It’s Bedtime Pumpkin: Lloyd Hansen x spouse!reader
Warnings: slight angst, y/n subtly not liking coffee, sleep deprivation
Excuse the grammar mistakes, I am very tired but I cannot fall asleep until I write down this idea
Tumblr media
Insomnia was a bitch. Sorry, insomnia was making you it’s bitch. That, and your nightmares kept you from wanting to sleep even if you could.
Usually your husband would be home to wrap you in his arms and protect you from anything that dared disturb your sleep, but he was out on a job, and you didn’t know when he would be back.
So you had been up for a week, it’s not a big deal to you, you had developed a “routine” for when Lloyd wasn’t home, and you had almost perfected it:
1. Kiss Lloyd goodbye and make sure he has extra snacks in his bag just incase
2. Go to work, the busy rush of your job was an easy distraction from your exhaustion
3. Clean and throw yourself into as many jobs as you possibly can, your current hyper fixation should do the trick
4. Lots of sugar and food, eating kept you awake.
Rinse and repeat daily (except for step one of course)
It was unusual for Lloyds job to last more than two or three days, so of course the exhaustion was getting to you, but at this point, you had convinced yourself that sleep was the worst possible option, that it was life threatening. It was getting so hard to stay awake that you were tempted to drink coffee, but alas your distaste for the beverage won, and you were running out of ideas.
Currently it was two in the morning, the house was spotless, all of your work projects for the next two months had been finished hours ago, and you were out of yarn, thread, fabric, flour, chocolate and basically any art or baking supply you could think of so coming up with a fun new craft to be focused on was out of the question.
Now, in a last ditch attempt to stay awake, you were doom scrolling on your phone, from baking compilations to tumbler stories to some of the filthiest smut you could find, you were looking at everything to stay awake.
If Lloyd were here, he would have scolded you for not taking proper care of yourself, telling you that you need to find a way to sleep without him, and (as your therapist does constantly) suggest some form of anti-anxiety medication to help with your fears.
But he wasn’t here. In fact you couldn’t remember the last time you had talked to him, it felt like years although it had probably only been a day or so. You missed him desperately during the times that he was away, but you knew he loved his job so you were happy for him.
You had switched to instagram and were scrolling through reels when you heard some scuffling downstairs by the front door. It was so quiet that if you were asleep, you wouldn’t have heard it, but you of course were not asleep, just halfway delusional from lack thereof. Without thinking, you grabbed your guitar which you had been taking lessons for, and crept out of your room brandishing the instrument like a baseball bat. You got down the stairs and turn the corner only to scream in fright and drop the guitar when you ran straight into your husband.
He in turn, screamed in surprise causing you to jump and fall.
Immediately he had his arms wrapped around you and was holding onto you tightly before you could hit the ground.
You could hear his rich laugh “honey I’m home” he said still laughing while he pulled you up so he could face you. You began laughing too, finding the situation quite comical.
Lloyd checked his watch “why are you up so late pumpkin? Are you ok?” He asked
Just the question sent you into hysterics. From laughing loudly to sobbing, your body crumpled to the floor, relieved that you could finally rest.
“Woah woah woah, what’s going on here pumpkin, hey sweetheart what’s the deal?” Lloyd crouched down to you and you tried to calm down.
“I’m so tired, I’m so so so tired, I just want to sleep, but I couldn’t” his face softened at that, and he easily picked you up off of the floor.
“Come on then, it’s bedtime pumpkin” with that he was carrying you both up the stairs and placed you into your shared bed.
He kissed your hand before he left your embrace for at the most fifteen seconds (the utter betrayal) to strip down to his underwear so he could crawl into bed with you.
Thankful he had chosen to not wear a shirt as he pulled you into his chest, and gave you as much skin to skin contact as he could, you breathed a sigh of relief. His body was radiating warmth and safety. You finally felt like you could relax.
“Are we gonna need to have a talk about your sleeping habits, baby?” Lloyd broke the silence.
“Mmm probably, but can we do it tomorrow, I’m tired, and I missed you so much” you mumbled
He kissed you forehead “sure pumpkin, go to sleep, I’ll be right here when you wake up.”
“Thanks bubba” the soft rhythmic rise and fall of his chest lulled you into a deep peaceful sleep, unknowingly to you, Lloyd was just as tired, and crashed as hard as you did. Neither of you could sleep without the other.
The end.

