Dark Bloom post!

In my thing, Bloom is super insecure in s2. In s1, she was insecure in the sense that she didn’t know who she was or where her powers came from or how magic worked. She still ends up kicking ass in the finale, but when she goes back to school, she notices she isn’t able to summon that kind of power again. She learns the real reason she was so strong during the fight during The Attempted Siege of Magix is because The Great Dragon resonated with Daphne’s spirit when they were speaking, and that gave it a huge boost.

Her totally awesome “I’m So Built For This And This Is Who I Am” moment was helped by her accepting her role and who she was (it was the best she was able to utilize The Flame separate from Daphne actually), but it was nothing compared to what even a glimmer of Daphne’s essence could conjure.

In s2, her insecurities now come from knowing who she is in relation to the great royal line of Domino and her feelings of inadequacy as The Holder of The Flame in regard to her predecessor, Daphne.

She does still get counseling sessions helping her connect to aspects of her past, but it’s done with both Avalon and the school therapist present as well as Griselda (having her alone with Avalon with all the weird subtext in s2 with him made me feel ick and as an adult now I don’t wanna have a repeat of that).

Avalon focuses on exploiting the insecurities he knows she has because of her talking about it during their sessions and seeing her struggle to try and gain even a sliver of the power she knows Daphne had and live up to who she was, which only gets worse the more she learns through her memories and general study and research on Dominion history (it’s now much more openly spoken about and is being reintegrated properly into the core curriculum. She does extra research on her own time, to the detriment of her actual assigned course work sometimes. It is indeed noticed by the faculty and her friends. Slipping into her flop era) as well as her continued conversations off and on with Daphne’s spirit.

This form is a manifestation of all her complicated feelings: the sadness, jealousy, rage, guilt, etc., combined with her already present survivors guilt and martyr complex due to her feelings of inferiority and need to do anything she can to make the sacrifices from The Fall of Domino worth it.

Her eyes are yellow and slitted to match Daphne’s, with the purple colors matching the ones used by Dominion royalty and courtesans, specifically those who work with The Flame. Her crown shifts to look similar to the crown Daphne often wore during important events, emblematic of The Crown Princess next in line for the throne. Her darker color scheme is to represent the ashen smoke and decay that came when Domino fell, and to reflect how overwhelmed by The Flame’s legacy she feels, all consuming and as far as Bloom is concerned, worthy of burning her to a crisp with how little she feels she’s worth. Her nails are extended to mimic dragon claws, something Daphne was able to summon and morph her body to have because of how integrated The Flame and by proxy The Great Dragon was with her being. The winged ear piece is also a reference not only to the obvious but to the pointed ears of Dominions, something she feels shame for not having sometimes due to how she had to be hidden away on Earth and as the only living relic of a time long past, the survivors guilt rearing its ugly head and reminding herself of her belief that she’s a poor excuse for a legacy.

She’s a bit more power hungry and her feelings aren’t great in s2 and only get worse as time goes on and with Darkar’s influence, yeah, maybe having the ultimate power would be a decent way to sustain some sort of legacy, since Bloom has no idea what else she could do and what else she should think at this point, being so manipulated and broken down. She gives in to the torture quickly and helps Darkar, and is then broken free by the support of and love from all of her friends at the end of the season, reminding her that she has so many wonderful qualities of her own, that she’s done amazing, she’s done more than she could’ve ever imagined even 2 years ago, and Daphne’s spirit is even able to make an appearance and tell her she’s so sorry, she didn’t imagine the toll holding The Flame would have in her, how that’s her fault, even if she did feel it was the best she could do at the time, with the consequences being unthought of, and how Bloom doesn’t need to live up to her or the legacy she left or even any legacy. Bloom simply living is enough for Daphne, so why shouldn’t it be enough for Bloom?

So I've been thinking about that time loop au and nfksjdd

Ok so the obvious way this would go down is that the Winx, at the end of season 4, wake up back at the start of the show

Bloom is really confused as to why Mike and Vanessa bought her the same bike?? And then Stella falls in, in her intro outfit, and they're like "Wait. What day is it?" And they both realize they've gone back in time

Aisha, waking up in her old bed room to her nanny lecturing her about all the rules about sleeping and waking up shes not following: OH FUCK NO

Aisha, calling Stella after she jumped out of the window: Pick me up

Stella: I'll pass off Aisha as my friend, and I'll just tell Griselda that I found a fairy on earth. What the fuck is she going to do? Let the last earth fairy flounder

Bloom: oh my god are we just gonna have to let Faragona lie to us

Aisha, vibrating in her seat: I get to be included on the early stuff

Tecna, Flora and Musa are already in the dorm room like GUYS WHAT THE FUCK

and the princess trio is like WE KNOW

Tecna: does this mean we have the upper hand over the Trix???

