I wish Lane had a younger sibling, preferably a brother who is much younger, like 8-10 years younger than Lane, not only because the amount of only children in Stars Hollow is unrealistic but also because then we would get to see how Mrs Kim got progressively less and less strict with Lane's brother not just because he is younger and she became more chill after season 5 but also because he is a boy. So Lane would be obviously happy that her mother is more lenient now and her brother doesn't have to live in the same stifling environment as the one she grew up in but on the other hand she would be jealous of her brother because she would watch him easily get away with stuff she was "grounded for life" for. How do you think this would have played out?

Its obvious to me when people who post about canaries in mines have never met a canary. Like yeah the miners had a special device to revive the canary because canaries are one of the most adorable creatures on the planet and they make adorable little chirping sounds and honestly probably loved the sounds of machinery and people talking so it was probably loud and friendly with the workers. Whatever though maybe meet a canary sometime and youd understand

The way its singing filled my soul with light and joy cannot really be described#Just... Any heaviness of spirit instantly felt lighter and suddenly there was hope again

I cannot express how much I LOATHE that pretty much every chain store I go to now automatically wants your phone number at checkout. 🙃. "It's for our loyalty perks program! You'll save so much money! You won't qualify for the sale prices if you don't give us access to all of your data that we can sell or use to track all of your consumer behavior! 😀" NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!
It's so freaking invasive! Just let me buy something anonymously and LEAVE! I don't want you to know anything about me! I've just started saying No when they ask, and sometimes they try to guilt me into giving it to them anyway, but I'm done. They make it seem like your phone number is a necessary part of the process, but it's not. You can just say no. And they punish me for it by making me pay a few extra dollars, which sucks, but frankly I am PAST caring. I cannot stand being under corporate surveillance all the time and I REFUSE.
#And like... What if I don't want every stranger in the checkout line hearing my phone number?!#With which they would immediately (with the help of any Google search!) have access to my Name. Address. Spouse's name?!#I WANT TO BE A PRIVATE ANONYMOUS PERSON IN PUBLIC!

I know it's not the worst thing about capitalism. But I do think there's something really *bad* about the fact that between lack of leisure time, lack of disposable income, and "hustle culture" mindset that for many, many, many people the primary/only way they are able to express their creativity and artistic aesthetics is through consumer culture. Buying stuff and displaying that stuff.
When like...making stuff. Drawing, painting, weaving, crafting, sketching is like, baked deep deep into our bones as humans.
But I know so many adults who haven't like...drawn a picture since they were children.

One of the things that allo society did wrong is using the term "sexual needs". These are not needs. Drinking is a need, sleeping is a need, eating, resting and breathing are needs. If you don't do them, you die. Sex is not a need, it is a want (a valid want, don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with wanting sex) and I'm tired of hearing someone has "their needs". It's a gross thing to say that is often used to excuse not just aphobia but also r*pe (especially domestic), cheating and treating women like properties.
For anyone who thinks sex is a need I want to point out that celibate monks are among the healthiest people in the world. They haven't died out yet

It's probably because they fancied themselves Medieval "knights," but the irony is definitely amazing, haha. 🙄 This is very interesting, thank you. I'm glad people in Europe can still enjoy their traditional clothing! This particular garb has unfortunately been absolutely ruined in the U.S. It just means something else here now, and the sight of hoods like this provokes VERY particular and very strong (bad) emotions.

SO much reading.#And while I didn't write letters to fairies specifically I DID forge fake antique Love Letters. 😂#I'd use my very fanciest handwriting and write a fake date on it and be like#'Dearest Robert#When can we meet again? My family doesn't approve but I shall never love another!' etc. etc.#😂🤣#And then I'd seal it up with a Victorian rose sticker and stick it in a drawer and be like:#'OMG! What if someone finds this and thinks it's a REAL LOVE LETTER from the 1800s???' Hahahahaha!#We Anne Shirleys of the world have to stick together!#Oh and my sister and I would write teeny tiny letters from my dolls to her dolls and vice versa! And slip them under the door#And every time we found a tree with a hole near the roots we decided it was a Fairy House and we'd decorate it with flowers. 😊
