🍍 What kind of AUs do you like? Are there any AUs you hate or just generally have beef with?

I prefer reading and writing about AUs that stick to canon for the most part, that delve into untouched ideas the show had potential to explore (but couldn't for reasons such too dark for the target audience). I usually don't like AUs where somebody who's a fan of the show gets somehow sucked into the show/universe of the show.

🍇 Is there a particular scene/episode/book/etc that you want to just write a million fics about, over and over? Which one?

'Astro B.O.Y.D.' for DuckTales and 'Day of the Sorcerers' for Sofia the First! Both are MAJOR milestone episodes for my blorbos that explore the character's pain and why they're the way they, and both episodes grant them major character development.

🍎 Is there anything you straight-up won’t write?

Smut, especially hardcore stuff. I only did once, but it wasn't just for the sake of it being smutty. I'm not comfortable writing smut, and I don't feel... qualified to (both personally and because I haven't dove into enough media with smut to get a feel for it).

🍓 How did you get into writing fanfiction?

It all started with reading fanfiction of Roswell High tv series (the original not the reboot). My love for Michael and Maria was too strong to not delve into the murky world online and that's when I discovered 'shipping', fanfiction and ship names.

🍇 How many fandoms have you written in?

I never wrote 'official' fanfiction for Roswell High so 2 - The Hunger Games (Everlark), and ACOTAR (Nessian/ Nesta).

🍈 How many years have you been writing fanfiction?

Ugh, don't make me count. So probably... 20. On and off. Mostly stuff for myself until I started finally putting some bits online.

🍎 Do you read or write more fanfiction?

Read more overall. I take forever to write fanfiction. I have a million ideas though.

🍌 What is one way you've improved as a writer?

Confidence. Actually putting myself out there and posting has done wonders. It's great to be anonymous and it's wonderful to receive positive comments and kudos but the sheer fact I've created something and distributed it is invaluable.

🍑 Do you have any bad habits as a writer?

Ideas ran rampant. I am never short of inspiration but do I write the stories??? Do I heck.

🍍 What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

Hmm. Not for fanfiction but I was writing an original story and needed to look up how long it would take a body to decompose and what state it would be.

🍉 What's your favorite type of comment to receive on your work?

Gosh anything. Feed me.

🍐 What's the most fringe trope/topic you write about?

I don't think I do anything 'fringe' - I have yet to finish my Nessian/ Neris fanfiction. Nessian is mainstream but I wouldn't even say Neris is fringe as it's gaining some traction.

🥭 What is the hardest type of story for you to write?

I think if I find something emotionally hard I will write it anyway - creative challenge and all that. If I don't WANT to write about something I just won't. Excessive SA in fics is so far from what I want to read and so it's far from what I want to write.

🍏 What is the easiest type?

Nesta slides into my mind with ease. Cassian not so much. Nesta is a bundle of pain and range and love with no way of expressing it healthily so I love anything from her POV.

🍋 What is something you've been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?

I'm trying to finish the fic I'm writing (Silver in Her Eyes). I'm finding that intimidating because it's looking like a 80,000 word piece. A whole novel basically. I feel a bit queasy thinking of it.

I also made good progress with a Nessian body swap before I scrapped it. Somehow I ran out of steam.

It's connected to my real name in a very loose and creative way. Mwah ha ha ha ha.

Chapter 17 in the arcade where Kat (OC) decides to show off her Guitar Hero skills after a pair of jerks try to belittle her and Marik.

“Hey lovebirds, take your sweet-talk somewhere else. You’re standing in front of our game ,” one of them said in a snobbish tone.

“ Your game? Sorry, I must have missed the plaque that said it belonged to you,” Kat commented sarcastically while looking towards the pair she deemed to be nothing more than jerks.

“Sweetheart, this game is for hardcore gamers only. Your wanna-be boy-toy doesn't fit that description,” he continued rudely.

Marik scowled bitterly and opened his mouth to say something in defense, but Kat pressed her hand against his chest to indicate that he should remain silent. “You know what, I changed my mind. I want to play this game,” she stated, acting smug.

The two guys laughed in mockery. “Oh please! A tiny girl like��you ….playing a game like this !” the other choked out between fits of laughter.

Kat released Marik’s arm, picked up the controller, looked the laughing pair dead in the eye, then selected the ‘Expert’ difficulty. She then scrolled through the songs, stopping at one in particular while sporting a wicked grin.

“Oh look, she thinks she can play ‘Through the Fire and Flames’!” the first one continued to laugh. “Sweetheart, no one can beat that! There’s no way you’ll even stand a chance!”