Musa: oh god, pre-therepy Riven

Flora: we have to re take all our classes

Stella: We! Are! In! Hell!

I like to imagine they're still in their magic winx form just so they can bitch about it bdnsns and complain

The Trix are technically stronger than them because the Winx are in their weakest form, but the Winx have years of experience fighting them so it's weirdly even

Stormy: something fuck-y is going on with thes girls

Icy: Darcy, figure it out

Darcy: Fine

Later, when Darcy is trying to sneak into their dorm

Musa: BEEP BEEP BITCH, I CAN HEAR YOU

Flora: what about Roxy

Bloom: oh my god, what about Roxy

Anyways it's just the girls being unhinged during s1

The Trix probably still manage to steal Bloom's power and they're all very grumpy about it

And then they try to warn everyone during s2 and NO ONE LISTENS, Rip

Bloom: wait, how the fuck are we going to achieve Charmix

Musa: *screams into a pillow*

Dark Bloom wouldn't happen. S2 would be a fucking mess

Bloom: we're still gonna fuck with Mitzi, right?

Musa: yeah obviously

Griffin would be so dumbstuck during twinning witches bc they act like a well oiled machine

There's not much they can do about Valtor, they just have to suffer though season 3

Stella, grabbing Chimera: Never talk to me or my little sister ever again

Aisha is grinding her teeth at the state of Andros but can't do much, but she does grab Nabu early on into the season

Nabu is all like ⁄(⁄ ⁄•⁄-⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄ bc the coolest fairy he's ever met is suddenly hitting on him and what deity's favor did he happen to garner

Stella doesn't get turned into a monster at her princess ball by Cassandra, anything that ruins my sister au will be changed no exceptions, bc Stella was expecting it

Enchantix is gained different but still gained bc these girls don't know what self preservation is

Fighting Valtor is easier because they know what he's gonna do next, but still hard bc Valtor

But since they already know about the water stars and aren't gonna believe Valtor's bullshit, after they all get Enchantix they nearly murder him and he gets away in his true form gravely injured in panic mode

S4 is so easy however bc they just grab Roxy, get the Believix powers, don't free the earth faries until after they've kicked the wizards back to where they belong and then deal with the earth faries

Nabu is closely guarded at this time, he is very confused, but appreciates that every one seems to care about him so much

And then what ever caused the loop doesn't happen again and everything is a-ok dksndjsjd

I'm also thinking about Riven getting to naturally go though a redemption arc with out Darcy setting him back and pushing him forward

Everyone keeps mixing up Sky and Brandon's names, and Brandon knows they know but doesn't know how

Bloom meets up with Diaspro instead of fighting her, and that plot point gets so much weirder

Bloom: btw I'm gonna free you from your abusive parents

Diaspro: um?????

They'd be so happy when they get Enchantix back, bc they'd feel so squished in magic Winx and Charmix

During the first movie when Riven starts acting weird, Aisha just puts him in a bubble bc Musa will not be getting stabbed again

They speed run that too jngkwkekem

Let's watch: Winx Nickelodeon Special I

Okay, I made the step and watched the nickelodeon Winx Special. And OMG it’s so bad lmao. But today I am not alone reviewing – my best friend H-chan succored me and I swear, her comments are comedy gold. Just like I she knows Winx from her childhood but is no fan of it anymore so I am even more glad, that she agreed to watch it with me! Okay, let’s start. (H is her and L is me)

H: What's this for a really stupid new opening? I want "Heller als Licht*"!!! *the original German opening song for s1 and s2

H: Gardenia looks like in a bad computer game, the trees are floating 😂

H: she goes to bed with her clothes on

L: At least she takes off her shoes

H: other outfits? that's totally confusing (everyone wearing their s3 outfits)

H: And Bloom rides her bike without a helmet. A very bad example again for the children

