#gulmohar #gulmohar (2023)#2023filmgifs #my gifs #that was so good holy shit #the script was so cohesive #with the motifs of boxes and rooms and secrets and scattered mess #i was like 'what the hell why isn't every desi film this well written'#as if i expect every Western film to be well-written ha #we always judge our own worst #and yes the first half of this was damn near triggering #esp with the nagging and the criticism #i almost had flashbacks ugh #but then my god the vulnerability #the devastating secrets #oof my heart #and yes i fully teared up at the end #also really beautifully shot #with the sunlight #and the rich colours #such an excellent cast #all of them were so good #which means it was excellent direction #also fuck yeah to Bollywood screen divas playing secret lesbians onscreen #i am HERE for this trend #queer film #queer desi film #even

आज फिर गुलमोहर का दरख़्त देखा

और तुम्हारी याद दिल में उमड़ आयी

ये सौदाई दिल कहने से रुक न सका

काश तुम्हारा ही नाम गुलमोहर होता!

गुलमोहर का दरख़्त और तुम्हारी याद

दोनों में कोई रिश्ता ही रहा होगा कभी

या यूँही महज़ इत्तफ़ाक़ ही होगा कोई

कौन समझाए धड़कते दिल को अभी!

सब्ज पत्तों की उसकी झूमती टहनियाँ

लगा जैसे तुम्हारी ही बाँहें हैं फैली हुईं

खूबसूरत सुर्ख़ ज़र्द फूलों की डालियाँ

जैसे बिखरी हों तुम्हारी शोख़ियाँ नयी!

न जाने क्यों दिल में हूक सी उठ आयी

आँखें यक-लख़्त जाने कैसे भर आयीं

रुँधता गला दिल के जज़्बात कह उठा

काश तुम्हारा ही नाम गुलमोहर होता!

अगर कोई मुझसे पूछे के एक ऐसी चीज़ जो हमेशा मेरे साथ रही है, तो मई कहूँगा वो मोहल्ले का पुराना गुलमोहर ।

जिसने कई बसंत देखे , कड़ी धूप और बरसातें देखी , देखा उसने पतंगो को पेच लड़ते और टूटते , देखा उसने बच्चों को उसकी शाखाओं पर चढ़ते झूलते, और देखा मेरा तुम्हारा प्यार.

वो भारी दोपहरी में मेरा उस गुलमोहर की छाँव में तुम्हारा इंतज़ार करना देखा, जब तुम घर लौटा करती थी और तुम्हारी एक झलक पाने मैं तपती धूप में गुलमोहर के नीचे घंटो खड़े रहता.

तुम्हारी सहेलियों का मुझे देख कर तुम्हें इशारे से बताना फिर धीमे से खिलखिलाना .

धूप से तपती ज़मीन पर जब पानी की वो पहली बूँदें मिट्टी की सौंधी सौंधी ख़ुशबू ले कर आती थी, मैं तुम्हारी राह देखते उस ह्रितु में खो जाया करता था. अनायास ही तुम्हारे मेरे मिलन के ख़याल मेरे मन मस्तिष्क को भिगो कर मुझे प्रेम रस में सराबोर कर देता .

तुम्हारे इत्र की भीनी भीनी महक ऐसा लगता जैसे इस गुलमोहर ने क़ैद कर ली हो, तुम्हारे इंतेज़ार में ये भी खड़ा रहता मेरी तरह ।

फिर आख़िर वो दिन आया जब तुमने मेरे प्रेम का जवाब दिया, मेरे प्रेम को तुमने अपने चुंबन से रंग दिया । समय के साथ के गुलमोहर और हमरा प्रेम बढ़ता रहा , और फ़िर एक दिन इस्स गुलमोहर की छाँव मेन जब मैंने तुम्हारे साथ जीवन व्यक्त करने की चाह व्यक्त की तो तुमने शर्मा कर हामी भरी

बचपन, यौवन और वृद्धावस्था इसी गुलमोहर की छाँव मेन व्यतीत हो ऐसे सपने देखे मगर शायद नियति को ये मंज़ूर ना था .

एक पतझड़ मेन तुम मुझसे दुर्र चली गयी , और एक कंकाल सी भाती झड़ पता गुलमोहर भी.

लगा जैसे मेरे जीवन के सरे रंग खो से गए हो. समय से साथ तो गुलमोहर फ़िर वापस आ गया मगर तुम ना आयी.

आज भी मैं हमारे प्यार की गंध उसस गुलमोहर मेन तलाशता हु,

सोचता हु के जो पर वाला हमने बिताए थे वो अब भी वही होंगे . उसस गुलमोहर की छाँव मेन सुरक्षित, ताज़ा, जिसे कोई छू नहीं सकता, सवाए मेरे, तुम्हारे और इस गुलमोहर के .

शायद गुलमोहर ने सिर्फ़ तुम्हारा इत्र क़ैद नहीं किया था, क़ैद किया था हमारे प्रेम को भी , तुम्हें भी और मुझे भी ।