His Sunshine, Chapter 5
Word Count:  1.8k
Warnings: angst, dubcon relationship, age gap

“Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon, Court…and then you can talk about whatever it is that you wanted to discuss.  I mean…I just landed, so I should be home soon.  Are you home?”
“You shouldn’t be saying my name in public, sweetheart,” he chuckled softly, “what if there are people listening in, huh?  They’ll start thinking we’re a couple…the agency might get ideas…and don’t even get me started on how this’ll look to the public.”
“Oh yeah, because calling you by a number in a public place seems like the appropriate thing to do," I reminded him.  I could hear the chuckle on the other side of the line before sighing.  I bit my lip, “are you okay?  You’ve been sounding…off?”
“It’s just been a while since I’ve seen you, kid.”
“I know.”
“I was worried for a while…when Dani said that you’d been acting out.  When I was on the lead for four.”
I bit my lip again, my hand instinctively reaching for my soulmate mark as I thought about Lloyd.  My heart began to ache for the man that I barely knew, and I sighed, knowing that I was simply reaching for him out of habit.  I started to get a warm feeling in my stomach at the thought of him.
The man I didn’t really know.
The man who’d been searching for me for years.
The man who promised to make love to me like my life was some extravagant romance novel.
I’d managed to put him on a pedestal, regardless of how he’d killed my parents, and had been searching for me.  All I wanted was to find the comfort in him that I had since the first day I met him.  I felt the quell within my stomach, the warmth spreading through my belly.  My heartrate began to even out as I thought of the mysterious, dark man, “I-I had a moment, Court.  B-But I’ve been working on myself…ever since-“
“With Suzanne…I know, Sunny.” He admitted sadly, “Dani told me about…the incident.”
“Sunny?  Sweetheart?” I laughed, pulling my hand away from my mark.  I frowned to myself when the feeling didn’t fade, and I felt a nervousness brewing in my stomach.  When my laughter trailed off, I could hear the ragged breaths of Six across the line, “talk about tension…if the agency didn’t think we were together before, they certainly did if they listened to the little nicknames you’re throwing my way.”
“Sunny?” he asked softly.
He knew me all too well.   He knew that something was up.  He could tell by the waver in my voice.  I was looking around, searching for why I felt him so close, yet couldn’t see him.
“Six…he’s here,” I said nervously, admitting the truth that I already knew.  My hand went to reach back to my soulmate mark, but I stopped myself at the last minute.  I could feel that he was here, but if I touched my mark again, I knew that we’d both feel the pull and I would undoubtedly give me away if hadn’t found me already…and since the last one still hadn’t faded away, I knew that there had to have been a reason why.  He had to have been closer than I’d thought, “I-I can feel him.  I-I don’ think I know where he is…but I can feel him!”
His breath hitched, “h-has he spotted you, eight?”
I shook my head, my pace picking up as I slowly tried to analyze the crowd.  When I didn’t answer he repeated his question.
“EIGHT?”
“I-I don’t see him…bu-but I can feel him,” I said quickly, “I-I don’t know where he is.  I can’t see him through all of these people.”
“How close are you to an exit?” he asked.
“I-I’m about to hit the end of baggage claim.  There’s a few shops and spots to eat.  There are a few places that I could hide in if I really needed to.”
“You don’t need to hide, Sunny…”
“Six…what’s going on?” I asked, “why do you sound like you’re nervous right now?”
“Eight…I didn’t want to tell you this, but he’s had people looking for you… since we started throwing you on your own missions.  We’ve had our suspicions that he’s been catching up to us…but this…he definitely has.  Now, I need you to know how serious this is.  It’s imperative you get out of there now.  You need to leave the airport…and we need to meet up and go to a new location.”
“H-he has people looking for me?”
I felt my heart racing.  The warm feeling that I normally equated with him had all but dissolved, and I was left feeling anxious as I tried to continuously look around.  My heart felt like it was thumping loudly in my ears, and I couldn’t focus.  I felt like I was on the verge of a panic attack.
But I felt calm as I heard him softly in my ear, “you need to calm down, eight.  Remember your training.  Treat this like a hostile situation in an unknown environment.”
“Understood,” I said calmly, trying to even out my breathing, “m-mission objective.”
“Get out of there,” he said firmly, “I have the location of the airport from when I dropped off your bike.  Meet halfway at LAX.  Once you’ve lost him, we can get together and leave.  We’ll meet at the rest stop where the car died last year.”