Marik hadn’t heard of the song, but guessed based on their reaction that it wasn’t an easy one to play. He wondered if she had chosen the song as pure irony because of her status as a flame elemental. As soon as she selected ‘Start’, he quickly discovered there was more than irony in her song choice. As she hit the 100 note streak in the first ten seconds, he realized this song was pretty much one giant ‘Fuck You’ to the two jerks. Compared to the song that the group before them had played, this one was insanely fast paced, with continuous strings of notes flying down the screen. Not only had Kat started singing along with the lyrics (making Marik realize she knew this particular song pretty well), but she was barely looking at the screen. Instead her eyes were closed half the time as she fully got into the rhythm of the song, clearly enjoying herself. She acted as if she was holding an actual guitar in her hand, and not a controller.

He looked over to see the pair that had ridiculed them staring, their faces flushed in embarrassment and jaws nearly on the floor. He also noticed that people were stopping to watch, forming a small crowd. As soon as she finished with the song the words ‘ YOU ROCK! ’ surrounded in flames flashed across the screen, followed by a detailed list that showed she had scored 100% across the board. Kat calmly placed the controller back on its stand, looked the pair of jerks dead in the eye one last time, grinned devilishly, then held up both middle fingers while walking away backwards through the crowd. Marik couldn’t help but laugh at the sight and followed after her, not even bothering to look back to see everyone else’s reactions.

Chapter 55. I have dubbed this chapter 'Burgers are Salad' for a reason. Also, to avoid confusion, Yamima is called Malik in longfic (since this is a heavy Marik and Malik chapter...and yes, I have to really pay attention when writing chapters with these two interacting). Additionally, in this AU, Malik existed during Atem's time (and is an elemental like Bakura and OC) and wasn't created by Marik (it's very convoluted and explained in story).

“Did you seriously just order a bunch of pork dumplings and nothing else?” Marik asked in repulsion as he stared at the pile on Malik’s plate.

Malik narrowed his eyes and glared across the table at the young Tomb Keeper. “You don’t hear me complaining about what you chose to order.” He didn’t blink as he shoved an entire dumpling in his mouth.

Atem remained silent, content to stay out of the line of fire between the two as he ate his bowl of ramen.

“I grew up underground where meat was scarce. Even when it was available, everything had to be used immediately or it went to waste. I never liked the idea that an animal's only purpose in life was so that it could be slaughtered,” Marik stated bitterly.

“Reality check: That is their purpose. Why do you think they exist?” Malik questioned pointedly.

Marik scowled. “I could ask the same thing about you.”

Malik opened his mouth to reply, then quickly closed it, his eyes shifting back and forth as he contemplated the point. “Fair enough,” he said with a casual shrug.

“I swear, you’re as bad as Bakura when it comes to meat. At least Kat has the decency to limit its consumption in front of me,” Marik stated irritably.

“Fine, next time I’ll get a salad. Would that make you happy?” Malik asked, appearing annoyed.

“ You would eat a salad?” Marik asked skeptically.

Malik grinned. “Oh absolutely! A grilled angus and portobello salad with swiss, grilled onion, and untoasted croutons, topped off with a nice and creamy garlic pepper dressing,” he said sarcastically.

Marik’s face fell. “That’s called a mushroom-swiss burger…”

Malik popped another dumpling into his mouth. “It has lettuce, therefore it counts as a salad,” he argued casually.

“You’re being annoying on purpose, aren’t you?” Marik asked flatly.

Malik smirked sarcastically as a reply.

guy mccheer ignores correspondences, forgets birthdays, spends parties reading a book in the corner, asks friends about partners they've long broken up with, disagrees with everyone's taste in entertainment, and will argue with you about something pedantic long past the point of friendly debate (assuming, incorrectly, that you're having just as much fun as he is).

he also regularly did people's assignments for them in school when they were sick, provides both honest and pragmatic advice, compliments his friends effusively, tells the best dirty jokes, sends people flowers when they need them, and, were they to exist in Yessen, would offer to drive you to the airport at 3am without you even having to ask.

🍎: Do they share any features or traits with any family members?

his whole childhood he was told that he looked exactly like his mother, who he never knew

🎂: Has your OC have any contradictory interests or traits to the first perception people have of them? How do they surprise people?

he's a sports nut and was a hardcore supporter of the academy's rugby team.

🍾: Does your OC believe in luck? If so, do they have any charm or ritual they do before a stressful event?

absolutely not. there is no luck, only chance. anyone who thinks they're lucky is delude and anyone who thinks they're unlucky is self-pitying. (every waking moment he is thinking about the copper piece with a whole in it that he kept in his pants pocket which was not a charm of fortune, thank you. he just liked fiddling with it when he was stressed...)

