how everyone met/reacted to Liminal. (Bad Sanses edition.)
Error: bot beat up almost as soon as Liminal was created. His only thoughts throughout the fight were “OH SHIT”, “WHAT THE HELL IS THAT”, and “I messed up. I VERY MUCH MESSED UP SHIT.”
Dust and Killer: they were the first to return to the castle, and saw Liminal just sitting there on the floor. She screeched at Killer, thinking it was Error again, but Dust managed to calm her down. Killer said “how are we gonna explain THAT to the boss?”, to which Dust replied with something along the lines of “I’m honestly more worried about Horror’s reaction than Nightmare’s.” Ironically, that’s when Nightmare walked in, followed closely by Horror.
Horror: he immediately crouched down next to Liminal, before glaring up at Killer and Dust with a stare that could kill god. But he was mainly worried about the fact that his human was now goopy, so he held off on attacking the two.
Nightmare: he went into full dadmare mode (a rare occurrence in this au. He cares about the bad Sanses, but he doesn’t baby them or anything, so seeing him act like this was quite rare.), asking what had happened and if she was ok. Oddly enough, he asked if she remembered everyone. Later on it’s explained that memories get a bit fuzzy after one eats a dark apple, seeing how it’ll cling to negative emotions and blurs out some stuff. (Liminal’s memories were intact for the most part, don’t worry.)
Cross: this happens WAY later, when Liminal Basically becomes the castles security system. Nightmare asks her to keep an eye on Cross, the new recruit… and she does. Cross can’t shake the feeling of being watched, which encourages Liminal to spy on him more, and it becomes a bit of a loop before Cross finally catches a glimpse of her. Horror explains who Liminal is when Cross asks, but Cross is still a bit unnerved by her presence.

Things I want to do with this man specifically.
- Most importantly: MARRY HIM.
- Smooch him.
- Like pepper his face in kithes and hear him laugh.
- Brush back the hair on his forehead and plant one there.
- Kiss between his eyebrows. He seems to have a very prominent concerned crease in the anime.
- Take care of him on his bad days.
- Give him shoulder rubs when he’s working through paperwork.
- Brush and braid his hair before bedtime.
- Run my fingers through his hair.
- Just PLAY with his hair.
- Lay on his chest and listen to his heart beat.
- Suck the absolute soul out of him.
- Wake up next to him and gaze at him as he sleeps.
- Caress his face.
- Have him teach me how tf to do calligraphy. Like have him sit behind me and guide my hand through the brush strokes.
- Have him fall asleep using my lap as a pillow.
- Drink ALL of the tea with him (I think I would have met my match with him tbh).
- Speaking of, introduce him to my tea pets 🥺
- Have long, deep, philosophical talks with him that go deep into the night.
- Rail the living daylights out of him
- Rub my nose against his while I sit in his lap after spicy times and brush our lips together.
- Help him in/out of his haori at the start/end of the day like the good little housewife I am.
- Sit on his lap and just look into his eyes and stroke his face.
- Enjoy comfortable silence together while doing menial tasks.
- Read together. Like before bed, choose a book and hear him read it to me while I lay on his chest and listen to his heartbeat.
- Rest my head on his shoulder as we gaze at the fireflies together in silence on a balmy evening.
- Cook for him.
- Read adjacent to each other.
- Play board games together.
- Garden with him and show him how to actually care for a bonsai 😅
- Snuggle literally anywhere anytime.
- Just lay on the couch together with him laying on my chest.
- Feed the koi in Ugendo and cuddle while we watch them together.
- Have his children. I don’t care how many he wants.
- Meet his siblings 🥺
- Rest my forehead against his and feel him sigh into my mouth when we kiss.
- Take a whole bubble bath with him and make him a bubble beard and giggle with him.
- Hug him from behind.
- Just BE with him.
