“"! = The Exclamation Mark or 'Bang' Symbol -- refers to a short form for expressing the presence of a particular trait or defining quality of a character in a story. One which is usually not part of the original canon characterization, or is at least an extreme interpretation of the canon characterization. Most often written in the format of trait first and character's name last, with the symbol in between. (For example: "Smart!Jack" in Stargate: SG-1, indicating that the character of Jack O'Neill is secretly smarter than he pretends to be.) The compact format of [trait]![character's name] manages to quickly and clearly describe to the reader an accurate depiction of the author's choice in characterization before they even read the story."

EDIT AGAIN: Found even more. There seem to be conflicted views on the origins of this, but this one at least explicitly addresses them:

EDIT: I just found this additional explanation from a Tumblr post, makes sense!
It’s originally from C/C++ code. If you have a boolean variable that’s true or false and you put a ! in front of it, it just flips the value. If the variable is X and X is true, then !X is false. So it’s basically saying the character is the variable, ! activates a different version of the variable, and the identifier at the front tells you what version of the variable it is.”

I have been keeping this a secret for a while and it makes my heart full to finally share it with you guys 🥹🤍 it is kinda of a spoiler but you guys deserve the treat! I really hope you love it, and as always come talk to me about what you thought about this
April 2023
Harry. London, England. 4:30 PM
I sat down on the bench waiting for a certain car to appear, I took a moment to take a deep breath trying to still process everything that had gone down in the last hours. I opened my eyes and sat up straighter, and just a few moments later the van I was waiting for appeared, I smiled and waved while making my way to the back of the car where my baby was sitting.
As soon as I opened the door and she realized it was me, she smiled before speaking up, “Dada!”, I smiled and reached for the baby settled in her car seat, I smiled and kissed her temple and cheek while she played with my necklace, when I turned to look at Glenne, who had just gotten out of the she had a soft smile and some tears on her eyes, I smiled and pulled her into a side hug, mindful of the bump that was slowly starting to grow.
She sniffled before speaking up, “I’m sorry, these damn hormones are keeping me crazy”, I laughed a little, “Hey, it’s okay, I understand perfectly”, she nodded and squeezed a little before smiling at Pippa and running a hand through her curls before turning to look back at me and whispering.
“How are they?”, I smiled, “They’re so good, resting and waiting for this special someone to arrive”, she smiled and nodded, “Then we’ll be on our way, please call us of you need anything okay?”, I nodded, and we hugged before Jeff helped her into the car and handed me the diaper bag, and after pulling me into a hug he made his way to the driving seat, we waved them off and made our way into the hospital.
Once inside we went up the elevator and once we arrived at the correct floor we entered the room my loves were staying at, I removed her shoes and kissed her cheeks, “Hi baby, oh I missed you so much”, she smiled and blew some raspberries at me before pulling her binkie to her lips; we walked to the little couch and I settled her there, she pulled her binkie out before she started talking.
“Dada! Nanas!”, I smiled and grabbed the banana sitting on the coffee table and made my way to sit with her, “Yeah baby, I have a banana here for you my love”, she smiled and while she ate her snack, we started singing some nursery rhymes; once she was done, I cleaned her hands and face.
I changed her nappy and once she was all clean I disinfected her hands for good measure, I knocked the closed door, waited a few seconds until a heard a faint ‘come in’, I opened the door and smiled at my girl sitting on the bed and the tiny baby resting in the little baby nest beside her.
As soon as Pippa spotter her mum she started jumping a little in my arms while screeching, “Mama! mama!”, Y/N smiled and reached for her, I settled into her arms before speaking up, “Gentle baby, mumma needs a lot of love”, Pippa settled into her arms and started playing with her top while Y/N kissed her head multiple times, and I sat down by her folded legs.
After a few moments a tiny whimper caught Pippa’s attention and she turned to see who or what was nestled next to her mum, we both turned to look at each other and smiled, I grabbed Pippa and settled her into my lap while Y/N reached in for the baby, she shushed the baby’s whimpers before settling the baby in her arms.
I kissed Pippa’s head and bounced her a little before whispering, “Who’s that Pip? Who does mumma have in her arms huh?”, we could see curiosity mixed with a little hesitancy in her face while she burrowed deeper into my arms while also making sure she could peak at the baby, Y/N smiled before quietly speaking up.
“Pip, look at the baby, what do you think huh?”, Y/N brought the baby closer to her and Pippa ran her hands down the baby’s covered torso, Y/n sniffled before continuing to speak, “Oh you’re so soft and the sweetest baby thank you”.
Pippa then turned to look at us hoping for some validation and we both smiled and nodded before she returned to touch the baby softly, Y/N smiled and whispered, “That’s your little sister Pip, what do you think huh?”, it appeared to us that she understood because we could see a smile from behind her binkie.
I sniffled while I watched the love of my life and tiny darlings all share a moment together, it was still surreal to think that the little girl nestled in Y/N’s arms had been in her belly just 24 hours ago, I cleared my throat and spoke up, “You have to be so soft with her baby because she is tiny huh? But soon she will be as big as you! And you two will be the best of friends”
I kissed the three of her forehead’s before I whispered, “I love you, the three of you, I really couldn’t imagine my life without you three here”, Y/N sniffled and whispered, “I love you too, I love my girls so much too”, she reached in for Pippa and I helped her settle in the bed with the two of them, I smiled before asking her, “Are you ready for this new adventure?”, she kissed Pippa’s forehead before nodding and speaking up, “So ready, as long as it is with you my heart”
I took a picture and smiled, sending it to a group chat before turning my phone off and settling to cuddle my new family.

