first week with the olympus pen that’s become my go-to concert shooting film camera (which means it won’t pop up here much since I’m still trying to keep this blog *mostly* limited to my off-stage stuff).

I’d been shooting with a much older half-frame for a while and loved the economy of it, seemed like the time to upgrade to the one proper SLR half-frame system that’s out there. I maintain that the viewfinder on the pen (or on mine anyway) is its main downside; it’s dim as hell and hard to focus in low-light, especially with the 1.4 lens wide open. no complaints otherwise though, it’s really been the camera that’s encouraged me to embrace shooting film at shows. relatively small and light but still a proper SLR, and double the frames per roll means less agonizing over each one.

there’s a bit of concert stuff in this set, as I had it with me during the opening nights at roadrunner that I was working, but these are mostly walkaround/house/cat shots for testing purposes. and the proportions are a little weird because I underfilled the tank when I developed this roll. ok that’s it.