H: what??? Stella doesn't even have her real scepter!! It used to look like a hubcap. now it looks like a virus

Watching the Weird CGI Movie Because S3 Felt Unfinished Part 4:

Stella should go into medicine. Clearly she has amazing healing abilities, and her bedside manner is impeccable

"Miss Griselda, you can't do that! We graduated!" Lmao, Im glad they managed to include some interactions between Griselda and Stella. I love them

Awww, Kiko got better about having to share Bloom

I am trying and failing not to be a little bitter about the fact that they dedicated more time to the Winx reuniting with the pixies than with each other

The constant theme in Bloom's character of not feeling like she's good enough, or worth the trouble is just. It really gets me, man

I love that they're hanging out in their old dorm as if they never left. Idk what option is funnier: That it was purposely left empty for them to come back to, or that they told the new residents to scram😂

Ok, for the most part I don't have any real beef with the writing in the movie itself. The flaws come more from trying to fit something that needed a full season into so little time BUT

I fucking hate that they're suddenly having Bloom refer to her adoptive parents by their names. She never did that before. Hell, at least in this dub they even got the more familiar "mom and dad" while Marian and Oritel got either their names or "mother and father". It's a dumb change

Drowning While Burning

Summary: Daphne is drowning, being pulled deeper and deeper by the currents ( a Daphne character study based on s1)

Once, when she was a small child, a storm had ravaged the castle for several days. Her parents had known it was coming, and had been preparing for the city to be sheltered for a week. Jobs were being called off, and families encouraged to remain home.

Daphne was blissfully unaware to the panic of frenzied work that had hit to castle, her eyes too fixed on the black clouds moving that slowly filled the horizon, and the tingling thunder that she could almost hear if she just

Listened.

Rain beat down the roof, pellets smacking against the smooth walls with a warlike intensity. It was as though the sky was trying to flood the city, to beat down all that had reached up and encroached in its domain. Lightning burned against the rainclouds, illuminating all their tumultuous angles. It was a mess of geometry that even years of schooling later Daphne would never be able to comprehend.

Thunder cracked through rooms, booming down hallways with ferocious intensity. It rattled the armor lining the walls, like thousands of soldiers quaking in their boots.

Far from running into her parents’ arms, Daphne remained at the window for long stretches of each day. Her face smudged the glass as her eyes struggled to make sense of the water-distorted images.

Her vision wasn’t necessary for her understanding though, because Daphne could feel each raindrop that clattered against the ground of the land, the tormentous rage of the storm. And she adored it.

Yet the storm passed, and her life returned to its routine of tutors and training.

She had always admired stories of heroes, of the rage and justice that drove them, of the way they pushed and pushed and pushed until they got what they wanted.

Whenever Daphne pushed like that, she just grounded.

She wanted to fight against the current, but she just kept getting dragged deeper and deeper into the depths.

Flames licked across Daphne’s fingers as she lit her way through the flatlands of Domino, only faint rays of the second sun to light her way otherwise. Fire still burned, a fact her teachers had always been remiss to mention. One would think that controlling it, the heat of the flames wouldn’t be felt. But they still rushed through her fingertips, trying to melt away skin and bone until she was nothing but particles in the air.

But the flames didn’t hurt her. They only burned.

Behind her a guard followed, metal clanging as pieces of his armor jumbled together. How embarrassing it must be, she thought, to be so scared of something that you’ll wrap yourself in metal and try to shut the world out. Yet so many did.

Daphne didn’t know fear, back then, and so when the guard called for her to turn back, to return to the castle, Daphne merely continued marching forwards.

There was much in Domino Daphne had never got the chance to see, stuck as she was in her pretty little ceramic castle. The forests where beats romed, the sand dunes that crawled with clawed insects, the rivers that destroyed the stones that blocked their path.

Daphne wished to see it all.

Her feet were bare as she climbed to the top of the dune. Her toes sunk into sand as she stood atop it, looking out over the golden sea, behind her still able to hear the metal clanging of her guard.

She had been practicing magic for so long in that stuffy too-big castle, with all its rules and handicaps. Daphne brought the light she had summoned close to her chest, and let it

It crackled around her skin, burning through every opening she’d give it. Energy coalesced around her being.

She was the guardian of the Dragon Flame, the force of creation. What more was there for her than this?

