Leslie stretches as she stands up from the chair she'd been seated on. She hates doing her legate-related paperwork, but she does what she must. At the sound of the chair on the floor, a familiar face peers around the corner.

"Mundeinhanem? Are you done with your work?" Síora asks, rounding the doorframe and approaching her. Leslie smiles at her girlfriend fondly, and replies, "Finally. That took way too long."

Síora then strides across the floor, wrapping her girlfriend in a hug and spinning hir around. Leslie giggles, wrapping hir arms around Síora's shoulders.

Síora leans down to blow out the candles that flicker on Leslie's desk, before she takes hir hand. She remarks, "Everyone is waiting for you, mundeinhanem. Let's get going."

"Oh, alright," Leslie chuckles before continuing, "But first..."

She stretches onto her tiptoes, pressing her lips against Síora's. Síora deepens the kiss, the two of them standing there in the dark, aside from the sun shining through the window. When they pull apart, both of them are smiling.

"I love you, mundeinhanem," Leslie says, blushing despite being the one who initiated the kiss. Síora, smiling, responds, "I love you too."

"Hurry up, lovebirds! We're waiting for you!"

Leslie jerks back, flustered, at the sound of Kurt's voice from outside. Then ze starts giggling, Síora quickly joining in.

Between giggles, Leslie says, "We'd best catch up with the others."

First Blood - Greedfall, coming of age cuteness

So i have an excel sheet for all my fics to track stats and this fic is the third highest hit to kudos ratio but only 85 hits and 10 kudos. If that’s not the definition of a hidden gem I don’t know what is. Also it’s just super cute and i love it.

OH LORD, the de Vespe DLC, I was excited for more content when that came out and it delivered. Especially for Kurt and his romance, holy cow. (In other words I WOULD LOVE TO TALK ABOUT IT THANKS FOR GIVING ME AN EXCUSE) I have multiple posts from various playthroughs in my Greedfall gaming tag about the Kurt stuff, from how protective and supportive he is, to him being all "Don't believe the nonsense in Aurelia's files on us" when his is just that he cares too much about the recruits and is too loyal to be bribed and I'm just like. Dude. I knew these things already. Neither one is nonsense, sorry I know you're actually a gigantic softie, in my defense you DIDN'T HIDE IT VERY WELL but his romance dialogue

I also have several posts joking about Kurt's VA owing me compensation for emotional damage with how well he does a lot of personal quest/romance scenes, but the KURT ROMANCE DIALOGUE IN THE DLC OH MY GODDDDDD. OH MY GOD. I have a save right before that conversation and I redid it about five times on the initial run, at least three on each replay, and will occasionally load that save JUST TO HEAR IT AGAIN bc it's so GOOD. He worries about you but knows you can handle yourself, no what's bugging him(and I love that DS is so gentle about the "you know you can talk to me right?") is the arranged marriage thing bc OFC you deserve "better"(/eyeroll) and he's being all doubting his worth again and YOU CAN ASK HIM TO MARRY YOU (THE WAY I WHOOPED first time through, seeing that option) before your uncle can go arranging anything and HIS VOICE. That quiet little "do you really mean what you just said?" is permanently etched into my brain partly bc I've heard eighteen times but whatever. He can't believe it, he has to be dreaming, and then you confirm and his only hesitation is worrying what will happen to you(bc he doesn't matter, he's an insignificant mercenary and Kurt buddy you MATTER TO HER we gotta work on that). And I gotta say that I love your response boiling down to "what's my uncle gonna do about it, he's halfway around the world and he needs me here😎" BAD.ASS. And once he's sure you're sure he's 100% in favor and you exchange I love yous and I melted into an extremely happy puddle.

(I did write a Ves/Kurt wedding fic and it's one of the most breathlessly joyful pieces I've made in my life, both of them were practically vibrating they were so happy)

*slides into your inbox* I was trawling the Greedfall tag since tumblr didn't see fit to tell me there was new content and saw you (+anon) lamenting the lack of Greedfall content and specifically Kurt and I am here both to commiserate that lack and say hi bc I am a Greedfall Enjoyer and Kurt Lover, too. :D I first played in '22, I think, fell in love with the game so hard I started my second playthrough the same day I finished my first, and have played it borderline completionist six or seven times. Three of those romancing Kurt bc I don't think I've ever fallen so hard or fast for video game romance in my LIFE. One of the first post in my Greedfall gaming tag is yelling at myself to meet all the LIs before I glom on to one but I failed that hard bc well. KURT. 😅 He needs more love. The game needs more love. Bc yes, I agree with you, the visuals are so good and it's some of my favorite world building and I love it so much. I genuinely think this game is one of those rewired my brain things. The writing and the lore and the characters and the MUSIC and it's so pretty and I've dragged at least three friends into hell playing it. I even really like the combat now, even though it almost scared me off at first, lol.

Hello!! Starting the second playthrough immediately after the first is SO valid. That 80s movie esc ending where they told the player all the outcomes of the characters had me DYING so I obviously, immediately jumped right back into the game to cope. And honestly, how could you possibly resist Kurt??? Every time I go for another playthrough I tell myself I’m going to explore a new romance and then I DONT. How can you go through his whole personal quest and NOT want to kiss him?!?!!?

It rlly is one of those games that just rewires your brain. Just the insane amount of detail and care that went into constructing the game lore, music, characters, and cultures, is so beautiful! Makes me giddy just thinking abt it! Combat also freaked me out at first, but in the end, I learned that I can just button smash, dodge, and shoot and mostly be fine (yes i played on easy mode, dont judge me. I'm here for vibes only)

ALSO this goes out to all my other greedfall (and kurt enjoyers) LOVE YOU GUYS! thx for talking abt Greedfall with me and helping the brain rot ROT