🍕: How does an OC spend a lazy day?

on the grounds of the academy, if you walked out into the trees a bit, there was a stream that no one else seemed to know about. and if guy had truly nothing going on, and if dr. winter was away or occupied, he would take a notebook and a bottle of wine out there and roll up the bottoms of his pants and sit with his feet in the stream and draw little sketches of the plants and birds (and a deer fawn one time).

🍇: What sort of friend are they? Where are they in the group dynamic?

🍉: Does your OC have a particular piece of jewellery that they always wear or refuse to part with?

For Roxy

If I had to describe Roxy's dynamic in a friend group, she's the alt best friend from every early 2000s movie. She's loyal as hell but will still be petty if betrayed.

Roxy has quite a few pieces she refuses to part with. First is her dragon shaped nose piercing. Second is a hardcore looking necklace depicting an angel being shot in the heart by multiple arrows. Third is a cross she wears that has a crucified Jesus on it.

🌸 What's your earliest memory of playing the sims? Memories arent my strong suit, lol. Fibro fog is real.. But I have foggy memories of playing with a friend in elementary school on their computer.

💫 How did you discover the sims franchise? Again, I dont really remember.

🍇 What was your first sims game? The first one I owned myself. I think it was sims 2.

🍦 How long have you been playing the sims? Probably since it came out but I really wasnt a hardcore fan until sims 2.

🧋 What is your favorite sims series? (sims 3, 2 etc.) Lame answer I know but sims 4! I dont remember the original very well. Sims 2 was amazing but my old copy doesnt play anymore on my current pc. I hate sims 3 (yeah yeah I know). Sims 4 has great graphics and the mod potential is amazing, whats not to love?

🤍 Do you have a favorite sim created by you? Yes! To be honest it kind of flip flops between two sims though. For a while its Christopher then it goes back to Reynard (dont ask).

🧸 Favorite townie? (any sims game) Dont have one.

🍨 Do you have a sim self? If yes, do you play with them? I do. I was late to game on creating one though, just recently decided to jump on that band wagon. Yes, I do play with them.

🫐 How often do you play the sims? Every day. Often twice a day.

🌱 Do/Can you relate to any of your sims? I mean - yes and no. I see myself in some of the things I do in game because its an outlet for every day stress and anxiety - its my escape. But I play with a ton of occult sims so theres a lot of fantasy stuff going on in my game so also no.

🐬 Favorite sims challenge? I have actually never done a challenge. I have considered starting rags to riches but I just made my sim a hoe with perversions and it was to easy, lol. I dont follow challenge rules well (as you can see by the hoe thing) so challenges arent my thing.

👜 What in-game career would you choose if you were a sim? Does just entering the money cheat and then doing whatever I want count?

🌷 Which traits would you have if you were a sim? Are we talking like what traits Id want or what traits Id have based on what Im really like? Cause those are two different answers!!

🍮 Favorite thing to do in the sims? (Could literally be anything!) I spend a lot of time growing my families, seeing how big and far those bloodlines can go! I also like to cause choas and havoc depending on my mood. My game is full of drama and craziness.

❄️ Favorite in-game season if you own The Sims 4 Seasons? I disabled all of the stuff I can. Blizzards, thunderstorms, weather affects - disabled. We all know sims wont stay out of the damn pools in cold weather...

❣️ Do you talk about the sims with any of your friends/family members in real life? Yeah

✉️ How big is your mods folder? Right now... 72 gb but Im about to add  new stuff

☘️ Do you have any other social media where you post sims related content? I will post big mod updates - important bug information - and share my sim photos on my personal facebook page (if that counts). Im also one of the group mods in a facebook group for sims 4 pc players.

🍇: What sort of friend are they? Where are they in the group dynamic?

I'd say Karrie is the intimidating, scary, hardcore friend, but also the chill, funny, down-to-earth friend. She can pull off both flawlessly. I say hardcore as in both 'I've killed more men than you'll ever meet' and 'lool wanna bet if i can chug 5 mugs of beer in 5 minutes?'/'watch me do a backflip off the railing'

I don't wanna say Ragnar is the dad friend but.... maybe he is. Just a bit though. He is the Dad friend but he is also the friend who needs a Dad friend to keep him in check. He's more of the pack leader, y'know? Everyone just sorta flocks to him, he's a natural leader, the spokesperson of his friend group.

🍒: Has Your OC had their first kiss yet? If so, with who?