Sand fell away deeper into the desert, the earth cracking open as large, jagged claws struck out, digging into the ground and dragging its body along. 5 eyes swiveled until they were all locked on Daphne. It stared at her light, and she hoped it burned away its retinas.

Her teeth were bared, jagged. The flames tugged her body along and she gave into them, charging at the beast. The dragon roared to life within her, ready to attack as she saw fit.

And then she was bat away with a single claw, ribs breaking under its heavy weight, and she was sent rolling away.

Daphne was grounded for that day, after she awoke to tears from her parents. She held the tears close to her chest, and realized heroes weren’t real, because how could one be prepared for and win each battle? Each useless battle?

Temperance. Patience. Not every day is a storm. Choose when to rage because even a fire cannot burn forever.

She released her body to the current, her limbs flailing as she was dragged along. Her mind could finally wander, outside of the panic of movement, and ideas flooded her thoughts.

Alfea was strict, but no stricter than the castle. Rules were set in place, and Daphne learned them. What use was breaking a rule, when she didn’t even know them? Each action must be thought through, and Daphne would be making informed decisions.

She received top marks in every class, the librarian becoming a presence she was more used to than her own roommate from how much time she spent studying there. Her professors praised her diligence, even Griselda seeming to have a soft spot for her.

I don’t get it, her roommate admitted to her when Daphne returned to their room with a dozen textbooks balanced in her arms. You’re a princess, with the strongest force in the universe. What could you need this much studying for?

Daphne shook her head at that. Power is nothing if one can’t control and channel it. Sure, I’m powerful, but what would that mean if I didn’t know how to cast a single spell, or judge the best way to solve a situation?

Knowledge is not power, knowledge is merely the way power can be exerted most efficiently.

With her flames, she burned away all the hazards in the woods Professor Palladium had sent her to for her examination.

With her knowledge, she skipped class the next week to go get ice cream in Magix with her roommate to cheer her up for her less-than-average score.

She swam with the current, angling her body just a tad upwards, though from the memories that were slowly swirling in her skull, she knew she’d never reach the surface.

The monsters had come out of nowhere. Or to be more specific, they came from the rot the Ancestral Witches had slowly been spreading all over Magix. A tar that slowly drained the life from every forest, that cast furtive shadows in the eyes of everyone. The reason for the dwindling letter she received from her ever-busy parents.

The reason for the monsters that had appeared, all wrong angles and grotesque limbs, rising out of the ground, out of the forested depths.

Alfea was too far away, her group had ventured deep into the forest for their project. One of them sent up a sparkler, magical lights now dancing over their location so that anyone out there would come save them.

But they had traversed too far, and now they were out of range.

Stupid, Daphne called herself. A stupid moronic idiot. You spend all your time studying and you couldn’t have taken two drops of common sense and guessed something would go wrong?

Daphne had always been too exploratory.

She dodged out of the way of a titanic punch, burning away its skin as she let fire wrap around herself. Whispered words that fell from textbooks into her mouth, she felt her flames morph into light, crackling with energy, and she hurled the bolt at the creature, already wrapped in her roommate’s water.

Then she heard a cry, it pierced through the sounds of battle, the guttural shrieks of the monsters and the calls of spells. Her head whipped around to see the fire of one of her kin, her people, be whipped away by a sweep of a monster’s tail, and claws close in to rake across her chest and tear out her heart.

Daphne dove, her flames igniting the air as she rocketed through the sky and tackled her charge out of reach.

Ice flooded her veins as claws sliced through her back, catching on her wings and shredding those too.

And the coalescence of her magic fell to

Were her screams loud? Did they crack through the sky like that which she had earlier? Was she turning heads?

Was she?

She was.

Daphne was, and Daphne had someone to protect. The responsibility of the crown, no, the responsibility of power settled upon her. She had people to protect, a world she loved.

And as blood poured from her shattered back, the flames pushed their way out of the open cracks. The red liquid was set aflame, and it disintegrated into the smoky air, becoming just a part of her flames.

A new pair of wings burst out of her skin, forcing the air to make room for them. Heat cracked her body open, and Daphne let herself burn with all that she had saved up.

Today was the day she’d storm.

But who would she be if she didn’t try?

Daphne’s dress pooled on the floor in perfect ripples as she sat in her chair, back straight and hands folded. Her face was the picture of serenity, the tiara sitting on her hair gleamed in the light from the solitary window.

