I recently rewatched the "Tales of Leo" episode in tmnt '03 (s1 e19), and the way Leo's first words on waking up were "No... fear!" kinda got to me, and I had this crazy thought--did Raph only start calling Leo "Fearless" after that episode?

So I sat down today and did a little research in the transcripts, and from what I can tell....

Yeah.

That's exactly what happened.

"Tales of Leo" is first time the word "Fearless" is used. Raph says it in a moment of denial ("It's not like we can't get along without you playing fearless leader!") and then later backtracks.

The next time it's used is in "Turtles in Space Part 5" (s2 e5) when they're in a tight spot and Raph asks Leo, "So what do we do now, fearless leader?"

And from there it becomes an established nickname

Also, bonus detail, in "Return to New York Part 2" (s1 e22) when Leo faces the same elite guard who took him down, he almost has a panic attack, but then he buckles down and says "You may destroy me, but I will not live in fear!" and pushes them back, and Raph says "Me neither!"

That moment gets me, too T.T

Mutuals, oofuri fans, and friends alike how would we all feel about an au where Mihashi retires from baseball because of Tommy John Surgery complications and takes up art instead and watches Abe continue on in his baseball career eventually becoming a coach for a group of lowsy but impressionable first years.

All the while Mihashi draws Abe and the places they go together. Mihashi aches to be on the field again, to feel his cleats digging into the well raked dirt of a mound, and to be able to be the only one Abe sees again. Even if just for a second he wants to be the only one Abe focuses on, he wants Abe to look at him and yearn for him the way his sketches of said man reflect his own yearning.

It's a terrible slow burn (because oofuri is nothing if not just one two decade long slow burn) and Mihashi thinks Abe will never want him the same way he wants the catcher turned coach, but Abe has only ever been looking at Mihashi.

He sees Mihashi everywhere, in nervous tics he picked up from the blond during the time he spent with the retired pitcher, he helicopters the kids on the team because he can't do it with Mihashi anymore and finds himself making extra riceballs when he packs his own lunches before work (he doesn't realize it until him and the first years are eating during practice but he hands them out to the kids who want them or whoever wins at rock paper scissors or an at bat challenge lol hes a bastard).

There's a film over his eyes that makes him only see Mihashi no matter how much he tries to blink or rub it away.

i'm #newtoradblr i've spent so much time these past two weeks scrolling through radfem blogs i knew i had to make an actual radfem side of tumblr blog for my own sanity. the way i "peaked" is kinda funny 3-4 months ago i liked a radfem post without realizing and all of a sudden i had other radfem posts recommended to me by the algorithm and i was so annoyed because i was very anti-terf etc but for a couple days i read through a bunch of radfem blogs and it was actually such a relief to encounter FEMINISM not some watered down version of it but i felt guilty due to 5+ years of conditioning (and also because i had a nonbinary friend sitting right next to me in class as i was doing this) and i also didn't like the prominent use of the word moid? but anyway, 3 months later, i'm not sure why but the mra nature of the trans movement has grown so much more apparent to me i have like three mutuals who are trans men on my other blog and i would find myself rereading the few feminist posts i would reblog/write because these people are literally reblogging shit like "don't think like a terf. men aren't your oppressors, they're your friends/neighbors/brothers/fathers. if you think that any man could harm you you have been fooled by terf rhetoric" like actual morons/meninists. anyway two weeks ago i saw a post made by someone i knew was a radfem on my twitter tl and i don't know why i knew i was ready i went through her blog and through many others and now here i am.

Thinking about the time when I heard my kid say, "[Indiscernible mumbling] armpit hair is really long!" And, knowing that I hadn't shaved in a while and was wearing a tank top, I assumed she was talking about me, so I nodded and calmly said, "Yep, all adult humans have body hair!"

And then she looked at me like I had two heads and said, "I was talking about Romeo!" *points at the cat lounging on top of the kitchen cabinets with one arm propped over the edge, shaggy black armpit hair clearly visible*