“O-okay.”
“Are you ready?”
I went to answer, but my breath caught in my throat.  Just across the way, maybe three hundred feet I saw him.  Lloyd was staring directly at me.  His eyes were hidden behind a pair of sunglasses, but I knew that he saw me, just like I knew that it was him.  The way there wasn’t a hair out of place.  He way he stood stock-still as though he were some statue.  My heart both raced and plummeted.
I watched as his own hand went to his soulmate mark, which was covered by his light jacket.  A shiver ran down my spine, but I couldn’t look away from him.  The feeling in my stomach swelled, until I felt the most amazing warmth in me.  His lips curled up into a smile, ever so slightly.
“Eight.”
I froze.
“H-he sees me.”
“Drop everything and run,” he said in a firm tone, “I left your bike in short term parking for you.  The key is in the exhaust.  Ground floor.  East wing.”
“S-six…”
Lloyd removed his hand from his mark and his fingers traced his sunglasses.  I gasped as I saw his cool blue-green eyes as he pulled the aviators away from his face.  His small smile grew until it fully perched itself on his thin lips. He started walking towards me.
“Eight…now!”
I dropped the phone.
I dropped my laptop bag and the backpack that had everything.  My clothes.  My fake ID.  Everything.
His brow lifted just in time to realize what it was that I was doing, and I turned on my heel and ran.  People seemed to be coming from every direction as I pushed forward.  My heart raced in my chest as I ran with everything I had in myself.
I couldn’t stop.  I couldn’t look behind myself.  I knew that if I did, that would provide him with an advantage.  And being that I was shorter than him, I knew that I would have to use every advantage that I could.
Running past a big group, I made sure to knock into a few of them, scattering their luggage carts before ultimately tipping one over.  I could hear the calamity behind myself.  People were yelling that I ‘watch where I’m going.’  A child that had been knocked into was crying.  I heard the faintest call for security to come get the wild girl running through the airport.
I made sure to push another few people out of my way, deliberately running through families and groups, where they would close in on their group and close the gap I’d made, forcing Lloyd to have to run around.  I finally managed to look behind myself when I made it to an escalator.  I jumped between the middle divider and slid down the sleek steel.
Lloyd had lost his sunglasses.  His hair was no longer perfectly shaped as he chased after me.  One of his sleeves looked like he’d pushed someone off him, and it’d been stretched and slightly torn.  His eyes met mine, and I felt my heart drop to my feet.
I felt like I’d betrayed him.
It felt worse than the day in Prague when he found me and Six had shot him with a tranquilizer dart.    His eyes shot away from me with a rage I couldn’t anticipate as I began to lose sight of him.  Someone had grabbed onto him for running into them.
I had enough of a lead as I made it to the short-term parking and located the bike.  My heart felt like it was going to race out of my chest as I sped past the doors, where he’d just managed to come through.  His arms missed me by inches as he tried to reach out and stop me.
Tumblr media
“Hey…hey, you’re okay, eight.”
I cried into Six’s arms.  I’d made it to the rest stop nearly ten minutes ago and trashed the bike behind a hill, but I’d spent the majority of my time cradled up in Six’s arms as I allowed myself to finally break down.
It had been nearly a year since I’d seen Lloyd.  And my heart still called out to him the moment I saw him, regardless of the warning that I’d received from Suzanne…regardless of the fact that I knew he had people looking for me.
I knew that he was my soulmate, and I wanted to have nothing more than to be in his arms, but a much larger part of myself was crying because I knew that deep down, I wasn’t the person that he had first met anymore.
I’d been twisted by the agency; molded into a meticulous killing machine.  I’d been turned into an agent, because of six taking me under his wing.
“I-I ran from him…”
“Sunny…look at me…”
I looked up to the older man that had been protecting  me for the past two y ears, my tears still streaking down my cheeks, “I-I c-“
“Sunshine,” he whispered softly, his hands cupping my face.  I stopped crying, only light sniffles making their way past me.  He cooed at me, his thumbs grazing over my cheeks to wipe away the tears, “hey…we’re okay…I’ve got you, sweetheart.”
“Six, I-“
“Court, sweetheart,” he reminded me gently, “it’s just me and you…you can call me by my first name…you know that…I need you to take a deep breath for me…can you do that, Sunshine?”
“I-“
“Just do it.”
“Cour-“
But I didn’t get to finish my thought when his lips came crashing down on mine.