Daphne knew how to cover the cracks in her appearance, where the fire slipped out. She was nervous, yes, but now was not to time to show it. The world was at war, and with her new responsibilities she would be the pillar of strength they’d turn to.

Faragonda had wished her luck, yesterday as she’d been handed her diploma and officially graduated. Palladium told her that she was the finest student he’d had the pleasure to teach. Griselda had told her that she wouldn’t fail, she’d lived up to her high standards after all.

Daphne had not cried then either.

The fire was constantly there, simmering in her bone marrow. Her blood was lava, hotly pumping through her body as her heart pounded away with every step she took.

Daphne didn’t feel very strong though. The universe could be weaved by her fingertips if she just stretched herself enough, and yet she felt like a scared little girl.

And that was okay, because fear was something Daphne had learned, and it was something that wouldn’t stop her. Fear was just knowledge of danger, on some level, instinctual or otherwise.

Daphne was in danger, yet so was everyone else. The world was at war, and she’d had a target drawn on her back from the day she was born.

Why not illuminate that sign?

The door creaked open and a guard gestured for her to follow. Daphne’s heels clicked against the floor and she walked through the halls. Her dress trailed behind her, and ribbons danced with the movement.

Daphne was just a girl, with only 20 years of knowledge crammed into her head. It was fair for her to be scared. But now, she had a purpose, a reason her flames continued to burn day and night.

She took her place in the hall, all eyes turning to her as she glided through them, looking up at her mother and father. They smiled at her, their faces worn and aged, sadness lining them that they had not done their jobs well enough to prevent their daughter from ever having to take this responsibility.

Off to the side, her younger sister Bloom was sobbing. Daphne knew, with all her heart and all the power of the Dragon’s Flame that roared through her, that she would do anything to make it so that Bloom would never have this burden.

But Daphne, Daphne could carry it. She would. This was her choice.

And her parents laid the mask across her eyes, and magic drenched over her as she was accepted as one of the Nymphs of Magix.

Water poured over her, fast and furious as the lake raged. Was it trying to drown her? She was its protector!

Daphne glided through the halls, her wings too worn out to materialize any longer. Her blood burned away before it touched the ground, thankfully not leaving a trail for the Witches to follow.

Like they wouldn’t just track her flame, why did it even matter?

She laid her palm against her sister, feeling the fire underneath Bloom’s own skin, the Flame they both shared. Daphne had often wondered if Bloom’s magic, her experience, would be anything like Daphne’s?

There was no time wondering.

Sparks lighted the air as Daphne drew her hand in circles, a chant falling from her lips with instinctual memory. Space ripped open at her command, and with only one final look, Daphne shoved her sister off to safety.

Then she turned around, shadows already crawling across the floor towards her light. Could she win against the Ancestral Witches? Daphne had no room for doubt.

If she perished, then so be it, her family was already torn, her people slaughtered, she had vowed her life to them.

Daphne wanted to live, but she wanted to live with the circumstances she chose.

This was a fight she chose to have, she’d rise to this challenge.

Fire arced across the walls, burning away stone and the murky shadows with it. Daphne marched, her hands alight with magic and fury. Her wings were burned away, the vestiges of them turned into pure power.

And Daphne hurled it all at the witches.

Light Shattered.

Darkness Rose.

And Daphne Burned.

Or was the lake raging with her? Raging at the injustices committed against her? Was this her now?

Daphne sank to the bottom of Lake Roccaluce, sand parting for her immaterial body as the waves swarmed around her, embracing her. There was no real light this deep beneath the surface, but Daphne produced her own, glowing with the sheer existence of her.

She had lost. Despite all her efforts, all the roles she had undertaken, her world had still fallen to the assault of the Ancestral Witches.

Her home was destroyed, her parents gone, and Bloom lost somewhere on Earth.

And here Daphne was, stuck in the depths where no one ever went. The fire barely present within her soul anymore, there was only cold frost.

Daphne had failed.

No, no she had not failed one thing. She had kept Bloom safe.

Was that enough?

That would have to be.

The witches may have killed Daphne, ridding her of what was now her mortal husk. But Daphne was still here. And she didn’t have to be alive and in her body to burn.

