Phone calls & texts today remembering a dear friend who passed last year.
Imagine 10 best friends all born in the 70's & 80's drinking $3 Yuengling Pitchers & devouring the best wings we've ever eaten at the best hidden dive bar in a/c now closed. We controlled the juke box for 2hrs, conversations and singing before we hit the casinos. But one man, Darryl standing 6'2" hitting all the high notes of Mr. Roboto and everyone in the pub 😂🤣. So much happened that night, and in the morning waking up to Swat telling everyone stay in their rooms, as 6 hotel rooms down from us they kick in the door 😂🤣.

Sometimes I stop and think about the time my best friend, her husband, and I were on vacation together and we found an old game of Trivial Pursuit in the hotel and decided to play.
It was specifically Trivial Pursuit for the 90s and a question came up that was something like "What pro skater performed the first documented 900"?
And my friend, with the extreme confidence of someone who is sure she knows the answer, yelled "Stephen Hawking."

“Dreams come true. In 1989 I won a scholarship to a theatre camp where I learned the choreography to my favorite song at the time - ‘Electric Youth’. I had an epiphany at that camp because it was there I learned the writer of my favorite pop song was herself just a teenager; already a global Billboard number one selling recording artist and totally in control of her career and vision. I learned it was possible to do what you loved to do - as a job! 33 years later I can’t believe I’m friends with this extraordinary woman who last night absolutely tore up the stage at the @elreytheatre in Los Angeles. I had another epiphany last night - which is that it’s possible to do what you love for as long as you want - and to fill a room full of love and joy and smiles and look damned good while doing it. Thank you Deb. You are, and always will be, my idol.”

I'm wearing my grandpa's hat. He was an awesome grandpa. He took me places, including a picnic at Microsoft. Which he worked for. He showed me around the building. I don't remember much about the tour, except Austin Powers was there (Not the real Mike Myers.)
I do remember Grandpa and I had fun on the tour/picnic and I think that's when I got Pandora's Box for PC.
Grandpa alo took me shopping along with Grandma.
He'd sing, "I love you, a bushel and a peck" to me.
He passed away 19 years ago.
I still miss him, but whenever I think of him, I smile.
I'm glad he was grandpa.
