Another of the Mist Lynx's erstwhile children, the Hankyu/Arctic Cheetah started as an Ice Hellion project before getting snapped up by Smoke Jaguar in a trial of possession over the factory. Where the Fire Falcon went all in on guns and the Hellion puts its chips on over the ground speed with a nasty ammount of pod space, the Artic Cheetah mostly just refines on the Mist Lynx's idea of being a light scout/skirmisher. Not a huge fan of it for Clans but the DCMS sure picked a lot of these up from somewhere (do not ask where) and it seems like a solid spotter/scout for my 1st Sword of Light!

the arrow kept between slender fingers is pulled back expertly, the string held taut. the frustration released from hanzo’s body in the form of a quivering hand, however, jerks its trajectory skyward upon release. the point embeds itself just above the wooden target’s bullseye, and an irritated grumble threatens to rise in the shimada scion’s chest.

he turns to the other now, gaze burning with indignation. when he sees not confrontation, but sincerity in his younger brother’s stance, the fire in his eyes reduces itself into something defeated. “ leave me, genji. i have no desire to discuss this further. ”

still, he makes no move to ensure the cyborg’s departure. instead, hanzo reaches for another nock from his quiver, steadying his aim once more. this time, the arrow flies true, lodging itself within the center of the target.

Genji’s eyebrows knit together slightly at Hanzo’s response, though his expression remains soft; endearing, almost. It had become common place for him to remove his helmet’s visor in his brother’s company , baring the scarred canvas that served as his countenance ; not to remind his brother of the things that had been done many years ago , but simply because Genji felt comfortable around him - bar those very occasional thoughts that would crawl their way into his mind ; clawing and gnawing at his insides all the while - and wished to show him so .

When his brother is like this , there's no changing his mind - at least not right away - and Genji knows this. The youngest Shimada’s mouth curves upwards in a gentle , genuine smile when his brother turns to him , and the smile remains even when he’s told to leave.

Rather than leave - Hanzo didn’t really seem to be serious about wanting him to leave , after all - , Genji lowers himself into a seated position, legs crossed and hands at his side in a meditative position, and closes his eyes while releasing a quiet breath . A breath to steady himself , to calm the intrusive thoughts .

Before he surrenders himself to his meditation , Genji speaks up , one eye opening to glance at Hanzo ; ❝ You do not have to do everything by yourself , brother ; you are not alone . Not anymore . . . Please at least entertain the thought — if you do not wish to do so for yourself , then do it for me . ❞