In fact, Daphne’s spirit had been on fire for quite a long time. It had always burned with her love and her anger and her purpose. She watched the waters torment all around her, rippling and beating against their earthen walls.

And Daphne knew that the next time, she would storm, blazing more brightly in the rage of nature than ever before.

You know what would be the real treat for old fans of winx? Original 3 seasons in original design, but told through the eyes of adults. How did Griffin deal with Trix in s1 when they were still in school? And Faragonda with the whole Bloom secret? How did everyone treat Mirta when she transferred? And what about when the real Avalon came after the fake one? Not to mention all the hard decisions... Surely not all faculty always agreed, especially when they sent Winx somewhere dangerous. What kind of politics did they have? Etc etc. There is sooooo much material that’s ALREADY THERE. Why did they have to make something completely new?

I agree that they should have stuck closer to the canon storyline since there was enough there to make a show and it could have been a pretty mature and dark show but I don’t think that they could have done that from the PoV of the adults. The adults weren’t that involved in anything happening, really, and that would have to be changed in order to make the whole thing their PoV. However, if you give them a more prominent role, a lot of the events will have to change. Season 3 when Valtor concealed Cloud Tower and Griffin had to wait for Winx to find it? Gone. Faragonda doing fuck all when the pixies were under a spell that would lead Darkar to the Codex in Pixie Village? Removed. Saladin not even trying to protect his piece of the Codex? Sent into the void. Griselda being nowhere to be found at the end of season 1? Nope. The whole storyline would change significantly. Which is not to say that they couldn’t do that but I think that if we are going for the PoV of the adults, it would be best to tell the story of the Company of Light. They would’ve had much more room to work with it since we don’t know a lot about it and that was a literal war. It doesn’t get more mature or darker than that. All the things about the adults could have been included even if it were actually still from the PoV of Winx. I actually don’t think that what the adults had to do (aka mostly paperwork and preparing classes) was interesting or substantial enough for a whole season. The action was with Winx and it is pretty annoying that they decided to create a whole new thing despite that.

I gotta be honest, I’m kinda possessive of my fics and wouldn’t want to give them out of my hands. That being said, I do kinda wish Sparked would be over already so I can move to other stuff. At least let me skip the next chapter so I can be nice to the otp again!!! But no, I promised myself to see this through, so that’s what I’m gonna do.

F again, huh? Snooping for spoilers again, ye greedy bastards! Too bad, that'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Instead, I’ll show you my actual favorite dialogue I’ve written so far, from chapter 5 of sparked:

(Honorable mentions go to Valtor's first conversation with Griffin and literally every interaction with the Trix, I love them so much.)

I love this scene so much because it was basically writing itself, the words were just pouring out of me and I really feel like I managed to capture enough personality for each character. Especially Griselda! She's such a minor character, but I'm projecting a lot of McGonaggle vibes onto her and hope that fills the gaps. Her relationship with her students — and Stella in particular — is so negative at the start of s1, but I really got the feeling they smoothed that out over the course of the seasons. She's strict, but for a reason: her students are literal disaster magnets. She hasn’t slept peacefully in years!

I'm really proud of this.

WINX REDUX AU SUMMARIZED: SEASON 1 (The Dragon Aura)

Or, in which I give the basics of what I’ve changed about the story for the AU. It was originally way more descriptive but if I kept it in that style I would have finished in 2039 and I ain’t got time for that. Here we cover S1, as the title suggests!

WINX REDUX AU SUMMARIZED: SEASON 1

Stella accidentally teleports to Earth when escaping Knut, meeting Bloom.

They fight Knut again later that day aided by the Specialists - Sky, Brandon, Riven, Timmy and Nex.

After a month on Earth to recover, she brings her to Alfea to enroll fully.

Eldora visits Bloom’s house after they leave, noting the strange events happening near them and leaves a cryptic message to her parents.

She meets Flora, Musa, Tecna and “Layla” after settling down, and decide to go eat out to get to know each other better.

They battle three Believix witches calling themselves the Trix, composed of Polaris, Obscuris and Tempestis. Bloom transforms into her Charmix for the first time.

Stella slips up and reveals Layla’s actually Aisha, who came to Alfea to escape her parents.

The First Dance happens, and as they dance, Bloom asks “Brandon” out. Flora meets Mirta and Lucy, and start a friendship. Same goes for Aisha and Nex.

