The slightly overwhelming desire to try and draw Doomguy (Doom Slayer, if you wanna be that way) for the first time EVER. Despite the fact that this man haunted my childhood with his nasty-ass bloodied face when his health was low. That's right...Doomguy scared me as a kid. NOT THE DEMONS. (Does that make me Hellspawn? My big sister had a manipation strategy as a kid called the Pretty Princess Game, in which she would tell you that whatever it was you were fighting over was for Toads or Witches, and that she would take one for the team and be the toad so that we could be the princesses, therefore getting what she wanted and being seen as the saviour.

Examples of Toad behaviour include: Taking the last slice of something, having longer hair than her, accepting pocket money, laying in bed instead of tidying up, and singing the best parts of the songs in disney musicals.

This personal tangent aside: Metal Sonic is currently doing this to Sage, right this very moment.

#@ character designers who think its a good idea to have a male character with long hair cut it: why are you like this #oh im loving how angsty this book will be in the first half ugh!!! with all the lis its rough #tyril spent a year wandering around mourning feeling like he failed kaya only to watch mc vanish before his eyes not being able to help the #nias just figuring out who she is as a person and loses mc and her whole support system who helped her dismantle her entire worldview #mal never really trusted anyone besides his sister before mc and the rest of the group came along. hes abandoned #just like he was when his mom died. left all alone again after forming the first meaningful bonds hes had in over a decade probably #imtura had her crew obviously but i hc that there was always a divide between her and them bc shes never known what she should do #be herself away from the pressures of her mom and flotilta (flotila??) or reluctantly step up and accept she has to sacrifice herself #and kade!!!!! he spent months being tortured then he gets saved by his sibling only to have them be kidnapped in front of him #he knows whats capable of happening in the shadow realm so hes spent the year in the library poring over tomes for something anything #theyve all spent the year constantly thinking about mc being tortured or worse but kade has to blame himself for all this. after all if he #didnt get trapped mc wouldnt have absorbed the blade of light and wouldnt be a target. just ugh!!!!! fantastic angst

I actually think most of the mechanics and puzzles are really good (I probably have more fun in Zonai shrines then sheikah #on average) I also think expanding to the sky and underground was really smart and good. I think most of my issues are with the story #they did Zelda so dirty. sooooooo dirty. the three good things they did with her are 1 gave her good parental figures 2 cut her hair #3 tURNED HER INTO A FUCKING DRAGON. A WYRM. A CREATURE.#that’s probably my favourite main story thing besides maybe the companions and also Tulin #I love Teba the fact that his son is featured heavily and is done so good in this game is amazing.#also revali being basically never mentioned was really good. fuck you revali #love the Zonai HATE them founding Hyrule (or well rauru)#love the designs dragon goat people love good dad to Zelda the king can go fuck himself #the thing about me is I hate colonial the divine right of kings and monarchies so much. the kingdom of Hyrule stinks of these things #botw to me was in part a story of a monarchy failing. the king and the system failed Zelda failed Link and failed their kingdom.#I knew that more then likely they would be rebuilding the kingdom in the sequel but oh my gods does the addition of the politics of Hyrules #founding make it worse. there are so many people who have explained in detail this but right now my brain is just… GAH #*banging my head against the wall* can we PLEASE acknowledge the flaws of the Hylian royalty I’m not even asking for them to be discrowned #at this point I just want anything that isn’t this glorifying shit. and it sucks because I like Sonia!!!