Huh one of those guys who hates grey man (grey man is gay and said to be an amalgamut of minorities) is trying to say I’m a hater of minorities because I support grey man instead of
white man
hmm. Nor do I support Nordic Chad, who is a white man.
Here’s the screech of the guy who loves white man and hates grey man. It’s quite typical of him to say ‘you don’t know me’ and I suspect he is a closet gay:

His Sunshine, Chapter 4

“Sierra eight…”
“Don’t call me that,” I growled, glaring at one of the other agents.  The man rolled his eyes, and I sat back in my chair.  He chuckled and lifted his phone, no doubt in an effort to annoy me as he mocked me for telling him not to call me by the stupid codename the agency had given me.  I glared at the older man, “I’m serious…don’t call me that.”
“It’s your name,” he said as though it were the most obvious thing ever.  I frowned, and continued to glare at him.  He rolled his eyes, “you’re being dramatic.  You’re an agent, just like everyone else that’s around.  You may be a snot-nosed kid, bu-“
“No,” I seethed, pushing away from my spot at the table, “it’s not.  My name is Sunshine Dawson…I’m from a small town on the other side of the country, and it’s my eighteenth birthday.  I’m not just some kid.  My parents are dead because of you and the organization.”
“Your parents are dead because of Lloyd Hansen, Sierra Eight!” he said forcefully, “your parents are dead because they never adhered to the rules and gave you your proper training.  Had they turned you over when they were supposed to, they might have still been alive.”
“Stop calling me that!”
He turned his attention away from me, and back to his computer, opening it up, “well it’s your codename, whether you want it to be or not.  And you are part of the organization as well.  Six made sure you were accepted and trained properly…you should be grateful that he put in the effort.  That he undid all of the things your pare-“
“Hold your tongue!” I hissed, spinning so that I was facing him once again.  I’d slammed shut his laptop and swiped my hand across the space so that it flew to the ground.  With that as a distraction, I let my dagger catch him just below his throat, “or I’ll make sure you don’t finish any more sentences.”
“Eight.”
“My name…is Sunny.”
“Do it!” he taunted, a sick smile on his face as he leaned forward against the blade, “go ahead…see how much the agency cares about you when you kill one of your own.  Six wouldn’t even be able to protect you.  And you’ll just be some scared little girl.”
“You are not one of mine,” I hissed, pointing my blade’s tip a little more into his throat.  He flinched, but the blade still hadn’t pierced his skin, “none of you are.  Not six.  Not Dani.  The only one that mat-“
“What?” he scoffed, cutting me off, “are you going to say that the only one that matters is your precious little soulmate?  The one that gave up trying to find you?  Think about it, eight, you’ve been here since Prague.  He hasn’t found you.  It’s because he got bored and stopped looking.  You don’t matter to him.”
“You don’t get to talk about him.”
He smirked, “there’s a reason you’re running from it, eight.”
“EIGHT!”
I looked behind myself and saw Dani, a stern look in her eye.
“She’s losing it, Miranda!” the man grunted as I removed my blade from his throat.  His hand went up to it and rubbed at the tender flesh.  I pocketed my dagger and turned to face her, “you think six will be able to keep her in line?  All she does is whine about the agency…gripe about her little psyho soulmate.  I don’t understand why we have to keep wasting resources on her.  He gave up even looking for her.”
“What did I just say?” I growled, my attention turning back to him.
“Eight…enough.”
“Where’s six?”
“He’s on a mission…he’s tracking a rogue from the agency.”
“That’s what we do to the ones who abandon their calling,” the man taunted, shooting me another look, “want six to come and hunt you down?”
“Shut up, Avery!” Miranda growled, “go downstairs and keep watch…I’ll be in here with her.”
“Keep watch on what?” he growled in response, “there’s been no movement in the building for days…I think we’re on a cold trail.  You need to turn over the information so that we can get out of this stupid town.”
“Well thankfully, the agency doesn’t pay you to think, Avery.  Now go watch the bar across the street.  Our intel says that w-“
“Our intel is bullshit and you know it,” he groaned, “six is on the real trail.”
“Well until four is caught, we follow every lead possible,” she hissed, pushing him to the door, “now go.”
She waited until he finally obeyed her orders.  He slammed the door hard behind himself.  It took her a moment before she finally looked at me, “are you okay, Sunny?”