The trip to Melmamora occurs, and Bloom spontaneously gets Kiko as a pet, who is a talking winged rabbit. The blue troll doesn’t exist here - the guys simply lose some important cargo. Bloom notices how Riven and Stella are trying to not look at each other and wonders if there’s something there.

The Winx team is officially formed.

The Day of the Rose arrives, and while Flora and Tecna go visit family, the rest remain on Magix and go visit the fair.

Riven meets Darcy on the race, and quickly become friends. Musa senses something weird about her, but also strikes an unlikely friendship with her.

Musa gets into a small fight with two witches after losing track of her friends, but thanks to Aisha appearing they scare them off. Musa starts to develop a crush on her.

Darcy hangs out with them for most of the day, and picks up Stella and “Sky”’s plans to go downtown on a few days to search for a present - Brandon’s birthday is coming up.

Bloom starts having dreams with Daphne.

A few days pass and Stella goes to shop for a bit with Sky, leaving Bloom her ring since she wasn’t gonna need it - Sky has a bike after all.

Stella comes back at midnight, worrying everyone but she dismisses them by simply saying she’s tired and she’ll explain in the morning.

She doesn’t go to her classes and Bloom finds her having torn most of her room apart searching for the ring. Bloom dips for a bit telling her she’s gonna get more people to help, but brings Griselda along when she comes back. She immediately picks up on the illusion and Stella disappears into darkness. She calls the police, but Bloom and the Winx have other ideas.

They go over to Red Fountain to ask Sky if they went separate ways after getting the stuff, but Sky is also missing - no one has seen him since yesterday. The girls then go to Magica City, and thanks to a small location spell they go to the warehouses near the edges, where they believe Sky and Stella are.

They fight the Trix again but lose, and in exchange for the royals’s safety she gives them the ring.

The girls immediately go to Cloud Tower (since they suspect the Trix go there) but don’t manage to enter, instead finding the ring in the area seemingly dropped off.

The Trix got rid of the ring after realizing it’s not what they needed for their plan, and since keeping it in their room would prove counterproductive they just dropped it near the entrance to they don’t cast suspicion on them.

The girls get back stupid late from that adventure, and as a punishment they’re forced to clean their area of the dorms without the use of magic. To enforce the rule, they put a magic dampener on them, leaving them relatively powerless.

Faragonda gets a magic reading from all of them as she does this, and realizes Bloom has a Dragon Aura.

The cleaning goes without a hitch thanks to inviting the guys for extra help. Musa talks with Riven about Darcy, and Tecna and Timmy seem to be getting along super well.

Brandon and Riven don’t seem to get along all that well, but Brandon keeps trying to actually be Riven’s friend.

Bloom tries to make research on Daphne but fails, but does learn of Domino in the process.

On a random outing to Magix with the girls, the witches from the Day of the Rose attack them allied with their friends, forcing the girls to escape until they’re cornered by an entire gang of witches and some other fairies.

In desperation, Bloom accidentally tapes into her Dragon Aura, melting the floor and knocking everyone out, including herself. Stormy was near the place and catches this insane display of magic, gets convinced Bloom can be the solution to her problems.

The midterms arrive, and Bloom gets harassed by the Trix in the middle of via hacking the Chamber, convincing themselves she has a Dragon Aura and start researching ways of draining her power.

Bloom and Brandon are still dating, but feel their relationship is getting cold.

Bloom goes back to Earth for the holidays, connects a bit with Mitzi and Selina again and stops her mother’s shop from being destroyed by some asshole entrepreneurs. She discovers Aura reading is a thing and freaks out, as well as how she got adopted.

Eldora appears again, Selina recognizes her as her grandma, and sensing something in her, she takes her away for a bit as Bloom goes back to Alfea.

The girls help Flora with searching for a plant in Melmamora, and end up helping the Limnads in their trouble.

Miss Magix occurs, and Mirta reluctantly helps Lucy enter with her magic. They have a fight after Lucy loses.

Bloom starts researching her past, believes the Trix’s lie that she’s just a ticking time bomb, and leaves Alfea to save everyone, but Mirta (who knew of what happened thanks to Flora) intercepts her and tells her the info was fake.

The Trix arrive and after a battle, Obscuris and Polaris turn Mirta into a pumpkin.

They take Pumpkin Mirta back to Alfea and Flora starts to look for ways to get her back with Palladium’s help.

