Drabble Day 8: Jealous

Prompt from @deancaskiss 's drabble challenge.

"Weren't you here when these things were made?" Dean digs his finger around in the thing full of novelty rocks, and they slide over his skin, soft and smooth. "Don't know why we gotta take a tour."

Cas doesn't even turn around from the wall of Ghosts of Virginia books. "They sell snacks over there. I think I saw jerky."

Dean stomps off because Cas essentially told him you're not you when you're hungry, and fuck him, honestly. Dean isn't the weird one for not being interested in walking around some stupid cavern, even if it contains the world's largest instrument with the greatest pun name that Dean, in a past life as a musician, could've come up with.

He (and Sam) turn up on time for the tour, though, and find Cas standing with a group of guys, one of whom is standing close to Cas. Like, very close. Laughing at whatever Cas said.

"Oh," Cas says when he turns around, "hello, Dean."

Dean's eyes move right past him to Flirty McFlirterson, giving Dean a scathing once-over. Dean gives him one right back, so there.

The whole tour is like that. Dean can't even appreciate that the Great Stalacpipe Organ lives up to its name because Flirt Boy leans in to whisper to Cas about as often as Dean tries to. Sam catches Dean's eye a couple times, nodding at Cas and this dude, as if Dean hasn't already gotten a load of it and wants to put it back where he found it.

Topside again, they part ways with Flirt Boy and Co.

Sam nudges Cas. "I think that guy was into you."

Cas tilts his head, cool as a cucumber. "I guess that's why he gave me his number."

"Really?" Sam grins brighter until he looks between Cas and the guy again, and he seems to think. "Would you want to call him?"

Cas glances over his shoulder, and Dean feels like time has stopped until he turns around. "He's nice, but... Not him, no." His eyes flick to Dean. Dean has to pretend not to care.

"Wh-- Cas," Sam starts, but Cas has turned around to walk to the car as if he's still wearing his coat and it's swaying behind him. Sam stares, and then shakes his head. "Huh. Go figure."

6. Describe your dream home.

My dream home is preferably located just far enough from a village that I can walk there in a few hours' time. It would be covered in moss and made of stone, yet have enough windows that the sun shines inside and that the forest nearby has spectacular views. Inside would always be incredibly cosy, just the right temperature with plenty of squishy places to sit and knitted blankets to grab. There are books covering every surface. There's an old out of tune piano in one room, and a small kitchen that opens out to the garden. Preferably a sleeping cat in the windowsill and chickens somewhere.

24. What are three places you want to travel?

This is a hard one!

I really want to go to Moomin World in Finland and visit some family friends up there.

At some point going to the Eyam Plague Museum in England is on this list.

Lastly, the Great Stalacpipe Organ in the US.