I shot her a look before heading to the coffee pot, “I’m still not talking to you or six.”
“He’s sad that he couldn’t be here…but he knew you’d understand,” she said quickly, ringing her hands, “h-he wouldn’t have missed your birthday if he didn’t have to.”
“I don’t give a damn, Dani…” I shrugged, “I don’t give a damn about any of it.  It all stopped mattering last year.”
“Well, that’s not true.”
I looked back at her.  The rage built in my stomach, and I turned away, grabbing at my cellphone and wallet, “I’m going out.”
“You don’t need to leave.”
“We need groceries,” I lied, shrugging my shoulders at her, “we ran out last night…”
“Eight…”
“Don’t worry, Miranda….I’ll be coming back,” I sighed, looking away from her, “I know running never works…you two jackals always find me…”
“You belong to the agency, eight…”
“I belonged to Lloyd first.”
I didn’t miss the pained look she gave me as I passed her.  Nor did I miss the opportunity to slam the door just a little harder than necessary as I left.
Tumblr media
“I’ll give him that…you are a cute little thing.”
I snapped, turning around to come face to face with a woman that was older than myself.  I felt myself going on the defensive, recognizing her from the photo that I’d seen before where she was clinging to Lloyd, clad in a white dress.  My breath caught in my throat and my heart began to ache; jealous of the position that she’d found herself in, while I was the one that was left alone.
“Suzanne.”
She smiled, “so you aren’t completely in the dark…you know who I am?  What I am?”
“Where’s Lloyd?”
“He’s…preoccupied…I came to you because I followed a lead down one path…and he followed it down the other.”
“Six…”
“I don’t think he would have ever imagined that Court Gentry would leave you with anyone…not after what had happened with your parents…and especially not after the mishap in Prague,” she laughed, “he’s off stalking him like some pathetic schoolboy…”
“And you’re here.”
My mind raced.  I scanned the room, thinking of the ways to escape.  Of ways to injure her and protect myself.
“I’m not here to fight you…” My eyes shot to hers, and she gave me a look, “I’m not some animal…really Sunshine…what do you think of me?”
“I don’t,” I said simply, “everyone is a threat until proven otherwise…it’s how I stay alive…you’re my soulmate’s wife…you came to find me…I would think that you want to harm me.”
“I want you to disappear.”
“I’ve been pretty good at staying off his radar.”
She smirked, “well try harder…he made a mistake this time…and if I know my husband…he won’t make it again…I can’t personally kill you myself, because I know that he would have more than just suspicions.  But I can tell you to stay the fuck away.”
She took a step towards me, and instinctively I reached for my knife.  But she only giggled, swatting her hand playfully in my direction, “oh…he’ll be unhappy if he finds that you made it into the program…you were his sweet, innocent little part of the world…his little perfect ray of sunshine.”
“You sound jealous, Suzanne.”
“I sound careful!” she reminded me, “he’s my husband.  I’ve been married to him long enough to make the demand that you stay away.”
“If you haven’t been paying attention, let me remind you that is what I’ve been doing…”
“So, I’ll tell you again…try harder…” she said in a little firmer tone, “because if I have to come find you…again…it will be a much…angrier conversation…and I don’t care how much training the agency gave you…I’ve been doing it longer…”
My breath caught in my throat, “y-you’re an agent?”
“A long time ago…in a land far away,” she said dreamily, “I was almost as innocent as you…don’t let my husband find you, Sierra eight.  Because you won’t like me when I’m actually coming after you.”
“You can’t kill me,” I reminded her.  There was a feeling in the pit of my stomach that I couldn’t quite shake, but she only smiled, “you said it yourself, you can’t kill me.”
“I said that I couldn’t personally kill you,” she replied, an even gentler reminder, “but Lloyd does have a whole army of men at his disposal…and none of them know about you.  He wanted you to be his little secret, Sunny…which means that they wouldn’t know who you were until after your blood has already drained from you.  Stay.  Away.”

Just a quick note on my post about the movie
Mermaids: The Body Found
I touched on the subject on the Roswell Incident and since some people have decided that I’m insane I just had to say: You don’t have to believe in the paranormal, but that doesn’t change the fact that the Roswell Incident is a well documented moment in US history.
Just cause they don’t teach this shit in schools doesn’t mean it never happened — oh, and sorry I don’t believe in making ableist assumptions about people before I even meet them cause of lies and conflicting stories🙄