With Karrie I'm not quite sure... I'm still figuring out her past, I basically scarped her old one. Not that it was very thought out, but still. I always wrote her down as the criminal with no friends, that no one approached, so I doubt that she'd have any relationships with people. Plus, I write her as inexperienced in love. But, I'm thinking its unlikely she hasn't had any sexual relationships with people, one night stands... Confusing. I'm thinking she either had her first kiss back in her Carta days with some rando, guy or chick, or with Blackwall/Sera.

Oh yeah, of course Ragnar has had his first kiss. With Morrigan that is! He's been with plenty of women in the past, but he never really felt anything for them, given that they were all intended arrangements, none of his own choosing or desire. Morrigan, on the other hand, was his choosing. Or, more like her choosing. Which made it all the more meaningful for him. My poor boy finally gets to kiss a lady he loves.

🍓: Does your OC have any particular scents they like? Or hate?

In particular, Karrie loves certain scents. Cool mountain air, the smell after rainfall, evergreen trees, baked goods, fresh blood... But in general, she hates strong scents. They tend to give her a headache, or make her nauseas. She can't describe the smell of the Fade, but she hates that the most, along with Corpses.

Ragnar has grown accustomed to the scents of Orzammar, the heat, the smell of iron, the smell of the Deep Roads, but the surface has opened him up to so many new scents. Just fresh, cool air seems to be his favorite. Trees and flowers are also ones he favors. And likewise to Karrie, he cant really describe it, but he hates the smell of the Taint/Blight.

🍔: Are there any recent trends you think your OC would hate? Or love?

I'm just gonna make Karrie hate all the trends I hate lol. She'd hate NFTs and a lot of TikTok trends, but she'd like a lot of the meme trends just because she finds anything funny really. Also, she'd hate cancel culture, just thinks drama like that is really stupid.

Ragnar would be blind to that stuff to be honest. He wouldn't be online enough to learn about any trends, and I doubt that he'd care if he knew.

second fave of vld, she had to go through a traumatic experience with her having to face that she and her father figure are the only ones left in her race and yet she still found strength to try to move forward despite the pain she suffered. i know she's not perfect but honestly i still love her regardless, she deserved better than the treatment her creators gave her 😞✊

hi! i'm visiting berlin (again) and was wondering if you had any recs? i love art, so i'd like to see lots of it, history as well. i'd like to know cool places to visit (like parks, neighbourhoods, ect) and bars (nightlife & meeting ppl, though i'm not big on partying/clubbing/techno). i'm going alone this time, which will also be my first time traveling alone ever, so i'll be battling hardcore anxiety! (also going in october for 4 days, if that changes any recs?) thanks, love u! 💟💗💖💝

hey, thanks for your ask! first of all, I’m not a local (well I technically am but I just moved here 7months ago lol and I still haven’t seen everything of berlin and there are places I’ve never been!) but yes lets see!!

So for art, there are plenty of nice galleries around augusstrasse, its a very nice street with cafes and design shops and stuff like that, tho its a bit posh too. If you’re more looking for art museums, I’d recommend hamburger bahnhof (really big and the best museum in town!!!) and gropius bau for modern art and alte nationalgalerie on the museums island if you’re more into 18th century stuff. For history: there are plenty of memorials because of the berlin wall / gdr, I personally like tränenpalast which is a free exhibition close to friedrichstrasse. Also we have a very nice nature historic musem with a big dinosaur skeleton and I really like it there too! For parks: we have many of them, and for summer its the best place to chill! My fave is the park around the Märchenbrunnen (fairytale fountain hehe), I think this one is called “Volkspark Friedrichshain”. Other big parks are Treptower park, görlitzerpark (just dont go there when its dark tho) and Tiergarten. We also have some pretty nice lakes for swimming, if you’re into that. I like weissensee, altho you’ve gotta look for the right spot a bit. They also lend boats to paddle around the lake which is really cool! Neighborhoods I like are kreuzberg (around Bergmannstrasse -> “Bergmannkiez”, close to that is Victoriapark with a waterfall and on top of kreuzberg theres also a platform with a nice view, a lot of people sit there when its warm), Prenzlauerberg (which is full of young families with kids but they have really nice shops around) and Charlottenburg is interesting too. I don’t really go to bars a lot (bc its kinda pricey and everyone just buys beer at their local späti and drinks it outside) so I can’t really recommend any. Oh and ahh its so cool that you decided to travel on your own, don’t be scrared berlin is super international and everyone is talking english, so you won’t have any problems and just take care of your belongings especially when you’re visiting super touristic spots like alexanderplatz for example.
