by an Asian food shop by my mall. Always saw videos of them saying its so nice and... its pretty good. Nothing flavour exploding but has a faint fruity taste. Best describe it like eating musk sweets like its just a nice sweet to munch on. Ate everything already haha and will buy more they very addictive and honesty they are lovely study snacks, the stress is real 😅. Also looking now my hand is so pale 🤣🤣🤣.

I think Baizhu and Sucrose should meet.
Dr. “everyone says my medicine tastes too bitter” Baizhu and Alchemist “I have an obsession with increasing the sweetness capacity of Sweet Flowers” Sucrose.
Inspired by the Haw Flakes those Chinese doctors give you to take with their bitter herbal concoctions, but Sucrose is the supplier, because she can pack ultra dense high fructose sweet flower powder into small flakes because of the absurdly high yields she has on her Sweet Flowers. Bubu Pharmacy, already well respected, shoots up in popularity with everyone because of the new Bitterness Mitigation treat they offer for Dr. Bai’s most foul-tasting medicines. In turn, Baizhu negotiates, in Liyuen fashion, a tidy contract with his supplier, and Sucrose now has so much extra funding for her experiments, gosh, she doesn’t even have to siphon funds from Mondstadt’s taxpayers anymore, she can devote her full attention to Sweet Flower Optimisation without worrying about her productivity in alchemical pursuits for the average citizen.
When word of this “Sucrose Sweet” gets around via Liyue, the trading port of Teyvat, suddenly everyone in and around Teyvat wants to buy from her (it even gets the attention of the Abyss Order, somehow). Akademiya scholars come to study her sweet flower specimens. Jean bans the sweet in Mondstadt because holy shit Sucrose, every child with unrestricted access to these is going to get tooth decay…
and then Sucrose, via her (completely natural!) study of bones, finds a way to make the sweet flowers non-destructive to the teeth (let’s pretend some alchemical magic goes on). Sucrose proceeds to completely outclass her mentor and rivals Lord Sangemah Bay’s wealth in revenue from selling really sweet candy. She does in fact get an offer from Dori to buy the rights to the product, but Albedo helps her put her foot down… and then Alice hears about this from Klee and begins her own interference, and suddenly Sucrose’s life is so radically different that she realises she has the capital and power to do whatever she wants.
Hire Kaveh (constellation Paradisea), pride of the Kshahrewar, and be able to fund and delegate work to Amurta students and volunteers, focusing on all the most important work herself…
Paradise is finally within reach.

Its either some songs im obsessing over or video essays. Currently I'm going through Patrick Kelly's medical video essay and ugh I really love his antibiotic series 😩💖

I actually answered this previously before but like mostly just from cartoons from 00s era and a few artist I like such as Jeluto and also I didnt mention this in the prev ask because I forgor but I referred to Brujo Ari a lot when I draw lately and its totally the reasoning why I indulge in this Highschool AU im doing rn lol
21. what do you think your artstyle would taste like?
Hmmm for me its just depends on how I render it so im just gonna attach few pics and describe the flavor lol:
Preserved orange peel. Sour, sweet and bitter. Really good btw I ate them whenever I have to travel by plane and deal with motion sickness
Haw flakes. Sweet and sour. The sharp edge kinda feels sour to me but also since I only draw cute stuff its sweet to me hhh
Crysanthemum tea. Maybe its because I like to add flowers whenever I render something in this style but like the smell reminds me immediately of crysanthemum tea.

Lmao this is so apt.
Heck yeah Nora gets injured often, but not in the way you'd expect. Her job does get kind of risky from time to time, but a majority of her injuries come from not being careful at all. She usually is - part of the reason why she walked away from a cult without any serious permanent injury, but in the times she isn't, 70% of her missteps hit her in the form of scratches, wounds, bruises and so on.
She has a lot of scars on her arms and face and legs. Not so noticeable on her face since she usually covers it up with makeup or something (except for the scar across her eye). Some of them are work-related injuries, some are kitchen injuries. Since she cooks for herself and she does it very quickly, she mishandles a lot of knives, ends up bruising her fingers a lot more than usual. Those are pretty much her only "sources" (?) of injuries. She's a lot more careful now.

Gym and physics. Gym because she did soccer and her soccer team coach was her gym teacher as well. Physics because it was the only subject where the teacher didn't make her feel stupid in class. The others made her "feel" different in terms of her past record, her past in generaland always made her feel like she was below in intelligence than the other kids. Her physics teacher in high school did not do that. Instead he actually helped her develop an interest in her subject through her interest in sports and throwing things at people.
Fun fact: I hc Nora also did AP physics and did a presentation on the Magnus Effect by kicking soccer balls and demonstrating its aerodynamics thanks to her physics teacher's encouragement. It was one of those anomalies where she was good in putting things in practice than stuffing her head with lots of theory and calculations and putting it in paper. Luckily her teacher recognized that and gave her extra projects to do to help her get her credits. (pleaase ask me about Nora's projects lmao)
Part of the reason why she's good at throwing things now. Sure, physics doesn't make you good at throwing things, but it helps you understand the Throw more critically. It helps Nora immensely with her detective work - analyzing gun ranges from bullet wounds and impact, broken glasses and so on.

Very specific stuff, unlike her lunch which hasn't changed since college:
Black sesame cereal or literally any cereal of any kind (she will never eat cereal as breakfast, only consume it raw or eat it with leftover milk)
Fruit of some kind - bananas, lychees, so on so forth. It's mostly just fruit in her house that seems to be rotting away and she needs to eat them before they go bad.
Haw flakes - they're sugary little treats that she'll consume by the metric ton as a kid and will do so as an adult.
Senbei - they're these rice crackers and she usually pairs it up with tea or yoghurt.
Latiao - they're these spicy chewy wheat snacks which she swears by. Pretty much anything that's "snacky" she's bound to enjoy.
Nora doesn't go for anything particularly heavy as a snack, like a sandwich and likes the aspect of snacking more than what she's actually eating. She's more inclined to finish her work that way late into the night and then go home (she doesn't bring work home), so yes, of course she has haw flakes, those mini cereal boxes at work and brings packed fruit in a Tupperware.
