I watched Strong Girl Bong-Soon and honestly, it's a mess (spoilers). The sideplots were boring, I hated the SML (Guk-doo) he was annoying and sexist and pushy, the mom and dad's relationship made me cringe because she is so abusive even if she didn't actually hit him, and a lot of it made like zero sense.
BUT
Min-hyuk is the cutest, funniest, nicest boy ever and I want to punch the people who made him cry. And he loves Bong-soon for who she is and doesn't care that she has super powers and it was great!
And then Bong-soon was so funny and so cute and she looked hilarious carrying huge men around and fighting because she's so tiny. She has the best facial expressions:
And the scene with the bomb where Min-hyuk is trying to save Bong-soon and he can't, but he's tried so hard his hand was all bloody was so good
So I kept watching it anyway because those two were carrying the entire drama. Honestly, I would have watched 16 episodes of just Min-hyuk and Bong-soon hanging out. Or if they did more of his family plot (like did he inherit the company or not? They never made that clear). Any scene that they weren't in seemed totally superfluous.
The only thing I didn't like about their plot-line was the very ending. I thought it was funny that they had twin girls, but as much as I love Bong-soon fully committing to being a superhero, someone with super strength needs to watch those babies. I didn't know why they didn't bring back her grandma or have her at home because those tiny super humans are dangerous.

Ah God...years back I had hop-skipped a lot of Strong Girl Do Bong-soon from the halfway point and erased half the kidnapper plot from memory....
So turns out the mystery part of Behind Your Touch is a jarring mashup of Bong-soon and Beyond Evil🙈 huh???

am watching strong girl bong-soon for the first time since it got put on netflix uk recently (i'm midway through ep 10 atm) and like, i do love the show but i don't rlly like how either of the love interests treat bong-soon 😭 ik min-hyuk and bong-soon are supposed to be kinda enemies to friends to lovers vibes and i do highly prefer them over her and guk-doo, they have had a lot v cute scenes but the way he treats her (usually at work) makes me uncomfy, even if it's mostly played for comedy. i do like min-hyuk when he's not bullying her tho so it's conflicting.
i really don't like guk-doo tho even he has some sweet moments and i feel kinda bad for him in some scenes. it's mainly the way he talks to her rubs me the wrong way and gives me red flags, esp w the way he talks down to bong-soon a lot which always makes me sad for her. i esp hate when he gets angry at her or shouts at her and then that turns out to be one of the reasons he realises he has feelings for her??? that's not cute, guk-doo.
idk what the general consensus is for his character and what ppl think of him bc i haven't seen many ppl talking abt him and i ofc don't want to get spoilt for anything so obvs i haven't looked too deeply into it. ofc i get the sense we're not necessarily supposed to root for guk-doo and bong-soon bc ofc they're not necessarily the endgame main ship, so they may be pushing the more unlikeable traits on him so we root for her and min-hyuk to end up together.