Spotter Meerkat Family
Mother - Beatrix Spotter
Brother - Alfie Spotter
Sister - Gail Spotter
Father - Harry Spotter

Father Harry Spotter is the most alert and watchful – and it’s a good job too as he has to check that there are no wildfires in the forest. As this vital role demands his total concentration, the other Sylvanians have learnt not to take it personally if Harry ignores them completely!
Mother Beatrix Spotter on the other hand is always warm and friendly. Just like Rose Timbertop she loves children and is often babysitting as many as twenty at a time. She bakes them fairy cakes and reads them fairy stories – and she counts them every fifteen minutes to make sure they’re all still there!
Brother Alfie Spotter always has his head in a book. He often gets so absorbed in one of his adventure stories that he regularly forgets what day it is and has been known to turn up for school on a Saturday!
Sister Gail Spotter would much rather go for a long walk in the Sylvanian forest than read a book. She particularly enjoys strolling along by the river and picking wild flowers for her mother.

Three days later, he could still hear screaming.
He'd been in explosions before, and seen men wounded before, and had blood on his hands before, but somehow, it was different, here, in the woods above Foy. In the silence, and the stillness, Dick could still hear Harry screaming.
They all knew that fire was a terrible idea - had discussed it, routinely and regularly, with the men, talking about artillery spotters and smoke and the possibility of burns that Doc Roe would be unable to treat. It felt like it was Dick’s fault, what had happened - if he'd spoken up sooner, if he'd made Harry put the fire out when he'd first seen it instead of settling in to warm his hands, if he'd just spoken up a little sooner, then maybe -

Luke came back to Brad and Chris after conducting reconnaissance on the new guy.
Chris so called it.
He was all the same age, from Massachusetts, also an underwear model like Brad and Chris, and in the middle of a shoot as a body double for Macho Man the movie. He was playing the construction worker for the stripper scenes as the actor can’t keep his weight in check. Of all things, his name was Harry.
Brad then said he thought it would be almost funny if Harry’s last name was Lucille or Spotter.

I fear that after today Harry might still be in sub space for the DWD premiere. Bussy won’t be the same as it was, I hope he has the good pills within a reach of the hand, and none of his joints will pop when they get intimate, and even if it does, he will take his medicine since he’s not a spotter, bless him.
