Also thoughts™ about my jade brotherhood charr, Karde, largely copy-pasted from discord so incoherent rambles ahead, beware
So Karde Forgemaw is an Aetherblade turned Jade Brotherhood, and brainstorming today a little I think I like the idea that he was pretty high up in Aetherblade command, he knew Ankka and after they crash-landed in Cantha he ended up going on a recon/supply run mission with her in Echovald, which went terribly wrong due to a run-in with Speakers, with most of the crew getting wiped out and Karde seriously injured. Since they were still running away from the Speakers, along with trying to get their loot out, Ankka decided that injured Karde is only going to slow them down, shooting him and letting him fall down a cliff and into the junkyard, claiming him as dead to Mai Trin, and the rest of the surviving crew just rolling along with Ankka's plan. That said her shot wasn't lethal, so Karde just ended up slowly bleeding out to death on the ground, in immense pain, with several broken bones and a gunshot wound that just missed his heart and went through his shoulder. He got lucky however, because a jade brotherhood patrol found him and picked him up, interested in him because well. They've never saw a charr before, they saw this giant cat slowly dying and were surprised and incredibly curious, given that to this points Canthans haven't seen a live charr before, and deciding that he'd be more useful alive then dead, bringing him in and saving his life, largely out of sheer curiosity of, what the hell that giant cat is even doing here.
#idk just spitting thoughts out into the wild#the new patch really made me think about him again cuz yeah he's supposed to be involved in EoD story and then in Gyala Delve#largely I just really enjoy the idea of him helping the commander track down Ankka in Echovald#since he's got quite a score to settle with her still#Karde Forgemaw
