For the fic ask thing:
Okay so I am like. SO bad at remembering which works belong to which authors so I had to go back and reread some of yours that I haven't read in ages (I've been so bad about keeping up with fics lately) BUT I gotta say no unbeatable odds is iconic. I absolutely love the dynamics between the group and the way everyone is sort of able to find some kind of freedom in being out of Hawkins, it's a really sweet fic that still had me giggling like the first time I read it.
Also, crimson clover!! The line about their kiss where Chrissy thinks it feels like what home would feel like if home were like the movies!! It's so beautiful and it was such an evocative line I had to pause and be like. wow.
You have no idea how much this message means to me. It's been awhile since I've gotten anything substantial written, but you've reminded me of what I always aimed for with no unbeatable odds. I kinda mined my years of solo traveling and the very specific emotional space travel creates for different kinds of freedom and connection and intimacy. And I swear I still plan to finish it! I just don't have a timeline right now with all the Life Stuff happening.
I'm surprised but delighted at the mention of crimson clover! I knew while I was writing that it had a very limited audience so I treasure every comment I got on it. It's funny you mention that specific line cause I worried about it coming off clunky. Much editing was done lol!

okay i don't think anyone asked yet so for the wip game can we hear about party princess?
party princess is an anne of green gables/anne with an e fic that i wrote a couple years ago and i took it down from ao3, because i wasn’t sure if i would ever finish it. BUT i have started writing on it again and fixing a few inconsistencies, so hopeful i can put it up several chapters at a time.
it’s modern au with anne trying to pay for university by being a children’s party entertainer aka a party princess. obviously, her alias is “Princess Cordelia.” she gets hired by bash and mary for delphine’s birthday party, which is where she has an unfortunate run in with gilbert. she thinks she’ll never see him again and resigns to the fact that she made fool of herself in front of a stranger. ofc gilbert is completely charmed.
it turns into a “omg that guy i embarrassed myself in front of is my new neighbor” type of thing and is just all around good rom com vibes.

honestly i don't know, i think of actors i really like but i'm not big on their counterparts..? i enjoy it a lot when they mix and match, i don't have anyone i particularly follow.. i will say MaxTul were super powerful, i really appreciate the bonds between a lot of pairs like ForceBook and i think some of them have amazing chemistry like FirstKhao but even though there are a few i would always try to tune in for like OffGun and YinWar, there's no one i can call a fave, i don't think..currently JimmySea are eating it up tho
🎭Most underrated actor: just the Wayufilm crew in general, I see them do fundraiser lives on yt all the time and I don't think they're that well known by the fandom
🧍♂️Favorite character: ig it is Karan currently, Tay really made the character shine in a different way than Machida Keita's Kurosawa and i can't get enough of those puppy eyes
🕴Favorite side character: rn it might be Metha from Cooking Crush? he's just a bit too charming for someone i'd punch if i met him irl..or Fire, i think writing about him made me fond, they're both so..this
📽Favorite scene: from all the thai bls i've seen?? there's beauty like THAT ITSAY scene, there's unexpected scenes i come back to like WaanTul in the last episode of Between Us, there's Nuea and Toh finally getting everything out in the open..there's the Kitty Gang in FUTS going up the elevator, the ep.5 KinnPorsche scene..most of PatPran's scenes!! like how am i supposed to even start choosing lmao

🃏Most anticipated bl and why: let's say Jack and Joker hahah, I hope it works out <3 i want to see a project YinWar have certain freedom over completed successfully - even if it ends up not being my thing, they deserve to share their talents and artistic vision. they are trying something new, maybe there will be a nice balance between comedy and drama and also it seems like those characters are meant to be whipped for each other and YinWar can pull that off splendidly
👨❤️💋👨Healthiest relationship in a bl: PatPran and PuenTalay are the first to come to mind, the communication and conflict resolution skills are on another level
💢Most toxic relationship in a bl: I suppose it would be VeeMark before the end or maybe DimGreen from 2gether? I also personally don't like Mayom and Nadia from My Ride but I can't tell if they're actually toxic 😄 and im reminded of GramBlack cause that friendship sucks imho
OH WAIT PiMork is pretty bad. yeah, maybe not the worst but they've got a spot on the list..and ig TehOhAew but I have not actually seen s2 so overall I don't have a definitive opinion :')
🍿Guilty pleasure series: i guess it would be Cause You're My Boy (My Tee) because everyone hates on it but I binged it and had a good time 🤷♀️ also I Will Knock You cause it has some questionable elements but it's also very special
❎Most underrated series: out of what I've seen it would obviously be Rainbow Lagoon but it's two episodes, not sure if it counts as a series.. really sweet short watch though, you should give it a try here 🥰
also maybe The Best Story? I didn't like it that much because of the ending but it's younger YinWar and I never hear anyone talk about it; I'd say they were pretty good at it 😊

frankly, this doesn't totally fit the criteria bc it's not a holiday fic and i was actually beyond delighted and blown away by the response to it, but it was one of the first long-ish stories i finished for meronia, and it feels cozy and nostalgic to me since we're coming up on the one-year anniversary of me posting the first chapter 🥺 looking back on it almost a year later, i can see things i would tweak if i were to edit it now, but overall i'm really happy with it still 🥲
from hot soup on a cold day:

“Hey, sorry, Roger wouldn’t let me into the— oh my God.”
Near scrambles to get away from Mello— much to the blonde’s displeasure, if the noise he makes is anything to go by.
“It— it’s not what it looks like,” Near stammers.
Matt gives him a skeptical look.
“It is what it looks like,’’ Mello contradicts, grabbing Near’s arm and trying to drag him back in. “Fuck off, Matt.”
“Let go of him, Mells,” Matt says, walking over and setting down the (apparently still-cold) soup to take Near’s other arm.
“No,” Mello says, snippy as he tugs Near toward him. “It’s my dream.”
Matt looks torn between amusement and irritation as he pulls Near further from Mello again. “Come on, man. You really think you’re dreaming?”
“I know I am, dumbass,” Mello insists, jerking Near backwards hard enough to almost dislocate his shoulder.
“Guys, please don’t pull on me so hard,” Near meekly pleads.
Matt unfortunately takes this as don’t attempt to help me at all, and releases Near entirely, sending the smaller boy tumbling backwards into Mello, who quickly winds an arm around Near’s waist.
“You’re not dreaming,” Matt tells Mello, harsher now. “You’re high off cough syrup, delusional, and you’re assaulting Near.”
Mello gasps. “He kissed me back!” He shrieks indignantly, squeezing Near tighter. Near wheezes, absently wondering if people in the hallway can hear Mello.
“Near, do you want me to get Roger?” Matt asks.
In Near’s opinion, Roger showing up is practically the only thing that could make the situation worse. He literally recoils at the idea, which has the suboptimal consequence of putting his head right next to Mello’s face. Mello pushes his nose into Near’s hair and inhales, which is sort of ticklish.
“Please don’t,” he says to Matt. Then, to Mello, “Could you let go of me? This is uncomfortable.”

BL Wishes
My List of things and Plots that I Would Like to See In BL
FIRST: Rapid Fire Specific Drama Edition:
Big Dragon S2: I need it, I need it now and I need at least one kinky scene with MossBank because I have not forgotten about the lack of kinky sex in s1. I know it's going to focus on a new couple but I need at least one sexy kinky time with them please and thank you.
I need Minato Coin Laundry s2 not to break them up, or have stupid cheating plots. (The bar is in hell)
I need both Domundi (The Next Prince, Naughty Babe, Love Upon a Time, Middleman) and Taiwan (I forgot the names of announced shows but it's in my blog somewhere) Line Ups to come to me and I need it now. Especially Taiwan.
I need Make A Wish to be more available, I could only find it with Italian Subs, I didn't watch it yet, but the ending seems to be hinting at a season 2 and at the possiblity of a poly ending (or at least a love triangle) so I need other people to be able to watch it as well.
The HIstory franchise needs to get its shit together and start producing more and better shows. Like for all of it's fault I did like History 4 and History 5 was fine. But I need more, I need them to do 2 shows again, I don't want them to "fine" I want them to go all out. Go Crazy. Just don't kill gays again.
Now More Generic BL Wishes:
VAMPIRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just give me vampires, maybe even some werewolves. I need it, I know that we have Mafia BLs but I want Vampire BL god damn it!!!! The main four actors of Cutie Pie would be great a Vampire-Werewolf BL. And I know Fluke Natouch would be great as a Vampire as well (he was in 2015 movie playing a human to vampire co-lead). I also think Earth Cooheart would be great as a Vampire. And MossBank, they would be great in a werewolves pair.
Speaking of Fluke Natouch and Earth Cooheart I need both of them to get more adult and darker roles. I need Cooheart to be allowed to be a little sexy, and I know Fluke would do a darker powerful role justice, I want him to be in a role where he bringes "bigger" man to their knees. I want to see him covered in blood (I say this with love)
POLYCULE with the main four actors of Cutie Pie. This is entairly @respectthepetty's fault. I saw the MaxZee posts on her blog and and It send me down a rabbit hole. By the way did you know there are no true polycule fanfic of the four of them, there is something, but not true polycule and never with Lian and Yi as a pair. Truly no one knows these characters they way @respectthepetty knows them.
Also @respectthepetty's fault for putting this in my head: Domundi Line Up Mash Up. Bad Friend and Middleman Ship meet Cutie Pie and Naughty Babe's ships. In one big BL. The idea is now in my head and it's glorious. Let's Do It!!
Choco Milk Shake Thair Remake but Poly this time. Not sure what trio could do this, but I need it.
LET GUN KISS SOMEONE WHO IS NOT OFF. Listen I realize that OffGun are probably GMMTV best pair branding, and I know that both Off and Gun are going to bank on this pair and be settled for life. I don't even need Gun to be in an endgame ship with another actor, I just need him to kiss another male actor. Not Me would have been the best scenario because of the twins situation. But they didn't go there, and I will never forgive them for that.
Related to Number 5, I had this idea for a plot with an OffGun endgame ship, that started with Gun's character being in a relationship with Sing (because I am still mad about ToddBlack - Listen they have baited us twice with GunSing kiss I need this now) who cheats on him and Gun has to move out and finds an appartmant with Off's character and maybe another roomate played by Tay because I love the Tay/Off dynamic. We would get scenes with Gun and Sing together, showings us flashbacks and stuff but also an OffGun endgame. WIN WIN!!
I need more shows with parents that are in the murky gray area between full acceptance and abusive, I need them not to change their mind at the end and I need a realistic exploration of what it means for a queer person to have parents in that gray area, I want them to question if it's worth it to have to be one that is keeping that realtionship alive. I am also loving the trend of dramas dealing with homophobia and I need to see more of it. I don't want it in all my BLs far from it, but I do like when BL goes there.
More disable characters in BL, preferably by disable actor's but this is a streach so, I just need more disability in BL.
And more actually fat characters, not like Jao in SCOY (which I Love, but calling him fat, felt like a bit of a strech)
And Obviously more GLs and more masc women in GL