The Winx start to have reoccuring, horrible nightmares, but with Daphne and Mirta’s Aura’s help, they manage to intercept the spell causing them and fight a monster made out of their nightmares.

Faragonda arrives to the battle and immediately destroys the monster, and also unveils the Trix’s identities who were there in the fight as Icy, Darcy and Stormy.

The Trix don’t come back to Cloud Tower and instead escape to the woods, their cover blown.

The Roccaluce Paladins start looking for them, and Knut quits right then and there, starts to help them with what he knows.

The Red Fountain Academic Exhibition happens, and Bloom meets/attacks Diaspro, believing her to be the Trix in disguise.

The reveal happens - Sky is Brandon and Brandon is Sky. Diaspro also calls out that Stella knew all this time.

Bloom passes out, and when she comes back to her senses, immediately breaks up with Sky and refuses to talk to Stella, accusing her of being a bad friend.

Riven disappears as well, but calls Stella up for some explanations.

Stella and Riven talk about what’s been happening and reveal they’re childhood best friends - but thanks to the cover up they were forced to stop talking to each other. Riven was forced to join the others after a fallout with his former team, which he doesn’t want to talk about.

Bloom goes back to Earth for a week to try and get her mind off all that’s been happening.

Incredibly vulnerable on Earth both physically and emotionally, the Trix arrive and manage to drain her of her Dragon Aura, revealing that she’s also the lost princess of Domino.

Bloom believes herself powerless, and the Trix start their attack, claiming Cloud Tower and summoning the Army of Decay.

Riven goes to Cloud Tower to get some answers, but falls prey to the Trix’s traps.

The war starts in full, and the Winx go to Domino’s remains to see if there’s a way to fully restore Bloom’s Aura and her powers.

Red Fountain falls and is forced to retreat to Alfea. Many lives are lost.

Bloom finally meets Daphne and what became of her - she was trapped in her own weapon by Myraria when she attacked Domino, and has been resting at the bottom of Lake Roccaluce for the last 18 years.

She shows Bloom that while they did drain her Aura, she still has magic, and manages to transform into Charmix again.

The Specialists go fetch them and Bloom and Sky finally talk about what happened. Tecna asks Timmy out.

Diaspro goes to Alfea to try and talk to Bloom but gets caught up in the war, stays to help and finally talk with both Sky and Bloom.

They do have a small talk but they’re cut short by a mission to Cloud Tower, with the guys, Knut, Stella and Bloom volunteering to rescue the trapped Witches.

They find Riven after escaping some traps, and Stella hugs him as she calls him out on his recklessness. Sky does the same but doesn’t quite understand why.

After a small battle with the Trix, with Bloom suddenly losing the ability to transform again, they’re saved by Griffin and the Witches, and manage to escape Cloud Tower with extra help from the shadows thanks to Discorda.

Bloom and Sky take a detour to distract the Army of Decay and land near Lake Roccaluce, and after a short talk, Sky leaves for Magica City while Bloom goes to see if she can talk to Daphne.

She reaches the lake and delves into it, and after a short chat with Daphne and realizing the Trix only drained part of her Aura - and her power will always be hers and hers alone, Bloom gets renewed confidence and manages to obtain her Glamourix, proclaiming herself the Fairy of the Dragon’s Flame.

At around the same time, Flora manages to finally break the spell on Mirta, returning her to her human form and earning Glamourix for her efforts.

As they prepare for the final battle, Stella and Brandon talk for a bit, and decide that once this is all over, they’ll start dating again.

Now with new powers, she picks up Sky and go back to Alfea, at the same time the Trix plan their final move.

A full-on battle ensues, the Winx vs Darcy and Stormy while Bloom faces off with Icy.

After a long elemental battle, the stolen Dragon Aura starts to diminish until there’s nothing left, and without it, the Army falls apart and the Trix are defeated.

Mirta and Lucy are reunited, and finally manage to make up after so long.

They’re sent to Roccaluce Rehabilitation Center to see if they can be redeemed, and with a final party, the Winx end their first year at Alfea.

Under the earth, deep into a dark castle, a seal is broken thanks to the amount of magic used during the war, and a dark being seems to start forming...

But with Mitzi she still struggles to stand up for herself like she wants to (her arms were shaking hard)
